Traditional pub with vaulted ceiling under railway arches, with beer garden and big-screen sports.
Very nice pub. Got plenty of outside space if youre a smoker, also plenty tv screens to watch sports. Good amount of selection of beers.
Burgers and fries were awful (cold fries, dry chickenand overpriced for the quality of the product. Drinks ok. Bar staff mediocre. I wouldn’t waste my time or money going there again.
This place is an institution in the City. I have been coming here for many years, totally recommended when you want to watch the big match and you are in the City. Make sure you book well in advance to have a table for big games
The food makes Wetherspoons seem Michelin star. The bar service was slow, but the atmosphere was OK. No sound on football and staff seemed a bit fed up. Won’t be coming back
So many beers on Tap lots of craft beer. Hard to understand the staff but everything came out right. Food was good.
Went to minories yesterday as part of office event. The ambience was amazing and food was very yummy. Special thanks to Swati who took great care of us. She was so polite humble and arranged everything we wanted. The buffet spread also catered vegetarian and vegan dishes along with non vegetarian dishes too. Would definitely recommend this pub if you are around tower gateway .
Excellent venue for group dinners. Service was fast and meals were prime quality. Highly recommended!
Beautiful place. Great beer choices. Fransico was so helpful with our selection. Helpful, friendly and just plan east to talk to. Thank you for being so welcoming.
Went here for my last meal, and pint, in London. Very cool building right under/ next to train station. Wish I could stay for the England v Italy match!
I have been many times to this bar , nice place but there is always a long wait to get served . Expect to wait up to 15 minutes like I did yesterday and last week. A significant staff shortage for the last year ! Too interested in profit
A rarity of a pub in this part of town that I havent been to before but Will definitely be back. Service can be a little slow at really busy times but still faster that other places at their best! I aim to return soon to check the food out to add the last star
Nice beer selection, great place for a pint and food.
The Tardis Bar as I like to discribe it. From the outside this unassuming frontage hides an immense expamse.of dining, drinking and outdoor area too.. Just check out my pics to get an understanding of this place. Right beside Tower Bridge, and Tower Of London for lunch or a night out. You wont be disappointed.
Met friends for dinner here last night and had a terrible experience. Ordered an earth bowl and it came with no salad dressing - and plain lettuce is not what I wanted! Asked for dressing and they said they were out of it. Why not just tell me BEFORE I ordered, as I would have gotten something else?
Good pub food, great location, great ambiance. Fantastic vegan options.
Good selection of beers and great beer garden but the customer service always lets it down. Ive been coming here for a while and the bartenders are always oblivious to whos next. I always get ignored when at the bar and have to wait for everyone to get served first before they come to me-tonight especially it was just terrible., it wasnt busy at all but it still took a good 15 minutes to grab a pint 🤦♀️Anyway, still great place, but the poor service 👍
The space is great. They have lots of TVs and show popular sports on the day.The back bar constantly doesnt have even the full stock of its limited items on draft. The food is very average to be honest. Very bland and not tasty. Would just stick to drinks next time.Book a table for popular nights.
I liked the ambiance, the under ground bar was a nice experience. The food tasted pretty good it didnt take to long to get after ordering. The one thing I didnt like was for a bar they had no non carbonated drinks. Just note if your eating inside you order at the bar. They have a confession booth which was cool to find. They have area to eat outside and little corner spots to eat and drink as well inside.
Nice pub under a bridge! Great craft beers and drinks in a cool space! The furnishings and dogs are entertaining. We were in the area for the afternoon and ended up ordering fish n chips and Mac n cheese. Both dishes were delicious! The cod was large and flaky. They even had a vegan mac and cheese. The regular one was delicious! My friend had a purple cocktail that was to die for!
Decent selection of drinks and the food waa quality, so good in fact I accidentally ordered my mum a burger (shes a 28 year long vegetarianwhich she ate half of and Im still alive to leave this review.
We had a litte leaving party at Minories. All the staff were amazing, but Gokhan stand out. So attentive, polite and he was checking on us all the time. Food was amazing!! Thank you for hosting us
Great choice of beers. Food wasnt your typical pub grub. Really enjoyed it. Got very busy at lunchtime. It went from us and one other couple to packed within an hour.
Great outdoor space for watching sport or a good pint. The screens have sun protecting film on them so you can see on a shiny day. Booths for shade
Very unfriendly staff, we sat at a seat after buying a drink 30 mins later we were told to move to the back of the premises that was not as ventilated in the warm weather when we said we would prefer to stay at the front of the bar but were happy to move the management got a battalion of door men to escort us to the front door without any provocation. Definitely not for families etc.
Great beer garden. Quite pricey though. £6.45 for a Guinness. Staff havent a Scooby on how to pour a pint of Guinness. Not their fault, Im sure. Probably not properly trained to do so. Its not rocket science.
Visited here to have some dinner with my family, great choice from the menu for all of us. All of our meals were nice with quick service, stayed on to have a few drinks in the garden...very nice overall and will be returning.
We were on a tour of London from the US and the staff was so nice. After dinner I was craving oranges so bad and the waitress was able to bring me some. I was so happy I almost cried. If I could give them 6 stars I would. The fish and chips were also really good.
I liked this place on the many visits Ive previously made but unfortunately on our last visit we discovered they were assuming you were asking for doubles (spirit and mixerand charging double splashes maximising their profits. Youve lost my trust and custom.
It was my first time in London traveling in a large tour group! The staff was so welcoming and accommodating to our large amount of people. The fish and chips were fantastic and the brownie we got for dessert was so rich and delicious and they gave us just the right amount. A friend ended up asking for a glass of milk for me and they brought me TWO!!!! I’m so pleased with the service and the food! 10/10 would recommend
So the most expensive pub after 6 pubs.Charged twice for every single splash of cheap coke/ lemonade Staff clueless, view to follow.Do not think we will ever be going in there again.£6.30 a single vodka, staff not engaging, bouncer now coming over as querried as charged for 2 splashes we did not ask for.Would We recommend this establishment LET ME THINK NO.TOLD GIVEN A DOUBLE DASH AS MOST PEOPLE WANT ONE !!!!
I held a surprise 30th for my wife here and the team at the Minories made it a perfect event. If you are thinking about hosting an event and want somewhere in the city then this is your place. Great selection of food and alcohol and the manager Yos is excellent! Thanks so much for making it a great evening.
The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Sharing plates are more than enough for two and delicious! Well definitely come back.
Nice pub, with a nice garden, although we were thrown out halfway through the pint because of a private party, disappointing.Worst thing though, when you pay the card reader asks you if you want to pay a tip and you cannot continue until you press yes or no! Absolute cheek! £6.45 a pint and they want you to tip them for pouring it!
One of the great Pubs in the area. It has plenty of space inside and a nice beer garden. Good ambience. Personnel are professional and friendly. Reasonably priced. I loved the spicy cauliflower and enjoyed the music. A perfect place to relax after sightseeing one of the best areas of London.
Came in for my first time and was showered with kindness and praise from Shanaki. What an amazing lady with so much experience about drinks. She recommended a drink to me and I was wowed when it tasted like everything she described. Amazing asset to your team.
One of my favourite pubs, the food is amazing and the service is always speedy.Perfect place to watch sport.
Lovely afternoon spent at the Minories while visiting Tower Hill, burger hit the spot! Thanx for amazing service, will be back. Garden is a bonus
Fantastic food and drinks . Friendly staff , lovely ladies to meet for food and drinks, good dj .
I have been in Minories several times. Always impressed by live atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff and tasty food. There are plenty of spaces inside and outside. As its very organised we always enjoying watching sports in its garden.
Young lady behind the bar was doing a fabulous job of serving the massive queue of customers, she was working alone as two other staff had not turned up, and still had a sunny disposition when I got to the front of the queue (after standing in the queue for 40 minutes!Well done! She deserved a medal!
During the last year I have visited The Minories couple of times, each time happier than before, and each time, my expectations continued to be exceeded. On the last visit, we ordered a sharing platter, it was absolutely flavorful, well presented and more than enough for two. Apart from the tasty food, the ambience was fantastic, even though my team lost the final match that night, I never felt gloomy. Last but not least, I would love to mention the leadership team, the friendly effective good-looking manager was looking after all the individuals that evening and making sure everything run smoothly, and everyone is pleased. Already planning the next visit.
It would have been great but I was disappointed at the door.I went with my baby granddaughter and the gentleman at the entrance made no attempt to help me even though he could see that I was struggling to keep the door open whilst trying to get the buggy through.I nearly turned back but I was hungry and it was raining.Having said that the lady that took my order and the lady that served me were very pleasant indeed. The food I chose from the menu was very nice and in my opinion good value for money.I will go back there some day but will definitely turn back if I receive the same treatment that I did at the door regardless of how hungry I am or how hard its raining.
One of the best pubs in the Area. Plenty of space inside. Lots of Outside space, covered and uncovered with its own service bar. Clean. Quick and friently personnel. Normal prices. Eazy access , next to DLR and close to Tower Hill underground. A perfect place to relax after seightseing one of the best areas of London
Friendly staff. Burgers tasted great. Bottomless brunch is worth doing here. Really enjoyed it. They have big TV screens to watch sports as well. Cocktails were great... some of the beers tasted flat but other than that, pleasant experience
Surprisingly lively at midnight on Saturday and very convenient if you happen to have just got off the DLR at Tower Gateway. A lot of large screens with sports that are on all the time, but they play a good mix of music.
Stumbled across this place after walking across Tower Bridge. The Minories was delightfully tucked under a railway viaduct which added to the already welcoming atmosphere. The food was very tasty and the staff we welcoming and friendly. I will definitely return for a few more pints and the mandatory fish and chips.
Very nice venue in the bridge arches and good atmosphere. Interesting old church style "confession" stall!Shows sports events on multiple screens.A bit slow service, though there was a rugby game on.The "Sloppy Joe" burger was very tasty, totally recommend it, sweet potato chips also good!Garden is also nice when the weather is good as there are plenty of tables with some under cover with screens and heaters too.Have come to this pub on several occasions.
Fantastic food, drink and atmosphere. This place is like a tar dis, it is quite large inside, various different areas including a beer garden.Love the order / pay by app, using the MyPub app, so easy and works really well. Staff are really professional, helpful and food, drinks arrive really quickly. The fish and chips was good quality, decent sized portion. Tried the spicy cauliflower for a starter, amazing! One that I will have again for sure.
Always a delight to be back here. Amazing interiors, great Beer garden, decently decorated for Halloween this visit and a good selection of drinks. The staff are very polite, although service tends to become a bit slow when theyre close to 75% capacity. Nevertheless, would definitely recommend the place if youre on the lookout for a good pub experience.
Excellent food served prompt service. We ordered for a classic fish and chips and a chicken wrapped in bacon. Each dishs portion size was huge and both dishes were well prepared and delicious. The chicken unfortunately was not served hot and was just about warm which was a downer however the ambience and our overall satisfaction will bring is back soon.I now work just across the street from The minories and hope to visit often.
