The Park Ayutthaya Resort And Spa - in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Thailand
Good resorts..near many Wat around..u can walk or cycle around the place with cycling lane..all the way..
Definitely not a resort or spa. The room was quite old and it was clean besides some mould on the walls and shower curtain. Bed was very hard and basically on the floor. Felt the need to keep shoes on inside as the floor wasn’t the cleanest. Our room had a hole in the wall that they fixed by stuffing tissue into it?! They did not have bikes as advertised. AC was good and very cold. Staff was lovely as well. Close to Wats and a few eating options. Very bare bones place but most places to stay in this city are old anyways.
Okay, this place is, by all means, no five-star hotel, BUT I gave them five because the whole things just work. Price, location, staff, and the facility were harmoniously welded. Imagine visiting friends who live in a nice laid back house with picturesque gardens, in One of Thailand’s most historical cities. You got to jogged in the morning around centuries old temples. Moreover, the accommodation is generously priced. I visit Ayutthaya almost every time I visit Thailand and from now on will stay here whenever I’m in the city.
I forget my wallet in the room staff return tti too me..thank very much 🙏 good service.
There is a big difference between pre-covid and post-covid in Thailand. And based on the old reviews, this seems to be the case here as well! The strange rule to keep the front gate locked all day long, isn’t very welcoming. You get a rotten feeling hanging out in the garden without the key (child in the roomand multiple guests require assistance getting in and staff can’t be found anywhere! In the upper rooms there was no water pressure, we overheard that the watertanks were near empty. The water heater in the shower was unable to handle the low water pressure resulting in moments of cold water changed into moments of boiling hot water. The boiler eventually shorted and left a sickening burning stench in the room. There is no staff in the evenings and at 22:00 calling the contact number left at reception was useless; we were rudely reminded that is was almost midnight.Next morning at 6:00 we borrowed the key of the neighboring room to shower (they were checking out). The boiler was replaced with another used, but working, one in the same morning. The less I say about the quality of the bicycles the better (all of Ayutthaya’s bicycles are just as old), I wouldn’t even want to buy it for the 50 baht it took to rent one. On returning to the guesthouse for breaks, our bicycles were rented out (probably on us for not being able to use the rusted padlocks suppliedto other guests and we got even worse quality bikes back..On our final evening we received a phone call from the owner apologizing for the inconvenience. But to be honest, the damage was already done. The Park Ayutthaya has ensured that our Ayutthaya visit will go down as THE lowlight of our holiday. When I asked my 11 year old daughter how to describe The Park Ayutthaya she said “shit shower”.
Bad service just only from the start!I asked for more info because agoda does not show pictures for all types of room. The first chat is quite OK but did not answer all my questions. So I re-asked again but the next chat is ignored.Maybe the owner is rich enough and do not want more customer.Good luck for me that I have found another place to stay that the owner is very nice and willing to answer my questions.God bless her business!
Very bad experience. Nobody at reception desk. They dont accept us even though we have the booking at agoda. They dont want to give us the money back. Dont come to this hotel
This place is neither a resort nor spa. Strict rules about allowing non residents in the grounds and keeping the gate locked. Garden is beautiful. Nice cafe outside between 4pm and 11pm, however the cafe does play music that you can hear from your room. Excellent spot near the temples.
Old fashion resort with strict rules from owner and lamp working limitation at night so walk in dark place, if you are fine with that the rest all good. Bed is not much comfortable.
Great location. Super easy to walk out into the ruinsDefinitely more of a homestay, so dont expect the amenities of a hotel.
Amazing location, walking distance to the local park attractions & bike hire to have more flexibility. Not a resort or spa, fancy title for a guesthouse with strict rules imposed by over protective property owner! Friendly staff lack communication skills as each request required to speak to owner living elsewhere. Helpfull transport tips available but do your own research to get best value. Deluxe rooms in main house beautifully designed but impossible to feel at home as many signs impose restrictions that made the stay awkward.
If you are looking for something simple and friendly then this place is ideal. We had a warm welcome in good English. The bedrooms are comfortable but a little noisy so the outside bedrooms might be better rather than near the reception.Don’t expect a lot for breakfast however the town is not too far away.Train station is 10mins away max! And the temples are easy to get to via a bike hire from the hotel.Overall good if you want no frills but you will be wanting more if luxury is your thing.
This is the best guesthouse we visited during our three weeks long trip to Thailand. The place is very very nice. The rooms are just outside the house of the owner, in the backyard. The backyard is lovely and beautiful, and is very well maintained. The owner is a very nice person. He is very helpful and will give you good and useful advice. Rooms are spacious and clean.
