123 High Street, Cranford, Heathrow, Hounslow TW5 9PB, Salmon
Traditional, 17th-century wood-panelled pub serving a familiar British menu.
Last day of a six week trip through France, Croatia, Spain, Portugal and Italy, and this was the tastiest, most satisfying meal of all. Blazing hot fish, chips, and onion rings. If youre going to blow the calories on fried food come here. Because: worth it. Generous portions, gracious, friendly service. Memorably warm staff. Thank you.
Friendly environment, great beers, excellent menu. Lots of regulars with local knowledge. Football and cricket on several TVs.
Very good service, food and drink options. Love the warm and traditional decor as well. The burgers are very nice. Had the all-in burger which was excellent. The chicken tikkas are some of the best Ive had. The chicken wings, salad chips were all very nice. Service was efficient and friendly. Overall priced reasonably and great value for money
We just moved in the area and I went to this lovely place as it’s the nearest to my house and had a lovely tea and want to say that everybody was lovely :.
Top notch pub grub served here in a relaxed atmosphere. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. The pub has a very inclusive feel to it with many internationals here, which I preferred from the usual builder slumped at the bar.The Caesar salad was absolute quality!Buffalo wings too are a winner
Best fish and chips in london, the staff are extremely friendly and have great suggestions and knowledge about their menu. The chefs take great pride in their dishes, cant recommend the place high enough.
Very nice pub with car park available.Decent curry, large portions. In the back, ample outdoor/garden space.
Nice atmosphere, staff very welcoming! Enjoyed the food, served hot! Definitely recommend
We were so excited to come here after reading the reviews. We ordered lamp chops, fish n chips and the salmon. My daughter did not like the salmon, and it indeed for food reason, it was not seasoned and lacked any kind of flavor. It took three people to come to our table, with the last person telling her regardless if she liked it or not, she had to pay for it. She took one bite of the food. She did not eat it. You pay for what you eat. What happened to making sure the customer is satisfied? They get a two, becauset the other food was really good. Remember, not all bad experiences will post on this site. So whatever the manager tries to come back and say after this post will only further solidify his guilt.
I came here after searching locally for highly rated Sunday roast and they did not disappoint!! A very generous plate of beef with roasties, veg, Yorkshire pudding and cauliflower cheese. A gravy boat on the side! Cooked very well! Friendly staff and a warm atmosphere in the restaurant area of the pub. I cannot wait to bring my family here!
You really won’t regret paying a visit here. Having stayed in a local hotel for 10 days, various groups of friends, including myself, have visited here numerous times to eat and drink. All of the food has been exemplary, and the staff couldn’t be more helpful, even at their busiest times they did their utmost to fit us all in! Well worth a visit, or two, or three…..
Very nice food! And staff very friendly!
Regular pub for us. Good choice of drinks. Understandable prices. Sometimes some menu meals arent available which is disappointing.
Lovely garden, friendly staff, food havent tried yet but I will. beer prices acceptable and the food is really delicious now that I have tried it
Great food and good atmosphere, especially when they have a live band!
Excellent food, wonderful cider. The Fish and chips where The best along with the Sunday Roast...
Very nice atmosphere.Really friendly staff.A great afternoon to be honest.
It was beautiful. Lovely atmosphere and the food was pleasant to ones palette. I went to share in a sad time for a friend and family but this place let you forget the pain. Honestly it was 🤗🤗brilliant.
Peaceful, family friendly outdoor dining spaces and delicious food and drinks!
Called up to check for Gluten free options for the kid and staff had a marked up menu waiting for us when we arrived.
Stumbled upon this pub during overnight layover near Heathrow. Authentic in every way. Food was great. Easy walk from the Moxy Heathrow. Wonderful accidental find.
Their back garden was not as I imagined. We chose to stay inside. What I first ordered was not available. I had chicken caesar salad instead and it was good but very basic. I should have tried their curry. I am not sure if I will go back there again…
Food is really good 👍Friendly staff and Cold Stella Beer 🍺
Scruffy outside; the bartender was very friendly. Didnt expect much in this area (so close to LHR), but, to my surprise, the Indian food was rather good. Would definitely return
A family pub with Great Food And Amazing staff. Drinks are reasonably priced and the Garden is to a decent standard.
It needs new ownership. Most of the staff need a new career, a different industry.Rude, shame because the customers and settings of the pub and size is A1.Dont waste your money, expensive too lol.
Large variety of food on the menu. Very good Indian food. It was close to the hotel we were staying at during a short stay in London.
Good food, atmosphere and friendly people. We missed our connection at Heathrow and had to stay the night near the airport. We walked to The Queens Head from our hotel tired and cranky but left fat and happy.
Nice meal before our check in at Heathrow. Quiet when we arrived at 9pm after a long drive but we enjoyed our choices. Unusually the teen had the salmon on a bed of chick pea mash with Pak choi and broccoli stems which she loved and the Mum had unusually, a lovely burger. Lots of lovely sounding curries on the menu, but as we live in Leicester I fancied something different
One of the best pubs Ive been too. The food was amazing. The owner was brilliant, so funny and friendly.
Lovely 16th century pub, possibly one of the few decent places to go if you are staying at IBIS Budget in Hounslow. My American friend wanted her burger after 10 days in UK and Greece and I wanted my last dose of Fish and Chips before I returned to the US where I avoid deep-fried food like plague. It wasnt extraordinary but not bad either. She had 2 beers and I had a pint of Prosecco. The bill was about $50.
Great pub in nice accessible location. Wide variety of drinks and food with reasonable prices. The food is quite commendable. A good place to watch sports too. The outdoor area can use some work to make it more appealing
We popped our heads in and it was mega busy, thinking there wouldn’t be room to dine. The staff noticed us amongst the crowds and caught up with us, and good job they did- we had such a lovely dinner! The best curry I’ve had in a long time. So full of flavour and generous portions. Good pint of London Pride too. Thanks for a lovely evening- if we hadn’t have been working for so long beforehand we would have stayed and listened to the love music.
Quick search on Google showed this as the nearest pub / restaurant to my hotel with decent reviews.Great looking building and well maintained olde world tavern feel as soon as you walk in the door (although 2 doormen is a little off putting but probably due to local licensing laws given it is Saturday with the Fury fight happening at Wembley). Was Seated promptly in the restaurant, and served by the friendly waitress who quickly got our drinks and took our order after explaining a couple of menu items to us. The menu has a good selection of food to suit different tastes although no mention of calories on the main menu except the term… “our desserts contain calories” as a footnote. When the food arrived, it was freshly cooked, tasty and very filling offering good value for money. We did feel a bit rushed by a gentleman (manager?who ushered us to another table as soon as we had finished eating, as the one we were sat at had been reserved after we had been seated (confusion among staff possiblyhowever the waitress was very apologetic and efficient after we decided not to stay any longer in bringing our bill once asked, I think she may have felt a little embarrassed on behalf of the gentleman. As a result of this it loses a star, maybe two? But the food was good and the service from the waitress rescues a star here.Shame really as would of liked to have stayed for another drink and soaked up some more of the amazing building and the warm atmosphere among the diners but didn’t feel welcome after we’d eaten.
Went to this restaurant / pub while in the area.It was very busy and packed with little seating due to an event ongoing in part of the building. However food came out in a timely manner and food was to a god standard. There was an issue with part of the meal which was quickly rectified.Staff was very nice and welcoming. If you like curry it is highly recommend due to the chefs cooking it fresh each day and as my family member said best curry hes ever had (hes normally complaining about food so must be good!)Recommend if in the area.
It was a good visit. Nice food also not much expensive. They have a separate restaurant area if you wish have eat more than drink. Parking available on site, not very crowded. I recommend to try lam chops which tastes good and prawns if you are sea food lover. Overall its was nice experience.
What a nice pub to visit the food was great. Felt like home cooked food. The staff was attentive and helpful. You would not regret at all. Please come and visit here. Free car parking on site too. Today they had live music playing too. The prices are reasonable.
We had what I would call a proper home cooked Indian meal. The staff are very friendly and polite. The drinks were cold the food is great .
Lovely pub, outside looks a bit cheesy but inside is nice and friendly with good food and a nice selection of beer.
Lovely friendly staff, were from Manchester so not our area.. food was amazing. Chicken wings was full of flavor, I had queen Tika curry was the best curry iv tasted ever definitely worth the money was loads aswel for price.. got trout witch in London is salmon but was still nice... kids meal well more than enough... Would most definitely return if in the area
Went to this pub today with office colleagues for lunch. Great food 🥘 good range of alcohol 🍷. Must say haven’t seen variety of food they have on menu.Spacious and good ambience along with very good staff for service.
Lovely pub with a beer garden and great tasting food. Ive had the Sunday roast which is great and more recently watched the England vs Croatia game. A very good family friendly pub. Highly recommended
Very nice and friendly place to eat and drink. Large garden outside, nice to enjoy the sunny days. Friendly staff and good food. Excellent to family too. Most importantly, very cold beer 🍺😎
Good local place with a decent atmosphere and versatile classic/modern menu. They also serve Indian food mildly spiced so its not crazy hot or spicy. Also do a Happy hour on cocktails 2 4 10.They have a carpark which accommodates about 25 cars, so parking is available.
A mission yo get yo but worth it to enjoy a classic inter-war and yet also 17th century pub. Drink selection was a little limited and thebig screen tv’s are unnecessary, but the warmth pf the atmosphere was great.
Nice venue, friendly staff. We went here for lunch on a Monday, everywhere else we had tried was closed so was good to find somewhere that was serving. Mixed platter was a little dry in my opinion so wouldnt have it again but the rest of the food we had ordered was nice. Staff very friendly and helpful despite this being our fist time at this establishment, a very welcoming place indeed. Would recommend this place for a nice lunch and it seems they have put a lot of thought into their menu, not too pricey either and theres a variety of options to try.
My husband and I went there on the 1st day we arrived in London. It was walking distance from our hotel. The food was very good, big portions on the plate we shared. We decided to go back on the last day of our trip which was a Friday night. It was much busier and the quality and quantity changed. I recommend to go in a less busy day. Also, the kitchen closes at 9:30 so be sure to order everything before then.
Great place with great food. Had some things from the lunch menu. The ribs were excellent and the fries done just right.Wonderful atmosphere and good music to go with it. Cute little area in the back outside with plenty of seating, and good service. Host is very nice and accomdating. 10/10 would recommend.
I just loved this pub. After a game of badminton it was an amazing place to relax. Great beer, superb coffee and crisp fries. Ideal place to see football matches as they have multiple screens. The only drawback was that the behavior of the staff could have been more cordial.Definitely recommended!
Nice place to be around... Food was okay... 👌🏻... Curly fries yummy 😋 n chicken looked delicious... Did not enjoy the veg momos much... as per my opinion it was just okay...
