The Melting Pot in Myrtle Beach

I understand why its voted the most romantic restaurant in Myrtle Beach! The food was amazing, the staff were beyond friendly and took great care of us (thank you Olivia), and my wife had one of the best birthday dinner experiences ever! Definitely coming back every time were in town!

This is an incredible experience that you should definitely try at least once in your life! Its very intimate and the servers do not rush you through the evening. We had a great time! The only complaint would definitely be the prices. A little high is all..

Unfortunately this location has gone downhill. I know it’s hard to get employees but our waitress was just not up to par. There were only a couple tables in the whole restaurant and we literally sat with dirty dishes in front of us for 15 minutes. She rarely checked on us. The green goddess sauce used to be amazing but now it’s runny with very little taste. I hope the new management brings this place back around so we continue to go there.

Loved it! The waitress I had was so sweet! Can’t remember her name but she was super sweet, friendly, and funny. She recommended so many different options and even a seasoning on our salad! It was so good and such great service! She was so nice and asked us what our favorite part was and she said she was fairly new but she must have experience elsewhere because she was awesome! It was expensive but you get a lot of dippers and my boyfriend and I had a romantic fondue date! It was very good! I love the chicken and sweet n sour sauce! Overall, great experience! ☺️

This is mine and my wife’s favorite restaurant. We come a few times every year but particularly every anniversary. This was our 6th anniversary dinner here and as always it was perfect. The food and service are always spectacular. Thank you all for the great service and memories!

came here for our anniversary dinner and it couldnt have been a better experience! our waitress was so sweet (unfortunately i cant remember her name :( and so was the rest of the staff! multiple staff stopped by our table to check how everything was and to clear empty plates. the hostess also came to our table with a "happy anniversary" card and that touched my heart! when it was time for dessert, they gave us a plate with "happy anniversary" written in chocolate and its little things like that that really make my day! this was both our first times at melting pot and we agreed were now going to come back to this location every year for our anniversary! I wish I could remember everyones names who stopped by our table, but Ill just say the staff as a whole is amazing!

We came to this restaurant on our beach vacation. Staff was very courteous and knowledgeable. The service was outstanding. The only downside was the time it took to get our food. Be prepared to spend 2-3 hours at this place. This restaurant is pricey so be prepared to spend around $150. Make sure you and your date have similar taste since you share the pot you cook your food in. In my case my girlfriend is vegan and Im not. Although there were options for her it shot our bill up over $200. Overall I would recommend trying this place.

First time at a Melting Pot and I’m a big fan. Can be a little difficult to understand how it works but my server Cara was awesome and broke it down perfectly. Not to mention friendly and caring. We mentioned my girlfriends gluten sensitivity and she made sure we were aware of any gluten products on the menu every time. Great place for a date. Ask for Cara!

first time at the melting pot, and it was amazing! our server, Cara, was super funny & helpful. she was extra careful with me, always offering gluten-free options, which was a plus! when you’re heading over, definitely request her! food was delicious, and the whole concept is interesting to say the least. get the wisconsin cheddar!

My husband and I went to the melting pot for the first time on our anniversary. We did not have a reservation which is highly recommended but they were amazing at getting us a sit. The experience was incredible our fondue expert was Taylor. She was able to explain everything to us and help us decide what we would like best. We did the bigger night out for 2. The atmosphere is very intimate and relaxing. Definitely will be doing back. Taylor was awesome the entire time!!

Awesome staff,this place runs like a well oiled machine,our waitress Keara was very attentive to all our needs and explained all the menu options! It was our tenth wedding anniversary and they really helped us celebrate!!! Would recommend to everyone,top notch place

Food was incredible and its such a fun experience. Every table is very private too which is great! You need to make a reservation so remember to do that way ahead of time. And plan for approximately 2 hours of gut filling bliss. Our waitress, Jolee was super great!!

Our server was amazing. Very friendly and brought things at just the right pace. We hadnt been there before and she made sure we knew just what to do. The food was absolutely amazing! It was a great experience.

First time here and WOW! Food was amazing and the portions was unbelievable. The service Konner provided was spot on and made our night more enjoyable. Highly recommended. Will definitely return.

Food was great, cocktails werent bad but didnt wow me. I know its a chain but some adult child was blasting music on his phone near us and the servers nor manager did anything to stop it. We enjoyed it but will probably be skipping this in the future.

Food was good but what made our night awesome was our server. Sparkle was such a great lady, very attentive and even wrote a note on our daughters plate with chocolate because she knew she was heading back to college. It’s those little things in my mind that sets servers apart. We really appreciated her going the extra mile ♥️

It was awesome, our waiter Shawn was very friendly and helpful with suggestions. Knew his stuff! I enjoyed the experience. If youve never been, it is a fun experience where you can cook your own stuff

We celebrated our date night here on vacation. It was a really nice experience. The dinner experience took about 2 hours but after not having a date night in a long time, this was welcomed. It was tasty and fun to cook your food in fondue. We had so many “favorites” with each course but by far was the lobster and shrimp with the second sauce on the menu. I believe it was the one with red wine. So I am sure other broths with ones that are more seafood appropriate are even better. Our servers personal favorite was the mojo because she liked seafood. I might try that one next time because for sure I am getting seafood.

Wish they had a better floor plan and better lighting cause the darkness was an overkill. And they should have a better way to rid of the fumes from cooking and grilling on the burns at the tables. Plus they keep you waiting to seat you even with a reservation because their policy is once seated you have to order, and everyone must order at the same time once seated. Didn’t make any sense to me. Already 6 of us were there but had to wait for the rest of our group to be seated about 20-25 minutes cause our friends were late. Table was reserved for 11 people. We were told the biggest table is for 11 people. But when we were seated there was space for only 7-8 people. They had to bring extra chairs, and it felt too crowded at our table. We were 9 at that point. Service was friendly but not prompt. By the end of the night we waited about an hour just to pay the bill. We spent five hours when we only planned to spend 2 at most. Most of time just wasted on waiting. Our drinks, food and Fondu were ok though. The atmosphere is a bit too cozy and a bit too dark. We had to use phone flashlight to see the menu.

Food and service was amazing! Super easy to order! Only issue I had was heart burn! But other then that this place was amazing!!!

Interesting place for a romantic date night. The food itself is good enough. It is fun dipping different things in the cheese and then experimenting with all the sauces for your dinner. The chocolate for the dessert was also great. Losing points here for some atmosphere issues. The place is dark for the sake of being romantic, but its really over kill, its like a movie theater. The booths are a little small considering how much food they try to put on them. The place was very hot and remember, this is a place youll be spending 2 hours, so it was very uncomfortable, with 100 tables with burners on the table top youd think they would pump some air conditioning into the place. The food was good, it was fun doing something new, but Im not sure its worth the over 200 dollars we spent for a table of two. Also our waiter was not very attentive, often waiting very long times for drinks, and at one point over ten minutes just to come back and tell us they couldnt make a drink due to a lack of ingredients.

Not a great experience this past visit, not sure if theyre dealing with staffing issues or new management but was disappointed with the overall quality. Ordered the modern old fashioned and the server brought out a drink that was less than 2 ounces? I removed the one large ice cube out of the glass and asked why the glass is only 20% full, the drink in totality was 2 ounces at most. He looked surprised and asked if I ever had an old fashioned before and then said that was normal, because the ice will eventually melt. I told him that Ive had them many places and theyre usually not that small. Then he recanted and said that maybe they had a new bar tender. I ordered a second drink to see if it was any better and it was quite watered down. For $13/piece including tax and tip the cocktails should be much better then they are. My wifes drink was also mostly water. They used to make decent drinks here but no longer. They also stuck us at a tiny booth where youre required to sit perpendicular to each other at a weird angle, it made no sense because there were plenty of 4 person tables available where nobody was seated?? Probably wont go back anytime soon.

This was a very good experience, being it was my time going the concept seem weird at 1st but ended up being a very fun and enjoyable dinner night. Our waitress was super nice and very knowledgeable of the menu, gave some great recommendations, my only complaint was the restaurant was VERY smokey from grill that other customers used to cook their food, If not for smoke definitely would give 5 stars.

We’ve been going here for a while and this was the first time we’ve ever been so ignored while eating. We waited 20 minutes to a half hour in between each course because our waiter was nowhere to be found. It was my birthday and it was the worst experience I have ever had here! The lovely lady who sat us gave us the card but I did not get my happy birthday dessert. The table next to us (who our server was also taking care ofgot up and paid at the front because our server wasn’t coming around. Then I noticed an extra drink put onto our bill he forgot to take off. I have never been so disappointed in this place. Our cheese tasted SO STRONG of wine I got drunk off my cheese course! Horrible tasting cheese! So disappointed.

Went to the melting pot for a friends’ birthday a week ago. Customer service was good. It was a nice experience given that we have never done it before but it wasn’t worth the price. The pricing on the meals were a little confusing so get a good understanding beforehand. I got the vegetarian dish and it was subpar and didn’t have much flavor. Overall wasn’t a bad experience, I just had high expectations.

Romantic dining with low lighting everywhere. Double dates (4 pplwill have to share 1 burner. Groups of 5+ will get 2 burners. Keep that in mind when making reservations and having different taste.

a bit underwhelming experience than what I expected. Ordered the Bigger Night Out ($99 for two), drinks were good, service was good, food was okay. Glad we were able to try out a variety of selections. For an experience, its worth trying. Would do a la carte if we went back.

Excellent meal in a good location. Our server Brianne was fantastic. Love the melting pot so we try to go If there is a location where we are staying. There were some disruptive gentlemen at the bar but our server had no issue moving us to a quieter part of the restaurant. Later we found out that the men did not stay, which was good because they were very rowdy and cursing, and certainly not the typical clientele for melting pot. It looked as if they had reduced the portions slightly, which was not a bad thing because there is always so much food. We felt we had eaten well but not so stuffed that we were uncomfortable. If we come back to Myrtle Beach we will definitely eat here again.

Very great place to eat. Romantic atmosphere. The cheeses, salad, entree and chocolate is the way to go. Great time for all ages. Love this place. Go every Christmas Eve and special occasions. Never a bad experience. Great family owned business .

Cara was great! This was our first time at a restaurant like this and she took the time to explain everything and gave us recommendations. We thought the pace that she brought out the courses was perfect, she gave us plenty of time to finish one thing before she took it away and brought the next thing. Would highly recommend.

My husband and I came here during our honeymoon. The food was delicious! We had a fun experience as well being able to cook the meat ourselves. We were both so full by dessert, but it was so good, we didn’t want to quit eating. Our waiter was also the best waiter we have ever had! We don’t remember his name, but he was so helpful and polite! Was the best dining experience we have ever had!

This did not quite live up to our expectations. The wait for certain courses was longer than expected without explanation. The staff brought extra food to make up for this, as well as the exceptionally loud table next to us (so loud we could not hear our conversation at the table). The restaurant bills itself as a romantic get away, but youd need to be sure to get one of the more secluded areas.

The food was absolutely fantastic. This was the perfect local experience for this out of town family. The only negative part of the experience was a table of women who were exceptionally loud and, in a way, took away the enjoyment of the meal. The management did what they could for us, offering extra dessert, which the kids loved, but the women were so loud we couldnt hear each other talk.To all customers anywhere: please remember that you are dining with other people who are also trying to enjoy their dining experience. I am confident that the experience of the Melting Pot would genuinely have been (and will be next timea truly 5 star experience but for that table of women.

Best food I have ever had, by far! Second to none. Our server was friendly, goofy, and very knowledgeable! I wish I could remember his name to recommend him. My wife and I came for our honeymoon and said that we might have to plan to go to a melting pot every year for our anniversary! Again, the best dining experience I have ever had!!

Sorry I dont have any photos to share but I would like to thank every person there and they were very accommodating because I am recently a paraplegic from my waist down and We called late to make the reservation and somehow they made it work!! Everything was brought to us very nicely very nicely very organized and the staff was very accommodating so I want to give a big shout out to the staff thank you so much we will be back you made our anniversary great...

Came here as an 10th anniversary dinner for my wife and myself. Jaden was our server and was one of the best servers Ive had in awhile. This was our first time and he helped explain everything and was extremely nice and patient. Also during our dinner the server Daniel who had the table next to us checked in on us. The Melting Pot is the best place for a date night! The ambience of the restaurant is intimate and cozy. The food is always spectacular and the waiters are very personable. All the staff strive to make your experience enjoyable. The place continues to be a favorite of mine.

It was my birthday dinner and we ended up getting the 2 for $85, it ended up being $175 the food was decent but small portioned. Personally I think the cost was too high. Like everyone says you really just pay for the fondue experience!

Our family hadn’t been to Melting Pot in years, but we were in the mood for something different and I’m so glad we came in. Our server Madison was great and showed patience with us. We had questions every step of the way and she kindly answered them. We were all full by the end of the meal even my husband who swore he’d leave hungry. We will be back.

My wife and I celebrated our 11 year wedding anniversary with dinner at The Melting Pot. Chance is definitely the Big Cheese and helped make our evening special. Thanks to the host for setting up our romantic table making it extra special!

Excellent! That is what I have to say about The Melting Pot. Everything was so good! We went for a date night and ordered The Big Night Out. From the first course to the last course it was great! Our server Madison was great and answered all of our questions! Definitely going back and recommending it to everyone!

Let me start by saying that Nikki & Red are amazing! We had two hiccups with uncomfortable seating when we first came in and they were happy to move us and make us feel comfortable. This was our 1st visit to the Melting Pot and they made it an amazing first experience!! My husband and I were celebrating our 7th Wedding Anniversary. They took their time and explained everything to us and we didn’t feel rushed at all. We were able to try foods that we’ve never explored before and it was very adventurous. This anniversary we wanted to do something different and this hit the nail on the head! They explained everything that they were mixing and adding to the pot so I also learned a lot. I’m so grateful they they were my servers! I tipped them great because they blew our minds. Definitely will be returning worth every penny.Thanks again Melting Pot<3

The melting pot is delicious and a great experience. I took my wife there, the first time both of us had fondue and it was great. The table could have been a little bigger for all the different plates that they brought us. The food was delicious and it definitely filled me up. A great romantic experience.

An experience that should not be missed. Great atmosphere, great service with knowledgeable wait staff. The food was amazing and getting to cook it yourself can sound daunting but was easy and well explained. If you have only one night in Myrtle Beach and your looking for something amazing, then come by here and you will find an excuse to come back to Myrtle Beach.

Best dining experience I have had in a LONG time! Our waiter Chase was a pleasure. He explained everything, made recommendations, and was social enough without being overbearing. I was super impressed! Please ask for him for your evening and you wont be disappointed!The other staff members filled in if he/they felt like his hands were too full so we never waited too long for anything. The timing between courses was perfect, never felt like we were being rushed or made to wait. The food was amazing; super flavorful, and perfect portions! We have been in blissful fullness ever since!If youre looking for a date night location without it being overly stuffy, come here! Do yourself a favor and try the mojo cooking style and the cookies and cream chocolate!
