The Old Laundry Bar & Kitchen - Bar in Perth, Australia
Really great night quiz night was so much fun
Pretty hip and cool says an old guy ;-)
Beautiful place but very limited menu
Food fabulous, quite a funky place to visit. Staff efficient and friendly. Atmosphere is great. A real good relaxing place to have a meal
My husband and I have been fans of Old Laundry since moving into the area 18 months ago. We decided to get them to do the catering for our wedding reception, which was being held at Stomp Coffee across the road (See Stomp Coffee Google listing for that review of the venue itself).Okay - the food....I had a mix of dietary requirements (vegan, veg, DF and GFon the guest list, so we decided to do a separate package for them that covered off all of those requirements in one suite of dishes - and boy was their food DE-Lish!!!Then there is the other 75% of the guests that got the normal food. It was incredible!!! We got the substantial package, and because I was worried about people still being hungry, I also bought about 10 pizzas (also made by Old Laundry on the night). The pizzas were a mistake - not because they werent delicious, but because the substantial package really was enough food. SO dont make the mistake I did and risk wasting the food. Their food is unbelievably tasty and high quality, and there was well enough for everyone.I had grazing platters (BYObefore the catering started, which I would do again.Everyone raved about the food provided by Old Laundry. The guests were also highly impressed by the staff bringing the food around - they were attentive and very friendly. Honestly, the combination of the Stomp Coffee staff and Old Laundry staff working so well together, and the quality of the food, made our whole evening a total delight. Thanks so much Old Laundry - and well see you soon :-)
A neat little place with great food, beer and coffee!
Absolute hidden gem in Perth. Partner and I came for date night and the atmosphere was perfect with subtle background music, comfortable setting and easily able to converse with your table even when the restaurant is full.Food wise, we loved absolutely every bit of it, from the fries to the pasta to the beef and will definitely be back here soon.Wait staff, bar staff and the owner were wonderful, happy, attentive and very on the ball.
Went there today for lunch. It was quite but clean n organised venue . Order the fish of the day n it was delicious. Service quick n friendly, price was ok for red emperor
Amazing Event Venue! My husband and I had our Surprise Wedding at the Old Laundry on Sat 13/8/22 and it was perfect! In the lead up to the event Brooke was super helpful and just made it easy to organise, happy to answer questions and give ideas for a fun, beautiful event. From the moment we arrived on the day Freddie and the team were AWESOME! They were happy, helpful and just ready to have a great time with us. They were super organised which meant we could relax and enjoy our night. So many of our guests commented how nice and friendly the team were. The drinks were flowing and guests were quick to get served. And the food....soooooo delicious, the hardest part was picking what the have on the menu! Thanks so much to you all at The Old Laundry, we cant wait to come back! Love Jasmina & David xx
Best breakfast in town! We’re weekly visitors to the Old Laundry and never had a bad experience. Great staff and a great vibe!
Nice atmosphere with a sheltered outdoor area. Great for getting some work done, but note theres only one power point available to customers. Great vegan food, but could do with a few more vegan options.
Went to a wedding function here and the food, drinks, service and ambience were all excellent.
Coffee first rateMeze platter for two a rip off at $45 !Half that price would be realistic
Good service, and yummy foodNo aircon, so dont reccomend over summer.
Great atmosphere and staff!A lovely place to stop in for coffee and a snack
The food was amazing. We did the chefs menu. Did not disappoint.Cant wait to go again.
Gourmet food and exceptional service. Thanks to the staff this evening.
Loooove this place.Great coffee, the fried chicken was exceptional. Awesome relaxed service 5/5 👍🏼👍🏼
Lovely venue, staff and wines. The food was very good but the portion sizes could be larger. Heating outside was decent and there was no discomfort despite the cold weather.
We had dinner there last night. The food was superb. I been a few times and have never been disappointed. But I do agree with a previous reviewer the Brussel sprouts were a winner.
Lovely tucked away place on Angove Street. Child and pet friendly. We ordered the omelette and french toast and they were both beautifully presented and tasted nice .Would have loved more options with their coffees but thats ok.Keep up the good work guys
Casual catch up with friends for beers, cocktails and share plates- all served by friendly staff. Everyone enjoyed what theyd ordered, and there was a really nice atmosphere.
Top gem venue, laid back vibe with attentive service. Classic dishes with a twist and the lamb fillet special should be on the menu permanently. Great wines, great beer. Left excited to return.
The Old Laundry Bar and Kitchen - you are sensational. Had a takeaway tonight it was bloody amazing. Have missed you guys and just had to have some Korean chicken, salad and eggplant. You did not disappoint. Thank you.
My partner and I did ‘trust the chef’ and oh boy the five plates we got were so bloody delicious. But the experience was made so much better by Lani’s amazing service. Will definitely be back.
Cute, tucked away little gem of a bar! Came for a quiet few one afternoon and sat in the (coveredgarden listening to the rain pitter-patter on the roof!! Perfect way to catch-up with a girlfriend while sipping espresso martinis.Lovely spot! Highly recommend!
Lovely place. Quite small but they have given it an atmosphere of airiness and love the "outdoor" area at the back. Had a selection of food from shard menu and between two, shared five plates. Great selection and done really well. The Korean chicken was amazing. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere, well done.
Such a perfect stop to have a cuppa with mates. The coffee is great so is the vibe of this place.
This is one of those restaurants that puts everything into being "Instagram good". I had ordered the omelette and chorizo breakfast items, both the toast and chorizo were burnt. There was more mayonnaise on the plate than potatoes and trying to be gourmet I assume, they used a blue cheese in the omelette and it tasted quite badly. It felt like they were more worried about it looking good than the flavour. Would not recommend
I ordered toasts and mentioned to staff lightly toasted as I dont eat burnt toast. When food came, the toasts are really burnt... completely opposite what I asked for. Very disappointed. And I found there are a dog inside the restaurant. It is not hygenic at all. Some people can be allergic with pets.
Steak was cooked perfectly.Espresso martini 👌👌
Creative, delicious food and wine menu in a comfortable, tasteful bar setting- This is our favourite place to eat! We have been for both lunch and dinner, as a couple and with groups of friends. Every time the menu has been updated and weve found a new delicious thing to try! We tend to go tapas-style and get lots of dishes to share...except dessert- which was too good to share! :Crowd favourite was the Korean chicken!! This place delivers both on food and service- SUCH friendly and happy staff who always help advise and recommend dishes/wines, check allergies etc.Oh, and amazing cocktails and wine menu to boot..We are addicted to the place!
I arranged a dinner with a group of friends at The Old Landry after a recommendation from a friend. I wasn’t disappointed, the service by the staff all night was exceptional for Perth, and I even received a text from the manager afterwards to check in. I was also pleasantly surprised by their vegan menu options. Overall, a great venue with a lovely ambience, outstanding customer service and top quality food. I will be back.
Came on a Friday for dinner. The food was delicious. Went for a few share plates and a larger, pasta dish. The cauliflower is amazing and the Korean chicken is very good. The home made pasta was cooked very well.Neighbourhood gem.
Celebrated my 30th birthday here! Amazing staff and catering especially the functions coordinator who was the sweetest and so attentive. Organising and communication was easy, prompt, stressless and food was great! Highly recommend
Exquisite food, charming staff and a sophisticated ambience. They made a huge effort to make my birthday celebration a joy.We feasted on a bespoke designer chocolate cake : ))))Drank bubbles and the music created just the right vibe.Warmed me up and made me smile on a cold night out.Highly recommended!!!!
This place has always been great The staff are friendly, engaged and efficient. Has always been a fabulous place for a drink - I love the decor and relaxed atmosphere. We had dinner here for the first time last week.Varied and interesting menu - everything beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. But the highlight would have to be the desserts. So many venues offer a lazy uninspiring finish to dinner.Hands down the most amazing souffle at this place and we were fighting over the creme brulee. They were both perfection.Thank you for a great night guys. We are now regulars!
It was really busy in the weekend. However when I arrived without a booking the team was kind enough to find a table for me and my friendsThe service I received from Lani and Lisa was second to none. The highlight of the experience was the food! We absolutely loved the chefs menu!My friend ordered the dish with the truffles and it was gorgeous we all tried it.
Our carpaccio pappardelle with truffle was absolutely spectacular however the service was terrible from the moment I sat down. Wasn’t asked at all if we would like water for the table or a drink to start. There was just no table service at all. After 10 minutes I walked to the bar, this pattern was repeated throughout the whole meal.Food was amazing but if I was the owner I would be improving the service . Eating out is an overall experience.
Really sorry to say we didnt have the nicest experience. The service was good but some of the food was quite poor quality, specifically the grade 9 Wagyu steak. Ordered medium rare, and it was tough and chewy. The pasta was delicious once the radicchio was removed, the bitterness had not mellowed like it was intended. The market fish was also not great. Other foods were much nicer such as the cured snapper, croquettes and the Korean fried chicken. Overall not great, but staff were lovely. Probably wouldnt return.
The food was amazing. Venue, decor and vibe is lovely. Great place to eat and for a function. Cocktails were also excellent. The only downfall was it seemed the venue was under staffed and service was very slow. I asked 3 times for our cake to be brought out, my friend also asked a fourth time, took around 40 minutes for it to be brought out after we finished eating. I also noticed some extra slices were cut and they werent put back into the box which I thought was strange. It also took a while for the cake to be cut and brought out to us (20 minsand I found my own spoons to give to guests. Aside from this everything else was great :Id just recommend having more staff on for a function.
I attended a baby shower for about 20 guests, in the court yard. The staff were great: attentive and obliging. The food was so so good. The mini quiches were really delicious with short pastry out of this world and I also loved the croquettes. In fact I ate so many I was unable to eat the main courses. I was assured the fish and chips and sliders were superb too.
Have been here a few times and cant really fault the service, food, coffee or cocktails.Great spot for Sunday brunch with a few unique boutiques to wander through afterwards. If youre feeling like a cocktail , try The Girl From Ipanema. Its sweet with pina colada flavours.
We just came here for a mocktail and some chips to nibble on. The gent who served us was great and mixed me up a great mocktail - obviously his personal speciality! And not too expensive at $8. Chips were hand-cut and delicious. The "outside" decking was particularly good as it was actually enclosed with polycarbonate sheets so it didnt get too cold at night, and nicely lit for ambiance. An impressive little place. Next time Ill try some of the other food!
Good breakfast, with a lot of flexibility on the menu. Little expensive for what Im used to on the east coast, but this is typical of Perth so its understandable, really. Overall great brunch venue
Wow... Totally Awesome Find .. Do not get to this area much but The fabulous Coffee and The Vegan Lunch Should be enough to encourage us to return... I am a Coffee Addict... 7 coffees later and One very happy Customer.. That would be Me ... You Must check this Place out
Service was exceptional but the food was really average. All 4 plates of salmon were very overcooked and the charred leeks were chewy and stringy. The miso paste was good.
Had a quiet drink in here meeting a friend after work on a Wednesday. It was wonderfully quiet.Great service from a lovely young lady, good range of drinks and food. We just had a Ginger Beer, which was priced normally for Perth. The Chips were delicious, so good I ate them and then realised I was supposed to get a photo. Ha ha next time. Will come back if the opportunity arises.
Set in what seems to have been a laundry, this coffee shop offers trendy lunches as well as a medium size selection of dishes. We tried the brisket which was nice yet a bit on the expensive side. Service was very friendly but slowish.
Extremely smooth latte. Rosti with poached egg and hollandaise was spectacular - the eggs were done to perfection. Enjoyed the ambience, décor and service.
