The food was amazing. The steaks were cooked to perfection. The cream of asparagus was really good. And the escargot was out of this world! My first time being there but will definitely be coming back for more!! I had the ribeye and the steak had more flavor than any other restaurant I have ever been too.

Excellent food and service, and a classy, classic environment - just what youd expect from a fancy steak place thats been there forever! Good gluten free options and accommodating kids meals.

Atmosphere: Basically Chucky cheese. I didnt realize that the "family feel" meant that there would be crying infants at nearly every table around me. There was a happy birthday, a kid with an iPad on full blast, and a few children running around and throwing themselves at the seat against the wall that is shared by multiple tables.Dress Code: They have a sign on the front about being dressed appropriately and refused service if not but they let children come in their PJs, so dont worry about what your kids are wearing or how they act.Food: They have upscale prices with mostly good food. Two of us at the table ordered the 16oz bone in and one was a good piece of meat that was tender and the other was a tough but well seasoned steak with mostly fat and sinue. I received the worst quality steak that was seasoned well. It was not a $50 cut of meat by any stretch of the imagination.

If you go here you are stepping back into the 70s. Its a nice place for that time period and feels a bit like youre walking into a old time mafia hang out. Actually while we were there someone got up and played the Godfather theme song on the piano. I would say nearly all the food was mediocre, at best, except our main dish, the Bone in Filet Mignon. This was fantastic! So good, in fact, thats Ive gone back to enjoy it several times. Id go here for that if I were you and looking for a great steak.

I was not impressed with the food fare, especially for the price. If you like bland, you may feel differently.

Great steakhouse and supper club experience...sorta a 70s vibe.Great fillet and Brussel sprouts. Great cocktails.

They dont take reservations so expect a wait, Professional, courteous service, we thought the food was excellent .

Very good... waited at the bar about 25 minutes.. enjoyed great live music. Dinner was fabulous and the service was perfect. Just sorry I cant remember our servers name... she was so sweet and very attentive. She offered suggestions which were perfect.

Bacon-Wrapped Twin Filets = 👍🏿👍🏿Garlic Herb Shrimp = 👍🏿Wild Rice = 👍🏿Roasted Cauliflower = 👍🏿Aside from its seemingly elusive carryout methods and lighting so dim it makes you wonder if youve stepped into a bat cave or Draculas lair, The Paragon Supper Club is top-notch when it comes to its service and quality of food. The filets I ordered were absolutely perfect, with the portions of the sides being generous and just as well done.I really enjoy the variations they provide for the chefs featured dishes; because of that I rarely order from the staple menu. It can get quite pricey though, so I recommend this place for a special occasion or just a periodic evening out.

I worked here its a great place great people family owned and operated the food is fresh trust me I was literally in the kitchen helping stock the fridges and cooking the food

OMG what has happened with the Paragon? It was our 48th anniversary and so to the Paragon for our special day. We always have gotten our favorites. The food was NOT prepared or tasted as well as years gone by. 😩 My husband got his New York strip steak about 90% was good 10% grassel and fat. Most of my fried shrimp was done. But oh my goodness the hash brown potatoes were terrible. I took 2 bites there was so much oil that when I got home it took 5 paper towels to get most of the oil out of them. But the first taste of them reminded me of the instant ones. My salad dressing was great so much browned lettuce didnt eat it either. The stewed tomatoes had core and so much skin. Ok the waitress was pleasant and very efficient. She made our visit tolerable. Im hoping that things get back to the way the food used to taste. Things change but sometimes not for the better.

Fathers Day treat for my husband did not disappoint! Delicious food and excellent service!

Nearly everything about the Paragon is less than youd expect for the price and reputation, with the exception of the excellent service. The appetizers were satisfactory but nothing special; we started with a decent french onion soup and a smallish shrimp cocktail. The salads that followed were pathetic, and looked like they had been pulled straight from a Kroger package. My wife had to pick some wilted greens out of hers; mine was so drowned in dressing that I didnt bother. The entree list is conservative, focused on steak cuts and century-old dishes like stroganoff and veal oscar. I ordered a ribeye and she ordered a strip steak, both of which were cooked perfectly but lacked the marbling and flavor youd expect for a nearly $50 steak. The sides are also a disappointment, and any that dont resemble baby food come with an upcharge. The sauteed mushrooms were canned and bland, and the creamed spinach looked and tasted awful. Even the crispy onions that came with my steak lacked flavor. The exception was the great mashed potatoes, but you dont go to a $100-per-person steakhouse for mashed potatoes. The setting also left something to be desired. The restaurant has a beautiful wood interior with a cozy, dim atmosphere that calls for jazz piano but instead we were treated to what seemed like a bizarre one-man karaoke act. My takeaway is: If you are wealthy and elderly with conservative tastes, you will probably enjoy The Paragon (but youd be better off at the Pine or Oakwood Clubs). Everyone else will find better and more interesting food for these prices in one of Daytons many other fine eateries.

Meal was as terrific always. Dont need the menu to know to order the filet, which is good since Covid protocols have reduced the menu to a 8x11 paper. The booth setting are the same as they have been since the 1980s (which is as expected for this timeless treasure)

Not impressed. You can impress your prom date by treating them for dinner, but the atmosphere was low key. The grocery store quality menu items were nothing remarkable.The meager portions would be classified as sampler size in many upscale venues.Twp persons - $147. The Wellington Grill still holds the title this month.

This is/was my favorite place to eat. My family asked where I’d like to go for my birthday. I chose here. Was stopped at the door because my birthday cookie cake was not allowed. Might be back, but not to celebrate. :(

The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. They had soft live music. The steak was really good.

Ours server was excellent (I wish I could remembered her name 3/30/22 - we were seated in the back right corner), service was excellent - our meal was outstanding! I had the French Dip, my husband had the Trout.I love the atmosphere of this restaurant so comfortable, dim lighting, great dinner music (young man at the piano), excellent drinks and food. The bar is huge and can accommodate a large number of people. Thank you for providing us a great evening - We will definitely be back!!

We waited a good 20 minutes before we got served or even looked at . We ordered the tomahawk steak. It was cooked pretty well. But sides were a very small portion. For an upscale restaurant, I rate it a one . I’m not going back again

I rarely give 5 stars, but here I did it. We haven’t been to this local gem for more than a few years, but it’s one of very few privately owned, always a good meal, good service spot. From the hello at the door, to the service at the table, to the meals, everything was top notch and on point. 4 adults, in our 60’s, perhaps a bit discerning, all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I’ve had ribeye at some amazing restaurants but this may have been my new favorite. Of course, you will not get an inexpensive meal, but every penny will be worth it.

First time patron. Six of us enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Restaurant was very busy on a Saturday night. We arrived early so we could enjoy a cocktail before dinner.Appetizers we enjoyed together were escargot and fried oysters. First time trying both of these items. One person had the French onion soup, which they claimed was delicious. For our main entree, there was a variety of choices. I chose the Clam Bake off of the Chefs Special menu. A plate full of steamed clams, mussels, shrimp, crab claws, corn on the cob and potatoes. There was a side dish of melted butter to go with it. This was delicious and I would order again.Another item on the Chefs Menu that was ordered was a Waygu tomahawk steak, 32 oz. I had a bite and it melted in my mouth.The lamb chops were also delicious and tender. Pork chops were cooked perfectly and were tasty.Would love to return to dine again.

Absolutely fantastic!!! The prime rib was the best Ive eaten yet. My family members fillet mignon and pork chops were great too!

Ive had the pleasure of dining here twice so far, and both times it has lived up to the hype. Even at a time where weve seen many restaurants decline in their quality for various reasons, The Paragon is crushing it.The drinks are a 10/10, and their steaks are a 12/10. We got the filet and their bone-in ribeye, with onion straws and garlic mushrooms. Im salivating thinking of it now.Yes its expensive. But so worth it, just for an occasional fancy treat.

We made our first visit February 17th 2022.Overall, it was just okay. Nothing blew me away. I’d rather take my $85 to Cooper’s hawk.If I ever go back I’ll just get French onion soup and a salad.Bread basket was good. You can’t hardly mess up bread.The 3 crab claws for $12 were a joke. Not that great and hardly and meat.7 layer salad was good, but very strong onions beware.Veal Oscar was TERRIBLE. I had really high expectations. I had one bit, boxed it to go and I have a feeling it’s headed for the trash. So dry and tough.The side of broccoli was terrible. No seasoning or flavor. Just nasty broccoli taste. I’ve had very delicious lemon butter broccoli at other restaurants.Baked potato with chive sour cream was decent.We ordered all of the desserts. Strawberry cheesecake was good but I’ve had better. It was a whipped cheesecake not dense like a true NY cheesecake.Fudge ball sundae was sub par. I’ve had better hot fudge at DQ.Key lime pie was so tart we couldn’t finish it.Again these are all personal taste preferences.I’ve always had my taste buds blown away at Cooper’s hawk and if something isn’t right they will bring you and entirely new entree!I left feeling very disappointed.Not worth $85 to only enjoy the soup and salad.

I’m a Dayton native and I haven’t been there in several years. But tonight I had the best 12oz New York strip steak ever. Absolutely great service and atmosphere and ended up taking cheesecake home with me. Great Centerville place to eat.

A true classic full-service restaurant. Service is impeccable, along with the absolutely delicious dishes. It is obvious the highest quality cuts of meat and fresh ingredients go into their meals. Ambience is great, and you wont be disappointed. A true Dayton are classic and iconic dining experience.

We went for dinner on New Years eve, party of 7. I got their drink special, a peppermint martini, which was wonderful. I got the 8 ounce filet cooked a perfect medium rare to medium, baked potato, greens salad with blue cheese and those wonderful onion rings. Everything was perfect and Missy, our server, did not disappoint. Looking forward to going back.

The food was sublime! The steak was perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious, and the french onion soup and artichokes are fabulous starters. Our server, Preston, was top notch. He was spot on with every detail and was so professional. We just returned from three weeks in Florida and had dinner at fine dining spots such as Mortons and Eddie Vs. The food and Paragon was every bit as good, and Prestons service was the best service we have had EVER!

It is such an elegant place to eat. The food was so good 👍 I really enjoyed myself. I did not have a cocktail but they looked pretty

From the time we walked in the service was top notch. Our server was so nice and took great of us and all his tables he had. The Wagyu Tomahawk steak was cook to perfection 👌 😋 😍 we love coming here and will be back again soon.

This is some of the finest wining and dining in town! The food is fantastic and the service is outstanding. There is a nice atmosphere, but some of the tables seem a little closer to each other, at times making conversation difficult to hear. Plenty of parking is available. Prices are higher than most places in the area, but the quality of service and food is worth it.

Absolutely love this place the food is amazing, and the wait staff is extremely friendly. However, the host staff was not only rude but flat out mean. At first it took them 30+ mins to seat us when we were all on time for our reservation. Then after being there for a little over an hour they tell us we have to be out of our table in 45 mins because they had a reservation after ours. Which is fine and I totally understand having a reservation after ours but they were mean about us being there. Love this restaurant but the wait staff needs some serious attitude improvement especially when your paying $300+ for dinner.

I hadn’t eaten here for a while. I had the filet and it was delicious! I’m definitely going to have to come back here more often. I feel like it rivals the Pine Club but it is much closer to home. PS - the stewed tomatoes are delicious, too!

Visited June 27. Overcrowded, overpriced, and uncomfortable chairs. Boy are they cramming people in now. First thing the server asked was "how are we splitting the checks" even before all the party was there. Rude. One bowl of bread and no replacement. Server missed an item off the checks. Her fault. When she later realized, she whisked away both checks and added it to one. "I got to charge for that." Didnt get to see a copy of the itemized receipt so maybe she added it to both. For these prices you expect immaculate service, not slow, surly, incompetent service.

Amazing service, fantastic food! 👏Had the Bacon-wrapped twin filets with crab, artichoke hearts and bernaise sauce..along with stewed tomatoes and their famous hashbrowns. My husband had the 16oz bone-in filet. It cut like butter.. Shared the Paragon Supreme and Cheesecake for desert. YUMMMMM!

My first time there. We were treated by my son and his wife for our 36th wedding anniversary. The steak was "magical"- tender, juicy, flavor pack and cooked exactly the way I ordered it! Our server was great. Very attentive even though the place was busy. The ambience of the room was point on. Even though every table and booth were occupied , it wasnt loud and noisy. The staff were kind and mellow- it felt like they wanted you there, and were ready to make the experience as pleasant as possible.The phrase :" you get what you pay for " most certainly applies here.

Flew into town for work and wanted a nice dinner before settling into the hotel. Showed up on a Sunday night without a reservation and was seated quickly and had a great dinner experience. Definitely recommend the Paragon Supper Club.

My husband and I had our first date at the Paragon in 1979. It has always been one of our favorites. However, last night I was completely unsatisfied and will probably not be back . I ordered my steak rare and it was medium. My husband and our two friends were almost done eating before we could get the attention of our server. The "manager" brought my steak and offered a complimentary dessert. I explained how unhappy I was but she didnt acknowledge my complaint. What I expected was an apology and to ask me e what she could do for me.

EXCELLENT dining experience! Enjoyed the 18 oz bone in ribeye, seven layer salad, baked potato, and spinach. Waitress was amazing. She kept my apple martinis coming. For dessert I enjoyed creme brule which was excellent. Highly recommend The Paragon for your next delicious meal.

We went there for dinner for Sweetest Day and it was all really good. It was good food & good service and we will definitely go back soon. You can sub your dinner salad with their 7 layer salad & thats what we did. Had not had that salad since the Peerless Mill Inn closed and it tasted absolutely wonderful. Id go back to have that salad with their rolls as a meal itself. But the rest of our meal was delicious, also. A very nice dining experience for Sweetest Day!

I had pretty high expectations for this place because I have always heard great things but to be honest it was terrible. I ordered the scallops-which if you cook them right I love but if not cooked right are a terrible texture. Unfortunately that is what I encountered. The scallops were stringy and chewy. The baked potato was great though lol. I will say that one good thing is that as a carry out experience the food was very hot.

Our server was the best. The food was great. The wine was wonderful. You definitely get your moneys worth.

I love this place but for the first time, I was there on 6/27/20 and I had two bad streaks. The first filet I had was not tender and real chewy, the second was red with blood on my plate. I do order butterflied and well-done but have never had an issue, its always been delicious. I chose not to have a third one made. The waitress was very nice, I liked her. She at first told me the manager would be over and I told her good, I would like to see he or she. The manager didnt come over then after the second steak was bad she told me she would tell the manager and he or she would be over. After I waited and waited no manager. Then when I asked again the waitress told me the manager told her to handle it and she took the steak off the bill and gave me a free desert.. Everyone tell me.... Shouldnt the manager have come over to me period even after the first bad steak?! I personally think so and I shouldnt have had to ask.... I was VERY disappointed.. And I reservations later in the year.....?

It was our first time there.After making reservation i thought I would look at the reviews, to be honest I was worried they had some bad reviews. But the place was elegant and I would highly recommend that you try it. THANKS SO MUCH for making our evening so special.

Best Filet ever! Cooked perfectly cut it with a fork. Scallops were amazing! Prime rib melt in your mouth delicious! Service was spot on! Number one class act!!

• Good drinks, nice service, great steaks, light salads• Statting at the bar we had a good experience and well-made drinks, pretty good spicy bloody.• Appetizers were okay, not my absolutely favorite (the seafood platter), although the oysters Rockefeller were very good. Steak was done to my order, no complaints there, enjoyed it very much.I would definitely recommend the 7-layers salad!

Some of the food was amazing and some was par at best. Same for the wait staff. My server was wonderful but my experience at the bar almost made me leave. I had the ribeye and it was the best steak I have eaten in my life. The only reason this gets so many stars.
