Lady Ln, Bingley BD16 4AW, Bingley
In an elegant, Gothic-style Victorian mansion, this chic hotel is 1 mile from Bingley train station and 7 miles from the Brontë Parsonage Museum (the Brontë sisters' family home). The frilly, country-style rooms provide free Wi-Fi and TVs. Some have period fireplaces and/or 4-poster beds. The hotel offers free breakfast and parking. There's also an upscale restaurant serving gourmet British cuisine. Other amenities include a patio, meeting and event spaces, and a bar/lounge with cosy sitting areas.
We stayed in a Superior Room, (11£120 in great need of updating. Unable to use the shower, Mattress was worn out, it was like sleeping on pebbles and could actually feel springs. Pillows hard and lumpy. Tatty pillowcases. The room felt damp, Stains on carpet. Overall it was very disappointing and would certainly not stay there again :-(Staff friendly and obliging. Downstair public areas/rooms very good. Felt overpriced for the quality of stay.
Attended a beautiful wedding recently & generally the place was very good, good surroundings, good food. Was left very disappointed by the poison dwarf bar tender who was repeatedly rude throughout the day. Hes the only bartender Ive met who doesnt like serving people drinks... Nice venue but some staff need to go for personality transplants.
Went for a family meal 40 altogether, my beef very dry and my wife lasagne omg i wouldnt feed it to my dog so i said something and all we got was ill knock it of the bill, very nice place but wont be going again..
Excellent quality food and service compliments to the chief. We enjoyed the quality of the food and we were made to feel welcome. Would recommend people to go if they enjoy good food and service. Elegant surroundings set in beautiful grounds.
Nice old hotel with country club atmosphere. Excellent food. Good at putting on receptions where you might pay your respects to a revered old friend.
Had the room up the stairs next to big landing so could here everybody coming up and to to landing floorboard very creak, guests arriving late 11 pm made it noisy ..staff friendly helpful and polite .breakfast great 👍 . Location lovely .
Step back into a time of history and sheer opulence. Such a grand impressive hall with original features throughout.
Stayed here for a couple of nights while attending music festival nearby. Good value. Rooms are a bit dated but extremely comfortable. Staff is very friendly. The night barman was entertaining. Dog friendly and a great park is nearby. Will return.
The owners called the police to remove mourners from a wake they contracted to hold
Beautiful gothic listed building, large bedroom and gorgeous food.
The staff are brilliant, the food is excellent and reasonably priced, great stay would have been five star if our room ( 10 had better beds.would definitely recommend and will be using this hotel again.Thank you to all the staff.xx Dennis.
Super nice staff, great building. Nice area
We had a great evening celebrating are friends wedding. Service at the bar was great enjoyed our time there. Great evening had by all cheers Alan Williams builder 👍
Nice basic clean rooms. Staff very helpful and friendly 😊. Beautiful building in a fab location. Its the staff that make it special.
Was at a 21st birthday party there so did not stay over. A nice atmosphere with friendly staff. Only little inconvenience was that theres a minimum spend of £5 at the bar if paying contactless.
Five stars! We arrived early on the Saturday for an event and nothing was too much trouble from parking, arranging a dressing room to change clothes, stash bags, and book a cab.A fantastic team with humour and warmth in abundance, a fantastic setting and service. Well be back!Rick and Karen.
lovely place. great staff. spotlessly clean.too. peaceful and quiet place.
Just popped in for a quick drink for old times sake.
Good looking gothic style building. Very friendly staff. Comfortable beds even the sofa bed. My room larger than expected. Reasonably priced. Shower less powerful than expected. Room warm. Food at dinner good.
A lovely 22 bed hotel tucked away in a tranquil area of Bingley. Lovely staff and large car park. Generous breakfast. A little old fashioned, but that is a positive.
Found online and called direct to book family room and then had to call back to change room as my mum cant manage stairs well and original room was top floor. When we arrived we were still allocated top floor room (which was massive, had four poster and was stunning!but staff were more than happy to prepare other room as luckily it wasnt booked out or occupied. Price I was expecting was increased as was told I hadnt mentioned the 2 year old and the dogs despite knowing I had done so. Agreed to only increase price by £10 rather than £20. I did not send or receive a booking confirmation which I should have and would request next time. New room was clean, beds were comfy and the breakfast (included in pricewas fantastic. Dogs not allowed in restaurant (obviouslyso they set us up for breakfast in the bar. The property and location are beautiful, the room was great and the staff were apologetic, professional and friendly which is why I have have still given 5 stars despite the booking issues. Would definitely stay here again!
It snowballs from the first step. The receptionist took care of what i needed and was more than helpful. Bathrooms need upgrades but other than that its gorgeous. Breakfast is also good. Nice and quiet too! Would definitely go back.
Beautiful hotel, very oldie worldy, lovely staff and would love to stop over for a couple of nights to take in the history of the place x
I went for a friends 60th. A beautiful building for sure but the food quality was extremely poor at best. Also drinks were enormously expensive ( £3.00 for a J20 and around £7 for a pint of tennants. All in all not the best catering experience but a pleasant location non the less.
Traditional hotel tucked away down a lane. Its convenient for getting to the Yorkshire Dales close by. Helpful and polite staff.
Rooms in great need of updating. Wallpaper lifting badly in shower area. Mattresses worn out. Could actually feel springs. Pillows hard and lumpy. Tatty pillowcases. Paint peeling on internal frames. Toilet seat quite precarious. Stain on carpet. Old tv bracket holes not filled. Staff friendly and obliging. Downstair public areas/rooms very good. Felt overpriced for the quality of stay. Generally disappointed.
Venue excellent, staff excellent. Food was okay, but at 13.00 a head it was very expensive for a buffet at your table for a few.sandwiches, quiche, sausage rolls and a.plate of desserts. Beautiful venue though.
Attended for business meeting. Staff were lovely, if a little hard to find initially. Managed to find me somewhere to sit to do some work before the meeting. Room was spacious and well suited for meeting. Building looks stunning inside and out.
Absolutely class , building beautiful inside decor fabulous bedroom beautiful very tastefully done and roomy. The guys and staff brilliant had a fantastic stay and the food excellent (am a very hard person to please but my experience here was excellent. Definitely be back soon. Xx
We have just returned from a two night stay at the Oakwood Hall Hotel, I must say we cannot fault anything about our stay, we think we have found a hidden gem to which we will surely return. The three members of staff who looked after us during our stay, I would say were hand picked for their position, they where professional, efficient, polite, friendly and accommodating in every way, thank you Angela, Mark and Rob for contributing to our very enjoyable two night stay.Regards Mr Mrs Wyatt.
Had a lovely stay here, welcoming and friendly staff. Very clean, felt very safe. Food was exceptional. Thank you
Great to have you back! Great meal last night. Great meal and excellent service and amazing value ! Highly recommended
Staff were amazing and very friendly, breakfast was perfectly cooked and the whole hotel was spotless. Highly recommend.
Very nice hotel. We turned up for a funeral lunch and bought drinks and later someone said all the drinks should have been free. The food was OK.
Nice enough hotel however the best parts were the friendly and attentive staff (couldn’t fault themand the quiet, leafy setting. Breakfast good also. Unfortunately the room I had was small and very tired/dated. There were two long hairs (not mine, I have short hairand a stain on the base sheet and the sheets didn’t smell fresh. Otherwise though a good stay and reasonably priced, just let down by the room.
Staff very helpful and friendly. Upgraded our room which was delightful. A good choice of hand pulled Yorkshire ales and a delicious breakfast. A lovely old building full of character. Highly reccomend Oakwood Hall Hotel.
My now wife and I had our wedding here yesterday after months of planning, its a beautiful venue and the weather gods were certainly in our favour as it was a gloriously sunny day.Marise at the hotel was really helpful and guided us through the whole planning process, going over every single detail, nothing was ever too much trouble, even when we had to make some last minute changes. The only downside to having such a sunny day is that the room we had the ceremony & meal in got a bit too warm and stuffy at times, this is where they would have benefitted from having some kind of air conditioning system, though I dont think its possible in a building like this. All our guests seemed to have a really good time, the staff there on the day were really helpful and again nothing was ever too much trouble. Its a pity that due to licensing restrictions you are not allowed outside with drinks after 8pm, being able to spend the evening outside in such nice weather would have made our day even more special.I would still highly recommend them as a wedding venue though!
Great Saturday evening meal, lovely staff. Comfortable bedroom, pleasant breakfast. Staff are very welcoming and helpful.
Beautiful from the outside but somewhat tired inside. We were in a very dark room and there was wallpaper coming off in places. Curtain linings torn. Staff were friendly but sparse. Food was pretty good but service not always great. Not what we were expecting!!
We had our wedding here on 2.3.2019,wife stopped night before staff could not be more helpful, staff on the day made the day special, could not fault anything, special thanks to marise for doing all the arragements would highly recommend oakwood Hall. Thanks everybody xxx
Outstanding venue for all occasions happy or sad. We have been to weddings and funerals there and its an excellent place. Staff helpful and friendly, very personal, and very tasteful and a traditional listed building.
I cannot praise the staff enough, amazingly helpful and friendly the hotel has lovely originally features rooms are comfy. Amazing service would highly recommend
We were there for a funeral so not the best of circumstances but the staff were lovely.Very friendly and helpful. Food was gorgeous. The place itself is beautiful and the surrounding gardens are immaculate.Clean toilets, smart staff, fabulous venue with lots of charm. Plenty of free parking.Highly recommended.
Had a great wedding anniversary dinner after getting married at the hall last year. As always service, atmosphere and food are great and worth recommending to anyone.
The signage definitely wants making more visible, especially on the little road you have to go down. We passed the entrance and ended up in a cul-de-sac. Only saw a tiny sign on our way back out. Lovely place though was there Friday 5th October 2018 for my sisters Golden Wedding. The food was lovely. I would recommend Oakwood Hall as a venue.
Parking is plenty. Cleanliness shines throughout and staff very helpfull. The food is nice and fresh the best scones ever .
Quaint old building, room was full of character. The room was large and comfortable. The location is very quiet and conducive for a good nights sleep. The breakfast was good and the waiter was pleasant.Enjoyed our stay and the staff are absolutely wonderful.
Very comfortable room, quiet even though there was a party on. Pleasant, friendly staff and very good service for both the evening meal and breakast. Attractive bar, lounge and dining room, and an enjoyable dinner. Although situated on the outskirts of Bingley, about one mile from the centre, it felt very secluded.
Pleasant stay. Friendly staff. Shame we couldnt have dinner on second night as there was a wedding. Meal on first night and breakfast lovely.
The Hotel has a very traditional feel about it, but hosted our small party of people very well. The gardens are georgeous and the staff are very friendly as good Yorkshire people are.
