Food was excellent, staff was friendly, and the atmosphere is great! Not too loud, but lively nonetheless.The dessert options are wonderful as well, its well worth a stop if you find yourself in childress

Service is slow waitress unknowable and apparently so is the bar tender order a pinarita was not even close to what they advertised on Facebook no grilled pineapple no tajin rim and was luke warm so gross!! Food for 6 people took like and hour and 1/2 almost to come out!! And wasn’t that great at all!! 180.00 bucks!!! Y’all need to do better!!! I won’t go there again!!!

The salsa was bland, the “seasoned” ground beef was seasoned with salt, the sopapilla disintegrated and the papas ( mashed potatoesside dish tasted of the cardboard box it came from.

The place is probably the best run business Ive been in in a long time. They do everything right: food is awesome, sevice is amazing. I wish I lived closer so I could go more often!

Clean little place. Chips and salsa were okay. Ground beef chimichanga with queso sauce, pretty dang good. My husbands chili Verde chimi was okay, he said the meat wasnt tender but the sauce was dope and covered in a sour cream sauce that was good. Side salads were small but good. Yummo ranch.

I had a great time dining in with the good folks here at The Plaza. Wonderful people and great service. Now my favorite drink is the Bahama Mama and the bartender is was spot on. Truly a great drink with Mexican food. Thanks for making customer service GREAT AGAIN 👍

Thought I had pictures from this place! It was great service even while busy. I had the crispy relleno on the combo plate. So crispy! And the salsa and cheese dip and drinks were fantastic.

Ive been having lunch and dinner here for 6 years. The food has always been great with it tasting "like my mom use to make". Lol. But lately its anything but that. Prices are up, quality is down. Service is also taken a hit. There seems to be a lot of tension, the waitresses are in a hurry to get your order. The bill will have a tip added even if less than 8 persons. It sure seems like there is a new cook.

This place was one ofThe best we visited while I’m town. Service was amazing, Hazel took great care of us and had us leaving with a big smile. The food was great too.

Pretty good food. Had the chicken mole enchiladas which were good, but not the best Ive had. Salsa was good, beer was cold. Service was first class.

Normal its great last weekend it was lacking. Willing to give them another chance again but just one more chance.

We have been here numerous times. The food is ALWAYS outstanding! The service is always great. The restaraunt is always clean. I have never had anything bad to say about this place. Go try it...neither will you!

Don’t eat here Horrible experience! First time visiting and Was excited to eat with my family after a long road trip a good meal as you can never go wrong with Mexican food, well I was wrong! My order the experience everything! And the food was not good. I told multiple times to my waitress what we wanted, she got confuse with one of the orders, and totally messed the other 2 it was just simple a disaster then she called her manager and told him the issue and to make it better for us since she mess up 3 orders out of four! SERGIO who was not polite or professional at all insinuated that it was our fault for not reading the menu!( I did and order with the waitress she just messed it up! at this point he just grabs the receipt and handed it in a rude way and disappeared, no apology nothing just rudeness from someone that runs a “number one” restaurant around Childress area. Please save your money your time and go to another place! Even the staff complained that shutouts tell you a lot!

I wish I had photos to show but, we shoveled our food down too fast. We stopped here on a road trip and it is by far the best food we had for 2 days. The carnitas have excellent flavor and are super delicious. The cheese enchilada with red sauce was perfect! Service was kind and fast. Highly recommend this spot!

Most delicious Mexican food with very friendly service. The top shelf margarita, however, was underwhelming (was there actually tequila in there?), not worth it. But to just eat good Mexican food ... this is definitely the place to go!

The stuffed avocado was huge and so good. Decent salsa, and guacamole. The fajita chicken was great in anything it was in, and good queso.

We were traveling from Texas on our way to Colorado and searched for restaurants. This place came up with good ratings. We are so happy we stopped that we stopped again on our way home. TMI alert, stopping at a Mexican restaurant while traveling is not always a good idea. There were no issues here. We absolutely loved this place. Every time we travel to Colorado, we stop here for lunch. The food is obviously great and the staff are very friendly and helpful. There’s a BBQ place in Childress. Stop here instead, you’ll be much happier you did.

The food and atmosphere was amazing! The parking lot was packed but they have it set up inside so efficiently that there was still tons of seating.The queso was a little weird, more like nacho cheese but they made up for that with the salsa. I had the country fried steak and it was the best Ive ever eaten. My family had tacos and carnitas and they also said they were spectacular. We will for sure eat here again.

Im here from south Ft worth for work and visited this place for dinner this evening and boy it tasted amazing! This is all I ordered and everything I ordered was perfect! My waitress, Emma, was super awesome and attentive. She always made sure all her tables were taken care of, always smiling, laughing, making her guests at her tables welcomed and comfortable, like u would be if you were at ur own home. If you are ever in Childress Tx or coming through, stop here to eat and ask for Emma; u will see for urself on her performance and politeness; I will visit her one more time this week before I depart! 💯😁❤

Just as the t-shirts say “delicious Mexican food!” Salsa was flavorful but not too hot; enchiladas, tacos, and charro beans were great.

Passing through on the way to Kingman, AZ myself and a co-worker stopped in for a late meal. The food was hot and fresh, the staff was attentive, polite, and easy to talk to. The restaurant was clean and very open. This place is a gem and I look forward to eating here once again on the trip home. Try the Mexican stir-fry trio you won’t be disappointed.

Stopped in after booking a stay at the Motel 6 up the street. The food was hot and fresh, the staff was great, and the restaurant was as clean as could be. The atmosphere even late at night was laid back and quiet. This place is a diamond and I will be back.

Food was great !! I mean GOOD! Prices fair,staff were nice, place seem fair clean, restrooms were fair clean...the tea was too seeet but however hey fix that for us. Yea taste good very fresh..I really like there food great spot to eat in that smal like town I recommend. rEAL Mexican food none of that Tex mex stuff ....will come back....

Im truck driver taking a day off in Childress Tx. Let me start by saying, the restaurant has great ambiance and is very clean. My waitress was also very friendly and did a good job tending my table. Now, my chicken enmoladas plate. Being that I Im from a border town in Texas I tend to get very picky with this plate. Most Mexican restaurants get the sauce wrong. However, they nailed it here! They were delicious the sauce was on point the chicken was season and very fresh. The corn tortillas are homemade so they were great too. Its a great place and I will visit again. 👍🏽😋

Just got done eating some of the best Mexican food we have had in a long while. Very nice and very tasty. Good food grate service good atmosphere 👌. Thank you to the Manger for checking in with us tonight and making a tired truck driver and his wife feel welcome 😊. I would give them 6 stars if I could. Thank you. Will be telling other truck drivers in Crete Carrier about this experience. We come right by here😊. New best Mexican place 👍👍👍

Passing through Childress, we gave The Plaza a try. They had an extensive menu as well as a lunch menu. I tried the build your own enchilada combo with beef and cheese enchiladas and chose the Salsa Entomatada sauce and Jalepeno Cream sauce. I really enjoyed both sauces on the enchiladas. It was really good! Mrs. Flip Out had the lunch stuffed sopapilla and enchilada with sour cream sauce. She enjoyed her lunch but said next time, she would get a different meat option. Little Flip Out seemed to like his enchilada. Typically, when we have gone to other Plaza locations, service is great. This particular day, our server was not very attentive.

All I can say it The Plaza has great Mexican food. And they do the Birthday sombreros, Birthday song, and free desert.

The food there is absolutely delicious! You get a lot for your money. Its worth the money for sure!

Very good in all aspects ( but if you live in the area bring you own flat wear. The plastic wear is kinda cheap)

The building was warm and cozy, service was totally on the ball the whole time I was there, and very friendly, always asking if I needed anything. Food was hot and plentiful, chips were warm, my only thing that (Ididnt like was the salsa was not at all hot for me. Very mild, needed some heat, but that was it. Would I go back to this resturant. YES !!!!!

I have been driving for almost 10 hours today and just needed food. This place was recommended by my motel manager.The food was good but the service was absolutely terrible. The two employees I dealt with couldnt have cared less about customer service or cleanliness.The girl answering the phone and taking to-go orders doesnt know the menu and wasnt able to answer questions or put the order in without help. When I first came in I stated I would like to order to-go and she told me to wait a minute. Then, when she was done with whatever she was doing, she asked what Id like. I stated I would need to see a menu (common sense). When I asked what the special included she just said "I dont know". I had to ask her to find out.The same employee couldnt keep two to-go orders straight and was completely confused. Other employees had to help her. The employee who packed up my food, put it all together and then set it on the back counter. Im sitting six feet away. I had to ask if that was my food and if I could have it .I get back to my hotel and there are no napkins or forks with my food and my food is room temperature (the restaurant is across the street from the motel so it didnt travel far.)During my wait, I witnessed a server coughing into her hands and carrying a stack of plates against her dirty shirt (which was probably sweaty too).This place needs a manager who is involved in the service. This place needs help.

Excellent food. Stopped on the way back from a trip from Colorado and we love it! Our waitress was awesome!
