Good atmosphere and plenty of space in the beer garden.

I had Sunday Roast with Turkey which was very enjoyable. The meal was well cooked, the service was very good. The surroundings were fine. Parking was relatively easy.

I mostly like the venue. Warm inviting pub with a great outdoor space. The location is very nice as well. Lots of locals across all ages.Very friendly and accommodating staff.The beer is standard commercial and on the week abv side.I had the signature fish and chips 3/5. Sadly average. It was accompanied by a brown curry sauce that is super good 5/5.

Although short on staff, The Marlow Donkey did a great job delivering great food at a very reasonable price , great beer and a really good atmosphere. Good job!

Lovely pub. Good food. Service is great and staff are polite and efficient.

Our meals tasted like surface cleaner or bleach, vile chemical taste. The tomatoes with the steak came cold and had mould on them. The pie was frozen and microwaved, better off buying a stale pie thats been sat at the back of the fridge in a chippy for a few yearsNext time Ill remember to go there for a few pints but head off to the kebab van if Im hungry

Great night at the Thursday quiz. Thanks to Sharon, an excellent quizmaster. Pre-quiz meal also very good: standard pub fare (burgers, scampi, lasagnebut nicely prepared and presented. We’ll definitely go again.

We had a great family meal here. Kids menu was great. Adult menu was great. Beer was lovely on a very hot evening. Staff were brilliant. So friendly and helpful. The price was great too!

Great satisfying food at very reasonable prices, friendly swift service, comfortable indoor and outdoor seating and super location for the station. It was perfect, just what we needed for brunch before getting train back to Brum.

Went to the Thursday quiz night and had a blast (even if we did come last!The quiz master, Sharon, is very friendly and did a very professional job of keeping us all engaged (and in line!). Will make this the pub quiz of choice - here’s hoping we improve our place on the scoreboard next week!!!

Friendly and helpful staff. Pretty interior and good choice of sun or shade in the spacious garden. Typical pub menu but everything we had really tasty and well cooked.

A decent pub for a drink and a bite to eat, it has a wide spectrum of beer and prosecco comes in mini bottles.

I am a support worker with a special group of beautiful people, we visit pubs every Friday afternoon, the marlow donkey was very welcoming and friendly we will visit again definitely thank you from the PUB PALS

Beer was ok, the lady that did the quiz was lovely and friendly, but the food was the worst abomination of cheap, frozen, deep fried and microwaved rubbish I’ve ever had the misfortunate to be served. Do not come along hungry.

Depends what day you are here really.. sometimes really good and sometimes not so much. Staff are generally really nice but there is one who needs to work on his customer service skills !!

Good service plenty of space and very welcoming. We usually stop at this establishment when mooring below Marlow lock.Menu is really good and reasonably priced

Had lunch yesterday with wife. Being a visitor to the area for a month, the Donkey fit our lunch desires perfectly! Choosing from a wide array of menu items, I chose the beef-ale pie and it was hot, presented beautifully, and generously portioned. The atmosphere is traditional pub, very clean and offers a wide variety of liquid refreshment. My wife had gammon and eggs also served hot, beautifully, and with hearty portions. We will be back and if you are looking for a solid pub experience in the Marlow area, the Donkey is a great choice!

Very good customer service and serve a nice cold pint, food this time round was very nice but waited close to an hour but worth the wait.

Quick service. Value for money. Breakfast was delicous apart from hash brown, dont think they had any potatoe in it.

Food was fine but the service was extremely slow, also when I went to order drinks at the counter I stood for 5 minutes being ignored until I gave up and walked out.

We had a lovely lunch here with friends in their pub garden. The garden is a nice size and the food lovely. We were looked after beautifully by Sharon, who ensured everything was to our satisfaction without interrupting our meal. We will definitely visit again soon.

A very standard menu not helped by the fact that on the day we went (Mondaythe fish and chips was unavailable. I opted for the scampi which was bland. My son had a burger which was average. Greene King pub so pricing is fair for the average food. Rebellion beer on tap is a plus. Atmosphere is quiet as it was a Monday. Staff are excellent, polite, friendly, warm and unobtrusive.

Went for the lunch time special of rump steak toastie with salad and chips n a glass of rosy for just over £7. it was absolutely yummy and huge, so couldnt do it justice n had to leave quite a bit unfortunately. The staff were great too. Going again next week with another friend, cant wait.

Lovely pub. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the food was lovely. I had a southern fried chicken burger and I have to say it was the nicest Ive ever eaten, both taste and texture. My husband had katsu curry and he said it was excellent. Will definitely go again if were ever Marlow. Thanks guys x

Fantastic. First time back since full lockdown lift and had a lovely very reasonably priced lunch. Arrived quickly and nice and hot. Nice polite friendly staff. Favourite place for good food.

Food is what you would expect from a pub, reasonably priced and an easy decision for a spot of lunch. Big garden out the back which is lovely in the sun with ample area for shade if too hot.Staff are friendly and provide a quick service. Simon was particularly nice and very attentive.

Things seem to have gone downhill at this Pub, mostly short of staff, ordered a burger today. Chips are dry and there is blood on the food tray, clearly cross contamination. Such a shame, used to be good and I had always praised it for quality and service in my past reviews. Also, that empty glass was there from previous customer and no one had bothered to remove and clean the table.

Lovely chain pub, very busy with a good vibe. I have history with the old Marlow Donky & enjoyed my stay in this fantastic location. The pub is a Britsop suitable for smaller vans within easy reach of the station, the town & Higginson Park with its leisure centre & Thames side location. The staff at the pub are great I would like to give particular thanks to Megan the duty manager when I arrived. Despite being incredibly busy she found time to welcome me, have a chat & ensure that my dietary requirements were met. 😎😎

On the Cask Marque Ale Trail but there is little to show it, even though an assessment review had recently been passed with distinction. No plaque outside or certificate inside and the staff had only a vague awareness.This place gets lively if you want a quiet drink, pick your moment with care.

We DJed here last weekend for Georges birthday and had a great night. Staff were really helpful and everyone was super friendly and up for a party. Our kind of joint!

I visited the Marlow Donkey for my Christmas do a few weeks ago.CUSTOMER SERVICE: There were both good and bad parts to this. The table service was very good and was done very well. The table service team was nice and very prompt with the food. Visiting the bar was slightly different. I think there should have been more than two person in the bar so as to help limit waiting times. On two occasions we were waiting for over 15 minutes to make our orders. I see this as an issue for them because we were ordering drinks for about 18 people with bottles on wine one top. If it wasnt for the do we would have left.FOOD : the food was really good and every one enjoyed it. The desserts were also simple but very very well done and well presented.Overall the experience was good. A few subtle changes can make the experience that much better.
