Had a wonderful experience, the food came out pretty quickly despite them being very busy. The staff were friendly, the Ella chocolate cupcake is the best cupcake I’ve ever had and the lattes are wonderful! I recommend them with a shot of vanilla! I will definitely be back for more!

Wow ! We found this place by accident and just wow, amazing food, treats and customer service. I am big on quality ingredients and you can tell they take pride in their menu and baked good items. Everything we had was incredible and this is now my go to stop in Revelstoke. My only regret is not finding them sooner!!!

We bought bread, scone, turnover, quiche, and coffee. Absolutely delicious. One of my alltime favorite bakeries, maybe the best.

Top notch spot for brekkie! Only eggs they have are in burritos but very tasty with roasted pepper salsa. Roomy sidewalk patio and nice interior with original art. Service was friendly and fast.

they always work so hard to get orders out quickly, my favorite thing to get is the home-brewed iced tea. so refreshing and the perfect amount of sweetness.

I love the modern they have all kinds of baked goodies and great coffee served up. The best thing is they are open nice and early for your coffee needs. They also have great breakfast things.

Amoung many other amazing cafes in Reve, this one too, is high quality! The chocolate balls+ seedy cinnamon bun= so good. And the best cappuccino Ive ever had ( not sweet at all). I dont know how they do it but it is sooo creamy.All very good prices for the quality you get!!!

Great coffee and delicious buns!

Great place for a coffee and breakfast on a Sunday morning, sat outside in the sun and people watched. A great start to the day.

Today I ordered a 16 ounce Matcha latte and was told they didn’t have that. I looked up at the board again to check that I didn’t make an error and pointed out it was on the menu. The girl sarcastically said ‘well, I can put it in a 16 ounce for you if you’d like’ as though I had somehow offended.Drink was luke warm.Oh well.

The scones were 5 star+, and the Croque Monsieur were tasty and fresh off the grill. Very short wait, lots of staff and great deserts. I will make it my regular stop.

Fabulous place to stop in. Food and drinks are excellent. Staff work their butts off with how busy it can get! It has become a favourite spot of ours. Highly recommend you come and check it out!

They have the best cinnamon buns I’ve ever had! It’s not your traditional bun and they nailed it! Staff was amazing and they saved us buns aside for the following morning as we returned later in the day and they were sold out by 9am!!!

I ordered the breakfast sandwich on gluten free bread, a gluten free brownie, and am Americano. It was a little on the pricier side, but it was one of the best brownies (gluten free and non gluten free includedand the seed based bread was such a treat for a gluten free option. Very pleased with the taste.

it is obvious that they know how to bake, we had three different desserts, and each one was fantastic. Coffee drinks very also excellent quality. We were stopped in Revelstoke as the highway had suddenly been closed with zero notice. So my day was off to a bad start. But I will not have bad thoughts of the day because I had an excellent time at this bakery, met a local who showed us around, she was an adorable older lady, local since 1954. ;)

Fantastic breakfast and great sweets. The breakfast croissant was so great I was halfway through it before I remembered to take a photo. The service was pleasant and efficient, all our items were made fresh to order. The sprinkles on the mocha were an unexpected nice touch.

Relaxed vibe, friendly staff, wonderful coffee and teas, and tasty treats. Located in downtown Revelstoke, this smallish bakeshop offers a homey ambience with original artwork on the walls for sale, a vibrant clientele of locals and visitors alike, and a menu that focuses on quality over quantity. An easy five stars.My only suggestion (not a criticism): consider making the grilled cheese sandwich with Miracle Whip or similar... gives a tangy taste and makes the entire experience less dry. That said, the serving here was excellent with fresh baked bread and an ample portion of cheddar cheese.

Excellent little bakery and cafe. The hours are really good if youre going to the hill and the staff are super friendly. Its a good choice for a pre-resort breakfast.

WOW….I was a lucky visitor to come across this place this morning. Super Awesome coffee and baked goods (Carrot Cake)!!! The staff are great here and it is a must stop for anyone blessed to be in the area. I am definitely jealous of the locals. Great Job all and thank you!!

Awesome. The baked goods were delicious, the soups and chilis were hearty and the staff was thoughtful. A great stop on a chilly day.

Had the pumpkin spice Chai. Was delightful. The place was busy and rightfully so. Has alot of charm and friendly service.

While traveling to Calgary I stopped in Revelstoke at The Modern Bakeshop and Im so glad I did! It was fantastic!The staff and atmosphere are welcoming. There is a great selection of food including an AMAZING pot pie.Ill be sure to make The Modern Bakeshop a regular stop!

Food was pretty good and my london fog was delicious. Girl taking orders forgot most of the food in our order but the barista making drinks was very friendly and brought our drinks out to us too.

Excellent in all senses. Two breakfast in my two days in Revelstoke and no words, 10/10. Dont miss it!!

Great meat pies! Tried the lamb curry and Aussie-style ground beef and gravy pies, very delicious! Despite Canada’s British heritage, it’s incredibly hard to find savoury pies, so it’s refreshing to find it done so well! I’ll be back for more, and to try the coffee next!

Well worth the short wait in line. The food is fresh and delicious, the desserts are decedent! The staff are welcoming and service is quick, the facilities are clean and very nice.My only note would be that the patio area out front is situated around trees that have grates around their trunks. Be careful not to let your chair leg slip into one of these... It happened to us and nearly cause a fall.

So glad I came across this shop on our driving break! Super friendly service staff and delicious food. Makes you feel just at home! I got the curry lamb pie and my friend got the quiche. Both very good. Kinda wished I got something sweet for the road. Will remember this shop until next time! Thank you!!

Great coffee. Scones are DYNAMITE (seriously best ones Ive ever had)! Delicious desserts and so many good breakfast options. Staff are sooo nice - super friendly and make you feel right at home! Beautiful artwork displays supporting local talent. just a very lovely place overall :)

The good...Good sized bakery with lots of choices of fresh bread, pastries, desserts, etc. They serve breakfast and lunch and have a few tables to sit at to dine inside, but they have a nice outdoor patio out front to dine al fresco. Service was really good as well!The bad...None!The ugly...None!Will return?Oh yes, for more breakfast sandwiches especially! Try the Farmers Daughter egg sandwich—super good!

Kindest baristas ever! Wonderful quiche, pastries excellent. I thought I ordered a matcha latte, when they came with a coffee latte they replaced it for free no questions asked! They took the trouble even though they were so busy. No wonder locals love this place.

Food is alright!! Price is high! Staff is not very welcoming. Cold brew is bad! Home made iced tea is underwhelming.🤷🏻‍♀️

Modern decor, nice atmosphere and good food! I love how u can see how clean their prep kitchen is and retro cafe feel with old music. Looks like many locals r here. A hidden gem indeed!

Very popular spot in Revelstoke, baked goods look fantastic and the Americano was excellent. Great location with some tables outside. Unfortunately the server at the cash register seemed rude and was non helpful in taking my order, Getting a glass of water seemed awkward as it is a little confusing with the water station part way into the kitchen, also the WiFi seemed hard to connect but once in it was good.

The space is cute but noisy, even when only half-filled. My latte showed up with mediocre foam, and only faint coffee flavour. When the server/barista dropped it off (table delivery if you order cooked foodI said a cheerful thanks, and received no reply.About ten minutes later my breakfast croissant arrived, this time I got a "youre welcome," at least. The croissant was flaky and nice, but being toasted it was very messy. The scrambled egg as fluffy, but unseasoned, the sliced tomatoes fresh but flavourless, the slice of bacon very bland. Melted cheddar was undetectable, flavour-wise. The only condiment was mayo, which would be fine if the rest of the sandwich had flavour, but left it all incredibly bland.While sitting here, I did notice a significantly different attitude from the staff toward the locals, greeting them by name in many cases, smiling and friendly. Perhaps they just get tired of visitors and tourists? Either way, Ill check out a different cafe for breakfast tomorrow.
