Great philly cheesesteak with the worst fries ever made ever!

Delicious food and great service!

Sub par Dinner food at best . Our waiter was friendly and the service was good . Overpriced for what we were served .

The service was excellent. I wish I remember the servers name. However, the food was not so good. I had the meatloaf-it wasnt very tasty, and it was salty; however, the mashed potatoes and the vegetables were delicious. My fiancé had the pasta with shrimp; that also was very salty and not very tasty. The jumbo wings were excellent as an appetizer and the hippie punch was pretty good if not lacking in quantity; the glass was half ice. The prices were reasonable.

Very nice place! We’ve been coming here for years and never disappointed. I got the salmon BLT sandwich, delish! It came with home made potato chips, perfectly salted. My husband had the roast beef sandwich that came with chips as well. I didn’t eat half my sandwich so I boxed it. So glad for the leftovers since there were no restaurants open when we ready for dinner!

Went to the Metropolitan for breakfast on a Tuesday. Sat at the bar which was less than ideal. I was not expecting a heck of a lot based on the limited options available for a sit down breakfast on a Tuesday, but I was pleasantly surprised. The menu is fairly limited, however, order an omelette and I dont think youll be disappointed. It was large and full of the vegetables I chose. The home fries could be better, but were okay. Service was good. All said and done it was $2 less for the two of us to eat breakfast here than our Wednesday breakfast in the Marketplace downstairs which was not as good.

We had a party of 10 on a Wednesday morning and were sadly disappointed. Our breakfast choices ranged from eggs benedict to steak and eggs to pancakes and it simply was sub par. The coffee was not that great also.

Food is great. Service is great. But the coffee here has changed. Got to bring back the old coffee. New coffee is terrible. Now in summer closed 2pm for days. Absolutely ridiculous,

Went for dinner with friends, it around closing time the food is good and service is fast, but only disappointed for drinks it has so much ice cubes.

I wish I can rate them with cero star.. food is good but the hosster is horrible. She discriminate my self and my whole family. My father have a heart condition and after eat he wasnt feel good. The waitress seat my father outside with my autistic son till I go for his medication. After i leave the hosster her name was Ana she force my father to leave even he explain to her that he was no able to walk with out his medication. No humanity at all . She told them to leave or the security will come to take them away for her. I still dont believe what happened on Thursday.

Cold coffee, burnt beyond recognition bacon!!!! Borgota has really went down hill in the past year.

People will go out of their way to say really bad things about a place but I am here to tell everybody we LOVED this place. I was there to support my mom for her half marathon and were limited on food places. The restaurant looked upscale but no dress code was required. We decided to try the metropolitan and it was so good. Seated fast, Food came out very fast, server was so kind I believe his name was Sabu but I can’t quite remember. The negative comments were probably on a busy day. I recommend the chicken parm and shrimp scampi... so yummy! Would go again.

Not sure if it was a cup of cappuccino that overflowed and crusted the handle, unsalted salmon, rushed and extremely rude server who didnt bring drink stirrers nor small plates nor asked if we wanted anything else, but the 30 minute wait was absolutely a complete waste of time.

The food is good, reasonably priced with hearty servings but the dinner menu is very limited, compared to pre covid. Service was excellent. Hours are also limited, closed on Monday and Tuesday, eliminating a favorite breakfast option.

We love eating here! Our favorite server is Kevin. Kevin is very nice and professional! My husband loves to try the different soups they serve. Hes tried five different ones and they are so tasty! You cant miss with the metropolitan Burger, the chicken strips and the fried mozzarella on the appetizers are very good! They serve breakfast all day! They also have a full service bar to order your favorite drink to have with your meal. A very nice dining experience.

We had a salesperson by the name of Dave, he had no personality. He not once cracked a smile. The food was good,while the manager did come out to talk to us I do not feel it will be address...the manager was saying oh we never had a complaint and he is one of the best server. Even though I had a bad experience it doesnt mean others will... maybe he has a issue with other who are different.

We you read the reviews and still give them a try we deserve what we get😅🤣the celery was fresh.

Almost an hour after paying my bill and leaving the restaurant, I receive a notification of 2 more charges. Had to go out of my way to return to the restaurant to see what happened. The manager Laura couldnt give me a full explanation, but said that there was a misunderstanding and she refunded my card right after the 2 charges happened (45 minutes after I was long gone from the restaurant). Problem is, that she only refunded 1 out of 2 charges. After a back and forth conversation, and copies of receipts, she refunded the second charge. So if I wouldnt get a notification that my credit card was charged, and wouldnt come back to find out what happened, I wouldve had random charges that I never approved. Couldve happened to someone less tech savvy, and theyd never know that they left and an hour later paid for stuff they never received. No compensation was offered at all, to show any remorse for the random unapproved charges.

The menu has been pared down significantly. No more raw bar? Guess well only go there for breakfast.Bartender was very attentive and food was ok.

Most of the time go there for breakfast, they always seem to be too busy and the service is suffering because of it. The menu used to be bigger, but remains consistent.

What was once a good place to eat with lots of choices is now nothing of its former self. Gone are favorites like Pastrimi sandwich and chicken noodle soup. Even the old stables no longer have the great taste they once had. The French onion had absolutely no flavor nor did the Philadelhia cheesesteak. No wonder the restaurant is empty MGM changed it in a bad way. People will try it but won’t come back and will find other places to eat.

Used to be my favorite restaurant. Not sure what happened but the food was horrible. Service was terrible. Prime rib came out in 4 minutes and it was like shoe leather. Mashed potatoes, ice cold. Broccoli wasn’t even cooked. Sad to see a great place go down like that. Surely won’t be back! Don’t waste your time or money people.

The food was good the line was short but then again it was a Sunday. When I go to Atlantic City I always stay at the Borgata for the comps and always eat at the Metropolitan. Good stop.

Food is good, but unprofessional host and some waiters and waitress. Its seems like they dont want to work. They open at 8am, but the take out person is on break, and no one to cover for her. Wow where is the team work, this pandemic really made people stop caring. If you are scared to be outside stay home........

Excellent place to eat for breakfast lunch and dinner. Our experience with Metropolitan has been expertise service, clean and highly recommended. We enjoy eating at Metropolitan.

I had strawberry pancakes with pork bacon...the strawberries were soggy inside of the pancakes. The bacon tasted like they were sitting in oil before they recooked it...I cant believe I just spent money on it. 🤮🤮

Had breakfast here and was very pleased. The service was fast and friendly. The eggs Benedict and scrambled eggs were slightly bland but a little salt and pepper fixed it. Home fries were amazing. Some of the best Ive ever had. Yogurt parfait was slightly small in portion size, but had fresh fruit and was pretty good. Overall a great place for breakfast.

I absolutely loved the food! We didn’t have to wait long for our food and the server, Shawn, was awesome! Professional and helpful when we had questions. We will definitely be back soon!

Horrible. We sat at the bar and the service was fine. The bartender did the best she could. But the food was very slow to come out and absolutely awful. The prime rib was nasty. It was basically seared on one side and completely raw on the other side. My girlfriend got 6 small chicken wings which didnt even taste right. Definitely avoid this place.

My sister and I ate here Saturday 12/7/19. Only give 2 stars cause we had the worst experience!🙄 After being seated..we waited 45 minutes and and noticed everyone coming in after us, 10..15 minutes later sitting on both sides of us were being served their entrees and we hadnt been served yet! Our waitress disappeared..never came back..Manager comes over and says it was a technical error.🙄 She did not charge us.🙂 Thank you..However..the food was really good..I had BEEF SHORT RIBS..and they were Delicious! My sis had Salmon and it was good too! I wish I could have given more stars.. because the Manager was nice and Professional. Well...actually I can..I give 3..BUT SERVICE NEEDS IMPROVEMENT!!😏

Worse service by farBar tender had an attitude and disappeared for long periods of time when we, and other customers, needed thingsManager wasnt helpful and allowed her employee to argue with us (paying customers)Argument was over him bringing soup and sandwich out at the same time, apparently no one in that restaurant has ever heard of soup coming out before your meal. So we were supposed to either eat cold soup or soggy sandwich and be ok with it?We asked the uneaten sandwich to be taken off the bill because the bartender was making us uncomfortable, and we just wanted to leave. He went and got a manager and both of them stared at us, no hi Im the manager my name is, no hi can I help you, nothing. So we explained the problem the bartender stayed the whole time and tried to argue with us, the manager said nothing during his tantrum, and then proceeded to argue and defend the bar tender? In what way is that ok?Horrible staff, so unprofessional.

Cozy little place. Decent menu at fair prices. I had the chicken and eggs which was very delicious!

Not even an average Diner food....The bread never came, until we asked...twice..The grilled salmon came cold, zero flavor. Tasted like they took it from the freezer, to the grill & to the plate. The potato, was soft outside, not cooked at all inside.I ordered eggs & home fries....eggs was definitely not fresh eggs, the home fries tasted like they were left over from the morning....(we ate dinner)Not recomand this place.

We had several items none of which were exceptional. Service was excellent with courteous staff.

I usualky dont expect much from casino meal. However, this was a very pleasant surprise. Both the burger and the crab cake was extremely delish. Especially the crab cake. It was fantastic and its been a long while that its actually lumps of crab meat, not just mayo and bread crumb like most other places.

Very friendly waitress. Cheese curd appetizer was excellent and this is coming from a midwesterner who has had great cheese curds before. Snapper was delicious and well seasoned, didnt even need the sauce that was on the side. Ribs were very good and tender. Large portion sizes.

Food was ok, we will not be rushing back. Service was fine, not very pleasant.

Prices were high, but the service was excellent and the breakfast was good. I simply had a croissant and coffee. Wife had a breakfast plate. Both were tasty. Its an unpretentious place which is nice when you just want something to eat.

I stayed with my family for 1 night at the Hotel Borgata. We came across this restaurant and let me tell you that the experience was amazing. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The place is clean and organized, the food price is reasonable because the food is delicious and the wait isn’t long. I would recommend this place if you’re in search of a comfortable setting and quality food.

We ate here on a Friday night since the other restaurants were packed and honestly too pricey for our budget. The Metropolitan seemed pretty empty and the prices were normal so it worked out. The food was pretty good. We got the mozzerella sticks, Philly cheesesteak, and turkey club. However the service was terrible. Very, very slow. It was empty in there too so I dont get it.

Slowest service imaginable. We waited over 45 minutes for our appetizers (Buffalo wingswhich then came out at exactly the same time as our entrees. The restaurant was less than half full and this was at around 2pm so there was no justification for the delay. When I spoke with the manager, she said the restaurant was "fuller than it looks." Kind of a silly response when there were entire empty sections clearly visible. The reality is they probably dont have enough help so they can maximize profits at the expense of their customers. When it finally came, the food was decent which is why they get 2 stars instead of 1. Either way, I wont be returning.

Good food, pleasant service.

My breakfast was fine. I had the bananas foster waffle and the cream on top was really yummy, but not all that much different from whip cream. The syrup also had a unique flavor, but I really wanted it to be stronger. The waffle itself was fine, it was a "Belgian waffle", but the American version, not a true Belgian waffle. The price (as with everything at the Borgatawas higher than the quality warranted, but was not entirely unexpected.

Ive been eating at the Metropolitan for many years. I was there two days ago for breakfast. Our waiter was very nice, he even gave us coffees to go when we left. The food was good. But it is very expensive for what you get. My breakfast was about $25! It makes the buffet seem like a much better option. It also always takes forever to get your food here. But its clean and nice inside.

Staying at the borgata with the family we went there to have diner. Our 15 MO baby needed to be fed. We came with her pooch of organic food . Just to have it put in a plate was a story by itself. The waiter was worried like we had done something wrong. When entering the place we asked to be seated in a booth,since it is easier to handle the baby. With no explanations the manager said no. She wanted to seat us next to the door which is quite noisy. We eventually got to seat farther in the restaurant, in a quieter area. When we asked the waiter to heat up the baby food he said no, that we werent allowed to bring in food from the outside. Non-sens. It is baby food. She can not eat whats on the menu. Its not like she is competing with their business by eating her food there . He then suggested to call the manager. We greed. She was stubborn and refused to understand that we could not feed the baby with cold food and that it only required 30 seconds in a microwave. Fed up we left with our hungry baby. Silly way of managing a place. Bad business.

Staff and manager are not friendly at all. When pre-ordering, made me wait inside, and didnt let me use my promo. (There goes $$$tip I had for themBuffet is way better at Borgata and the staff there.On top of that had to wait for manager to come out, and took way more than promised to get the food ready.Been going there for years --not anymore!

Absolutely loved the Metropolitan. We came here for breakfast and for dinner and both times it was absolutely delicious. For breakfast I ordered eggs over easy with home fries and dinner I had a steak sandwich. Both times we went the staff was quick in seating us, the service was quick, and the food was fresh.

Have been going to the Borgata since it opened in 2003. The Metropolitan has always been our place to dine; the experience and the food has routinely been excellent.On 11/13 we arrived for dinner at 6pm. My wife ordered a well done burger. As we watched customers who arrived after us get their food, two waiters assured us our food was on its way explaining the well done burger takes a little longer to prepare. We understood that for the most part but 20 minutes seemed a little longer than usual.When the burger arrived the inside was raw! We immediately summoned the waiter and requested the manager. After waiting that long we were shocked a these developments and decided to go elsewhere.The manager did eventually arrive and both her and the waiter agreed the burger was raw inside after viewing it. I was also surprised their was no concession made on our behalf as the manager watched us leave the restaurant.
