Neighborhood spot for drinks & pub grub, plus TVs for watching soccer & weekly trivia nights.
I like their lunch specials! Fish & chips, tuna sandwich. Drinks: Jameson and Space dust.
Stumbled upon this place by complete accident and now I cant wait to come back with more friends!
Great place to watch a game. Friendly and attentive staff. Really good food. Fast service. What more can you ask for?
The food and drinks were great. Amazing service. A neighborhood gem.
Great for UFC, pub quiz or food and drinks. Great shepherds pie 🥧
First time here great food and drinks. Friendly service and very attentive to us.
Great food! Horrible staff
Thank you for being so welcoming to J1s. I’ve been a J1 and when you get here and know no one or nothing yet, small gestures like these make a difference.
Always nice atention, good food and drinks, and price.
the napper tandy feels like a story where a group of superheroines needed a cover story, and they bought this place. now, they save the world by night, by day they run the best pub in san francisco
Had some great drinks outside in a wonderfully unique neighborhood environment.
Great beer selection! Their corned beef and cabbage plate was very delicious but way too small for the price we paid. We also had to wait almost 2 hours before being served our food. Other than that, it was a great visit!
In the middle of the Latino Cultural District on 24th, between Mission and Van Ness, there is this Irish pub with pleasant staff and food to die for. The Guinness was so good, just like they serve in Ireland. The server had amazing muscular guns, omg. The bus girl was very nice and her accent was Irish for sure!
OMG they have real bacon. Ive been looking for that for so long. Outside seating is really nice too and on the south side so its warm. Staff are really kind as well.
Stopped here on a Thursday night and Saoirse is so nice. The wings were delicious
Fast service nice people funny bartenders and the best wings in SF !!
Lively bar with great service & great food. Thanks for turning on the Tottenham match for us, the deep pours of Jameson & the cloverleafs on the tops of our Guinness! The Irish Benedict was tasty with crispy rashers and the potatoes were perfectly seasoned & crisp. Irish breakfast is huge and was also very good. We will be back 👏🏻
An excellent, diverse menu full of comfort food and plenty of beers on draft. An eclectic crowd of regulars and wanderers of whom the great staff waited on. We’ll be back!
Awesome! We sat outside, heat lamps🔥. GREAT service, Michael? From County Tyrone!! Delicious snake bites. Such a good time. Thanks
First service was amazing from the bartender to the servers. Fish tacos where real good. Really cool neighborhood bar and grill style place.
I have to say this place is great. Their staff are on point and theyre always busy but still get your food to you hot and in great time. I sometimes go here for lunch as i work close by and Im always greeted with a menu and a friendly smile. Ive also been for UFC fights and still get treated with utmost professionalism even though its pretty packed they still remember my face!! I always come back because of the food and the service. Good staff that treat you right means a lot. If you go you have to try the Bangers and mash! Although everything on their menu is top notch this is one that i suggest you try!! Its to die for. Their parklets are pretty cozy and they even put out heat lamps on these sometimes chilly SF evenings.
The fish and chips were delicious. Huge portions so come hungry. Very cool spot with friendly people and staff.
Excellent spot to watch football. Friends and I wanted to watch two separate games and they set us up in a great spot. And the Eagles even won, so pretty perfect morning.
I used to live in Chicago where there was a bar like this on every corner. Unpretentious, full of interesting characters, great beer list, friendly staff, decent pub food. Nothing to write home about except that this is a rare find in SF.
Tasty food, great service, cozy environment.
Simply put: I’m an Oakland native and resident. I LOVE this bar!! My husband lived in SF for years and tookme to The Napper Tandy: drinks, FOOD (hella good, honestly), Irish waiters and SF locals. I love it, I love it!!!
One of the dirtiest bars Ive been to. Smelled like old mayonnaise nd egg. Looked like nobody cleans or washes dishes there EVER. Bartender/waitress were ok tho.
The corn beef hash quesadillas are FIRE, the drinks are tasty & strong & the service great. I come here everytime Im in the Mission & so should you!
My neighborhood Irish bar. I lover Irish accents and the servers are all Irish so there’s that :TNT is not at all pretentious, super casual, and it way better than your impression of bar food. I love the soda bread, and the southwest chicken salad was amazing (bring it back please). They have a fair bit of outdoor seating and have tv’s outside so if sports is your thing, TNT is a once stop shop :)
This is my new go to place. The service is incredible as the drinks and food. Its refreshing having something other than chinese and pizza and mexican. I love the pot roast and the corned beef. The fish a.nd chips are what everyone I know gets. They are crispy and excellent. Oh their appetizers are to die for I like them all!! Especially wings onion rings and potato skins. People are friendly just an all around great place to sit outside with friends and enjoy the day. Thanks for letting me have my bday there had a blast!!!!! You rock Nickola!!!!!
Outdoor dining 3/21/2021. Both indoor and outdoor dining were available. All the tables were taken at 1pm and I had to sit at a single stall with a shelf of plywood used as a table. That part of 24th street is loud with a lot of traffic. There are trees next to the parklet so expect dogs to be peeing near you while you are dining. I had the Irish breakfast $19 and a pint of Guinness $8. It was two eggs over easy, Irish sausages, Irish bacon, black and white pudding, baked beans, a grilled tomato slice and soda bread. Everything was perfectly cooked. Eggs were runny. Irish sausages had good texture. Irish bacon crispy, but not too crispy. Chips were kind of peculiar for an Irish breakfast. The chef should have used either mushrooms or potato farls. Other than that, my meal was fine. It is nice they had my favorite HP sauce here. Service was excellent. My bill today was $33 with tax and tip. Good job everyone at the Napper Tandy!
Great green beer and drinks for st pattys day. The reason it isn’t 5 stars is because I ordered corned beef and cabbage and paid 22$ for it and they gave me ham. Literally two small ham slices. What a lie!!! Ended up paying for that but also ordering another meal cause I was still hungry and disappointed.
If you like a nice outdoor dinning this is the place Food ,Drinks And the Ladies that serve you are so nice.. You gotta stop bye for brunch, or Dinner or just a simple drink and appetizers.. ohh the chicken wings are to die for..💯You will wanna bring your friends or a hot date next time its so well worth it close bye in the mission ...
I was so disappointed with this meal. The food wasnt too terrible, but it was insanely overpriced and the menu descriptions are not accurate. For 20$ you only get four pieces of fish and a side of fries for the fish and chips. The Cobb salad I ordered was delivered warm and wilted. The Reuben my fiance ordered was the best, but still not exceptional. the fried mushrooms were okay. The bread pudding was the worst. It was so dry I couldnt even swallow it. I didnt taste the toffee sauce and it was virtually inedible and Im not terribly picky so it has to be really bad for me to not even eat it. The cost of the meal plus delivery charge was 120$!!!! I could have gotten gourmet cuisine for that price. All and all, the food was just grossly overpriced for what it was. Im so disappointed! Maybe the experience would have been better had we ordered in person with some beers. Im not sure. And the food was here within 20 minutes of ordering it on door dash which makes me think it was pre prepared earlier in the day and reheated since it was a fairly large order. I definitely wont be wasting my money here again.
Best covid bar in SF. Period. Also tasty burgers! Best hangover breakfast ever. Location is beautiful. Yeah this place rocks right now. Oh and 6 dollar margaritas all day, why arent you here right now.
I love this bar! Lisa is the best bartender and server in the world! The food is outstanding and the drinks are stiff like they should be at a real authentic Irish pub. Smiles and good times is what you will experience every time you visit. If heaven is half as cool as the Napper, Im good to go at any minute. Lisa, you rock baby!
Love this place. For this SF native, it reminds of an old classic sf haunt by way of being an unpretentious dive bar with great bar food.Wings, tacos, onion rings, burgers- they have all the hits.
Its a pub not unlike many other pubs. Beer is fresh and prices like other pubs. Staff is friendly and professional. Cover charge for UfC fights has steadily increased to the point where i can no longer justify paying it
Come here often for happy hour. Food is great! I highly recommend the shroom burger and the tater tot nachos. Very good food for a bar. Service is good too. My only complaint is that it often gets busy and there arent enough servers when that happens.
Good bar food and you can watch EPL and other sports. They have a huge selection of TVs for sporting events and a spacious back area with a projector screen. Watched a UCL final a few years back here.
I came into The Napper Tandy on a Saturday morning in search of the "hair of the dog." It was quiet and peaceful, and there were plenty of comfy seats available. Our waitress was very patient with us while we deliberated over what to have, and kind enough to leave us alone once it had come to the table. I really enjoyed my time here, and would come back again. My only suggestion for improvement would be to deal with the fruit fly issue - there were a lot of them in our area and it was disruptive to our time here.
A good neighborhood Irish dive bar with decent pub food and a nice selection of beers. Plenty of screens to watch the game or fights while enjoying a nice cold pint. Servers were nice and attentive. Overall everything you could want in a low key neighborhood joint.
Good beer, good wings, awesome atmosphere. Good place to watch a UFC fight.
A drunken Santa bearish gay man sat at my table during UFC 231 and engaged in unwanted conversation. Waitress shuffled him toward the front where he yelled at her, out of sight from us.Food was pretty good. Better than the Buffalo wild wings we dread to attend while UFC is on.$10 cover charge.First come first serve on event nights. Called beforehand and they helpfully suggested I come between 530 and 600. Spot on advice. They all have Irish accents. Wife asked me if these are real. Informed her that I would have no way of knowing.Nice place, lots of character, definitely a good time for a raucous night of fights.Lots of Mexicans in the mission who were disappointed by the drubbing Brian Ortega got though. Better luck next time.
What a great place. That afternoon with 7 margaritas, wings, chips & rancho dressing stay in my memory forever. love the vibe! Bless the Irish House. Quesadilla the other day was also nice!
Ignored for the first 30 minutes. Only one bartender and like 30 customers. Food took 20+ minutes to come. Burger was greasy. The place overall needs to be more clean. Maybe it was just a bad day to visit, but they could improve.
Worst experience ever, their potato skins are really brutal, the steak and cheese egg rolls are grease boats and the pulled pork fried onion ring pizza tastes like they dumped the grease trap on top of it. And the bartender couldnt even make a decent old fashioned. Ruined my night couldnt even go out afterwards.
Great food, great vibe, great sports bar! Carla is incredibly fun and friendly and totally makes this authentic Irish pub a place youll never want to leave. Always fun music playing, good pool table, large projection screen TV for big games. Super fun trivia night on Wednesdays, all you can eat fresh fish and chips on Monday. Theres so much to Love here, especially when Carla is working 😍
Love this bar. I go there for decent food and the UFC events. No matter what I get, I usually have fries. I like their shepherds pie, corned beef and cabbage, bangers and mash, and burgers. I havent had anything bad here.
Love my neighborhood bar. Ive been going here for years. Their food is much better than your typical "bar food", they are kid-friendly, all the bartenders provide excellent service and they always have new events planned year-round.Highly recommended!!!
