An unpretentious neighbourhood pub with a familiar all-day menu of grills and global comfort food.
A random find driving back to near lincoln, from Buxton(Darbys hire)Very good pubFriendly staffHigh quality foodGiven inflation fair price for food and drink.
Stayed at the local travelodge and ventured out to the Millhouse. The place was very friendly and did not mind us bringing in our dog.The food was excellent and served very quickly. Would highly recommend The Millhouse.
The Sunday roast was excellent, lovely friendly staff in a good atmosphere and plenty of parking places
Great pub super friendly staff and the food is always fantastic.
A delightful pub. A great break from the chain pubs which are so formulaic and dull! Good prices too.

First time in going here and will be returning, lovely food and excellent service
Absolutely fantastic. Food lovely, staff fantastic.Such a pleasant place.
Waited over a hour for food on a Tuesday night. They forgot to put one of our tables meals through, meaning one of our party was waiting ages for her dish whilst we were tucking in. Veggie burger came with no topping and missing one side, looked dry af, sent it back immediately. "Seasonal veg" for the steak and ale pie was literally just cabbage. Beer was okay. Looks like a gastropub, but it was mediocre at best. Bit overpriced for meal quality. Think we got a free drink for the lateness of the last meal. Probably wouldnt come here again 🤷♀️
Looks nice from outside, there is parking around the back and some tables with parasols too...the pretty hanging baskets etc make it feel much nice than you would expect right next to such busy roads. The decor was nice, and everywhere seemed light, airy and clean.I didnt go to the bar, didnt use the ladies or have food, but enjoyed my visit and am encouraged to stay and try the food some time.
Really nice warm atmosphere and very helpful staff, menu not really to our taste but other than that overall very good meal.
Very nice but very loud when we visited . Our 4 year old struggled with the large kiddi meals and the curry dish for her was spicy but staff was very friendly
Great place. Had a lovely meal here the other day and the portion sizes were good. They have a nice range of different soft drinks too. We will be returning.Photo is of the Tandoori Cauliflower.
Had a rib eye steak. Absolutely gorgeous the most tender steak Ive had in a long time. Well worth the money.
We were invited to a 74th wedding anniversary lunch and it didnt disappoint. The food service and staff were excellent. We all enjoyed our meals and drinks and the children were very well catered
Great food and welcoming, helpful and professional staff plus great atmosphere
I held my husband’s wake at the Millhouse. The buffet was fantastic in both value for money and in quality. Everyone who attended was impressed and would definitely go there again for a meal. Thank you for making a difference in a difficult day xx
We hired out this venue out for an event. The staff there are fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. The buffet was good for money and we will most definitely be back for a meal or look to hiring this venue out for other events in the future.
I Think we had The Warm ups from lunch time All meals were cold Y/puddings solid the wife could not face her BeefAlso the staff never came to us , ask if everything was 0k until we told her the food was disgusting ( she said I will tell the chef)No replyB Simpson
Lovely pub, we had very nice club sandwich and a fish finger wrap. Great service as well
I only popped in for a coffee which was very good. It may be worth five stars but I didnt stay long enough to say that with absolute confidence.
Lovely food and a great range of drinks.Good for all occasions and considering the size of our booking, absolutely cracking service.Would visit again.
Booked a table for 7 for Sunday evening...yes the prices are a little bit more than wed normally pay but the standard and amount of food that was served up definitely lived upto the price...I had a mega roast meat baguette which came with roast potatoes and dipping gravy..every bit of it was delicious...the rest of the family had Sunday roast as well as chicken burger and chips and we all agreed the quality was very good..definitely will be going back, .excellent service too.
Good pub, great team. Luke is worth every penny hes paid. Goes the extra mile with a smile.
The refurbishment is excellent. A bit pricey, but perfect for a special occasion. The outdoor areas are now very good. Recommended.
Beautiful pub/restaurant, looks beautiful from the outside and even better inside. Really love this place the food is always good but was exceptional today, I had the special chicken & chorizo linguine... amazing and for dessert the peanut butter stack..Wow it was big enough for the two of us 😁
Huge portions, lovely food and lovely staff - cant ask for a lot more really!
Excellent food, best steak burger i have had in a long time. Service is a cut above for the area.
First time here today called in after doing the Asda shop 🙂 lovely atmosphere me and the wife both had a Sunday roast 10/10 it was gorgeous. Will definitely be going back 🤤!!
Our visit last night was brilliant. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and were some of the nicest weve had in this country. It was presented beautifully and I loved the peanut butter stack desert! The chef, Nigel, came to ask us about our food, which was a nice touch. The waitresses, Imogen and Maisie greeted us with a smile and were lovely throughout. All in all, a lovely experience again. I was enjoying the food so much I forgot to take pictures, unfortunately, but it was lovely, nonetheless, in both taste and presentation!!
Been coming here loads since its been refurbished, theyve done a fabulous job, however Ive always found the food very hit and miss, for instance the wraps and baguettes are lovely and great value for money.I had the mac and cheese, the seabass and even though their twice the price they were very underwhelming. Its pricey, but I find the food just isnt consistent, like some of the more expensive dishes really lacks flavour and are dare I say boring. Not going back for a while, its just not worth the prices they charge and now theyve changed the menu again and Ive tried most things, theres nothing that is particularly different from other cheaper pubs in the area. Its a shame because the pub, menu and staff, started out so well! But its lost its spark a little for me.
Amazing food. I had the beer Battered fish and chips and my wife went with the steak and we both agreed the meals were delicious. Rochelle our server was attentive and friendly and the fires on such a cold day was a welcome addition. We will definitely be returning for a second helping
Amazing food, really pleasant and helpful staff! Couldnt ask for me. Really good prices. There was a problem with one desert and they sorted it straight away and came back with extras! Highly recommended.
Perfect Day.. Went to see new James Bond film and after we called in without booking to the Mill House. They were able to seat us even though extremely busy. Ordered the Sunday Roast along with my son. I had the pork, he had the beef. WOW !!! the portions were large and even better, tasted fantastic. Truly delicious. I would say the best Ive had in years and thats saying something. We eat out regularly trying different venues and this rates in my top 3. Prices were fair but I paid extra as it was worth the expense. Definitely will be visiting again. Thank you for the great service and lovely meals.
Had an amazing meal here! Rang to book a table about 90 minutes before we wanted to eat, they said they were full but could squeeze us in. Table we were given was in a corner which appeared to be a walk through, lots of people walking past, it was also very high up. The meal itself was lovely! Portions are plentiful. Staff were very helpful, pleasant and polite. We asked if we could go have a drink outside between main course and dessert and then ordered dessert outside (wasnt as busy by this time). The waitress we had dealt with made a point of coming to tell us that they stop serving food at 9pm so if we wanted dessert we had to order it now. I had chocolate cheesecake (after asking which cheesecake was available waitress didnt inform me it had nuts in the salted caramel saucemy partner had key lime pie. Both were again lovely (apart from the nuts). When we received our bill for deserts and drinks there were 2 drinks on it we hadnt ordered. Staff quickly sorted this, apologised and refunded us no problem. We are not local to the area and asked for a telephone number to order a taxi. We were given 3 numbers and on 2nd attempt booked one. Very impressed all in all and would highly recommend. If ever we are in the area again we will definitely go back.
All the family went out and the service was great. A very clean and nice place to eat. But all of this was out done by there food as it was amazing, cant wait to go again
Brilliant renovation to a lovely pub... didnt realise that Millhouse had been taken over and reopened in September. What a facelift and the food is ace 👍 cant wait to go back
It is looking great with its recently revamped look. The place looks amazing with great service and a wide range of beers, ciders and spirits. Will be trying the food soon. Been back in for food and it was really lovely. Make sure you are hungry as large portions but really well cooked and nice presentation.
