124 The Green, Twickenham TW2 5AG, Kinkala
Large and comfortable pub popular with rugby fans, serving classic pub food and real ales.
Super rugby pub, great place to meet before a Quins game - much more crowded for England. Then pop round the corner to Twickenham Ales brewery tap room for one for the walk to the stadium.
I guess we were just unlucky today. Called into this pub for lunch, table of six, four adults and two children. Virtually empty pub and an hours wait for our food. After 40 minutes we were told it would be 6 minutes...twenty minutes later it arrived. I guess the order hadnt been sent to the kitchen initially. Food was good and we were offered complimentary desserts as compensation. These then appeared on the bill. There are loads of great eating establishments in Twickenham so we wont be back here. Also £5 for olives?? No thanks!!
Lovely meal and good range of local ales. Love this place.
Wonderful service-lovely garden- excellent coffee-exceptional manager. Planning a return soon.
Great pub with good food and nice staff, Serena really looked after us 😀
Great pub. Food was good and the staff were very friendly
The Prince Blucher oozes old world charm mixed with an indoor/outdoor ambience which caters for all age groups and tastes. The staff are always friendly and efficient and the pub offers all that is best about Fullers franchises. The garden is very spacious and kid friendly with separate areas for smokers and non smokers alike. The WI fi is fast and all in all its a great place to spend a sunny afternoon.**** Update....I revisited this pub after a long hiatus as its always been one of my favourites. I understand that inflation and price increases are sweeping the country but The Prince Blucher (maybe all Fullers locations?is really charging eye-watering prices by anyones standards. One pint and one spirit with mixer cost £16 ...the same drinks in the General Roy cost £7. I understand that Twickenham probably carries more expenses to run but the Barmy Arms (right on the Thames in Twickenhamis 25% cheaper for the same drinks and has the benefits of the river view and outdoor music, which is sadly lacking from the gardens of the Prince Blucher. Bitterly disappointed that Fullers have priced me out of visiting one of my favourite locations.
Watch out for the 10% service charge on food and drink orders for two people. It only states 12.5% on groups of 8 or more. Not very good for customer relations
Well organised, well managed pub. The food for a match day lunch was basic but good. Impressed with the ability to pre order which was not unreasonable. Slick operation in a nice venue. Will visit again
Stopped here for a coffee just after midday. Nice coffee pleasant and helpful staff.
Great pub! Friendly, clear and great atmosphere. I would bring my family there any time.
Nice pub.Happy smiley staff.
Nice pub with a large beer garden.Perfect for a sunny Sunday afternoon with the kids.
Ok for drinks but not good for food. Used to be great but the last time I went there the restaurant was pretty mediocre. Such a shame.
This is the place with the worst staff Ive ever seen.If the staff ignoring customers and when they finally pay attention you get the feeling you just ruined their day.The bartender was busy texting and ignored myself and another random guy, the guy needed to shout to him, after serving the pint to the guy, he went back on his mobile and ignored me.The pub in front was happy to have me with amazing service.Im sorry to say but as a local I would expect a bit more...Im happy to know the other pubs have great service.Hope you train your staff.
Nice pub, lovely out side space with a pizza oven and BBQ, cracking pint of Guinness and a short walk too the stoop and Twickenham
One of the best pubs in TwickenhamHappily we have a few local ones to enjoy their fine ales 🍺
The pub looks great! I havent been there for a few years and what a transformation!!! The staff were fantastic, professional and extremely helpful. I would recommend a visit there anytime. Great venue.
I went in the other day and I had a waitress that was ginger I think her name was maya, she looked after us all evening! Absolutely fantastic! 10/10Great atmosphere.Great roast dinners.I would recommend.
Nice pub on the Green. Can get very busy. Good garden especially in summer.
Good homely pub which is very well received by Harlequins fans. Decent pint of Pride, menu looked good but didnt sample it. Will certainly do next time.
Great pub for drinks pre rugby at Twickenham. Booked a table in advance to eat after the game as menu looked great. Turned up after the game to discover a greatly reduced menu which we werent advised when booking.Food was okay , staff were friendly but hygiene of the waiting staff was questionable....chewing nails, constantly playing with their hair with fingers and then putting their hair in the mouth before serving food...not a great watch!
Not the best pub in the area. For a (roughlyequivalent pint if Cask it is 65p a pint cheaper 5 minutes down the road.Atmosphere not that good either but their biggest failing was the beer; it was very warm; no evidence of any cooling at all.
Great pub, lovely staff, service was bit late but didnt mind as everything else was fab.Great change after how we were treated at the pub just across the road.
Great , friendly pub, live music was awesome with Blues and Soul band , nice garden outside
What a wonderful time had by all!! My Mum celebrated her Birthday here with a wonderful Scrumptious roast meal served by curteous staff, and the whole pub sung Happy Birthday! Prices, fantastic! Thanks to everyone at The Prince Blucher!
This place is so welcoming and has such a lovely atmosphere as the staff are so friendly and kind! Good food and drink too of course. Thank you, will be back many more times :)
Fantastic beer garden and food. Staff friendly. Only downside is the small car park luckily there were spaces on the green.
Very Close to Twickenham Green. Can be a little Expensive type eaterieNice garden area .bit disappointed with selection of alcohol l/asked for malibu was replaced with a stale rum of sorts wasnt told before drinking it 😳I felt sick .partner drank mine !!!!. prior to that had unwashed dirty glasses !! (so i left)bands played here were lively, some noisy clientele allowed to drink when already drunk🥴being a regular ... gets annoying when in to eat and enjoy the atmosphere..parking for e few cars nicely decorated outside bys.stop outside gate entrance to garden area ...
Food is ok to good. Nothing special, but ok for quick meal with mates. Wouldnt go there for a date, but ok for catch up with mates.Good service, prompt, fast and great attitude by staff
Came in to watch the football, great atmosphere, drinks served very quick and the staff were very friendly: specifically Izzy, Yas, Maya and Serena! They deserve a pint on the house! Top notch totty
Friendly pub, and bigger than you think it is going to be. Plant burger well recommended, really tastey. Drinks were slow to arrive through the app ordering. Nice clean and tidy toilets and well organised, would certainly consider a return trip.
Went here on Sat 5 Dec 2020 3.30pm 1st time ever. Food was lovely as were the staff and service. They only had one ale, London Pride, which was fine. I will come again. Toilets are upstairs.
Great place to have a pint, across from the Twickenham green, and has a lovely pub garden.
Beers and service are nice, but the food is a bit of a rip off. Small burger and a small amount of chips.
Nice atmosphere, friendly attentive staff. The food was good, but not amazing which is why I havent given 5 stars. A solid pub though, and a nice place to meet friends.
Decent but nothing like it used to be. How can a fullers pub only have London pride? No ESB in sight. They have also decided to focus more on being a restaurant. Pub doesnt matter anymore. Some staff are very slow
Service and price very good and the food tasty and the staff was nice, friendly and helpful. Now I want to go to try the Sunday roast!
This is a very nice gastropub. The food is always spectacular, it has a decent selection of beer (although the two Fullers winter specials, Fresh Tracks and Santa by the Surf, werent on, they had Camden Off Menu, which is jolly nice and v hoppyand the place itself manages to be large and cosy at the same time. While the service wasnt fast, it was a Tuesday evening, so we didnt mind. Also, when I wanted whisky rather than a dessert, they had Talisker. Highly recommended.
Slow grumpy service soured the good food. The burgers whilst tasty arent very big and make sure you try your chips before you season them, they seemed to be well seasoned already. Very disappointed by the service.
Good selection of well kept beers. Nice food. Comfortable surroundings and pleasant atmosphere.Great customer service, the staff are friendly and efficient.Occasional live music. Gets busy at weekends. Becomes a bit of a crèche for Twickenham mums during the weekdays.
Food was ok. Waiter forgot our chips but still charged us so had to remind them.Hot chocolate arrived warm.Customer service was nice.Cleanliness was ok, a few ants sure and there on the table though.
Always have lunch here before the rugby. Usually excellent. Now very disappointed that they are not serving hot drinks. How about drivers and teetotallers?! Ok, I understand the coffee machine takes time to operate but why not cafetieres or even a kettle and instant coffee?
Visited on a Sunday evening and was offered a great selection on the menu. A friend went for the beef pie and he said it was fantastic, also it was a very generous portion. Myself and my partner went for the burger and this was delicious. We all had pints of London Pride. Whats not to like!
Good selection of gin and served in gin glasses which is a nice touch! Good pub and big outdoor area. It’s family friendly which is great but can bring in annoying parents who let their kids run wild in the play area with no supervision. If you don’t have kids give that section a miss!
Enjoyed a late Summer visit with a delicious Bar board sharing platter full of tasty classics. I was delighted to see Dark Stars Hophead on tap in addition to the Fullers favourites (more guest ales, please!). Staff were very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the buzzy yet not overcrowded atmosphere. Our daughter enjoyed the visit, too and loved the spacious play area!
Had an area booked for this which was nice but I booked for 25 and I dont think the table space was sufficient. We had a great time though and the staff were attentive and friendly. We were under a tree and a bird pooped on us but that wasnt their fault haha. Reasonably priced and in a great location by the green. Perfect for summer drinks.
Went today for a Sunday roast, after 2,30 pm and we enjoyed an fabulous beef roast, well cooked, presented and abundant. The staff were very polite, nice and attentive. It seems the new chef is making a difference from last months, when reviews were not so good. It is a very commendable place, nice environment, very good food and drinks. Certainly will go back.
Very nice pub, The Blucher. Strong selection of beers and good food menu. Nice outdoor space too. Great venue for rugby games on the TV. Gets busy but good atmosphere. Bit of a posher setup compared to The Sussex over the road (my favouritebut equally nice places.
Great pub with a large beer garden and childrens playground that will keep young ones entertained for a long time.Over the last year the food and drink has improved a lot as they head towards being a gastropub. Prices are still reasonable though.
