Kings Cross Station, London N1C 4AH, Sembe
Pub within a busy station with a light-filled atrium, serving real ales and a British seasonal menu.
Helpful, courteous and fast service.Really helped leaving the suitcase here, as Kings Cross is exceptionally busy and not much room for luggage trailing behind.Top tip! You dont have to wait in the enormous queue to get your case back again, just walk up to the desk!
Food and Ale good quality London prices as expected. a Very nice place to wait for a train. Staff friendly and attentive.
Good atmosphere, good beer & good food. Not the cheapest, but a superior train station pub.Helpful, friendly staff & some very comfy seats in the snug.
We booked a table for 10 showed up on time no table. There were more of us than expected but we’re just left hanging around the bar. Not the best Guinness I have had but definitely the most expensive. Nice enough place but wouldn’t go back.
Great Fullers pub inside of Kings Cross station, London. Nice range of cask ales, and the interior of a former sorting office is a joy to behold.I enjoy sitting in the atrium, but am equally as happy in one of the many side rooms.
Im a big fan of Fullers and its hard to find it in the Midlands / North, so being able to stroll into a comfy, calm pub in the middle of Kings Cross and order two of my favourite beers or pump (without even having to ask them to take off the sparklerwas absolute bliss. Its a good thing I dont have to commute through here otherwise my wife would be getting constant stories about me needing to work late. Looking forward to my next London adventure just so I have an excuse to stop by.
Great place which is conveniently located to meet friends for a drink and a bar.meal. the loft bar upstairs is sometimes a bit quieter. Good selection of beers and other drinks.
Good bar staff thanks to the young man that got me a fullers pint when asked as the bar was far away and I was sat at the front. Nice manners and well spoken, a credit to the pub.
In my opinion our food was OK... Baked beans were stone cold... No cutlery at the table. Service was very slow as we were the only ones there.
Great decor. Lots of original features, such as the old waiting room and fireplaces. Tons of tables in various areas to choose from. I had the breakfast bap with coffee. Coffee good; bap not so! The issue was the severely undercooked bacon. Chewy fat and meat not good. No tip given. But I would deffo give it another go: later in the day lol
Excellent roast pork. So long since I had a Sunday lunch. This was so good. Staff so friendly and helpful. What a gem 👌
Me and my partner used to come this place quite frequently. The staff has always been polite and very nice. I don’t know if there has been a new change of staff but today we found the tone of the staff quite rude. We asked to speak to the manager and he was exactly the same, so we decided to leave. When we arrived, at 11:50 nobody was able to attend us even though the place was quite empty. We stayed waiting for like 10 minutes until Somebody brought the menus, we asked for the brunch menu but we couldn’t get it because this is was not available after 12:00. We understand that sometimes it is not posible because of kitchen management rules but what it surprised us was the arrogant tone of the staff.Same for the manager who was even laying about the time we arrived at the pub.We are not coming back
Not only is this a fantastic food, with award winning ales and delicious food ... but it gives amazing views to the trains at Kings Cross, which is the best train station in London! If youve not been, you really must!!
Easy place to eat. Didnt have everything on the menu, which was a bit disappointing.Watch out for the pricey bottles of wine and the sneaky service charge.
We had a big company fitted into the Waiting Room room. Food served was great, lots of small bites, atmosphere was a proper authentic old railway station waiting room, staff was nice. I can recommend this place for team buildings or events like birthday parties
Surprisingly good pub within Kings Cross. Best quality are the friendly and accommodating staff. Went with a group of 6 people and was served by Lakshit. He gave us a private room for darts and music even without booking. Good place to close off the evening if you are in the area
Went to this pub this afternoon for a spot of dinner. The guy serving us was useless couldnt tell us the allergens in a meal we wanted to order. The food that was brought to us was not worth the prices they charge, also the mash and veg with the steak pie was cold. The veg if you could call it that was just cabbage and the burger meal was not enough to feed a child. Very disappointing for a fullers pub and then they ask for a 12.5% service charge.
Nice enough place to kill some time before the train. Probably some of cheapest drinks in London. Staff looked a bit miserable and couldnt seem to decide if food was table or bar service though.
Its looks OK, but theyre certainly taking the PI$$ with the prices. Everywhere else in Central London we paid £20 to £22 for three pints and a pint of Diet Coke, in here was over £28.00 for exactly same round. So glad we went for an earlier train home.
I like the Parcel Yard. Its sympathetically renovated and the food is ok, BUT the service is appaling. The serving staff seem to have no training whatsoever.; some are outrightly rude. Dont need this, so not going again.
I like the place. Great interior – it is worth coming only because of that. The food is pleasant too, decent selection of drinks.
Wow the dish of the day was awesome, I was served quickly it was extremely busy due to no trains running out of London.Wine was great, service was great. My only issue was that my table was dirty and not cleaned before my meal was served.
Cracking place and has a very nostalgic feeling to it. However, be prepared to have your wallet emptied, 2 sausage baps, 2 cups of tea was over £20
This old post office makes for a great bar above the renovated Kings Cross station.Very good ESB. The food in this Fuller’s pub is really good.
I really like the venue and location of the Parcel Yard and Im a regular visitor. Today I met with friends for lunch and ordered the seabass which cost £16+. The fish fillet was about 2-3"long, there was 3 new potatoes and a spoonful of spinach. Really!! How can you justify this ridiculous price for such a small plate of food. Ill have to find another place to meet friends 😕
Absolutely love this bar.The staff are great, the selection of drinks is fantastic and the location in kingscross Station is perfect.Worth a stop and a drink anytime your passing
Always a good stopping point if youre waiting for a train. Have a quick drink before heading home or on Holiday. Weve been plenty of times before but this time we didnt realise it would be so busy because of the rugby. It was absolutely packed full, so if you dont like your sports or you want a quiet drink avoid on sporting event days! We had a breakfast each to set us up for the day, all very average nothing outstanding. But will sort you out. Quick service and pleasant staff. Toilets are always clean when Ive been which is a bonus.
The Parcel Yard is located inside Kings Cross station next to Platform 9 3/4 and up the stairs. Two meals, two pints of cider ~£45ish. The food itself was nice, however I found the portion of the Sea Bream fillet to be a little on the small side. Our server attempted to setup a tab and when we later asked to settle it found it actually didnt exist, after putting a card in and confirming I do wonder what we actually confirmed? She also didnt really seem to know how to use the PoS machine, taking a few minutes to find the draft cider. We also asked for an additional menu that never came. The place is great if you find yourself delayed at Kings X but I would probably stick to bar service instead of dining in.
Scandalous prices. Check out these halloumi fries for £7.25. Rubbed salt into the wounds that they were showing as £7.00 on the menu.
Had a hard time finally giving a review like this but customers need be aware of the 12.5% of service charge, which was hidden in our case, in addition to our food and tip.We had a meal waiting for train. Kids picked it for the name of Fuller’s. Our waitress seems new as she mistook the menus between breakfast and lunch multiple times, and none of the questions about the menu items got a straight answer. Since she got called out by her manager a couple of time to cancel what we had ordered, we were going to give her a good tip for love and encouragement. However as soon as we placed the final order (and before any food servedshe turned around and brought a POS for us to pay the bill already. That’s really odd because we hadn’t seen anything yet, not even the bill itself, by that time … in consideration of perhaps her on-training situation and to prevent more issues with her manager, I went ahead and paid for the total amount which we found later already included the service charge. So I also tipped her, without knowing the details. What really disappointed us was her reactions when I asked for the print receipt and about the SC - she insisted that it’s required and she didn’t need to tell me about it before the payment.I probably would have tipped her anyway, just to help her get over the learning curve; meanwhile by this review I hope she (and maybe the managementwould improve services and transparency to customers as well.Close it in an old ending: “fool me once, shame on me…” don’t know what my kiddos learned from this experience, yet I wish they could do better forgiving and loving than myself.
Great location for meeting friends. I went for an informal meeting with a work colleague over lunch. My burger was really good and the online ordering at the table made life alot easier. Its not the cheapest of bars but theres a nice atmosphere (much nicer than you might expect for a station puband really helpful staff. The pub is kitted out Im old railway station type stuff which is really quirky. Well worth a visit whilst youre around kings cross
Popped in for a pint whilst waiting for our train. No complaints, plesant bar, good selection of drinks including decent beer. Can order from your seat of you prefer to scan QR code.
Amazing place for after work or team event. This place with some long history behind, what can be clearly visible by artefacts all around. What about food and drinks - they are definitely worth of your attention. Served very tidily. Good is really delicious. Check on my photos ;)
Awful. Took an hour for some cocktails to turn up, meals randomly appearing if at all. Feel sorry for the staff total confusion. Ok for a beer and crisps but anything else avoid. Food in picture looks nice BUT...the curry but should have been called 3rd class. Aldi microwave curry is tastier.
Very atmospheric its either a good start to your journey or a good end. Although having been many many times before its hit and miss as to whether you can get seated or not due to the pure volume of traffic. The food has always been good the drinks to, although a little pricey, but then it is Kings Cross, Whats not to like ?
Nice place to have a drink and snack at lunchtime. Staff extremely helpful and couldnt do enough for us a really great visit with a great selection of beers and wines and food. Great place to visit and a wRm and welcoming atmosphere from all the staff. Thoroughly recommend this bar
Thursday evening meal for 2, after having been at west end theatre.Friendly, professional staffNo booking but seated on erntrance on top floor.Good selection of drinks and food, drinks served before order taken.food delivered in reasonable time, well presented and of a high standard..will be back
Really nice pub. Got a real nice feel to it. Half decent choice of ciders. Need Thatchers in there. Guy who served me was sound as anything.
Great place to spend time before your train departure. Great selection of beer and Breakfast Bap was great
Nice place to while away while waiting for a train at Kings Cross. Beautiful interior and atmosphere; feels like youre there waiting for a parcel :)Four stars because their lift wasnt working and I had to carry my two heavy pieces of luggage up and down the stairs. I think the lift should definitely be working if youre running a pub on the first floor of a busy London terminal.
Great location at the edge of the station, plenty of seating and plugs to charge devices. Also felt light and area. Good range of drinks but extremely pricey, even for London. And the toilets are some of the worst I have been too sadly.
Arrived and found a seat right away. The server came fairly quick and took our drink and meal order. I was impressed that they asked about allergies right away. We had none so it didnt apply to us. We order the king prawn and squid appies and an order of nachos. With a pint of ale and gin for drinks. The food arrived quickly. The nachos were quite cool but i thought maybe the salsa, sour cream and guac toppings had cooled it off. The chili add on was nice. All the dishes tasted good with the exception of the excessive salt on the prawns and squid. I scraped it off. We finished our meal and they came and asked if we were finished and took our plates but then we waited for an additional 15-20 minutes to just get our bill...both servers had looked at us and saw our coats were on and drinks empty but nobody came with the bill until my bf started getting annoyed and probably looked as such. At that point the one who did not clear our tables asked if something was wrong and we said we need a bill. We then got sorted but it felt like they get you in and served but once your done it was like we were forgotten about. My suggestion is if you clear the plates and ask if we need anything else and we say no to be prompt on the bill so we can leave and make room for the next customers. The experience was mediocre at best but they were very busy as well.
A definite hidden gem if your not familiar with Kings Cross. A vast bar over many welcoming seated areas. And original Thomas Crapper toilets!!
Wonderful beer selection and really enjoyed the nachos with vegan chilli.Have to love the decor and theme of this place. Spacious with lots of nooks and crannies to chill for drink and/or food, whether just before or after a train ride or having a day out - not far from platform 9 3/4.I also love that they kept the old Thomas Crappers 👍
Perfect place to chill out, get a beer and some food before/after your train. Highly professional staff and the burger has super tasty beef, even if the "secret sauce" was a bit meanly added. Pretty good chips with it and the optional extra avocado has a nice spicy zing to it.Special offer on "train beer" and theyll throw in a bottle opener for your journey 😊Seek out the space with the lofty ceiling opposite the bar for good air circulation!
Great place to meet for a great visit to the Harry Potter trolley statue at Kings Cross. The Parcel Yard put on a lovely spread for Christmas and made our day magical. Friendly and attentive staff. Perfect meeting place for Arsenal away trips all around the country. Lots of different areas to sit all with different atmospheres, will visit again.
I chose The Parcel Yard for some work Christmas drinks in the Games Room. When I turned up a few minutes before start time, everything was ready and looked great. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food and drink were spot on. Its a bit of a random venue, being in kings cross station, but its a good spot and Id recommend.
Definitely a step up from the usual station pub. Great quirky space, easily accessed by stairs or lift. Friendly service and loved the layout with all the quirky side rooms which although the place was really busy gave a cosy, intimate feel. Loved all the railway nostalgia and classic British pub feel. Food was tasty but our dishes all came out at different times. The chips were a stand out - crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. Will definitely be back next time Im in Kings Cross!
Located within one of the busiest stations in London (by platform 9 3/4), its surprisingly a lot bigger and spacious inside than what it seems on the outside. I asked for some recommendations from the menu and decided to go for the steak, London Pride and mushroom pie, with the triple cooked chips instead of mash. When my food arrived, another staff walking by must have seen my facial expression, read my mind and immediately offered me more gravy (I love gravy and clearly there wasnt enough on my plate!). Such great service. The pie was a good recommendation. The meat very succulent and filling, with a light thin pastry. Wasnt too impressed with the chips though. They were a bit soggy and I felt cheated as they didnt seem triple cooked. I didnt like the sticky toffee pudding either. It was lovely and moist, but didnt really work well with salted caramel ice cream... Whats wrong with good old vanilla?Staff were also very helpful with trying to identify an ingredient in the honey & cumin roasted pumpkin salad - which was fresh and yummy by the way.Wheelchair access: There are lifts to take you up to the restaurant area and the flooring was so smooth, I glided with ease. Toilet was large and accessible too.Definitely a place to try with their seasonal British menu and light-filled atrium, especially now that Spring is finally here.
Much better than the usual station pub. Feels quite removed and calm from the hectic Kings X station. Upstairs bar and restaurant are much quieter and Ive had really great food here before - particularly nice salads. On last visit, upstairs closed "due to unforeseen circumstances" so experience not quite as good on a late December rush hour visit as we were seated in the main pub area. Food was just OK, with a small salad arriving despite ordering a large one, and lukewarm fries. But good service and I wont give up on it as location so handy and its usually great!
