The Market Tavern in Stoke-on-Trent

We visited the place on a Monday evening wanting to try English beer and the atmosphere of an English pub. We were not disappointed.

Landlords can’t even run a pub. Been offered drugs in the toilets and told the bar staff and they didn’t even do anything!!! Do not go this pub if you want to get accused of lying. Expensive drinks ride staff and landlords. If there was a minus review I would!! Simon and Nat need the sack they can’t even run a pub never mind a relationship!!!!!

Reasonably priced and good fun. A nice crowd of friendly punters

What a joke of a pub.Ask for a half get given and pay for a pint.Ask for golden ale get given Guinness.Why they didn’t give me fosters as I didn’t ask for that either.Won’t be coming back here.

Landlord is power mad and extremely rude spoke to my elderly father like a piece of dirt and swear + manhandled him when he questioned what her problem was? A truly shocking unessacery experience ☹ I wouldnt recommend and Im currently reporting to the council

Absolutely shocking service from these people. Avoid at all costs. They would let me in becausr of covid, there was room. I yold them a previous landlord was, Mr Kenny Stevens. They bad mouthed him, saying hes been dead for a while. Ssying thats got nothing do with them. Absolutely shocking. I hope someone decent takes it over. Because these guys are something else. You should be ashamed

The landlady dawn is is rude never smiles and very insulting and the pub is dirty especially the toilets and not just the womens toilets I have heard off other people the mens toilets are just as bad.

The best place to go on a Monday atmosphere is great they have karoke on and its brilliant. Lots of different age groups and quite a few singers.

Some people are a Bit rough but its OK, had no problems. Good pint.

There were to many people arguing in there when I went to visit. Felt sorry for the security man on the door with been on is own. But he handled it realy well.

Good pub now it used to be a rough place fight night every night but the new management have now got rid of the scum and now everyone is friendly and a good night is had by all

My first time going to the Market Tarven on Monday and I have to say that its a lovely pub! Brilliant atmosphere and the people there are really friendly! The drinks are great there as well. Definitely be going there again. ☺️
