The Place at Condado in San Juan

The service was atrocious - server kept walking around to any table but ours and I had to chase him down to get our order taken. Had to do the same song and dance to get our bill after our meal, and then the server tried to pressure me into leaving a big tip. He wouldn’t even hand me the bill - he wanted me to tell him the tip amount so he could write it on the receipt. Very sketchy business practice there. Decent food, but every other place on the street has decent food too. Avoid this one.

Burger was great and so the appetizers. They have a nice open area in the back to sit and relax! Service was good, friendly but a bit slow…

Bought chicken wings with the BBQ guave sauce. That Guave sauce is to die for. However the chicken wings we over cooked so they were on the dry and hard side, in addition they were quite small.

Beer variety its amazing! Burgers are just next level. Love it 💕

Food was pretty good! All made fresh and service was excellent! Pretty hot outdoor seating was a no no for me but might be acceptable by most. Fans made the food cold quickly. Prices weren’t great but not terrible for the area. Overall good burger joint with some thrown in Latino foods.Burgers were great with fresh ingredients (definitely get the brioche bun), fries were yummy, empanadillas were good, and wings were fresh and good!

If you are visiting San Juan and you don’t eat at “The Place” you need to buy another plane ticket come back here and do the right thing 😆. We were on vacation from ATL looking for a dinner spot on 4th of July and just so happen to see this outdoor haven off the street. We are so glad we found it.

My wife, family and I stopped here on our last day in PR. Best burger I have had I my life! Quick service and good location next to the AC Marriott.

This place was very underwhelming to say the least. I usually like my wings on the more done side but these were super dry and I did not request them "well done" surprisingly. The sauce was provided on the side...which was another disappointment for the dry wings. The empanadas were too saucy and the seasoning used for them was meh. The wait times were also horrendous. This place was just awful. The one star is because I was hungry.

Really yummy and cool. They give you a menu you write on to select your food. Tons of Veggie burger options.Only downfall was that the food took forever and they lost a couple of our order menus, but we were in a huge group so Im not counting off points/stars for that lol.

Definitely has the best pizzas and empanadas!Great service. My favorite place in the U.S thus far; including Michigan!!!!!

Really enjoyed my experience here. No wait, I sat at the bar, and they have a HUGE beer selection and options to build a burger - very affordable prices! Bonus points for them having Heineken 0 for a non-alcoholic beer, but there are also other drinks if you dont want alcohol.

Food is delicious they give you a slip you pick out what you want to build on your sandwich your name goes on the slip NO MISTAKES unless you make it!We were extra lucky seniors graduated and they all came in Marching Band parents graduates we were so luckyOh and the drinks. Must have a bushwacker. Or a Mohito or your choice

HORRIBLE SERVICE!! Invited in to “sit anywhere” and sat I did…. FOR 30 MINUTES!! Everyone that came in after I did was served and waited on. The place was NOT PACKED AT ALL!! I have no idea what it tasted like! Maybe my money wasn’t good enough.

Awesome burger and pizza joint. I have been here several times and the food and drinks are always very good. I didn’t give them 5 stars because I feel they’re a bit overpriced.

Every single thing we put in our mouth was delicious and brought us nothing but pure joy! Our waitresses Bri was superb. Were just about had to try everything. Great atmosphere and we will be back!

We got to PR an hour before our check in so we stopped at the Place because it was next to our hotel and it looked cute and authentic vibe to it. I forget our servers name but she was SOOO nice. Medium height female with curly dark hair, so sweet and friendly. She even gave us some tips of where to go out that night and whatnot. The Place is a MUST for a casual bite and huge craft beer selection! The beef empanada and carmalized onion cheese empanadas were so good, we went back the next day and got some for takeout! Love the indoor outdoor set up and the sports bar feel. We also got the build your own burgers and they were really good portions and affordable too. Definitely recommend going here… contemplating flying back for the day to get more empanadas haha!

Great spot for wings, burgers and pizza. If youre looking for something to remind you of home because youre sick of all the pork and tacos and coconuts. Who could ever be tired of coconuts

Amazing food, delicious drinks! Hostess was very friendly and seating was fast. Our server Frank was super helpful with choosing a beer from their extensive list. We went with an ocean lab blonde ale which is a local beer- so good! We built our own pizza and it was so yummy we got one to-go. Fish tacos were AMAZING and very big portions. I recommend the mojitos, especially passion fruit! So happy we ignored some negative reviews and came anyway. We enjoyed ourselves and the experience was great.

My boyfriend and I decided to grab a bite here to eat since we had a pretty good experience eating here last time back in 2019. Guess those days are over for this place. Not sure if the young lady we had was new, but the service we received was honestly terrible. After taking our drink order, it took so long to not only get said drinks (it wasn’t even that busy mind you), but to put an order in for our food. Luckily the food didn’t take half as long to come out. However, once we received our food, unfortunately both orders were incorrect. I had asked for a half pound of an angus beef burger and caramelized onions and received a full pound burger without onions. My boyfriend asked for no cheese on his burger and was given a burger with cheese! As he is lactose intolerant, he obviously cannot have cheese so we had our orders sent back immediately and they were corrected. They added the onions on my burger and just scrapped the cheese off of his burger instead of giving him a new one. Our waitress didn’t seem to care that the orders were incorrect after mentioning it and never checked in with us to see how everything was. The burgers were mediocre aside from the sweet potato fries and onion rings we had. But honestly I feel like I could have gotten a better burger at the Burger King down the road. The only thing that saved this place was their delicious onion rings, fries and drinks. The strawberry margarita was really good and for only $7, you can’t beat that. If I even decided to give this place my business again, it would be just solely for the drinks. Do yourself a favor and just get a whopper at Burger King.

Delicious. I wouldnt have picked it because I was looking for more traditional food... but as we walked by I said "we will find a place to eat" and then looked up to see "the place" . Location is perfect, if you arent staying at a resort you will probably have to park several blocks away... But its worth it. Perfect island vibe and decor, has indoor and enclosed outdoor seating all open to the outside. Drinks were strong. The staff was super friendly. The food was impeccable. I am vegetarian and there were several options. I ate a side of sweet plantains and a eggplant burger. My friend fell in love with the beef empanada and still ate all three fish tacos.The main options are burgers, pizza, or tacos... But they are made quickly, with tons of amazing options, and all the things we tried were perfect and top notch for still having a casual vibe.

Every time we visit PR, we visit The Place at least twice. Yummy food, cold drinks, great service! Cant go wrong with the bacalao croquettes or burger and fries!

Mediocre pizza. Too oily; no smoked gouda available; bacon was cooked under the cheese instead of on top. They said "oh its under the cheese for some reason but its there". Wings were just ok. I asked the server for some water at the end of our meal (it was not given throughout the entire meal); I was given a bottle water and charged $1.50. Wont come back.

We were looking specifically for pizza near the area we stayed at an came across this laid-back spot. Spacious and clean with excellent service. There is pizza, burgers, fish tacos that you can build to your liking. There are a variety of meats and cuts to choose from for your burger and a selection of toppings for the taco and pizza. We had pizza with pepperoni, sautéed mushrooms, red onions and cranberries which was surprisingly yummy! Perfect pizza made in the fire oven. Oh, there is an extensive beer selection which had to have been over 100 different types to choose from.. This spot was exactly what we were looking for to wrap up a day of traveling. We plan to make one more stop before we leave.

Our waitress was amazing, her name escapes me. The food was amazing also, the burger was one of the best Ive ever had. The margaritas were strong. The decor in the garden is nice, thoroughly enjoyed myself.

So my friend & I randomly stumbled onto this stop trying to find some food. We originally went to one spot & left b/c it wasn’t giving what we were craving. What a great random choice! There is no AC & it has an indoor-outdoor setting but has a misting system. THE FOOD WAS SPECTACULAR! Every. Single. Item. The service is super slow but great so this isn’t a place to go if you’re in a rush but the servers are really nice. Highly recommend the fish tacos & yuca fries.

Huge beer list, burgers and pizza how you like it. Great comfort foods. My biggest complaint is too many choices. Be prepared to pick everything and completely tailor your meal. I like that option, but sometimes I just want an item to pick off the menu. If there were 6 or 8 premade creations, that would be better. Maybe even recommend some beer pairings to help beer choice. Food was good and did come as ordered. First beer ordered was out. All in all, decent place to eat.

I happened to be staying at the AC Hotel across the street and after waiting for my room to be ready, was hungry. Was totally surprised by the beer selection, although my first 2 choice were out of stock. Taco, burgers, pizza made how you want, with what you want. Didnt plan to come to PR for burgers, but worth the vist.

Oh so good, build your own everything! I did a pizza, mozzarella, goat cheese red onion, arugula, and the balsamic truffle drizzle. Absolutely delicious. Like most things in Puerto Rico it took a moment for the food to come out, but well worth the wait. Aliana was an awesome server.

The place is awesome and they were dog friendly. And the burgers are great definitely a step up from the ordinary. And great beer selection and the staff was also very friendly.

We had a great experience! They had a super long beer list probably over 50 and delicious burgers! Fresh meat not frozen. Had a very sports bar vibe to it. Lots of TVs playing espn. Shoutout to Veronica! Extremely friendly and vibrant personality. I recommend this place if you’re looking for relax evening with drinks.

Id like to say a 4.25 star rating!! It deserves a visit!! Tons of beer options. Burgers are fantastic. Bill is a tiny little bit hefty, however. My wife and I sat outside, had a beer and Margarita. She wasnt too impressed with her drink at $7. The beer, imported from Belgium, was $9.50. it was all worth the trip but like I said just a little pricey but absolutely delicious!!!! Great service as well.

Nice hamburger bar. Had the tostones de pana bun and yuca fries. Their Piña Colada is a must!

Great atmosphere, option for open air dinning lots of space between the tables, and the best part, custom make your own burger or pizza, friendly waiters, and free valet parking across the street.

Nice place to go with good friends or your partner. Try their "croquetas de bacalao". They are working well through the pandemic. Place is clean. Kitchen is open to the public and clean. Service is slow but very good. Purpose at The Place is to have good freshly made food and enjoy your time with your company.

Great place to hangout in Puerto Rico. It makes you feel like your back in the states. Humongous craft beer list from breweries you will notice. The food takes a long time to come out but the burgers are worth the wait. I just figure out what I want once I get there and I order it so that it can come out after a couple beers. The staff know English for people who do not know spanish

Very lively place with big seating capacity. I had a cheese burger with fries and onion rings and a coke. Service was nice and the fries and rings were good. The burger was nice but the bun was cold and not in sync with the burger.

Good burger, great atmosphere. Pay attention to the comments about how long it takes to get your food- this isnt a fast restaurant. Everything seems fresh made, and the place is really popular, so that explains much of the delay.

The Place is my go to ummm...place. Its the one place I always share with tourists and locals alike. Hell, I should have stock in this beautiful restaurant. I love it. Its like an old fashioned sports bar where they allow our beautiful pets to sit with us in our own tables. They have designated areas of course. And the burgers?Wow... best I have ever had.Unfortunately, it has been a little downhill since last year. And we were in "Maria Emergency" mode last year and yet I had a waiter who actually sang happy birthday to my beautiful Delilah. Brought her some water on his own accord and asked me where should he place the water bowl.Hope things improve over time again. They have a better parking now, so thats a start.Still, like my father always says: Theres always room for improvement.

My wife and I recently stopped in there (May 2018for a quick small bite to eat since we had another engagement to go to which included eating later so it had to be light. After looking at the menu and the time we decided to go with four oz cheeseburgers with fries. After about 10 minutes our food arrived and it was worth the wait. They make a very good cheeseburger and I wish I would have had an eight oz one... (see picturesbut as stated above the reason why. But next time we are in San Juan I will make sure that we go there again. Also a word of note, the staff was very friendly and quick with our order.Thanks!

I ordered a mango Margarita it was good, but a bit watered down. Also there was a order of a black bean burger & a order of sweet potatoe fries. I was told the burger was warm not hot. My order was chicken tenders, fries, and a 4oz burger(equivalent to a regular size burgerit was good and on point. I didnt like the fact everything was charged separate and purchasing water was mandatory, because they did have a water filter.

The bar staff were fast and very attentive. The place has a big variety of beer. Nice family atmosphere
