The Porter House Irish Pub in Mainz

Music a bit too loud, but other than that, not much to note. Friendly staff, helpful when you want to watch a football game that’s not currently planned on being shown in the bar, and a nice pubquiz on Thursday, among other days.

Friendly space with sports on TV and in house games. Quick service with an excellent selection of beer and liquor. No peanuts, just Pizza. Spacious and free seating, so you will meet friendly strangers and listen to new stories. Worth spending an evening lazing here.

Good place to have irish beer around maniz

Great place! Pierce, the bar manager, is very knowledgeable on beer and pouring protocols. He is Irish and speaks English well and so does a lot of the staff. It gets really, really packed during football games so plan accordingly. It can get a bit warm inside when theres a lot of people. Everyone there is friendly including the patrons. They did not serve food when I was there but theres plenty of options nearby if you want to bring your own.

I have liked the overall vibe of this place. Its a pub but if you need food theyll bring from other restaurants nearby. I mean thats an awesome service to say the least. We drank, enjoyed our Pizzas, enjoyed the atmosphere and shout out to the waitresses. They were very friendly and well-spoken.

A home from home pub that aims to take you back to Ireland. They have some great beers and wide selection of other drinks. Food menu has a small choice but good quality and decent portion sizes.

A nice place to watch live sports in the heart of Mainz. Good selection of both German and Irish/British drinks. Food looks good but I havent tried it myself. Staff seems to speak both German and English. A good place that I recommend.

This is an amazing bar, an Irish run bar with an Irish owner. We have visited this bar for years there is always a warm welcome and a great atmosphere.

I heard great things but I have to say its nothing special. Service is normal. Food is very poor. One of the saddest burgers I ever ate. Wouldnt call this a Irish pub but just a bar that services mediocre food.

Beer was only €3 on a Tuesday night and the barmaid was very helpful planning the rest of the trip

Its your typical Irish pub. Cant go wrong here. Trivia night is fun and you can watch all the sport there is.
