The National Shrine of The Divine Mercy in Hancock

Everything was done to keep the Hugh crowd comfortable on Divine Mercy Sunday.

Amazing, peaceful and beautiful. Great place to go with the family.

This is a truly holy place. The architecture is amazing! The Marian Priests and Brothers are very caring to all pilgrims who go to visit. Do not miss this place and dont miss the book shop! Do not miss the Grotto which is very like the one in Lourdes, (it is a bit of a hike but totally worth it! Also, there are the life size stations of the cross, which should not be missed.The schedule is generally the same except for special days like Divine Mercy Sunday, Encuentro Latino, Polish Day, Philipino Day and Im sure some other days. Generally there is a 9 am and 2pm mass with confessions at 1pm and of course Adoration then after the afternoon Mass, the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy begins at 3pm.Just go spend a day you wont regret it and neither will your soul.Also, they have a very large parking lot with bathrooms. If you go to the indoor mass, the actual Mass is on the top floor. The bathrooms inside are on the very bottom floor. They even have some snack machines and a place to nosh on a lunch or snack downstairs if it is too hot or too cold or youd just rather be inside. If it is a Saturday, (check the schedule), he is often giving one of his "Explaining the Faith", talks, where he speaks about various aspects of the faith.The music here is brilliant, and Br. Ken often leads the music with his spectacular voice. And when you listen to the music, especially at the end, in the Church, turn around. You will see an amazing instrument and two large depictions of Mama Mary: Our Lady of Chęstahova and Our Lady Gate of the Dawn (i believe these are the correct names).Facing thr Alter, if you look to the left and right of the alter, you will find two other alter spaces as well as some relics.. to the right,, you can venerate St. Faustina as a relic of her is present, there. You can also see one if St. John Paul IIs Zucchetto. To the left of the alter, there are multiple relics and information about Blessed George and Blessed Anthony. As well as an area with a Statue of St. Stanislaus Papçinsky of Mary and Jesus. This is the Saint who founded the MICs (Marians of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. These are the Priests and Brothers who have been given the task - the honor of disseminating the Message of the Divine Mercy. It would be a challenge to find a more dedicated group of people outside the Marians.The administrative assistants are very kind and patient with everyone there. They will happily explain the route to various areas. Between 9am and 5 pm, they can help you get Holy Water or questions answered.

We went to the divine mercy about three weeks ago. It was very hot to be outdoor. But the experience was amazing we love the mass, Father chris and all did other priest we saw. Its is a place everybody should visit. Such a peaceful place, and beautiful grounds. Would definetely will go back again.

Visited on a Saturday. They have an extensive program on the weekends, just make sure to pack some to go snack (plenty of shaded table space for group meals.The Shrine itself is beautiful and the priests and staff are some of the kindest people youd meet. So if you are looking for a serene Catholic retreat day trip, this is a wonderful option.Make sure you read instructions on how to get there by car on their website (Google GPS would give incorrect directions if set directly to the parking lot.)There are restrooms at the parking lot and in the Shrine (church building.)The Saturday 2pm mass was outdoors (usually so in the summerand although there are some shaded seats, there were a bit more people participating, so the seats in the direct sunlight were also utilized - would be a great idea to bring an umbrella and/or a hat and sunscreen.

I am very grateful for Divine Mercys First Saturday live streams and the explaining the faith on Youtube are must watches.Spectacular church to see in reality, highly recommended. A wonderfully peaceful and very holy place.

Stockbridge, Massachusetts well-known Catholic house of worship on a large serene acreage, capacity 25-30 people pandemic guidelines, observed, souvenir shop, guest services, clean restrooms, generous parking lot, family oriented

This was a beautiful experience. Peaceful, quiet and beautiful church. Clean restrooms and the gift shop had lots to chose from.

Absolutely breathtaking is the only way to describe this place. From the scenic views to the impeccable sculptures, it checks every box. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. Must see!

Beautiful place, peaceful grounds. Walk the hillside for the large Stations of the Cross not to be missed.

I went on a weekday 9.10.21 to avoid any potential crowds and it was a great experience. While roaming around I met Brother Mark, also the organist for that days 9am mass. Only 15 people attended that morning which was great. The mass was beautiful and the inside of the Church is beautiful. I also explored the grounds and walked through the 14 life sized stations of the cross. A Beautiful reminder of our Dear Jesus and what he endured for us. It was a peaceful day to pray, meditate and reflect. God Bless.

The shrine was lovely, its very well maintained and there is a true feeling of peace and tranquility surrounding you here. My only problem is that I have a handicapped wife. There is NO access to the actual shire for someone with a walker or a wheelchair. Or if there is its definitely not visible or marked. Also no true accesss to the grotto other than a dirt gravel path that she couldnt use. Please consider at least providing access to the shrine. She had access to the candle area and also the infant shrine but I could tell she was disappointed at traveling from PA and not being able to see the two most important locations on site.

After making the trip from NY through tropical storm rains the celebration of Holy Mass (2pmwas anything but celebratory as father slowly droned on in monotone with few understandable words actually reaching the congregation. So disappointing. I had hoped this trip would be the first of many but this mass provided no incentive to return. It sadly was more an act of penance.As a person whose life involved public speaking, are not certain clergy coached or instructed in the techniques of motivational speaking?You don’t have to be Bishop Sheehan, but please Father, a little clarity, motivation and inspiration.

So peaceful here. Many people went to confession. Extra priest came to help with confession when so many people were still waiting in line. The mountain backdrop is beautiful beyond word. We had a great retreat.

When I went this Shrine, I felt the holiness and peacefulness. I was so happy I did not want to leave hy the end of the day. We were even bless to have a picture with Fr. Kaz, who was so gracious and kind. I am a Marian Helper, and I am proud to be a part of the Marian Family. I can’t wait to go back again. 🙏🕊❤️📿💐

We have been visiting the Shrine for decades. We are so blessed to have this oasis of peace right here in western new england. It is an internationally known center for spreading the Divine Mercy devotion and message. Highly recommend a visit!

Beautiful grounds. It was closed when we got there so couldn’t go in. Outside lawn with benches placed social-distantly should make it wonderful to attend a service during warm days.

I do my holy hour with devine mercy chaplet and the rosary as much as I can. I consider it my me time with the children online. It takes me out of the pandemic and puts me in a better place.

It has vast grounds which kids can walk. There is a nice hike down to the BEAUTIFUL Grotto of Lourdes. There is beautiful statue of John Paul II. The chapel is divine!!

Beautiful doesnt even begin to describe it. This place is an oasis of prayer dedicated to the Divine Mercy devotion. The chapel is a bit small and I wish there were other chapels on the property, but its definitely beautiful and faithful to the Churchs mission. Be sure to stop by the spot where they commemorate the souls of the unborn and other children who have passed away.

Beautiful place to visit and wander, whether you are Catholic or not. The grounds are very scenic, with mou tain views, gardens, quiet areas, and an elaborate Stations of the Cross. Attending an outdoor service when available is a great option as well. The main shrine was closed due to Covid restrictions, but we would love to return to see it some day.

Peaceful, lovely, a definite must for a family visit, or personal retreat. The Anniversary is extremely crowded, exciting, but if you dont like crowds this isnt the place for you. Love the grounds, the Gift shop is amazing, well stocked. Our family loves it here.

Lovely place and great time. Unfortunately, the shrine was not open. However, the outside mass was exceptional. Thank yiu to the priests and all the hard working volunteers and workers.

Since I am unable to attend mass because of the pandemic it is crucial for me to use my pad to find a good and beautiful ,meaningful mass. I have found it with all of the good priest and seminarians of MIC. Knowing God and his son is always with me is reinforced by the holy sacrament of the holy mass. My prayers are with all of you.

We got there early for Mass. The grounds are lovely. We got the tip to bring a chair and sit in the shade. The gift shop was a surprise: lots of delightful items. Thank you!

The first time I attended The shrine of Divine Mercy was back in October 2017. The reason why I chose to go there because I was getting tired of going to Salem Massachusetts and wanted to try something new. Plus theres another reason why I went. Because I did some things that I wasnt proud of. Such as provoking certain people at work and making certain employees at work feel bad. So I knew the trip was not only inspiring but helped me to forget my mistakes and forgiveness from God. And Stations of the cross was helpful too.

Have been to the Shrine twice. Live it there. Now with COVID19 I have been watching the Mass, Divine Mercy Chaplet and rosary on live stream. All absolutely beautiful. Thank you Father Chris for your inspirational homilies.

What an inspiring venue! We were able to participate in Mass and the chaplet. We walked the beautiful grounds, lived the stations and shopped in the most fantastic gift shop I have ever been in! I hope to go back very soon!!

This is such a great getaway to a such a holy place. not too far from Boston... if you call ahead you might get much more economical lodgings at the Shrine itself - they have limited rooms available for pilgrims on a pilgrimage... note, you can buy food at the local grocery and cook them at your lodging to save even more money. Beautiful gardens, mass, blessed sacrament adoration and a great way to detach and be with our Lord.

Beautiful life-size outdoor stations, ample reconciliation hours, Adoration, and Masses. Peaceful place.
