The Manor Estate in Oamaru

The property is managed by Liz Heeman and she is a wonderful woman, very generous. The property was neat and clean and our room was an extravaganza affair and was full of royalty. The garden was beautiful and well maintained. The stay was a pleasant experience.The only con was a bathroom was not attached to the room.

Estaba todo perfecto. La cama era muy cómoda y tenía todo el equipamiento de invierno, dos radiadores y manta eléctrica. En el baño nos dejó toallas y jabón/champú. El desayuno maravilloso (cereales, cafe/te, tostadas con mantequilla/mermelada/crema cacahuete, fruta, yogurt).La host nos ofreció también la cocina si necesitamos usarla y durante el desayuno nos dio recomendaciones de la zona y de los sitios que íbamos a ir a visitar.La ubicación es buena, está en lo alto de una montaña y tiene unas bonitas vistas de la ciudad, necesario ir en coche al centro de la ciudad.

Such a memorable stay! Manor was amazing, enchanting & so cosy. Liz was a fantastic host. The beds were so comfortable. Our rooms were so warm & inviting. Our son loved it so much too, especially the breakfast. Well worth the money, thanks Liz.

The Best !!!!.

Our host was attentive and made sure we had everything we need and was ready to offer suggestions on where to go and eat. We had a room on the ground floor. It was clean but overstuffed with nicnacs, throw pillows and other decorative things which did not add anything to the room. The real down side was how the definition of “private bathroom” was stretched. There was a bathroom and it was ours but we had to cross the dining room to get to it. Being no fan of saying hello to strangers before I had a chance to shower it really was a downer for me. Breakfast was decent (juice, drip coffee or tea, cereals and toastsbut lacking in protein.Overall for a one night stay it was OK and location was convenient for us. Our host definitely did her best to make our stay the best she could which is a real redeeming quality for the place.
