I love the classic alpine fondue and meat. I love the dark chocolate chambord fondue as well. My rating is because of the last few times we reserved or walked in and how little was done to accommodate us. Once, we were made to wait over and over for indefinite amounts of time. The other time, the restaurant looked fairly empty much earlier in the evening but we werent given any option to sit at the bar even. Well try the Bellevue location sometime may be. I do love fondue

We’ve been to the Melting Pot before and it was pretty good. What made this experience AMAZING and 5-Star worthy was the service. Our server, Kaleigh, was absolutely great - attentive, quick, conversational but gave space, and very sweet. I barely mentioned that I had a slight gluten intolerance in the beginning and was just planning on eating the vegetables and fruit in the cheese fondue. However, Kaleigh came with gluten free bread for the cheese fondue WITHOUT me requesting it! I was amazed by the way she picked up on this small detail and it really just made our night so worth coming out for. Thank you, Kaleigh, for great service tonight and making our celebration dinner 10/10 😊

We headed to Seattle for a special occasion and to attend The Nutcraker. A trip to downtown Seattle is quite a journey for us as we live close to the Canadian boarder. Reservations at The Melting Pot in Seattle had been made weeks prior and we looked forward to the experience. Life is a journey of experiences and this was one I will not soon forget. The service staff was awesome, however the hostess was not very hospitable. She was dismissing and extremely rude. Family at the table offered to speak to her. I assured them I would seek her out quietly after dinner when she was less in a rush. WOW...what a mistake!! Not only did she say I was rude and embarrassing her but she was also the owner!I must share that anyone who knows me, knows I am the last to complain or to send something back to the kitchen. I will never go back.

If you like cheese at all, always get the double order of cheese or youll be left wanting. Dont take children that touch hot stuff. Its always a good time with semi private booths. I recommend the 3 course meal for 2 if its available. Also, tell them its a special occasion when you make reservations and they offer rose pedal service and more. Fondue!!! Love it.

New Year’s Eve dinner was way overpriced and definitely not worth it! We have always enjoyed our experience at the melting pots on the East side of the country and was really looking forward to it for New Years; we were extremely disappointed with the melting pot here in Seattle. Double the price for smaller portions and the vegetarian meal was a complete joke; 2 potstickers with a bunch of onions and bell peppers chopped up and a few asparagus. 80for a meal like that is completely unacceptable, don’t charge double just for New Years and call it an “experience”. Didn’t even receive our “sparking champagne” that the website states is part of the meal. Don’t waste your time or money please trust me.

So good! But very spendy and packed. Make sure you make a reservation. We didnt but still got to sit at the bar and try some of the side dishes. And it was happy hour so all the bar dishes were half off! We tried the prosciutto and asparagus dish which was amazing and the yin and yang chocolate dish that was mouth watering!!! It was a great teaser. Well definitely be back for the four course experience!

Its fine more of an experience than meal in the sense of price tag. If you are going just for fondue you dont need the four course experience. Just do cheese and chocolate. Skip the entree. Its honestly not needed. Everything can be done at home very easily for much less of the cost.

It was all very good until desert. The chocolate fondue obviously had corn syrup or something like that in it. It was way to sweet for us to eat. Other then that, we had exceptional service even though it was very busy, and the food was tasty!

Our experience did not live up to the hype at all. Pretty much just a bucket list check and will not be returning. Cheese was so salty too, steak was flavorless, and dessert was just.. okay. We had the steak lovers and it was all just real boring, subpar food, super unimpressive. Service was okay but they were very busy, A for effort. Should not have listened to the servers recommendations, clearly don’t have the same taste lol. We heard things crash/ break/ fall 7 times during our visit too. Also found it weird to sit at a table made of floor tiles that made the class level down. $174 meal to learn - it’s not for us!

I like fondue, my partner loves it. This place was a good way to settle a pregnancy-driven craving without a bunch of effort and mess at home. The service was friendly, but perhaps a little too aggressively engaging; not the best for a pair of introverts. The menu was definitely organized to push us toward the packaged four-course "experience". Thats great if thats what you want, but we wanted to be able to order our food in a little more detail. Overall, this is a great place but not the best fit for us personally. I dont know many other places to get fondue, though, so definitely check it out if youre in the mood.

Went here for our 1 year wedding anniversary and had such a great experience! It was very romantic and the food was absolutely amazing! The Groupon doesnt cover dessert (chocolate choices), but trust me - get dessert because its the best part of the nights course! Also, our waitress Kal, was exceptional! She made the night that much better! Highly recommend this place for a special occasion.

Prosciutto and asparagus cheese fondue is excellent. Court bouillon is my favorite cooking method for the meat course, but the cast iron grill is fun too. Pure milk chocolate is my favorite for dessert. Great place for a celebration. However, I dont recommend it around Valentines day, because they have a limited menu to deal with the crowds. Go for a birthday or anniversary instead.

Service wasn’t as good as it usual is. Kind of seems like the last few times we’ve visited The Melting Pot, the experience isn’t just as good as it usually is. We waited quite a while for our drinks — saw the bartender on his phone often (that might’ve been why). Not really the service you want when your tab is well over $200 for 2 people. Our waiter was really nice though and we still had fun. We’ll definitely be back but we’ll be hoping for more.

My wife and I went to the Melting Pot August 3, 2019 for a belated wedding anniversary. She had purchased a Groupon and made reservations for 7:15pm. We arrived at 7:10pm and was told they were running a little behind. We did not get seated until 7:40pm. Our server did not show up at the table for another 15 minutes. He asked us if we were there for anything special. We informed him we were celebrating our anniversary. Since we had never been to the Melting Pot before, we asked what the process was. He told us we needed to pick a cheese sauce then left. After another 10 minutes, our server came back and we ordered the cheese fondue, salad and meats we wanted and a wine flight pairing. Our cheese fondue finally arrived by 8:30pm. It took another few minutes before the wine showed up. Our salad did not get to our table until 9pm. The wine pairing was 15 minutes later. We sat there waiting for the main course until 9:45pm The hot plate was left on with nothing on it. Definitely had to be careful or you could get burned. A table across from us was seated later than us, but got all of their food before we got ours. At one point to entertain ourselves, we pretended to be roasting marshmallows over the empty, but hot burner. Not once did the server check on us, nor did the floor manager. At one point we were told the bartender was backed up, however, there were no more than 10 tables occupied in the entire restaurant. And there was no one in the bar area. Besides, how hard is it to pour wine? When the server brought us our bill, they failed to give us credit for the Groupon. We did not get out of there until 10:08pm. An absolute awful experience. And to top it off, I had to go home and eat. Extremely overpriced, tiny portions and no service. Robert Irvine needs to go there and do his Restaurant Impossible miracle.

I get it, fondue is fine and the pace of the meal is slow. But to go 20-30 minutes without a server checking your table between courses is too much. More water? Another drink perhaps. The food is tasty and plentiful, but the overall experience is odd - a weird space inside, dark and not cheery. There was no evidence of a manager in charge and while our server was friendly, we felt ignored much of the time. We joked with the table next to us about who would wait longer (different server, also made them wait forever). It was Sunday evening, not very busy. Finally the $200+ tab for 3 people was comical.

Had a terrible dining experience here when I brought a party of 10 for my daughters birthday. The service was incredibly slow and our server seemed confused and disoriented. He informed us at the beginning of the cheese course that some of our burners were not in service but he could not move us to another table, even though the restaurant was nearly empty, because the burners at all of the large tables were broken. One of our guests was able to "fix" them when he determined they simply were not plugged in. When our main course arrived the orders were incorrect; things we ordered contained the wrong items and additional entrees that we did not order were brought to our table. It took 20 minutes to bring the additional correct items and 30 minutes to bring a second bottle of wine. At that point I did speak to a supervisor and the speed of service improved slightly. The food is mediocre at best, overpriced and the service is horrible. When they brought the bill a small discount was given. I asked the supervisor if, under the circumstances, she could give us 30% off. She called her manager and they declined to do so. It is a shame because this used to be a fun place to go for special occasions but it has declined to a point where we will never return. So many other great restaurants in Seattle, dont waste your time or money here!

Unfortunately, we actually didnt have the best experience with our visit here. Not that we had bad service, but we actually ended up leaving before we had made it to our table. We had reservations for 8:30, arrived early (like 7:45and were told by the hostess that they were a little behind and that it probably wouldnt be until closer to 8:30 when we would be sat. This was totally fine, as we knew we were early, and we told the hostess we would just have a drink in the bar. The bartender was a little slow to get to us, but we saw that he had a larger group that were all cashing out, so it was no big deal. My boyfriend and I ordered a drink and at 8:45 we went to the hostess to check on our table status. At 9:00 we decided to leave. To he fair, the manager did come by and had told us that they had 3 servers not make it to their shifts and they only had 2 servers on that night, with over 60 reservations. So, we were not upset, things like this happen. No one was at fault, everyone that was working was very apologetic, and we ensured them that we werent upset, and we were leaving because it would alleviate their pressure and we wanted to have an awesome fondue experience. We will definitely go back for another try.

Okay maybe it was an off night but this place just didnt seem as advertised. For the price and location we were expecting an upscale dining experience. The wait between courses and service was comical. The staff was not well trained or knowledgeable. The ingredients were okay but not amazing quality. Make sure to ask for light ice in your drinks cause damn do they water it down! Their portions were actually surprisingly decent but that was about the only thing I was impressed with.. you can check out my other reviews. Im really easy going with my restaurant experiences. The price just didnt match the experience and quality of this place. If you are still interested.. heres some helpful hintsFor the cheese and chocolate courses it is per person per portion of the course. Four people four portions about $13 each person. For the entree and salad it is per person individual plates. Entrees range about $30-70 and salads $13.The menu is a math formula to figure out and the staff are not too helpful with explaining it. Just researcht the menu prior.Definitely ask for light ice so they cant skimp on the alcohol as much..Expect to pay $20 in parking for 4 hours for a 3 and 1/2 hour dining experience lol no joke.I would recommend going here for the chocolate fondue alone or maybe the cheese plate. The meat you cooked yourself and was underwhelming..At least I got some great ideas for fondue at home :)

So for me personally I guess I expected a little more out of my meal for the cost. It was my first time at melting pot. 4 people the total was roughly 380$ but with my military discount (I have never been more grateful for thisit knocked off 50$. The first course was delicious cheese with breads and fruit and veggies. We then had salad and the salad was actually amazing. I had one with strawberries and it was delicious. Main course was alright but didnt meet my expectations. Very small portions of food, wasnt a fan of cooking my own meat and noodles (pregnant so waiting for individual things to cook was not funand even then the pork I felt never cooked thoroughly even when I would leave it in for longer than it needed. There was also only 4 drink options with no alchohol on the menu and each costed almost 6$. The final course dessert was amazing. Fruits small cut up desert breads and rice crispies to dip in your choice of chocolate. It was my favorite part. I do think that for 4 people they should have added more cheese to our first course and more chocolate to our final course. In my opinion, not a 380$ meal. They also have gratitudity of 18% included in the check which I didnt know until the end. So I felt weird by not tipping because Im huge on tipping but it was included. Also parking is horrible. Good luck trying to fit anything but a Prius is one of those spots. I had to do maybe 8 pivots to get my dodge journey out. Overall service was great. We had a lovely server who was very attentive. The menu is was also very confusing when it came time to order. We couldnt understand prices at all. Food is pretty good but not worth the price imo.

Food was tasty and the service was good. Really enjoyed the first course (the alpine, classic gruyere fondue with an assortment of dip-ables). Also got the steak platter, caesar salad, and milk chocolate dessert fondue. Total meal time was about 2.5 hours, so give yourself lots of time. The 4 course meal was little pricey, but we had a great time. Left very full and happy!

The prices were insultingly high, especially for the quality of food and service. Service left a lot to be desired. While everyone was friendly, our order was fumbled multiple times; at one point, the four of us were left waiting in front of a fondue pot, without dippers, for close to 10 minutes. Very awkward and frustrating. But even with just the 4 of us, they already included gratuity in the bill. $400 total. Drinks weren’t worth the price. The food was okay, but certainly nothing special. This was definitely “about the experience”, and even that was mucked up by the service. Will never go again.

This place is actually pretty big, but please make a reservation and dont get there early. There arent enough servers to keep the place full. I made a reservation for 5:45pm on Saturday, but got there at 5:30. They couldnt seat me until 5:45 because there werent enough servers working on a Saturday night. At least they were honest with me.. But once I got seated, the service was amazing. My server was very attentive, kind, and accommodating. And the fondue was fun and tasty. Recommend this place for a romantic dinner night!

The drinks were great! The food needed a little help. The non existent salt & pepper shakers would have put a bandaid on the cheese flavor. Salad didnt have much dressing, seemed like a problem to get a little more. The friendly staff did actually make the date and time positive and worth not complaining... If your not lucky, bring your patience to park.

My first time fondue. The menu is pretty complicated, as the waitress said, but she was very patient and explained very well to us. We ordered a four-course experience, which includes a starter, a salad, an entree and a dessert, $55. It is generally enough for a couple. We added a salad (around $9as suggested and it was good. The starter is bread and veggies with melted cheese pot, entree is boiling soup with five kinds of meat (2-3 pieces each, contains pork, shrimp, chicken, beef and steak), and dessert is cakes with melted chocolate. The taste was generally good and meat was is good quality. They added white wine to the melted cheese in starter, and I feel that was a little too much wine to me. Dessert was a nice try, would be better if the cakes are not that sweet itself (since you have melted chocolate to dip with). The experience was good in general.d

A very pleasant and accommodating experience. Our waitress was very attentive and consistently came back to make sure our glasses were filled and out heater was set correctly. They were able to create gluten free alternative plates for my allergies, which is a plus. That said, its not in the most optimal place. Its within walking distance of Seattle Center, but you REALLY have to be looking for it, since its front entrance is recessed into the block fairly far.Its not fast either. (Its a fondue place, of course its not fast.We spent about 2.25 hours there in total, and it was about 30 min from being seated to the first course being delivered. Two 4-course dinners fed 3 modestly hungry people very well.

Wow, so bad! The last time I went to a melting pot, it was a fine dining experience. Immaculate decor and service, complimented by soft music and lighting. This melting pot however was not that. I booked a birthday reservation for 3. We were seated in a section with young kids. The server was impatient and kept leaving to come back. He also would go on and on about his personal life even though nobody was interested. He questioned what we ordered, and forgot our dessert order. We werent able to order salads or drinks until after he prepared the fondue. The dippers appeared dumped on the plate. Then after we finished our fondue, the drinks and salads came. Dessert was incredibly sweet. After the meal I felt extremely irritated and down right ripped off as i shelled out $150 for a plate of cheese and bread with some salad, and service on par with a low end QSR. The ingredients were very low quality as well. We were there about an hour. Not 2-3. Nowhere close. The grand sangria ($11tasted like MD 20/20, my fiancee ordered the love cocktail that was supposed to be red with heart shaped strawberry slices floating in it. The one she got was a clear pink that tasted "off" and just had a couple mangled pieces of strawberry. I cant emphasize enough how disappointing this place was at any price point. I honestly feel like I should get my money back and probably wouldve said something but I didnt want to make the evening any worse.

I always leave stuffed! You pick what you want to cook your food in, you cook your food, you are in charge of how your food tastes with additional dips for your entrees. The cajun filet and teriyaki sirloin are so good! Be sure you join their fondue club to get 6 free chocolate dipped strawberries!! Great place for celebrating too! I suggest booking online in advance. I gave it a 4 because If you are going to the Seattle one to leave enough time to park and hope that there is no event going on at the Key or McCaw hall or you pay the event parking fees of up to $30!

Definitely a fun place to go before seeing a show or going on a date. Just for fair warning, expect to be here 2-3+ hours if you do the full course meal. It’s fun, but also a little stressful as you have to “cook” your own food in the fondue pot. The cheese and chocolate fondues are amazing, I wasn’t excited about the entree offerings so I probably wouldn’t do that again. But it’s definitely fun, exciting and an experience if you’ve never been before.

The experience was great and so was the food. Everyone was nice as well. However my girlfriend bought the ultimate date night package and it did not live up to expectations. First off we were supposed to get private seating but we did not. The table was supposed to be set up when we got there with rose pedals and candles and the 12 roses. They put that down after we got seated which was kind of uncomfortable. And lastly, they did not include the personal message that came with the package. Overall the restaurant is great but the ultimate date night package was not.

This restaurant was really awesome! Its a pretty fancy fondue place, with a upscale feel. At first I thought they bring you prepared entrees, but you get to cook those just like your fondue! With the different courses you get to pick a salad, a fondue type, choose your dipping items, pick a broth type for your entrees, then your entrees to cook in the broth. And then you can get a desert and dippers. The entrees are mostly surf and turf, and they bring you lots of sauces along with them. The food was great, and since you cook it in the broth at your table yourself, you can prepare your meat or veggies however you like! Our waiter was awesome and the staff was great. My only real gripe with the place was how expensive it can get. If you get their full fondue experience I think they called it, your looking at $70 per person with drinks! But all in all it was a special time and really fun. A good special occasion place to dine.

They had multiple EMPTY booths and refused to accommodate a party of 7 in one of them because theyre "reservation only" even when the restaurant is completely empty and near closing time. Portion sizes are minuscule. The bar server even made fun of us for being in a large party at a small table. The restaurant charges an extra 3% surcharge on the bill without warning. Clearly the owner is responsible for such bad service. The food was ok at best.

Okay, but not amazing food. It was a lot of fun to do fondue. The food was pretty good, but it wasnt the most amazing. Its pretty pricy for a meal for two. We had a three course dinner for a birthday celebration. The cheese fondue was definitely the best. The meat was just okay, and the dessert was good.
