411 Montgomery St, Syracuse, NY 13202, United States, Syracuse
Group of 3 theaters hosting operas, concerts, lectures, films, comedy & other performances.
Very easy to get to. Seating was comfortable and Whose Live was a great show!
Went to see Syracuse Ballet performing Stravinskys The Firebird. Excellent theater for seating. Extremely well performed and choreographed. I have been to one other performance in the Oncenter but a different theater and that was exceptional as well. Highly recommend!
Its a very good place to help you out when you need them sometimes could be a little crowded and the lines can be long but its worth the wait
Good display of all the new cars.
First time to theaters . Found free parking only a couple of blocks away . Line moved quickly through security . Seating was fine with a good view of the stage . Would go see a show again .
Kansas concert was awsome! The theatre and accommodations were spot on.👍
Oncenter doesnt have a bad seat in the house..Kansas the band had the appearance of age but rocked like they were 20 again!
We had seen a comedian here he was alright. The ushers were really organized on having people come on in as well as security being on top of things. It made me feel comfortable in a crowded area.
Saw Riverdance. Wonderful experience. Should have more upbeat musicals there. I would go to each one. Thank yoi
Great venue, easy in, easy out. Staff is friendly and helpful. Acoustics are excellent. Seats are comfortable. Concessions are, ok theyre pricy but not too awful.
DO NOT SEE A SHOW HERE! Paid WAY to much to see a comedian. Splurged for “mezzanine box seats”. It was a flat, concrete floor with stained old rolling desk chairs just sloppily stuffed into a tiny box. There was no elevation, so the people in front of us were the only ones who could see anything. Also, there was a giant pillar blocking the view. This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at a venue. Syracuse and the On Center should be ashamed. Charging money and fees for a broken down, dusty old rolling desk chair? Are you serious?
I WILL NEVER EVER ATTEND ANYTHING HERE AGAIN. I paid for a box and got double charged and could not sit in a box because I was told it was not available. I ended up sitting In the small seats that they have, ohh and they would not accept cash. Now I have to E-mail my recept and a copy of my bank statement showing both charges before I get a refund such BS!!@!!
Fantastic show! (Tedeschi Trucks Band). Great sounds, lighting, seats. Slow refreshments, since its cashless now.
The no reentry policy is ridiculous. No reason you cant go outside to get fresh air during intermission. And the "security" at the door was extremely rude to me.
I attended the 2022 syracuse area music awards. It was a great event 👍 the civic center was a perfect space for the ceremony.
Didnt see anywhere that cameras werent allowed, so I had to walk a few blocks back to the car. Nice seating.Click "like " if helpful.
This is my first time visiting the OnCenter, I was very impressed with the facilities but a word of warning, the incline to get to orchestra seats can be a bit daunting for the elderly.
Wonderful theatre. Easy to be seated. Seats are aging a little but still adequately comfortable. Very good sound. Ushers are friendly. Reasonable security. Safe. Nice Brutalist concrete finishes.
I was there in this place couple of years ago just to see some minor league hockey. Its a very passionate area and it has some wonderful acoustics for live concerts, nearby food areas to eat before and after the shows, and a vibrant nightlife just to get away from it all in the weekends.
The seats are pretty awesome, and there isnt a bad view. They mattered the height so no one is in your way. There seats for a little uncomfortable towards the end, but there wasnt an intermission at the show I was at, so that may have played a part. My one suggestion is to stop selling concessions that have crinkly packaging. Someone behind us are several bags of chips the whole time.
Another Broadway show A bronx tale was in town and just a phenomenal production. Everyone does such a great job and every role is important. Not to mention the show itself was wonderful too, but the staff at the venue are really great people.
Syracuse Opera at its finest! Packed House. Charismatic conductor. Sweet sounding soprano! Join us
Great stuff, very organized the place looks clean and up to date. Love every show.
Very awesome venue, The Hip hop nutcracker was epic and kurtis blow was a great surprise
Went to my first ballet last night and saw the Moscow Ballet Nutcracker and was totally blown away. The professional dancers were absolutely brilliant and the local dancers, including the young children, were very talented and entertaining. How proud their parents must be. Yes there were a few mistakes but that just adds to the excitement of a live show. The costumes were amazing and the sets were beautiful although I was a little disappointed there wasnt a live orchestra. There were some negative aspects that took away from the experience number one being the venue. Onadaga County should be embarrassed. The seats were some of the most uncomfortable ones I have ever sat in plus they were jammed together worse than airplane seats and the theater appears to be a work in progress that will never be completed. Other than that and listening to the man behind us crinkle his peanut bag and the woman next to him continually complaining about the music not being correct it was a fantastic performance.
I have seen two concerts at this venue; Alice Cooper and Dream Theater. Comfortable seating, well spaced concessions, slightly lacking on audio quality as far as theatres go, but much better than an arena or amphitheater.
Very easy to get to, get in and have great seat for a great concert. The venue is very easily adequate for music, theater and other performances. Sound is very inviting, even though I wear noise reducing plugs. Not positively sure, but I think you can see the stage from everywhere.
Saw Ghost at this venue last night. Perfect performance. Lighting and Sound we are amazing.
Saw Collective Soul here, great venue, easy in and out, they had adult beverages as well. Great time.
Great acoustics, street parking, event parking lot before your gps says you have arrived. Comfortable seats.
This was an awesome experience. We were truck drivers for Criss Angel and his staff. Want to thank everyone who helped us with showers, and laundry. Your staff were courteous and helpful. Loved doing this tour. Great show. Dont miss this experience.
Some of the food was really good... like anything bang bang shrimp was awesome. The lobster special was overrated. The lobster tale was really small. It looked big and the presentation was pretty but that was about it. However, I wanna get everything else on the menu. The ppl at my table had a nice assortment of foods and only the lobster tail was so so.Will definitely go back tho....the service was amazing. The waiters were quick and courteous and had little to no problem dividing out our huge bill.Fun. Yummy. Good experience
Took my 2 Year old son to see Sesame Street Live. Small, Clean, and Well laid out theater. It was perfect because I didnt get lost lol. The show was awesome, staff were really nice. I noticed they had Stroller Courtesy Services, as well as wheelchair Courtesy Services. I was able to get picked up right in front of the theater despite the big trucks taking up the small block. Im not sure about parking as I took an Uber that day. However it looks like parking would be limited, I do know they have a Parking lot, not really sure of the size. All and all I would go back for another show.
its time to update the seating, its like a high school auditorium. if the movie tavern can give you plush seating for $15 I think we deserve better than a faux velvet covered wooden plank for $100. not to mention every time someone needs to take a leak they have to crawl over every person between them and the aisle. the show was great but the seating is garbage. If the tickets were $10 Id sit on the floor and say thank you but thats not the case
Great Venue! Efficiently run by helpful staff. Always a breathtaking experience at a Celtic Woman show!!!
Saw Jeff Dunham here 3/14/19. Floor seats, they had us packed in like sardines, greedy to get the few extra expensive seats in, rather than the audience being comfortable. It was ridiculous how packed in we were. Surrounded by large people who took up my share of MY seat. Smh. Would be better off not on floor, thought I was doing a special thing paying more for these seats.
We had a great time at the car show. The difficulty of being an out of towner and lack of signage was frustrating, especially in the cold weather. Staff was very polite and helpful once we did find the right place. This venue is very large and clean, even the bathrooms.
Beautiful venue with great views of the stage no matter where youre sitting. Seats are comfortable and the staff is very helpful. I would avoid slippery bottom shoes since the walkways leading to the orchestra level seats are sloped fairly steep.
Attended Menopause, the Musical on 11/8/18. Sold out single performance. Plenty of parking within a reasonable walking distance. Well organized. Courteous and helpful staff. Adequate number of restrooms. Handicap accessible.
I was front row, center to see John Cleese. The seats were nice and comfortable. The support staff was friendly and helpful. Everything was wheelchair accessible. I would definitely attend another event at this venue. My only complaint is that th Oncenter owns three buildings all next to each other. As a person unfamiliar with the venue and the area, I found myself and at least five other couples having to check the doors of two buildings before locating the site. This one issue will not affect my rating. I was very happy once I got inside.
Great place! We sat in one of the boxes for the show. It was a great view and the seats were comfortable. They had drinks (sodas, beer, wine, and mixed drinks), popcorn, and candy available. Im not sure if that was just because we were viewing a movie or if that is something they always offer.
It was my first time going there and the layout was very straight forward. The staff was very nice and helpful. The theatre was much larger than I thought it would be from the outside... Whoever designed it knew what they were doing!I could hear everything on stage (though we were watching a movie and it could have been equalized better).
Seen a few concerts and musicals here. Acoustic are good. I like sitting in the balconies on the sides. More room, dont have to bother anyone to use the bathroom. Staff is very helpful. Long bathroom lines and food lines.
Nice theater. The seats are nice. Theyre sloped so everyone can see the stage. Comfortable with plenty of cushioning. The stage is big and open to for all sorts of performances and events. The lighting is good. The sound Im not sure about. I think the performers brought in their own sound system but I dont know for sure. There were definitely speakers on the sides of the stage when Ive gone.Overall its a great venue with multiple levels and comfy seats.
The Catholic Womens Conference was amazing, the speakers were very interesting and had so much great information to take away from their talks. Great vendors, great people. Will be going back next year. Wonderful place to have this event, great food provide by the Oncenter team as well!!
Attended a two day convention here, loved the set up, the building was clean and easy to navigate, the bathrooms in the bottom level are FANCY. They have a sitting room, couches, a variety of mirrors in different sizes and shapes. The outside was surprisingly well maintained too!
Nice facility that is well kept. It makes a great venue for a variety of events. We were there for the West Genesee kalidoscope concert. Staff was very friendly.
I worked here about 6 months and the management and employees are super friendly very down to earth and always ready to lend a helping hand!! as a customer the prices are kinda steep but for the price you wont find better service anywhere!! excellent theater and expo halls! I would recommend this as a place for employment as well as seeing a great play, show, concert, graduation, or expo thats come into syracuse! just ❤ this place!
The bathrooms leave a lot to be desired. The seats could use cupholders. Good views though.
The venue was terrible. And the security guards were very rude. I went here for a concert and Ive never experienced anything like it. The concert itself was good but the venue was just terrible.
