Fondue restaurant chain offering heated pots of cheese, chocolate or broth for dipping & cooking.
Delicious food, amazing service. Such a wonderful evening!! Thank you Melting Pot ♥️
An occasional favorite. Mostly for special events like birthdays. Very good. The cooks are amazing.
Phenomenal experience. Food was so tasty and the service from staff was wonderful. Definetly a great first time here!
Amazing service! Max was phenomenal! I really really appreciated the vegan options, the vegan cheese was 10/10! I was surprised to even get that option so THANK YOU, it was so great getting to eat (rare when I go out to dinner with family around here)! Again Max is amazing, wish he could have sat down and chilled with us! The whole staff was great! 10/10!!
Our waiter, Alessio, made our great experience even better! He was hilarious and came back and checked on us making sure we had everything we needed! And the food was incredible!
Amazing experience! We loved the variety of different items to dip along with the variety of entrees. Everything was so good. On top of that, all of the staff were so kind. Our waiter was Elijah and he made the experience even better. Great, great service and very personable. Definitely recommend!
Last night was my first experience at the Melting Pot. The food was delicious! Bring a big appetite because you will want to try everything. All the different dipping sauce were so good. Our server Tanner was incredibly nice and took plenty of time to explain our options and how to do everything. I would definitely go back again.
We had an absolutely amazing experience. We would definitely come out again. My wife enjoyed her Fruity DrinksWe enjoyed all the tasty cuts of meat. The smores Fondue is absolutely 🔥Our waiters were absolutely phenomenalAurora and Blake are some pretty wonderful people and took Excellent care of us
Honestly I use to love melting pot, it’s why I brought my husband here for his birthday. It was his first time and not exactly an amazing experience, started with drinks getting splashed over the table and overall we were not very well taken care of. I told them it was his birthday which was hardly acknowledged…. Then we get the desert to go which I have done before and come home to bananas that look half dead and chocolate that’s missing ingredients. We got the flaming turtle I understand no flames but there was only chocolate and caramel no nuts. Paying 150$ and walking out feeling taken advantage of is not my normal experience. I will not be returning after this.
Great service. Great food. Romantic too.Yummy espresso martini. Lots of good food!!
While this was my first experience and I did enjoy it very much. Service was awesome and the foods was delicious. But I really cant justify the costs for the amount of food that we got. Read some other reviews and itll be noticeable there too.It is a great time to spend with someone there, but if youre hungry, eat something beforehand, so it doesnt feel like you have to stop at a fast food joint to get more food. Im reminded of the portions of the foods that was given in the restaurant of the movie called, "Demolition Man". Youd get more from Melting Pot, but not that much more.Good odds Ill be back.... eventually,... now that Im aware. It may explain why you dont see pictures of the foods in their menu, because its hard to change your mind once youve been sampling the salads and cheeses.
Husband & I went for our anniversary dinner and we were so disappointed by the food. The entré portion were SO SMALL we couldn’t believe it!! You’re basically eating boiled meat cooked in red wine for mad money 😟
Alessio was amazing! The food is delicious and Alessio made it all the more fun! We had the best time at our last dinner in Idaho. The kids had so much fun cooking the food and dipping everything in the cheese!
UPDATE: The manager, Amber I believe, offered us two dishes of fondue and dessert for free. I visited again recently and had a much better experience. The waiter was excellent and the service was all around great. I believe we were treated poorly the first time because my friends and I are young. My visits in the past had been pleasant ones, so I was expecting the same for tonight. Unfortunately it was not a great experience at all. The food was good but I was disappointed with the service. Our server never once filled up our waters, and at one point we had to wait an hour for our next course after finishing the previous one. He never took our dessert order but then brought out the original fondue to us, saying that he had just assumed that was what we wanted even though it was not. The whole time he had an overall bad attitude and acted like he wanted us to leave. We were celebrating my friends birthday and was hoping for a good time. For the expensive prices, you’d expect excellent service as well.
The hosts were really helpful when I called and were able to make a last minute reservation for our party of two that worked perfectly. Kendra was our server & she shared with us that she hadn’t been there really for that long, but we couldn’t tell & we’d worked in restaurants for a big portion of our lives. She was so nice, personable, and knowledgeable about the menu options that we had chosen. We don’t get to go to the melting pot often, but we’re hoping Kendra is there the next time we do!!
The wife and I went here for our 12 year anniversary and it did not disappoint! We got the Big Night Out Dinners for Two! We started off with the Wisconsin Cheddar (really good). The ceasar salad was good and the little pine nuts were delicious. The "Big Night Out" main course was great with a platter of different meats to cook (shrimp x6, two types of steak x4-6 pieces each, chicken x4-6, salmon x4 and some veggies! We scanned the barcode on our phones, which sent us to a Melting Pot timer to use while cooking, which was convenient. Not sure how, but after all that, there was still room for the smores chocolate fondue 🫕! We might come back just for dessert lol 😉 😜Shout out to Kendra, thanks for doing a great job and making it an experience to remember :)
What an experience! The waiter was so very knowledgeable about the extensive menu. None of us had been to a fondue place before so we were clueless as to how this all worked. Sam was patient, fun and friendly, taking time to make sure all our questions were answered. When the food began arriving… we’ll let’s just say none of us were disappointed. All was abundant and delicious. Highly recommend!
Fun place to relax and have amazing food! Dinner was made extra special for my birthday and someone picked up our tab? We still do not know who to thank but it was amazing!
Food was delicious. Definitely pay for the experience and the atmosphere. The food was also delicious though. My fiance and I had the loaded potato cheese fondue and the Yin & Yang chocolate fondue pot. They were divine! Our server, Aurora, was also an absolute joy! She made the whole experience complete. She was informative, vibrant, and fast! Thanks for the lovely experience tonight.
This location was great with private booths and beautiful photos and artwork. We loved our server and he was knowledgeable, timely, and great to talk to. They updated the menu since we had last been which streamlined ordering. Still the same great cheese, cooking styles, and chocolate fondue. We will definitely be coming back to this location!
Amazing service! The attention to detail goes above and beyond! Food is delicious! Presentation is gorgeous!
They were not prepared or overbooked. The food is always amazing. I paid for the lovers deluxe package and should not have done on mothers day. That was my fault. I am stuffed to the gills again great food.
Honestly one of the best dining experiences Ive had. Our waitress Aurora was beyond amazing. We werent crazy about the cheese fondue we initially picked, so she got us another one free of charge. Dessert was so delicious and the gluten-free options tasted fantastic. Aurora also got us a discount, gave us extra snacks, and other helpful tips. Definitely coming back, for dessert if nothing else!
My wife and I celebrated our 17th Wedding Anniversary at Melting Pot. We havent been to a Melting Pot for several years. We have the cookbook and make a lot of the recipes at home. We wanted to try a new cheese fondue and so we got the Cheddar Loaded Baked Potato fondue. It has fontina cheese in it, too that have it a creamier taste and texture. It was excellent. However the best part of the experience was our server, Alessio. He was very attentive and had done great suggestions to try. He also did a good job up selling us to get a few things that were really great. Just before leaving he gave me an extra rose to give my wife as we celebrated.
We went to the melting pot for a date night and had wonderful service! The food was delicious and came out at a great pace. Our server Alessio was incredibly kind and helpful. Highly recommend the Melting Pot in Boise for any special occasion or a fun night out!
This place continues to be one of my favorite places for a special fancy dinner. However, my most memorable was wife appreciation, roses and chocolate covered strawberries what a great idea. Thank you.
The worst service I have ever experienced. We went there for my birthday (the front desk was informed that it was for a birthday party when we booked). We waited 45 minutes before anyone even came over to our table. We were told that it was a miscommunication between the servers but the service was awful and almost non existent all night and the food portions were much smaller than they were in the past. When we received our bill we saw that we were charged for an additional entree that we did not order. When we told the server about it, he said he couldn’t take it off because he was “pretty sure” that we ordered it and ate it so we had to get a manager involved and she finally took it off. It was just a terrible dining experience overall and the fact that it was on my birthday just made it even worse. I’m so disappointed because this used to be one of my favorite restaurants.
Super fun night out for dinner. The experience is great and the food was good. Sean our server made our experience even more perfect! Will be returning and recommending!
Super awesome time. Great service and staff. It was a super fun fondue experience. My wife and I had a blast. Perfect for a date night, birthday, anniversary etc.. Food was delicious and their cooking time app was very helpful. The dessert was amazing.
Overall a great place. Great service and great food. Just didnt know how long it would take to get through the main course.
My husband & I shared a special Valentines Day couples dinner. The food and drinks were great and exceeded our appetites! We opted for the Salted Caramel Toffee dipping choice for dessert (pictured), which was fantastic. The service was prompt, friendly, and efficient.
What a struggle (and a costly $432 for something so simple! Not sure why gratuity (18%was applied to a party of six when it says only applied to 8, but we were often left ignored and watched others around us have prompt service. Not a service I would’ve tipped 18% on. The cheese portion came and went before our server even got us water. Had to ask someone else to get a party member a water. Started trying clearing plates when people weren’t finished. Over all we were there for well over two hours. Slow service but what do you expect if they know they are guaranteed 18%. Watched them serve a table of two first with our food on the tray. If you knew you were getting a big tip from us anyways why not serve us first. Hefty price for a terrible experience but what do you expect from just another chain restaurant. Hell we had an infant with us you’d think they would want to get us in and out.Side note the food was good. Service is trash.
Food is always great… today we were seated in a booth and everything was poorly wiped and very dirty. This may be a one time thing, it left a bad taste in my mouth.
Always such an experience plan to spend a little bit of time there. And make sure you save room for dessert or maybe ask for it first. The service is great.
I need to make clear that the service was as good as possible under the circumstances. Apparently people called sick and even the bartender was attending tables. Our server was kind and very nice, but the waiting between courses took too long. The food was good. The price... not worth it. 😕 Interesting experience, hopefully with full staff they can leave a better impression. I insist, the people working did their best under the circumstances, but the waiting was extremely long.
I have always had great experiences at any Melting Pot Ive visited across the country. This one was as expected. Delicious, fresh, and friendly service. The flavors are always consistent and the variety is like a tastebud party 🎉 Great locations for special events with a special someone. I love that they added gluten free options as well! Always a win on my list!
Been coming here for 7, years, I’m gonna be honest it’s not been consistent for me. But, when it’s good, it’s GOOD. Normally I can expect excellent food, prepared great, engaging and on-it staff, and great environment. The food is SO GOOD. Bring able to do the dropping & final cooking is so nice and fun. My wife and I like to come here every other month, and we will occasionally bring the family. We look forward to this place.Sometimes I don’t get my drinks until 30min in, and 1hr later none of my food has showed yet. And while the two visits I’ve had that were not standard at all, those were exceptions. You should definitely come here for a visit if you haven’t been here before. But if you aren’t getting the service & quality that you should, don’t feel guilty for cutting out early.
Absolutely amazing service, and food. We went for our 1yr anniversary, had a private table, with beautiful decor. Thank you gor making our night special
Came here with my husband right after we got married. We got the alpine cheese fondue, I got the veggie platter & he got the standard one with the coq auto vin AND the chocolate turtle fondue at the end for 80 bucks. Thats a phenomenal deal & the everything was so good. I always love coming here. Its going to be new yearly tradition from now on.
Our experience was so incredible. I called a few days ahead to reserve a table for my wifes birthday. They have adorable options for table decorations for the birthday guest, I went with the Teddy bear and balloon. They even let me come in a few hours early to add more of my own gifts to the table. We went all out and selected to 4-course meal "Bigger dinner for 2." As inclusive as it is, it was an absolute steal for the price. This included an appetizer cheese fondue, two small salads, chicken, sirloin, filet, shrimp, salmon, and the best of all, Lobster tail! Everything was finished off with a chocolate fondue. For drinks we enjoyed a pitcher of their Sunshine Sangria. It is very summery and kind of reminds you of a beach vacation. I think their red sangria would have been another excellent choice, for our next visit. It was so fun cooking our selections as we progressed through the night. We had a lovely and attentive server Regan, who made our experience that much better. Thank you Melting Pot! Cant wait to be back!
This was a great experience and one that we checked off our list. Made a reservation and was seated in a quaint "Bell Tower" booth. The drinks and spirits were great. The Quattro cheese was delicious for dipping the selection of bread brought to us. Lexi was a great waitress and made some great suggestions. We left full and satisfied.Give yourself a couple of hours for a great experience.$$$$$/5*****/5
Its a fun experience. You dont get much food. The staff was very nice and the drinks were awesome. Great selection of spirits and non alcoholic beverages as well.
Visiting Nampa for the boyfriends grandparents and I looked up to see if there was a Melting Pot nearby and saw they had one in nearby Boise. I was so excited! Since the Covid quarantine we havent been able to go to our home one (Sacramentoso I called up and they had open reservations so we booked one. We showed up and were seated within 5 minutes and the staff was super friendly! Our server/bartender turned out to be one of the owners and she was super nice as well as her husband. They also own a Melting Pot in Spokane,Washington which any time we stop through there well keep in mind to visit. They answered any questions we had and were just nice all around. There was another team member who I cant remember his name but he recommended a couple of chill spots to have a beer in the area which was also helpful. Next time we come to visit we will be making it a point to return here. Food was excellent and tasted fresh! Good size portion for the price as well. The Melting Pot mule is a must!
Phenomenal experience. We did the complete fondue experience for two and it was perfect in every way. I think since this was our first time visiting, it was the best to get a feel for all they offer. While it was a little pricey, I imagine we have many visits to come as we try different options. We did the Pacific Rim for entree. Ended the meal with the Turtle and Smores chocolate fondue. Our server Alley was an added treat. She was superb.
Everything was superb from the service of the kind wait staff to the food and the experience. Was the meal I just had worth almost $300 for two people? Not quite. Well the selection of dippable options is almost unending, The quality left something to be desired. For the same price there are steakhouses downtown that I would rather eat at.
It was a fun experience to watch our waiter make our cheese fondue, then serve us our next course so that we could cook it ourselves. The food was seasoned to perfection and the desserts to choose from were fun and creative. I was able to eat a lot here because I am borderline celiac and they have so many GF options!
Very fun unique experience. The food was good, the staff was nice attentive and I left full and satisfied. You have to cook your own entree but you choose the ingredients and cooking method. It was a fun experience cooking and timing everything. the chocolate dessert fondue was an excellent finish.
We went for lunch on a Sunday. It was very quiet, we did not need a reservation. Food is always excellent. We did the four course meal good below for what you get. Cheese fondue you get bread, apples and veggies for dippers. Main course comes with your meat and veggies, five sauces and a garlic and wine seasoning. Chocolate comes with pineapple, strawberry, brownies, marshmallows, pounds cake and rice crispy treats.
The Melting Pot is definitely an experience for two but can be shared with a group or a family. This experience can be a little pricey, so be prepared to spend a little more money than a typical chain restaurant. The service, staff and food was very good. The restaurant was clean and had a relaxing and personal ambiance. This also plays well into a romantic setting as the lighting is low throughout the restaurant other than at individual tables allowing the dinner party to focus on one another rather than bright and loud distractions from throughout the rest of the restaurant. Also, each booth is well partitioned to allow even more seclusion. Our particular server was very personable. Each course was well presented and tasted just as good. I recommended the 4 course dinner. However, you will need to bring your appetite for this. There is a decent selection of wines and beer to pair with your dinner. Also, there are additional ad ons for selection to provide more options for a tasty dining experience.
This place is perfect for special occasions and intimate dining in general. They offer a four course meal which comes with your choice of starting cheese fondue with veggies, apples and bread. The second course being your choice of side salad. Third course, the main entree where you can choose from various selections of delicious meats, seafood, pasta and veggies. And last but not least, your choice of chocolate fondue which you might be too full for but I promise its worth indulging in. I come here for special occasions and I love the atmosphere. Coming once a year doesnt seem like enough, its always good so maybe Ill come more often.
