Pub with canal views, serving craft beers, cask ales and rustic food, including Sunday lunch.
Great staff, amazing service, good food, the burger was delicious. Our server Sofia has delivered the best customer service. We will back again and again. Thanks
Decent food (does the job but nothing to write home about though the fish and chips was solidat a cute venue overlooking the canal - would’ve given 3.5 if Google Maps allowed it
Nice ambience. Quite good Sunday roast with chicken, pork, beef and veg Atari an options. Overlooks the canal. My parents loved it
Great vibes and selection of drinks. Im afraid the food can be hit and miss.Perhaps, avoid Monday nights - the only time we had disappointing food.
My local pub . Friendly staff who go over and above to make a visit worthwhile and enjoyable and it’s dog friendly which is perfect . Food here is excellent and the Sunday roasts are always good .
Cosy venue with lovely views. It was perfect for our after-work event. Staff are amazing
Loved the view and ambiance… The food was perfect; the blood orange cider was brilliant. My son took me here for my last night in London and I will definitely return. In terms of service, there was a large party downstairs and everyone was very up front about the fact that we’d order at the bar. The food was brought to the table as promised. Highly recommended!
The food was fine but nothing special. Fish was oily and dry. Chips were mixed, some good, some overcooked. The mashed peas where surprisingly dry too.
Came for a Sunday roast and was quite disappointed. It was pretty bland and low standard, not worth nearly £20. Seems like there was some miscommunication with the staff as we had 3 different waiters. Ordered drinks through their online table order system which didn’t come through on their tills. It’s a nice setting on the canal, and that’s a plus
We are living in a wide beam boat, Tayrona. And we love to be by Narrowboat, this place with canal views is magic. We love to go and have a lovely, nice and warm evening drinking some beer with nice food. Super recommended!
Food always seems to be pretty good here! The chicken escalop was beautifully moist and fries and salad were delicious!! Weve previously had incredible lamb burgers here too. Only downside was the puddings were a let down
Great views and beer, but my Fish and Chips was awful. The batter was super thick and tasted like it had been fried once, chilled or frozen and then fried again when I ordered.
Really nice place and great location. Food was delicious. Staff were a tad too busy and we kept getting missed drink orders. But worth a try
The place is beautiful and peace,The food was good as well.
Sitting on the terrace overlooking the canal is very nice, the food is good but not great for quality/price ratio. Lowering a bit the price or increasing the portions could be a perfect deal
Located at the area called “the little Venice” of London, it offers quality services, at affordable price, compare to the generally expensive London. Photo of the canal, which someone can skip visiting, if time is insufficient.
As the name suggests! Very narrow. Great food and good selection of beers and non alcoholic beverages. Front of house were exemplary and made us feel very much at home. Lovely outdoor seating for those terrifically hot summer days and cosy couches for when it cools down.
While the food was fine, the service was terrible. It took almost an hour for the food to come out, even though we were the first people in for lunch, and it seemed that about a third of the menu was out of stock. To make matters worse, the waitress genuinely didnt seem to care, offering no apology for either the missing items or the food that had to be chased several times.
What a great bar on the canal. Marius the manager was great as he took my order he did a couple great magic tricks -- we had time 😂. The place had great energy and great balcony seating over the canal. Id highly recommend visiting this place after work or whenever you just want a quiet place to drop by for a drink.
We had dinner for the first time since we were looking for a nice dog-friendly restaurant in the area. The experience went above all expectations. A very friendly team, super welcoming, they gave nice little treats to my dog, and it was just very enjoyable to be there. Food was good too! Marius, the manager was incredible and did some amazing magic tricks at the table for us! We’ll definitely come back and recommend it to everyone!
Beautiful location. Wonderful staff. Very child friendly as well. My kid was mesmerised by the magic tricks our super waiter, Marius, was showing us. A very pleasant experience. Food as well very nice. Highly recommend.
Service was quick, not like it said in the reviews so that was positive! Great waitress. It said online that quiz started 8pm and I had to book table for 7.45 to be on time but when we came it had already started which was a disappointment. Hence the 4 instead of 5 stars.
Wonderful location of the pub, great vibe, especially if you sit outside overlooking the canal. For food I would recommend fish & chips as they are really good, the rest of mains on the menu is pub level (at least with my experiencebut still good. Service is friendly and you feel welcome.
We booked this place for fathers Day. Tried calling all morning to add another person onto the booking but no one answered the phones. When we arrived we walked up to a staff member who said he couldnt help us. We then found the manager who didnt even look up from her laptop, said it was impossible to add someone onto the booking. Didnt even apologize, even when we explained wed tried to call. We left. She then came out and said they had a cancellation. After that the service and food was good, but didnt really make up for the bad start.
Great bar alongside the canal with good beer and good food. Has balcones to eat outside sn this was fabulous. A youngs place with order to table tooGood for Sunday roast
Pretty, happy, satisfied. First time at this great looking and well-run pub on a beautiful canal. Came here for dinner with a large group of family visiting from abroad. We pre-ordered most of the food but considering the size of our crowd (18), no food order was wrong, staff were very attentive in taking plates and glasses, bringing extra plates and more wine. All with a smile. Food was very tasty especially the Mac and cheese. Would definitely return again.
Second time visiting, and the service continued to disappoint. The upstairs was full, but the entire downstairs area was completely empty. When we migrated downstairs we were told it was closed, but when we asked why, nobody had an answer. As others have commented previously, the staff were pretty curt and abrasive about it. Good job theres several decent pubs nearby - where we quickly found a table!
Great food, nice location, friendly staff. Burger was a little bit on the small side, but tasted great.
Great pub in an excellent location! Me and my family had a very tasty sunday roast on the terrace outside overlooking the Regents canal and we couldnt be more happy about the day. Great service and beer selection too. We will surely come back!
Disappointing experience. The food was pretty good and location is great. But when we arrived they seemed completely disorganised about our booking. There was no soap in the mens bathroom, no toilet roll in the womens bathroom, and the hallway smelled like urine...disgusting. It was so loud you could barely hear the person in front of you, and because of that they got my order completely wrong. Plus so much cigarette smoke was blowing in from the balcony. Poor experience overall given the high price.
My favourite pub/cafe in London. It’s cozy and the location is wonderful. The drinks and food are also inexpensive. They have a selection of board games to enjoy with friends. The music is very ambient and not too loud so it’s a good place to talk or do some reading or work. In the summer, it’s nice to sit out on the balcony. The interior is tasteful and warm. The toilets are clean and the staff is very nice and helpful. I come here often every chance I have when back in London. After the pint or coffee m, enjoy the rest of the walk by the canal.
The location is absolutely amazing especially on a sunny day! One of the very few places that’s actually on the canal. The service was a little slow with giving us our table and after we ordered drinks they didn’t come for another hour to order food, but staff was nice and friendly. The food was very good, the gnocchi with duck was different hadn’t had anything similar and was very pleasantly surprised especially by the quality of the meat!
Wonderful location, specially on a sunny day when you can sit outside. Drinks good, hamburger nice, sausages were too hard
We were looking for somewhere for lunch and had seen favourable reviews of this place. After a long wait the staff suggested three alternative ways to order. Using the app which in theory gave us a 10% discount, at the bar and to the occasionally seen staff. We chose to order drinks using the app but the system did not work. After a very long wait we ordered our food with a waiter who appeared to be the only one working in the place. He collected our long awaited drinks. The menu was very limited and apparently only mushy peas are available. Garden peas have not yet arrived at this establishment. My cod in beer batter was 60% batter and 40% cod although the chips were excellent. The turkey, leek and ham pie was also a disappointment. The pastry was very thin and the filling was dry without any proper sauce just a weak gravy. The mash was OK. Considering the price tag on each meal the portions were meagre. All this with a 12% service charge only added insult to injury. The view was nice but the is the only good thing about the place. Poor food, expensive and poor service. We will not be going there again.
Ox cheek croquettes for starters and smoked duck breast with gnocchi were both pretty good. The service was friendly but they seemed a bit swept of their feet. Would also recommend avoiding sitting right at the back since you’ll get a cold breeze anytime someone goes onto the balcony!
You have to visit for a Sunday roast, or for one of the many other great food options from the menu. Go for a catch-up with friends, with a glass or 2. Amazing staff, great food, superb location. We cant wait to visit again soon.
Disappointed in our experience even with all the great reviews. Service really tested our patience. We did not even get water until 30 minutes after we were seated. Our server seemed clueless. She forgot our drinks and had to ask again what we ordered even though they use a tablet. The food was mediocre and we were overcharged £68 on our bill. Also the menu on Google is different and the menu there was sold out of many items. Cant recommend this place sadly.
Great spot, a small but tasty menu! I would have given it a five but I did find we had to keep flagging the staff for attention. Not that it took much and can be a struggle to find that balance. That said I would def go back and would recommend it.
Absolutely loved this place, as did my daughter on a beautifully sunny summers day.It was very busy however the customer service was excellent given the circumstances, and one of the waitresses made the my daughter very happy with their little convo 😊The icecream/juice we ordered made our day, and with very reasonable prices given the location and venue was a good vibe.5* Would recommend 👍🏼
Amazing gin cocktails. Amazing location. Reduced one star for the food which was good but not great. But a definite visit. Amazing blues music playing.
Lovely pub next to Regents canal. Small out door terrace. Great beer selection and lunch menu looked interesting, I had the Steak.Service was amazing and the Canadian Geese provided entertainment as the dived for their lunch under the canal.
Great little pub overlooking a canal and boats so the views are fantastic the food is typical pub food pretty good and the service was excellent
Amazing place, except maybe for vegans & GF people - they have items on the menu for us that look amazing but even when you order it you have to have the waiter check that the kitchen understands you do want it vegan (we had to send the crumble back because the custard wasnt veganand Im not sure everything really was Gluten Free because my friend had a the typical bad stomach ache later on (he is thankfully intolerant and not coeliac, otherwise he might have ended up in the A&E).It did taste really good though, but the experience we had imo wasnt worth more than two stars, although the staff was super nice, I just think allergies are serious, as are diet restrictions.
I asked for a burger that was weird tasting and massively overcooked. I asked for it to be done again as it was tasting like rubber. The team was very kind hence the 2 stars, they informed me that the beef was cooked as per the law (highly doubt a defrosted rubber patty was to be considered beef). I then asked to change my dish completely (they were happy to help me outand I got the Pearl barley risotto (picturewhich was clearly pre boiled veggies and was still floating in a huge amount of water. All in all the food was very disappointing but the staff was lovely, and the location is nice.I won’t be going there for food again but definitely for a pint by the canal.
Delicious food, big portions and friendly staff. Interesting choice of beers and cocktails. Very nice balconies to sit in and have a drink overlooking the canal on the 1st floor. Will definitely come back.
Big portion of really delicios Sunday Roast beef or chicken options. Maybe some extra gravy would have good to have but I think you could have ordered extra if you want too. They have an open balcony outside in 2 sections which is offers a very nice view to the canal.
One of my favourite comfort pubs in London. Super relaxed vibe, good quality food and beautiful canal views. Fast, kind, efficient and helpful service. New brunch menu on Saturdays is a welcome addition. Tried the hummus and avocado crudite with fries and definitely recommend as a vegan yet super tasty choice.
Our first visit here and we can highly recommend It. Friendly staff, fab food and looks out over the river. Hubby had Steak and Oyster Pie with horseradish mash and vegetables, followed by Sticky Toffee Pudding and Ice cream. (Pie was amazingI had rib eye steak, rocket with cherry tomatoes and triple cooked chips followed by Apple and BlackBerry crumble and cardamom custard. Best rib eye Ive had for ages. All very delicious. Will definitely return.
Great pub with a great menu for vegetarians and vegans! Tried the vegan fish and chips... Good effort to replicate the fish but taste was not quite there. Will be back again for sure though for the lovely atmosphere and triple cooked chips!
Lovely pub next to the canalInterior is pretty. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Location is great. After meal having a walk is the best.Definitely will come back with friends again
