Harlington Rd, Uxbridge UB8 3HX, Tan-Tan
This mock Tudor local at a junction has a typical pub menu, deep sofas and shows all the big games.
Amazing food, good music, friendly staff what more could you want? And their cocktails are very nice too. Also has a shisha part for people who want to smoke shisha. Also, it is always open until late so it is always very convenient. I had a birthday party here and it was amazing. Very nice place can not fault it at all!!!
Lovely food and brilliant atmosphere with great service from friendly staff.
Food tasty...staff ok, but some were very miserable and not attentive. Some didnt understand english had to repeat.
Cant recommend this restaurant enough we celebrated our birthday on the 18th September and what a fantastic night we had, all our lovely guests are talking about the Prince of Wales the food was fantastic, the service was exceptional, lovely waiters and waitresses looked after so well. Marks out of ten has to be at least tenThankyou Prince of Wales you made our Birthday so special see you soonGina & John
Fantastic restaurant, made my mum and dads birthday party really special. The staff are so thoughtful. An amazing place and the food is lovely too. Thank you very much
We had a wonderful evening the food was beautiful and we all had a nice time. You simply have to try the chips
The service was AWFUL, definitely the worse service I have ever experienced. Servers were consistently ignoring our requests and we had to repeat ourselves constantly to get what we asked for. The wait times for service was horrific. After arrival and ordering we were not served until 1hour and 10mins after, even then this was incomplete service and we had to waitan additional 30mins. Staff were cold, dismissive and not wearing masks correctly at all, social distancing measures were not enforced and we did not feel safe or comfortable there. Staff were getting face to face with customers and allowing customers to mix tables. Although the food was nice when we finally got it, the experience tarnished it. As a NHS worker, it was far beyond disappointing. We’ve visited before and it was a very similar experience.
Loved the place , delicious food ,fantastic and friendly customer serviceHighly recommended
Pub was bizzi music was greatService was slow but we expected that in 2 days climateFood good only thing they is they gave us 2 bills 1 .4 £300 had things on we didnt have 🤨then we queried the bill got another bill 30 seconds later with the right bill 🤔not Happy 😡
Good food and the best is that you can sit outside in their garden which is heated and nicely decorated. You can vape, smoke or enjoy shisha while listening to music or watch football or boxing. All this plus good service and friendly environment makes this place our weekly treat!
Lovely atmosphere. Very kind and polite staff. Nice beer garden. Amazing cocktails. Very tasty milkshakes, waffles and crepes. The best food in the area for sure. A variety of shisha flavours. Literally one of the best places Ive being for long time.
Had a lovely time. The food was delicious.Service was great.Staff was very polite.
The staff are friendly and the service is very good. The food tastes as good as it looks! And the Shisha is good. The garden looks great and has a positive atmosphere.
The pub has two main parts: restaurant/pub side and a shisha lounge.Food was great, mainly lebanese/ middle eastern.Would definitely go again!
Food was delicious and meat was lovely and tender. Service was great, very polite and attentive. Pleasure eating there.
Its changed to Turkish restaurant and sheesha place. . Nice deserts nice tea.
Visited yesterday for my birthday, not first time and definitely wont be the last!!!, staff polite and friendly. Food is very good, as too the atmosphere. Cosy and comfortable, also very convenient for us as we are a stones throw away. Complimentary,s to all staff and chef.
Chilled, cheap and cheerful, relaxing place with very polite and friendly staff. Would they have better desserts and it would be a 5* for me.
So glad this has re-opened. Same staff and a lovely covered shisha area at the back which is buzzing during the weekdays while the main restaurant may be quiet. You can have your meal here instead. Food is great, had the lamb cutlets which were excellent. All round, very glad this has opened in the neighbourhood again. Been twice in 2 weeks and enjoyed immensely
would give zero if i could. dressings on food ruining the dish which was not listed on menu. Coriander on food ruining the dish also not listed on menu. when food sent back for this reason staff member very rude. couldnt even order the bill as waiters ignored you for that long. not that it was worth paying for anyway
Great food and cocktails, I really enjoyed my evening. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. Also a really good price for the proportion you get. The Shisha was also amazing, very flavorful!
The food was lovely, looks great and tasted brilliant. I definitely recommend this place.
If you love food this Turkish place is yummy and they also do shesha.
the food was amazing and didn’t take long to come. the staff were great and showed good hospitality. there was a beautiful blonde girl at the bar who showed good service and always had a smile on her face! there was also a dark brunette who showed out standing service. she always had a smile on her face and was always making sure we were happy with our food. she made our experience 10x better !
Food was ok, but not what was on the menu... service was poor. Venue is pretty.Ordered the mixed warm starter, which is meant to have cauliflower - no cauliflower to be seen. The Lamb Tagine didn’t have the chick peas, apricots or prunes as described on the menu... it was basically a lamb shank. The environment is pretty, but the overpoweringly loud music makes conversations impractical. The real issue though was the staff, the waitress constantly ignored us - getting the attention of the staff became a game of waiting until the LOUD music stopped or dipped and shouting across a crowded room.
This place was always great, but following a recent close down for whatever reason, the service is now hopeless. They actually ignore customers. All different staff, except for one waiter. He is still as friendly as ever. The rest are surly, rude, and unfriendly. However, food is good. But friendly service is very important to customers.
Really friendly staff, good service , a good menu and lovely atmosphere. There is an outdoor covered garden with great music. Will come again for sure.
A lovely atmosphere however the staff were nowhere to be seen. A few times had to get up and try find someone which wasnt pleasant. Its a shame the service did not meet the standards of everything else. The rest was a positive; food and decor is absolutely amazing!
First time there. Loved the outside ambience with the warm heating, the food was very filling and worth it. Not expensive and customer service on point. A must try 👍😁
pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Truthfully, I think it provides the best atmosphere for a meal in all of uxbridge and Hillingdon. We wanted to sit outside, thinking it was limited to the cute tables outside, to our surprise we walked through a classy dining room, to a LARGE patio outback that was heated to just the right degree. Plenty of sheltered seating, and really comfortable lounge seating, some chairs make you feel like a king! Additionally, the food was scrumptious and reasonably priced. we experienced great customer service as well. would definitely recommend!
Didnt like the food although others seemed to. Been shut for several months now not sure if its because of activity no in keeping with the chain or breaches of the law. Not somewhere I would visit again.
Great decor and atmosphere from the outside looks like a pub (which was its previous usebut go inside and it is beautifully decorated, clean and bright. Shisha garden transports you to like a Morrocan Market. Food is great tasting and reasonably priced. Highly recommend
Not your typical pub. Serves mainly Mediterranean cuisine. Food quality and presentation were great. Lovely interior and pleasant ambience.
Very disappointed with this place. The male waiters were both unfriendly, wrong food order was taken and staff seemed to be unhappy, although it was their mistake. No apology, no smile, nothing. You can pay £5 by card just to be told during the next transaction that the minimum is £10. Unprofessional and I didnt feel welcome at all. I wont be coming back. The name of the place suggests something far different...
This one Star review is nothing to do with the quality of the food .... its for the rude and unfriendly service we had on sunday 15th while watching the world cup final. For start... my partner arrived before myself and asked for a tabIe and after some minutes she asked to change Cuz of her height she wanted to be closer to the screens... and it looked the waiter gptnvery upsey after her request. She had not friendly service at the bar... and it looks the reason for that is becauze she is BLONDE and we arent asians. I wanted to eat a chicken shawarma wrap and 2 salads... for the simple reason they do not make this wrap on weekends I decided to cancel salads and i was fine with that.... when my partners food arrived... arrived together with those 2 salads I DID NOT order.... and the waitress and waiter gave us the look like if it was our fault that they messed up. Very unprofessional service. Seems some staff simply dont like their jobs.VERY DISAPPOINTING visit. First and last time here
Waited around two hours for my food to come, and the place is extremely expensive for a pub turned Mediterranean restaurant near Hayes. The manager wasnt really nice not was stuff, drinks were average at best, only redeeming factor was that they didnt force me to pay for the food I ordered despite waiting two hours. (Note I paid for the starter but didnt get the main and chose to leave).
We dined in the garden area which is under a large gazebo, the decor was authentic Turkish. The service was good as was the food. This venue (in the gardenis cash only, but there is a free cashpoint in the venue.Definately worth a visit.
The Prince of Wales is now a Lebanse restaurant. It is beautifully refurbished with heated and covered beautifully designed space outside.Very experienced polite and friendly staff. I didnt have meal at this time, just a drink but Im really impressed with the service, I was made to feel like home. Never had this feeling in any restaurant I have visited. There is a customer car park aswell. Ill recommend this restaurant to everyone that wants to have a good time and excellent service!
Food was amazing but the service was seriously slow. We had a table booked for 7pm for two people. We were seated quickly but it took a long time for our drink orders to be taken. Our starters came and they were really good but I noticed a waiter brought out our mains whilst we were still eating our starters. So back it went to the kitchen to the hot plate I presume. About 10 minutes later another gentleman came and cleared our plates and the same guy tried to serve us our food again but was rushed away back to the hot plate again!! We were asked if we would be Ok to move tables as they had a big booking coming in and they needed our table. We were told we would be looked after as thanks for our moving. We were happy to move. Our meals came straight away but were cold. There was no one about to complain to and to be honest we were starving. When we were nearly finished the waitress brang us some sauces.........bit late. Our plates were cleared quickly and we ordered more drinks. These took 30 minutes to come. It was incredibly loud and although I could see four staff members they never came and checked on us or offered more drinks. One waitress even came over and offered to get us a drinks menu as the last waiter had taken ours and didnt come back for our orders. We ordered a taxi at 11...... thats how long we were there for, two course and three drink orders.Such a shame as the food really was yummy but I wont be going back as the service was abysmal, considering the amount of staff!
Food was delicious, service was very poor. Waitresses didnt smile once, they came over and tried to take our table from us before we had finished our desert, so they could get another table sitting down. I would go again as the food was very nice but not over the weekend. It was like a conveyor belt of customers. The manager saw pound signs and double booked tables.
Very good food! Clean, tidy and attentive staff. One weekend there is a belly dancer and though a little cringe it very entertaining. This was my first visit and i will defo go back. It was a little pricey for drinks (£7.95 for a cocktailbut as i wasnt drinking it worked out ok for me less than £25 for starter, main and soft drinks.
Great place to chill, music at times was too loud but good late bar to visit
Its now a Mediterranean restaurant (previously a public house). We went for my mother in laws birthday as a party of 5 plus baby for dinner. Contrary to other reviews, I am sad to say the food was average, and the the price was extortionate. Worked out to £40 per head (excluding the babyfor our order which included 4 starters, and one main each plus a bottle of red wine to share. No dessert apart from an ice-cream for the baby. Whilst trying to find something positive to say I can only think of the waiter being friendly and relatively prompt. Decor was okay, although the attempt at Christmas decorations was poor. As a local I was looking forward to this restaurant, but regrettably left disappointed.
Nice little gem. Great food. Good setting extra bonus - belly dancing
What an amazing hidden gem we have in our own area!!! Beautiful decor inside and in the smoking garden. The food and service is out of this world. Our new local go-to place!!
Nice venue, used to be a Pub, now is an Arab/Moroccan restaurant... has a nice Sheesha garden, but they need Paan flavour, ...food was OK too.
Beautifully refurbished, friendly staff and the food is just so good! Love this place. A welcome addition to the area. Have been numerous times and cant fault the place. Its spotlessly clean, family friendly and the food is exceptional.
The Sahara Lounge (opened in the former Prince of Wales while keeping the name on the outsideis a very welcome addition to an area desperate for quality food. Lovely Lebanese cuisine, a huge menu with very generous portions served up by very open, energetic and friendly staff who expertly managed a very busy and lively Saturday night. The food was delicious and went down an absolute treat, served very quickly and piping hot too. The staff were outstanding across the board and just completely fabulous with children too!
Very lovely place. Been here couple of times staff are fantastic, friendly and helpful. Service is great they are quick at serving food and always there when you need them. The food is delicious and it is a pretty place. I love sitting in the back garden it is so relaxing there and the out door heaters are great. Feels like you are in another world. At night I love the lights, feels like i am abroad. I find it so relaxing we sit their for hours such a wonderful atmosphere never feel rushed and their milkshakes are delicious too. Highly recommend this place. Great to unwind relax and have a good time. I love this place!
Went to Sahara City last night, the ambience is nice but unfortunately they do not have enough staff to cope. Whilst the food was ok I would say not good enough for a restaurant you would go back to, you can get just as good from a kebab shop, which is a shame as they could do so much more.
