The Pennsylvanian - Pub in Wete, Tanzania
Its decent and the staff are friendly, but theres almost always been some issue with the order.
Typical weatherspoons. Busy, good value, quick friendly service.
A good spoons on Ricky High Street, good food every time I have been here and off course excellent value, staff very friendly, great atmosphere
Absolutely brilliant staff,helpfully and happy
Simple food great prices ordered via the app and straight to the table.
Glass of coke was completely flat and luke warm...makes me wonder what else theyre getting wrong, no way Id eat anything thst came out if their kitchen!!
Food excellent. Staff were very quick friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
I am a frequent visitor, to The Pennsylvanian . You know exactly what you are going to get ,good food reasonably priced with cheap drinks in relatively comfortable surroundings. The service is quick, the staff polite and overall a good experience. Its easy to see why its so popular with the locals.
Very enjoyable re-visit, we liked this pub.
Good location and decent pub meals.
One of the better Wetherspoons. Nice atmosphere and clientele. And always good prices.
Cracking "spoons".. Great prices, food was good and the obligatory usual characters were there..
Always a good place to come for food and drink, staff very lovely thank you JDs!! Xxx Coral and Dave xxxxx
Dropped in to meet others this morning for coffee. My expectations of the coffee were rock bottom. Pleasantly surprised at how good it was! The breakfast looked great too!
Lovely pub good value for food and drinks always too. Good to look out for Managers specials too 👌
It smelt really bad, everywhere in there. Especially by the bar, not sure what was creating the smell but it was awful. Moved from one end of the restaurant to the front but it carried all the way through..needs a deep clean as its really unpleasant.
The rice and the naan appeared heated from frozen - needed to be heated more. No ale or draught was available.
Had the meal deal fish n chips with a pint, good value service tip top and well certainly go again soon.
Its fine, standard Spoons, but its one of the grubbiest places Ive ever visited. The foods good, the beers good, but the cleaners (if there are anyarent doing anything. Carpets, woodwork, brightwork; dirty. Every corner dusty and every surface just a little bit sticky. Get some efficient cleaners in, please.
I really like the pub, the Ale is well priced. I found the curry lacking in punch, but staff will do anything to help. Long may Wetherspoons continue, as I love the lack of background music, it gives the pubs a timeless tavern feel.Added August 2022:Please give ten or fifteen minutes notice to those outside before you move all the chairs inside. My friend was away from the table and might have panicked to return and find his things moved.
We was a party of 4 ordered our meals with a drink included I ordered a barcardi and coke with my meal to much Pepsi couldn’t taste the Bacardi so went to the bar staff to complain ask if I could have a replacement drink was told no I couldn’t have one ask to speak to manager and she said I am the manager and said i couldn’t have one
One if the nicest Wetherspoons weve visited on our football away trips. Very quick service, the food was HOT, which it usually isnt in most other Wethers, an excellent experience.
Nice burgers and decent portions.Ordering is easy using the app and meals arrive quickly. Can recommend the fish and chips. Cooked well and lovely taste.
Went for great value Brunch, sausage and egg muffin was perfect. Service was friendly, bar staff helpful and accommodating. My first time here in a few years… they took the time to explain the coffee self service refill which was helpful. Went in for a quick brekkie, ended up having a few pints too as the atmosphere and place was very relaxing. Will be coming back again soon.
Great place to stop off and refresh yourself with good food and drinks to choose from at a very reasonable price. The only downside is that the toilets are upstairs like most Wetherspoon pubs
Awesome staff, great food and very reasonable drink prices!!
Visiting friends in Rickmansworth and chose this place to eat three times because it was so good. Had breakfast once and dinner twice. Everything was delivered promptly, freshly cooked and so hot we had to wait a few minutes to allow the food to cool. I absolutely recommend it.
Wetherspoons pub. Always a good pint and perfectly good food. Free refills with hot drinks. Cheapest prices by far and open until 1am. Table service via their really good app. Good atmosphere, great staff
The food had to be changed the egg came out the second time and was practically Raw Im disappointed in my experience today the staff were very unfriendly
Met a friend for pre match pint on way to Wembley friendly staff good choice of beers and lager grandson enjoyed the food over pleasent hour in here
Good choice of beers at good price. Food ok. Furniture as other Wetherspoons pub needs upgrade.
Typical Wetherspoons in a beautiful Rickmansworth high street, good food at great prices, always a friendly welcome to customers from all staff, clean toilet facilities, checked regularly.
Largely ambivalent towards service, drinks, food, value for money, location, opening times and overall ethos. However, spotted an intriguing cricket almanac penned by the late, great Bill Frindall in the makeshift library area so I’ll be back as sure as eggs is eggs.
Never visited before but very handy pre Theatre. Food was lovely. Very impressed.Just go early to get a table as packed at 6.Couldnt see anywhere else nearby so thats probably why.Young staff but on the ball. Would go again.
Really friendly, pleasant and helpful staff. Every single one of them.Great service and excellent food.Plus the usual great value for money youd expect from Weatherspoon pubs. Why would anyone go to other pubs in the area?10/10
We spent a lovely couple of hours here, on a drizzly cold Tuesday at midday. The staff were really nice and they had the fire on. One of the nicest wetherspoons weve been to.
We visit regularly for either Breakfast or lunch, we always get a warm welcome from the staff. Peter the manager goes above and beyond very friendly always time to speak and runs it like a fine machine! we witnessed his caring nature with an elderly couple yesterday. Cant praise the team and the food enough.Thank youIan and Julie
App failed to clear payments in PayPal and 1 bank. 4th attempt finally paid.Food looked good. But half was cold in arrival
This establishment is honoured to have Peter as the Duty Manager. He is probably the most hard-working and non-stop go getter I have ever seen. I am always made to feel welcome by the Team, the atmoshere and service is great and friendly.Keep up the great work👌Birju
Saturday 11 September. Excellent meal, good atmosphere, great beer. Bar staff courteous despite the pub being very busy. The young lady (Gemilia?who brought our meals and cleared our table when we had finished was very efficient.
Good for a spoons. Picked my food and drink selections earlier on the app and ordered as soon as I entered and found a table number. Drink appeared at my table within moments, serving staff were cheerful and polite.A nice Wetherspoo s in a nice location
Food was fantastic and good customer service from Pete and good communication skills very helpful and definitely come back again much appreciated
Pete and Carlin were excellent. Pete welcomed us and made sure we were comfy.I did a positive review approx 3 weeks ago but it doesn’t seem to have saved. Better luck this time. Best wishes to Pete and his staff.Martin and Iris Loughlin
Nice light and very clean place. Great Staff! Nice and friendly. Had a light lunch which was served promptly. Got exactly wat I Wanted!
Great and delicious food, and the service is exceptional, our waitress was Peter, such a good caring lad!
Great run of the mill spoons. Friendly service with nice range of beers and screens between tables. Much better than the dark n dinghy coach n horses up the road
After lockdown and loosing two parents in the last year I really needed to return to my local and was blown away by new management. Previously reviewed exceptional Peter and his amazing service making it a truly enjoyable dinning and drinking venue. I simply had a few Guinessess and they were beyond exceptional. Thank you Eddie for the clean quality drink , beyond amazing service as everybody is an individual clone of excellence that Peter and you always offer, nowdays staff offer constantly beyond 100%, Really Amazing. Also Id use to use my Weatherspoons App always at Colombia Press, Watford, though at Pensilvania such speedy service never have needed to get my phone out and use the app which is brilliant close to normal ish. Thank you Eddie and all the staff at the PensilvaniaKind RegardsPeter Sear
My husband and I have been regulars here for a few years and its been great to be back since reopening. Friendly and fast service, really clean and just a nice place to chill out. A great menu too as we are vegan with plenty options with incredible value for price.
Great spoons with great staff local banned riffraff sitting outside drinking there cans from across the road manager and staff wouldnt let them in and done a great job with no door staff
Cheap and cheerful. Was friday night, packed out and very noisy but no music. Good vibe there. No hostility felt like u get some places. Just had nachos. Mainly there for drinks. Lots of sauce but not much cheese or tortillas.
