We had a very wonderful stay here. Clean and upscale environment. Outdoor pool is a must go. Walking distance to mrt and lots food shops. Very convenient location. The best thing is they have their own parking, but just need to validate the ticket before you go. Last but most importantly, very good services of all. Nothing to complain about this place.

Living in the royal suite is the best experience I ever had.

Can’t use pool and gym due to gov restrictions related to vaccines . Shall be noticed before booking a room. Need to pay deposit NTD 2000 at checkin , this is unthinkable to me.

A disappointing stay, we only found out on our arrival that the swimming pool and fitness center was closed for maintenance. It was our main reason to go here in the first place, especially because the weather is perfect for a swim this time of year. They apologized but I didnt feel thats fair to guests not to inform them beforehand. They offered late check-out but because of our schedule this wouldnt work. A lack of good planning on the hotel part, by closing both facilities at the same time, guests will be doubly disappointed.

Like Okura Hotel in Kyoto and other cities, Okura Prestige Taipei also maintains its traditional and classic styles, including working table in room and partition doors between living quarter and bathroom. The hotel itself also has various contemporary paintings displayed at every room and in elevator banks of every floor.For the comfort of visitors stay, the spacious Hotel room has wood floor in living quarter. For the clothing cabinet, the Hotel provides 10 clothing hangers for the visitors, and that is generous and considerate for the visitors and rather unusual when compared to other hotels.The bathroom has a separate TV on bathtub, similar to many other Okura hotels, such as in Amsterdam.Room is clean and well maintained in detail by friendly and courteous staffs. To welcome guests and to follow Okura tradition, Hotel generally will place origami of crane on bed.The Hotel has buffet breakfast program, which is popular and liked by the visitors. It has all sorts of food dishes, including meat, fruit, yogurt and others. For the vegetarians, it provides varieties of the steamed, stirred fry vegetables, in addition to salad and Japanese style pickle and other vegetables. Even for eggs, it provides 5 types of eggs, in addition to on-site egg cooking service per customers preference. The coffee is dark roast and espresso has decent strong taste. For some vegetarians who enjoy oatmeal with mixed nuts, visitors can also find them.The Hotel has gym at the 20th floor, which also has reading room, and warm water swimming pool on roof floor. Swimming pool maintains its water temperature at 30C generally, and it has an attendant on site.

This is the worst customer service I experienced during my stay in December at Okura. You could imagine these people are offering mediocre to lousy customer service at a 5-start hotel. Customers can expect cold and ruthless Japanese samurai style during their stay. Not helping mothers with babies. Not arranging facility services to the 5* hotel standard. They can get a pass, never a distinction.

Enjoyed a good buffet that included unlimited wine and whisky. This slightly smaller buffet avoided the crowded conditions of larger buffets but provided a nice range of high quality food. I personally enjoyed the perfectly cooked beef and range of cheeses. I recommend that they swap the risotto (ordered at the tablefor another dish that can be supplied quicker as we were full by the time it eventually arrived. It was slightly expensive at 1600 per head but that included quite nice wine.

We tried the buffet-style Continental Room a few days ago, which was slighty less than NT1200 (incl. service feefor the six of us. The food selection was decent, both Asian and Western style cuisine had its place on the menu, so surely everyone can find something to eat. As a promotion for September, we were given lobsters as well.Limited selection of self-service booze (wines, whiskywas available too, although I did not dare to test after how many shots will they ask me to vacate the premises.Staff was friendly and attentive too, so nothing to complain about.

The location is excellent.The walking distance to the Metro stations is less than 5 mins. There are many department store nearby. For the hotel facility, the room is neat and well organized. The bed is queen size and comfortable. The room service is also great and they response promptly. This hotel also has charge stations.

We were having drinks at the lobby bar and accidentally broke one of the glasses. And the hotel CHARGED us for the broken glasses. Although it’s not much amount but it didn’t feel right at all. We never got charged by a hotel for a broken glass. So we all decide we will not ever return to the lobby bar for drinks

Super friendly service, helpful for helping me with gluten free desserts. The best beef stew and lamb Ive ever had. The manager explained very clearly to me and helped me with 5he dishes. I had AN INCREDIBLE TIME !

i recommend the Bakery on the first floor,especially the scone ,Toast,and my favorite Lemon Glazed Cake is good taste and suitable for coffee.....

Second stay in Okura this year. Service ispretty good. Room is big, and the view isalso amazing 👍. Enjoy breakfast, manydifferent kinds of cuisines. I also enjoyedrelaxation area. Great room and great location, but terrible service and organisation at the restaurant both for the dinner (where I couldn’t sit inside because my booking for the restaurant "didn’t expressly mentioned that I wanted to stay inside the restaurant"and the breakfast (where I also had to stay outside of the restaurant and cross the queue of people waiting to enter every time I had to go from the buffet with my plates to my table). So an hotel with great potential, but in the end, a less-than-average experience...

Lovely and unique design style of pineapple cake! I’ve never seem pineapple cakes in slim rectangular brick like looking shapes that paper-wrapped by using different beautiful pattern. This would be a perfect “bring-back” present for friends & families who like “not too sweet” pastries. Impressive🌟

Far worse service than other Okura hotels I’ve stayed at. No newspapers were provided although they told us they would. Saw a toe nail in the room which was disgusting. I had informed the room service and they just came and remove it plus the front desk knew about it too but did nothing.

I do love this hotel because of good hardware, great service of SPA and swimming pool, fantastic breakfast, big and quiet room, comfortable bed and great location where you can easily find out restaurant and department store nearby this hotel. I would recommend this great hotel to friends and tourists. 推推！

Awesome , good service. Love the decorations here. And the color combination. The room is confirmed. Beige and orange made you feel like welcome and comfortable. The ceiling is high. The room has good space. People are nice there. Worth stay.

Hotel shows a kind of pure beauty. 100% japan style, with no much feature in the room. It brings me comfort; oppositely, it seems not to deserve the price in common weekends.Staff generally are very polite to customers.

Very nice and comforatble hotel, well trained and friendly staffs make guests feel well served. Has good restaurant and cafe, however the price is a tinny little over the top for the food and beverage served. Overall a good place to stay if you have no trouble with the cost.

The rooms were large, clean and modern. My only issue was the lighting which was a nightmare to control given the many different switches. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good with virtually anything you can think of.

One of the best if not the best hotels around Taipei. Service is excellent, great restaurants in the hotel, impeccable room services.If I have to deduct points, itll have to be their less-than-average entertainment system on their TV. Splotchy implementation of the entertainment system left me with a movie that stutters every 3 secs - restarting the whole system basically means that I lost access to the movie that I just purchased.WiFi wasnt working perfectly as well during my visit - patchy connections, breaking every now and then had me calling the customer service to get them to bring me a spare modem.

Excellent service. Nicely decorated room makes you feel cozy and comfortable. Facilities inside the room are super. Location is convenient, located in the Zhong Shan shopping atea & near the subway station.

Okura Hotel is only one minute walking distance from my home. I enjoy the architecture design came and its graceful outlook. Several weeks ago I went to it restaurant with one of my students, and found out that the buffet is excellent!

Rooms are luxurious though a bit small. Service is great, food is also pleasant though nearby restaurants are still better. The facilities are good, however the pool is very small and as there are virtually no poolside benches relaxing by the pool is not something that is possible during the daytime. Night swimming is pleasant however, so still a good place overall.

The room is bit old but its still a 5star hotel. The atmosphere, foods, amenities,etc are all great. I could not use the swimming pool bcuz it was raining so hard but it looks atmospheric. And you must have a breakfast in Okura. Their foods are nice. Only one problem was smell of smokes in the room...Everything except the smell was excellent. Id like to stay again in Okura.

A true 5-star hotel to me save for the mattress, got back pain every morning I woke up. The entire hotel was like super clean, well maintained and got the right crew who provided excellent service. Location was superb. Metro stations were just minutes away on foot. Bus stops weren’t far away. Most of the time there were taxis available. Didn’t try their breakfast as I got bad experience staying in Okura in Bangkok. Besides, who wants to waste his quota eating in the hotel when Taipei feeds you that well. There is only so much one can eat. Equipped with a big gym that I didn’t use. I visited the sauna/spa every day even early in the morning. Never got tired of this stuff. Used the swimming pool only once, which was on the roof. Remembered to bring your own swimming cap or else have to pay for a very ugly one, at a reasonable price though. Got no view facing south. It was just the buildings across the street. It’s a hotel I have no hesitation recommending. Very likely to be staying here on my next visit to Taipei.

I only went to the bakery to get some nougats. There’s a lot of Japanese customers there. When I made my purchase, I felt the service given to the Japanese is way better than to me and my Sister. We are polite throughout yet we can’t understand the difference in standard. Nevertheless we just made the purchase and left immediately. Didn’t want to stay any longer.

It should be luxury yet failed to be so. I would never know its because of cost control or whatever other reasons. The shrimps came to the table as a part of menu were so small thats even cheaper than Costco sushi. Water temperature was not so consistent when shower in the morning. This place needs to push a bit to earn the fifth star.

We’ve stayed at Okura Taipei for a few times. We enjoy it. It’s conveniently located, with lots of shops and eateries nearby. We love their spacious room. Nicely decorated. Comfortable bed (you can choose the type of mattress and pillow in advance). Room amenities are sufficient. Big bathroom and separated toilet.

Just stayed for 8 nights and will definitely stay here again in the future. The service is excellent (among the best in Taipei), the food is great (tried all three restaurants), and the room is spacious and nice. I especially enjoy the gym and spa facility, which is free to use and comes with dry/steam sauna and jucuzzi. The location is a bit off compared to W hotel; however, it is close to a MRT station, a major department store, and 15 minutes taxi to most places.

The hotel is beautiful and well appointed. There are beautiful pieces of art looking the hallways. The rooms are also clean and immaculate. Sliding doors help to divide the bathroom, hall and bedroom or can be left open to give the room a more grander feel. It is in a good location with ximending and Taipei 101 close by.

A very good Japanese 5-star Hotel. The entire hotel is non-smoking. The morning breakfast is comparable to lunch buffet of other normal hotels. The beds are comfortable, and of course, the service is at Japanese high quality. Many Japanese visitors stay here. Although it is one of the most expansive hotels Taipei, you will like it after a stay.

Very decent hotel like staying in Japan. The room is big. Not fancy but simplicity with full of details. Bath room can be partitioned to be open and close depending on needs. Breakfast place is not big and not many choices but all food provided is of top quality. No need too many choices.

Everything is great about this hotel! They hardly say no to your requests. Room is well design and very clean, hardware well maintained. Bed is so comfortable. Theres a TV in the bathroom which makes taking a bath so much fun. Lights and curtain control at your bedside. High tech toilet. Location wise, its a 4 mins walk from Zhongshan station exit 3. As you walk to the hotel, you can shop at the same time. There are many good restaurants in the vicinity. The small streets behind the hotel are worth exploring as you will find salons, boutiques and restaurants.

Beautiful property throughout. The decent artworks in the public spaces are the owners own (and maybe the rooms too). Lobby and reception staff are an exceptional way to be introduced to the hotel, and when saying goodbye. F&B manager Claire and FO manager Frank are just wonderful friendly, helpful, professional representatives of the establishment. Had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and the hotel would be my first choice when next returning to Taipei.

This hotel has more Japanese tourists than other hotels, therefore their breakfast has more Japanese style dishes. I came here for their breakfast, not very big area but nicely displayed. I like it!

U get what u paid for. But Try not to get the room facing the Main Street, a tiny noisy for those extreme particular with sound!Great service.The spa, sauna great! The gym great for jogger, but for weight lifting they missing a few station.

Never, never, never ever come here for the food. They are a Japanese hotel. You would expect their Japanese food to be good. It is pedestrian at best. Service is also mediocre, not at all what you would expect from Japanese management. Overall the food is a farce and management is a confused mess (dealing with them from a reporters perspective). The last press conference I attended (deal to provide airline foodwas a farce. The food was so bad, the finger sandwiches were the best thing available.

I visited here for its buffet located at the second floor. The food was fresh and the quality was pretty good. They even had a Jap Chef taking care of slicing the roast beef for you. The atmosphere was pretty pleasant. The were also plenty selections of desserts. The price was, of course, not so friendly. But nothing to complain since it boasts high-end buffet!! Overall, I like it!!

Great warm interior of room. Very well equipped and prepared. Been looking at other upper class hotels in Taipei, like W. But those are "cool" and "hip" which is not my preference

The room is very spacious and very clean. I stayed on 14th floor had a good view, rooftop pool can see Taipei 101. Very quiet room although on the busy road. The Japanese style service is outstanding. It is safe to say Okura will be my only 5 star hotel choice in Taipei.

I think this is the best value 5 star hotel in Taipei. I like to stay here on business. The rooms are big. They have a Japanese style sauna/bath on the top floor which is nice. The neighborhood has lots of Japanese foods. Breakfast is good and there is also a bakery downstairs.

A really good experience at this Japonese hotel. Very traditional but top service and top amenities.The pool at the top of the building is very nice and relaxing, although you need to wear a cap because of hygiene.I would recommend it to anyone. The neighborhood is also very attractive and there is a lot of shops and restaurant around it !
