Moscow, Russia, 103073, Zaraysk
Immense, fortified compound of churches & palaces, with museums of Russian state regalia & art.
Beautiful place, rich in history and stunning buildings.
While you take a stroll here you see the spectacular walls and buildings of the Kremlin. It is an empowering feeling while you are here. This place is full of history dating back many decades. The square is full of people walking & clicking pictures. Along the side you will find many cafes to sit and enjoy a meal or simply a cup of coffee!
Don’t miss this tour even if you are not a fan of museums .. believe me it worth it , don’t forget your ID to inter . I think it’s one of the best things you can do it in Moscow
Must visit. 3 things to see- the bridge while entering the Kremlin, cathedral square, go up the tower, and armoury. If short on money skip the armoury. Washroom is free inside. Small snacks available. They are strict about closing times.
Absolutely beautiful, especially for someone like myself who was originally born in Moscow. It was raining but that let me take beautiful people-less shots!Highly recommend buying the full access pass, but only if you like Russian history. The cathedrals are beautiful.
What a lovely and beautiful place. Full of historic churches, heritage, and nice landscapes. A must visit destination along with Red Square
The second place you must visit after the Red Square!!! Historic buildings and structures that you will remember for ever in your life!

I guess visiting Moscow without visiting the Kremlin makes no sense. A must see! The churches in the Cathedral Square are unique monuments. Dont forget to see the Tsars Canon and the Bell! Get your camera ready for LOTS of photos. The ticket is 700 rubles.
Although still used for coronation ceremonies, the Kremlin was abandoned and neglected until 1773, when Catherine the Great engaged Vasili Bazhenov to build her new residence there. Bazhenov produced a bombastic Neoclassical design on a heroic scale, which involved the demolition of several churches and palaces, as well as a portion of the Kremlin wall. After the preparations were over, construction was delayed due to lack of funds. Several years later the architect Matvey Kazakov supervised the reconstruction of the dismantled sections of the wall and of some structures of the Chudov Monastery, and built the spacious and luxurious Offices of the Senate, since adapted for use as the principal workplace of the President of Russia.During the Imperial period, from the early 18th and until the late 19th century, the Kremlin walls were traditionally painted white, in accordance with fashion.French forces occupied the Kremlin from 2 September to 11 October 1812, following the French invasion of Russia. When Napoleon retreated from Moscow, he ordered the whole Kremlin to be blown up. The Kremlin Arsenal, several portions of the Kremlin Wall and several wall towers were destroyed by explosions and the Faceted Chamber and other churches were damaged by fire. Explosions continued for three days, from 21 to 23 October 1812. However, rain damaged the fuses, and the damage was less severe than intended. Restoration works were undertaken in 1816–1819, supervised by Osip Bove. During the remainder of the reign of Alexander I, several ancient structures were renovated in a fanciful neo-Gothic style, but many others, including all the buildings of the Trinity metochion, were condemned as "disused" or "dilapidated" and were torn down.
One of the must sees of Moscow - lots of history and good views of the city. Good museums contained within too, worth paying for all.

It is one most important place to be if you are in Moscow. The most important. History, and future, all stand here guarding the museums of USSR and present day Russia. Every stone used as pavement blocks has been a vitness to history. Every building here is as beautiful as a manmade construction can be. Lenins mausoleum, Stalins grave all are here. Several museums. A beautiful walk. Clean. The right place to feels the power of present day Russia and former USSR. One of the most important places in the world. Wow is the only word that comes to mind.
One of the most famous structures in the world, you can enjoy the shopping there and take a rest in one of the coffees and taste the russian dessert.
The Moscow Kremlin (Russian: Моско́вский Кремль, tr. Moskovskiy Kreml, IPA: [mɐˈskofskʲɪj krʲemlʲ]), or simply the Kremlin, is a fortified complex in the center of Moscow, overlooking the Moskva River to the south, Saint Basils Cathedral and Red Square to the east, and the Alexander Garden to the west. It is the best known of the kremlins (Russian citadelsand includes five palaces, four cathedrals, and the enclosing Kremlin Wall with Kremlin towers. In addition, within this complex is the Grand Kremlin Palace that was formerly the Tsars Moscow residence. The complex now serves as the official residence of the President of the Russian Federation and as a museum with 2,746,405 visitors in 2017.
The line is too long. Really long. We went early around 9 oclock Monday morning, but there were so many tourists. Where you wait long in line at the box office will probably decrease waiting for the arsenal. If you are not going to see this, I highly recommend using an automatic ticket office. There are no people here, so you can buy tickets and go right in. We didnt have time to see the arsenal, but I heard that the diamond room in the arsenal pays extra more and worths it. Its a bit unfortunate not to see. But dont worry, many other buildings welcome you. If you have enough time, use the audio guide or route to see the map in numerical order. But if you dont have time, it’s okay to look at the most famous buildings only. I do not regret this choice. The Kremlin is a must see if you are in Moscow.
Hi if you are thinking of going to Russia Moscow just do it the Christmas lights are great and the people are lovely dont worry about not speaking Russia some one will help I am in my 60 loved the people and Moscow
We visited on a December weekday with no wait-line, and spent about 1-2 hours walking around Putin’s workplace. Very interesting place, was invaded, burnt down and rebuilt several times.
First impression, its very huge! I think you could see from many source and pictures. The location is very accessible as its integrated with Moscows subway : Metro. You could get enough one day to explore this integrated tourism spot. Church, restaurants, shopping malls, museum, and souvenir shops are available. Will definitely go there again someday
Its a big que to get ticket and entrance. They check everyoe like entrance to airport.Inside is marvelous. There are nice churchs inside. The biggest bell got my eyes towards it as i never thought to see it untill i go there. You must go inside the churches.
I have never ever experience such an amazing place till now my whole life you have to visit the Kremlin Square if possible once in your lifetime it should & must be a part of your bucket list. It is so peaceful once you have seen & felt this amazing place you will never want to go back but as all good things should never been let apart. The most brilliant thing is the carnival which is held outside of the fort is truly breathtaking no words can define this place I wish I could write more about it this is the real experience which is a must....
Beautiful historical place. You have to walk a lot, but only a limited area within the Kremlin is allowed to visit by tourists. Toilets are also available for tourists.Churches are beautiful too.
Moscow Kremlin is huge. I got to explore the more of its touristy side-Kremlin museums. The ticketprice is 700 rubles approx, giving you entry to some of the most beautiful and magnificent cathedrals turned museums. You can easily access museums, however, you will encounter large queues of tourists.More things to see- For instance, State Kremlin palace, Czar bell, Dimond-fund armory, and beautiful views of the Moskva River. The place is highly recommended to visit. For buying tickets to Kremlin museums. There are kiosk machines and ticket counters. You can use both English/Russian languages to operate the kiosks, however, there is no one to monitor the queues of people waiting to procure tickets to Kremlin museums. It is advised that you arrive early to experience the best of diamond fund armory and the Kremlin museums. You can also visit its souvenir shop.
Very beautiful area to walk on a nice day. I enjoyed it a lot. A lot of history .. I wish I could get like a yealry pass, so I can come there whenever I want, to walk or read a book in one of the gardens. Ill come back again and again.
Buy your tickets online, the queues are massive. with this you can at least skip the ticket queue which is not yet the actual entrance queue. Apart from that I found the place little overrated. Has some pretty churches, yes, but I doubt you will see it as nice and empty as we did. We were lucky that we visited the place on a holy day... in the morning only people with pre-ordered online tickets could enter. With us were maybe 20 more people in there and we had the chance to witness special processions. Once the "VIP" time was over, loads of big guided tourist tours came in and the enjoyable time was over immediately.
The powerhouse of the former USSR. Its awesome that the place has been opened upto the general public but be warned its closed on Thursdays however the cathedral is still accessible.Within the red walls contains the main buildings to visit however, since we were there on a Thursday we couldnt get in as president Putin was there conducting official business.
There is Audio guide for Kremlin, instead of expensive tour guides! You need to pay at the ticket shop Museum office or online, and pick it up from the tour info next door (a bit confusing system). There are also apps which provide good info.If you buy tickets online, you still need to show up at ticket office, queue, and pick them up (waste of time). If you dont buy them online, you need to come to ticket office (my suggestion is earlier than 8:30to queue . Warning: there are different queue lines for each exhibition, be careful you are not wasting your time, and have multiple people queue in different lines if you are planning to see more than one exhibitions.I really enjoyed the armoury chamber, then guardians of times exhibitions, and last Diamond fund (in that order).
This place is always filled with peoplePerfect touristic place. It has its beauty in winter its breath takingIn summers its so much beautifulIn evenings dark blue sky and red walls aroundBlack grey road.Makes it the most beautiful location for pictures.A lot goes on here.Dont b lostPolice is very friendly and knows English.Dont worry.Enjoy
Amazing, a must see place. Have a tour that takes in the Cathedrals and the Treasury museum, spectacular. Finish it off by visiting Red Square in the evening, with everything lit up.
Its a great experience for me to have a great tour at Kremlin and the Red square...from my boyhood and actually at the time when I joined college I used to read many different types of books about Russia and especially the Kremlin ...the seat and the citadel of power in the Soviet era...while visiting the Kremlin I really had my goosebumps....in my early young hood I used to read about the Soviet leaders....and now I am at this very place....I became so overwhelmed and emotional to visit the Kremlin...
One of the most interesting buildings in the centre of Moscow. You can clearly the history passing over it, from the tsars till modern history. The architecture is unbelievable and the art in it is even more impressive. The tickets prices are cheap compared to what you get to see
A very historical place, like one of the coolest to go. Has a great museum to go and see a great collection of history and the monarchy of Russia
Red Square is the largest and most famous square in Russia. It has a magnetic pull for all visitors to Moscow. Standing in Red Square, you can see the most significant buildings in the capital: the Kremlin, GUM department store, the State History Museum, Lenins Mausoleum and of course, St Basil’s Cathedral. The bright domes bloom like an elaborate stone flower planted by the architects of the 16th century. All the major streets of Moscow radiate from here. Red Square is the central square of Moscow and the symbolic center of all Russia. ❤🇷🇺
Amazing place!!! Many churches to visit, the gardens are fantastic and the changing of the guards is awesome!!! Plan to spend there at least 4 hours
Nothing to see really but old two churches. I mean the place and its buildings are beautiful, but come on, why not opening the kremlin itself to visitors? I think the place is overestimated at its current status, where people can’t really see anything. The entry fee is bit expensive (considering the history of this place O wonder why they even take money for entrance). Overall experience is good.
It’s hard no to be impressed by the Moscow Kremlin. The churches are everywhere and seeing them surrounded by an iconic wall and gardens are enchanting. It also allows you the time to escape from the crowds of red square.
The Kremlin was very impressive from every angle. From the Orthodox cathedrals to tje Treasury of the Empire. Worth any money you give to visit it. Inside has some police mans check if you cross the roads and passes any ministry vehicle. It has three main cathedrals and some other exhibitions. Inside those exhibitions you learn a lot about the Royal family of Russia and the history. Also inside are the tomb of the Royal family before the era of Peter the great. Everything was fantastic...
We took a tour, which was supposed to be 2 hours. We went inside all 4 of the churches. To be honest , the best part of this experience was being there , not goin inside the buildings. I am 64 years old, and I grew up thinking that they were our enemy. Not so, beautiful country, beautiful people.
Breath taking. Beautiful beyond words and so well maintained. The pride of Russia of its history shows in its maintainance of its historic buildings everywhere we visited. My only complaint again is the tour guides. They are tyrants. The groups are massive to boot and slow everything up completely and you shall not pass for fear of being turned to sand. I would say its better to view from afar than try to look up close because of these (mainlywomen. M
If you’ve in Moscow and not visited Kremlin then it’s a waste! Kremlin in an architectural marvel. The entrance has a beautiful garden and an even more beautiful fountain! Inside the kremlin you see tons of tourists and some or the other event taking place like the ice skating competition in winters, or small markets with rides and all. Taking pictures with fellow travelers and making new memories is just amazing here. Even at night when the whole place lights up, you see the definition of beauty. I highly recommend you to visit kremlin and have a blast.
Fantastic experience. We took the opportunity to take a cruise excursion into Moscow on high speed train. We had the most wonderful tour guide who had a great head of knowledge. It was a long day but so worth the money for the trip. Loved every minute of it. Would recommend the trip.
Very beautiful area, but there wasnt as much to see inside the cathedrals as I originally thought. If you enjoy history, architecture, and taking pictures then I would definitely recommend going.
Beautiful place with a rich history, energized atmosphere, and incredible architecture. Highly recommend the tour of the inside of the Kremlin, where you can visit cathedrals dating back to the 13th century. Great place to be anytime during the day, but especially at night! (I would also advise making a stop at the eternal flame, which honors the loss of soldiers lives in WWII).
Whats goodGrand and has an amazing museum. The cathedrals are also worth visit. There was an exhibition of Ming Dynasty artefacts which was pretty special.Whats not goodThe entry fee is ok but the line is long and tiresome. What to doEnjoy the artefacts and have fun at the Kremlin which is the base of Russian government.
Probably one of the, if not the most, important place to visit in Moscow. The architecture is amazing and youll find another options to visit inside, like the Chamber Armory and the Ivan Bells Tower (which have a great view of the Kremlin). Do not forget to take your camera and be prepared to "feel" the opulence of russian people.
A place full of history, the churches, and gardens are well worth the visit. Its impressive how this place is so well maintained. You can see the cannons left behind by Napoleon. You can also see iconic buildings from Russias history although the tourist can really only see them from the outside, yet its still very worthwhile.
Absolutely loved it. Very interesting place for russian history, you can see mostrly three cathedrals and more churches, gravity center of the ortodox russian church in the past and still important nowadays for the load of art and spirituality. I was not enught lucky to find the Ivan tower opened than Im sure it offer an amazing view of the area. Also museum of armery deserve a visit.
1st place in checklist of places to be visited in Moscow. Lot of things to watch nearby. Just note that if u want to visit inside cathedrals and museums get in line early in morning or buy your tickets online. They allow only tickets for a day. Do carry water bottle with you.
