The Olympic Venue - Live music bar in Boise, United States
Babe rainbow last night had a great time fantastic atmosphere
Great place to hold an event. Wonderful staff and beautiful historic building. Go!!!!
Great avenue for an intimate concert!
We had a great time at the concert
Loved listening to music at the Olympic. Enjoyed Red Wanting Blue two nights along with Meghan Farrell.Sound was very good and the stage has a decent elevation for better viewing.Taps are limited, but good enough and nice pricing.
Attended Son Volt and was my first time to The Olympic. Exceeded the hype. Love this venue. Great sound. Great layout. Great staff.
Great venue and awesome staff!
Cool spot for a venue. A bit run down. Felt like night time in the middle of the day.
First time seeing a show. Stand Atlantic and With Confidence were amazing. Fun little spot downtown. Ill be back.
One of the best venues in Boise. The acoustics in the room are beautiful and the open concept of the space gives a personal, intimate experience with artists.
Layout of room is not conducive for stage shows - Stage is not centered in the room making for difficult viewing from seating. Also, they didnt have waitresses.Bartenders were their saving grace.
This venue keeps improving with time and theres not a bad seat in the house!
Nice venue. Great crowd! Well be back.
I have only had one experience here. But the drinks were great and the soundboard guy was on his A game. Super fun spot to see a show.
Attended Colony House concert and not only was the concert enjoyable, the venue was very nice. It was a beautiful setting and the bar had a wonderful selection!
I had so much fun listening to local bands and watching the watchers. Not too busy, but busy enough to keep the bands energized.Very friendly and helpful staff, clean and organized surroundings. The scene downstairs outside was a mob, but upstairs was a celebration of up-and-coming local talent.
College level... amazingly fun band. It was a great venue to hear them. Please have them back soon.ill go!
Not a bad seat in this place, cheap stiff drinks, definitely want to come here again!
Wonderful music venue. Had a great time seeing Charley Crockett and his band.
This is a great place to watch a show. Good sound, intimate venue. Always have a good time.
Reasonably priced good drinks and the sound is always done well. This has become my favorite place to go and listen to music.
Awesome venue. Really nice aesthetic, hosts good bands and shows, and a very friendly staff.
Its a neat old building for a party venue. In my experience there as both a musician and an audience member, the acoustics arent great. Improvements with that could go a long way to better the overall experience.
First outing to the Olympic... FREAKING GREAT!!! The staff was low key, the drink prices were on and the music was ridiculously good for a nice price (Scott Pemberton Trio).
Tonight was my first night seeing a show here (Daniel Rodriguez). This is probably the best venue in Boise! I hope to catch many more shows here!!!
Bad layout. Bar and bathrooms are to the left of the stage. Sound is not great. They get good bands. Just not a good venue
The atmosphere is a great spot in Boise. Its a very neat spot to always check out new music and upcoming artists in the area.
I had a great time. It was pure joy seeing Coco Montoya and his band. The sound was fantastic. The Olympic was a beautiful intimate setting. Friendly staff, clean venue. Love the skylight.
Terrible. I went to see a comedy show and they only had one microphone. So the characters had to yell. I was in the middle of the room and could not here half of what was going on. And since it is above a bar, I could hear the music from below over the performance. Also, it is just a large room with chairs so I couldnt see half of what was happening either. I left early because there was no point in wasting my time there. I will not go back to this venue for anything.
New favorite venue for shows in Boise. A Millennial Milieu. Lined with windows to view art on the neighboring building walls that beget unique character. The lighting throughout provides a warm aura. Clean and comfortable seating.
Reminds a little bit of the Crystal Ballroom in Portland. Intimate setting and everyone in a good mood. Cant wait to see Old Crow Medicine show there next month. Cheers!!
Wow what a great place just the most laid back place to watch a concert, high class people, very diversified crowd everyone just having fun. Will be back for sure
My favorite downtown venue by far. Great sound no matter where you stand. Great service. Cool vibe.
It was a nice open venue for a corporate event but not a very fancy. Just a basic bar and basic seating. The bar is big and seems to be pretty efficient.
Intimate show setting, and fantastic staff. There’s tables and dance space in front of the stage, so whether you want to sit back and enjoy the sound or get up in the action you’ve got options!
Small, but great venue. Great place to see bands that you might not otherwise see in Boise.
Great place to see a show. Sound quality keeps getting better. Lots of diverse bands. Plenty of seating if you feel like you need to sit down.
Saw Ok a Sweet, a great local band. Fun and friendly place to take in a concert!
Awesome venue, I honestly didnt know it existed until this last year. I had been passes it multiple times since Ive lived here but never noticed it was there. They have a great layout and you can alternate to Mulligans downstairs if you need a break from the venue. Nice staff
Very good venue to see a live show at great room to stand at the front and also very good sitting areas and Bar but it does not let anyone under the age of 21 in or even put xs on the back of their hands like some other venues do so be sure you are of age!!
Great upstairs venue love this place and the bands they book - will definitely be back!!!!
The venue was nice. Open and well organized. Easy access bar and there is an alternative entrance for wheelchairs and other physical impairments.
Small and intimate, the acoustics were pretty good. A reasonably stocked bar rounds out a generally warm venue.
I would like to thank this place for ruining our evening on April 18.Went to enjoy some music and all we got was a hassle. Two very rude arrogant guys at the top of the stairs asking for everyones ID. I usually dont take my wallet with me to crowded events,so had no ID.Was not allowed in,as were several other people.I am 67 and not used to being carded. We were with my son his wife and two other friends. So my wife and l left.To top it off my son asked to be refunded for our ticket prices and was refused. Was told he could go outside and try to sell themAvoid this place if you are seeking a nice evening and not a big hassle
Great little venue. Crowd control could be a little better. We go to venues to see the musicians and enjoy the music. Not to be trampled on by 22 year old drunks who just want to be at the front of the stage for social status. Also, maybe add a cash only beer garden? Its almost impossible to enjoy the show and get a beer. Besides the obvious, we had a good time and Im sure well be back.
The Olympic Venue is a really neat place for a music event. Ive only ever attended concerts here, but I feel like its uses are beyond that as well. The staff is always pretty nice and the shows are always cool and intimate. The only con to this place that I heard about from some of the guys from a band I saw is that there are people complaining of the noise from the concerts on either side of the building. Not sure what could be done about that, but it does limit the sound a little.Dont get me wrong, the punk show I went to was super loud and awesome, but I could feel a little restraint.
Intimate venue with a bar right next to the stage and half-decent acoustics. Dark wood is everywhere, and if you want to be sneaky you can order tater-tots from the bar directly beneath the venue and snack while nodding along to your favorite song.
This is a nice, intimate and unique concert and events location in downtown Boise. They did an exceptional job remodeling the space above Mulligans making it modern yet retaining the look of the old building. The acoustics are good directly in front of the stage but if you are sitting in the back the sound gets muddled. It features a full bar and a few micros on tap.
I looked up the liquor laws for idaho, which stated that you can bring a baby in a bar if they are small enough to hold. My baby was only 4 months old, I was just there to see my boyfriend perform. They waited until after I ordered a drink and had been there 20 minutes to tell me I had to leave. So I had to leave without drinking my drink. They made sure i spent money first.
Unique, nicely designed space, varied bands and great ticket prices. Its terrific to have another comfortable, small music venue in downtown.
