The Prince in Kinkala
Description
A friend and I popped in for a meal and a drink after a long day of exams. It looked like a fun space.Asked for a try of a sparkling wine. The bartender was so rude. He actually rolled his eyes. I’ve never seen anyone so disinterested in their job.The glasses were so grubby, he struggled to find a clean glass. There were no beers available from the menu. Only bottled beers but rather than letting us know what was available, we had to ask several times, ‘have you got this?’ Painful!!So, we left. Went across the road to another pub and had a delicious meal, good selection of drinks but most importantly, great service.Don’t be seduced by gimicky furniture. Train your staff to be friendly and helpful. I work in hospitality and I love making sure people feel special when they’re out having a good time. That’s the job! Work in another industry if you don’t like serving people.
MoreVery very busy on a Friday night but has a great atmosphere inside.
Trendy crowd with reasonably priced drinks and fun music. Be sure to book a table in advance - it was packed even at 4:00 pm!
MoreLots of beer and nice food. Good place to go out.
Totally agree about bouncers. When I was there I spoke to them for about 20 minutes before pub opened. When it opened I walked in and he just said nastily that "you cant come in here with a football top". Why not telle earlier and I would have changed it in my hotel opposite.
MoreHad an excellent time for my 25th birthday with a big group of friends and family, we were greeted by a lovely woman by the name of Abbie who ensured throughout the night that we were well taken care of. Will definitely come back soon!
MoreLove the vibe in this place. The decor. The setting. The food. Except when it rains water comes through from the ceiling. As it’s like a covered garden type area.
MoreNothing but a money trap booked a table for 8 of us but there was only 4 chairs 💺. Whats the point of booking a table if you cant sit down?Drinks over price avoid!!
MoreReally cool looking place to go for a bite to eat or for drinks. The service is pretty quick and the staff are polite. The staff could be a bit more polite. They pretty much just smiled when we where there. The bouncers were very polite though. Smiled and wished for us to have a nice day. The food served from the burger spot is delicious. Foreigners should know that if you put your phone number, you won’t be messaged when your food is readying thankfully I asked about when our food would be done. I was provided a buzzer. The burger and the chips (frieswere delicious! I was in London for a week, stayed at the hotel right across from the place (Hub by Premier Inn), didn’t go until the last couple days, and it was some of the best food I tasted in London. Flavorful.
MoreIt is pretty much self service for food. Nice setting and good location to the station.
MoreGood food but for somewhere thats supposed to be a bar it is way too loud. Impossible to speak to anyone, even when theyre shouting in your ear. Asked (at 7pmif they could turn the music down a little and while the staff were friendly it only got louder.
MoreWhat could’ve been a lovely afternoon out with friends marred by certain members of staff.Being met by insanely rude, arrogant and aggressive door staff/security/“bouncers” should’ve served as an early warning but we persevered nonetheless. It seems despite the management stating that we could be let through, the front door staff took it upon themselves to allow their personal bias to decide who they “want” their clientele to be.The drinks were lovely, as was the setting, but again this establishment with huge potential was let down by more staff. Despite politely and patiently waiting at the bar for a bordering unreasonable amount of time we were met with more hostility, aggression and disrespect.Pardon my naivety but I expect that if you stood behind the bar you perhaps could help serve a drink but it appears some of the bar staff were more interested in talking amongst each other than help their patrons have a lovely day out.The cherry on the cake was being told by one person behind the bar that the ladies stood next to us had waited for far longer (they had notand that she couldn’t make our drinks when she was busy moving oranges from one container to another. This despite me starting the conversation by saying, “I’m sorry to ask but when you’re finished is there any chance of ordering our drinks please”. It seems apart from picking who they want to serve they also pick what they want to hear.I don’t pay to be met with attitude problems but it seems to be a growing phenomena in our “post-COVID” world.P.s. nothing bad to say about the management that day as they seemed to be the only polite and helpful staff around.
MoreWhen I want to brag about where I live I just say. Do you know the prince? It’s my local pub 😅. The best vibes in west London. It’s crowded on the weekends so you should make sure you have booked your table in advance. I love going there on the week days lots of space and food options and really nice and friendly people. Say hi if you saw me around 😉
MoreVery aesthetic and nice atmosphere and the staff are super friendly and helpful especially with explaining how things work :The food i would rate 7.5/10 for taste and value
MoreHad a quality time at The Prince for a family outing a few weeks ago. The bar staff were quality and extra praise to a gentleman called Oscar who went above and beyond for us.Will definitely recommend and come again.
MoreFun and relaxed atmosphere. Good drink selection. Food, provided by external companies, wasnt anything to write home about. Perfect for after-work drinks or casual meet up with friends.
MoreCheerful and beautiful atmosphere. Good beers, a great place to drink and chat with friends
MoreWent during the day on a Sunday so probably not the best representation but staff were not really onto it with the exception of the manager. It felt like they hired people purely based on looks. The staff didnt really seem to have much there in the head. Basic requests were replied with uhh... Doih~The venue itself is super nice though.
MoreI gave one star because I couldnt select 0.Ive booked a table for 20 ppl a month before my birthday, was confirmed and all planned and all guests invited. Less than 48h before, Ive got an email as my booking was cancelled "for a private event". Beyond disappointed, AVOID THIS PLACE.
MoreRude. Their website said no reservations for parties of 2 (that Google took us to to book). We felt like an inconvenience. Then after seating us off in a corner, they came to tell us our table was reserved in an hour. It would have been better to just say they were booked. We got up and left. Plenty of other friendly and appropriately priced places around. Glad we didnt stay.
MoreFantastic selection of drinks. Local independent food places inside too, offering delicious but very pricey food, of which you get small portions. Also the opening hours of the food places can be a bit strange and change last minute.Lots of TVs to watch major sporting events but definitely not a sports bar.Highly recommended for groups too! Loads of seats.Lots of different areas and moods to match your evening :)
MoreLovely venue for drinks on a sunny day. Great music, amazing staff!
After being at the location for 4 hours we were advised by staff that the table we were at was reserved from 20:00. At that time we relocated to a different table with no complaint. Following on from this, 20 minutes later, whilst finishing our drinks we were rudely told to leave the table we were stood at finishing our drinks. No table in the establishment had a reserved sign and nobody stated we would not be able to use the table we went on to stand at. Knowing that there were tables available for walk ins it is incredibly disappointing that the staff did not feel it was deemed polite or reasonable to offer us one of these tables. Having looked at previous reviews it seems The Prince are ridiculously precious over their tables, charging people for being a bit late and yet not allowing those that have spent at the venue to use the already charged tables….
MoreInitially a good vibe great time. At no time were we told that any table was reserved. We were asked to move later as the table was reserved, however there were no reserved notices on the table. We complied but after moving to another table we were moved on again 20 mins later. We spent in excess of £400 in our group, just to be pushed around by laptop orientated workers. We weren’t offered any alternative table. We work in the area and frequent the local bars. We will not be back. Sort your poor customer service and poor toned staff out!Avoid this poor overpriced venue at all costs!
MoreMehhh! Very mediocre. I would call it a B-Tec Pergola. I cannot believe I was charged £14 for a double Gin & Tonic when I found 2 extra charges for lemonade😅 Surely draft lemonade would be cheaper than Sipsmith tonic from the glass bottles.I went on a Sunday so was pretty quiet but could imagine the vibes being quite cool on busy weekends. There is also your choice between 2 resteraunt as directly attached (similar to pergola).
Morevery nice location that includes a Bar and 3 different restaurants: a burger, a Japanese temaki and a pizza shop. all are takeaway and you can take one of the many available tables. it is also connected to local attractions. the tube station is just a few minutes away, and its near the convention center.
MoreBar staff came over to our table, told us it was last orders and asked whether we would like to order more drinks. After we paid for a bottle of wine they came by 15 minutes later to say we needed to leave as they were closed! They then called security on us - the manager bar staff and security then surrounded our table and bullied us into gulping down the wine and leaving…I would NEVER go back
MoreI never ever share feedbacks and especially bad ones. I have to say the environment is amazing but the service is so bad... Booking lost, then found again. Restaurants closed at 12, one is "opening later because not ready" and the burger place, Ive never seen something like this before. Impossible to order, their machine is not set up "we should order on the app", why not ? There is only one burger available ! Once ordered and ready, they simply gave me my burger and my fries in my hands :we suggested a platter... What a mistake, another 5minutes to find the platter, I wont even tell you about the missing cuttleries ! At least we were looking pretty when experiencing this nightmare, which is important to them according the email send prior to remind you about your outfit. Maybe more time spent on managing the teams would be better than 3 e-mails reminding you to avoid shorts.
MoreFantastic pub. Great selection of beers and drinks. The bartenders were really accommodating and helped us out with drinks choices. The woodland garden is stunning and the good idea is amazing. We went with Bao albums and dumplings 🥟 They were stunning. Will definitely be coming back! Thank you
MoreAs you enter the Prince it it easy to be deceived by the size of it outside compared to the inside. This place is live and kicking on weekends with a great array of drinks and snacks. The DJ plays a great selection of tracks.During busy times its best to have a booking.
MoreReally beautiful collection of different restaurants under one roof. Very spacious and can host large gatherings easily (although do book ahead). We were a party of 15 and were able to all sit together in a large booth area. Many different food choices, a little pricey for what you get but everyone seemed to enjoy their food!
MoreJust a lunch time drink and a bite to eat but very good. Nice choice of eateries all under one roof. We had the Bao Buns and sweet potato fries and they were delicious.
MoreRegular here at The Prince! Vibes are always great, drinks slightly on the expensive side and sometimes the wait time at the bar can be long/tedious. Door staff/security are this places biggest asset though. Never have I met a bunch of friendly, polite and helpful doormen. Manager of this place is very rude and seems to have a chip on his shoulder.
MoreThis place has become west Londons uni student hangout -a very young crowd which draws the Essex types on weekends, and anyone over 25 looks out of place.Probably the only place in London where the bouncers wont let a fella in with a cap because of the typology association which is hilarious because there is clearly a racket type operating in here just without the hats... Girl in the toilet remarked how not one fella had offered to buy her a drink here and that was pretty telling (girl to guy ratio was 5-1). It was heaving and is a bit of a tardis but does close early because of neighbours.
MoreWent there for a birthday and had a great time ... The venue is huge , with different options for food inside , the birthday area is good and reserved ... The orders at the bar were coming a little slow , besides that it was good!
MoreCouldnt recommend more! I hired the Tudor Room upstairs for my birthday party and had such a fantastic night. The team at The Prince were so helpful in the weeks leading up to the event and always replied promptly. The minimum spend is also very reasonable for the venue and location (I enquired into several other places that were far more expensive). On the night itself, the bartenders were extremely friendly and efficient and the night went smoothly. Another bonus was that if guests wanted any food, they could just pop downstairs to one of the vendors and then bring it back up to the room. Overall, I had a brilliant birthday and will definitely be returning on another Saturday night. Thank you to everyone who made it such a great evening!
MoreWhat can I say, I truly did have the most AMAZING night at The Prince. Such a fun evening, drinks were flowing, the dance moves came out, instagrammable interiors, alfresco feel and gorgeous neon signs. The energy in this place was incredible that we literally did not want to leave. We were lucky enough to get a table in the ‘ Woodland Garden’ so I would advise to get a booking done well in advance
MoreLovely experience! This place is buzzing and the crowd is nice so I advise a visit it’s really cute!Staff are lovely and there are serval food choices, good drink deals as well!
MoreMmm 😋 i tried beef burger it was goodThe place is cool i recommended to go there
MoreGreat pub, very well decorated, plenty of space and good vibe! Staff is very friendly and good music. I will definitely go back!
MoreSituated a short walk from West Brompton overground station, this is a great venue for food and drinks with a choice of three restaurants for food.At the time of the visit ordering was made via an app and within minutes of placing a drinks order they arrived at your table. The staff were great and the price of drinks reasonable for London.
MoreVeeeery cool vibe. I celebrated my birthday with friends here. Totally recommend it for a fun evening, dinner and drinks🤩The food from BOLUDO(one of the restaurant options)is also great👌🏻You should try the steak with chips and🍸the espresso martini✨
MoreLovely vibe and great decoration, not very covid friendly, its clear they think outdoors means get away with cramming people together. Staff are nice although cleanliness is an issue - many of our glasses had residue on them and when asking for clean ones they were grumpy and tried telling us they were dishwasher cleaned (clearly not very well). Some food staff are grumpy too.
MoreReally really outstanding spot. Free drink option if you click on a link on their website. Garden area was beautiful (definitely book out there and not in the pubIt was warm and under cover but felt like it was outside. Watched the world cup quarter final there and was absolutely brilliant. We ordered a 20inch pizza from the restaurant upstairs and it was delicious. All in all a really great spot.
MoreThis is a gorgeous pub generally nice friendly staff. Cool, easy going people hang out there too. But the Tap cocktails downstairs are vile! Do not touch. But generally thier cocktails are pretty bad..and I love cocktails so that sucked for me and the beer was standard. Also people are the door are rude and if you dont have a reservation Im sure theyll be even ruder.i do like there are 3 different food places even though they were sub par. Due to high demand, if youre a really big group, even if you reserve they wont give you the amount of space you need. But I love the ambience so much its about 3.5 for me!
MoreToday I had a lot of fun at The Prince! The food from the shops around was amazing (we had the Salami Pizza and I tried the Mini Salmon Poke). I cannot give full 5 stars because the staff was not very helpful when we were looking for a table etc. Also I didnt like the fact that they use plastic "glasses".But the location is unusual, open, the food is good and the music was catchy. So it is a great place to hit when youre out with friends. For a date I would recommend other places that are more quite though.I can definitely recommend this place!
MoreIt looks really nice but staff didnt seem very friendly. Not a massive fan of the massive seating area. Once full there just seems to be so much noise and confusion around. Very hard to have a nice cosy time. Works better in big group get togethers rather then small or couple dates. 😔
MoreI think this place is great! Love the fact you can order food from 4 different places, just order and take a buzzer which theyll call when your food is ready to collect. The outside seating area is beautiful, really pretty and perfect summer vibe.We got a free frozen margherita by signing up before our visit, would advise booking in advance as it is super busy.
MoreBeautiful covered beer garden area with a fantastic atmosphere! You definitely have to book in advance as it gets very busy on the weekends. Good food options and a bar upstairs and downstairs.
MoreIt’s a interesting hybrid of pub and pop-up and brings something that West London is short of. The staff were really friendly and the food was good, and there was a nice relaxed atmosphere on the Sunday afternoon we visited.
