Great place to go with your friends amd have a great night out I perfer it now than before now its a cocktail bar down stairs inter of a restaurant and great DJ ver much recommend.

Great atmosphere, reasonably priced drinks. I ordered the beef ribs which took an hour and were tasteless. The sauce that was added tasted store bought and very average. A friend had the pork ribs which were equally tasteless. The burgers coming out of the kitchen looked good though! Come here for a beer but don’t bother getting a feed.

Stopped in here for lunch on our way south. It happened to be Valentines Day :- There was only 1 girl serving for a while and she did an excellent job as people were coming in and ordering. We both thoroughly enjoyed our lunch in a lovely setting in the outside area.

Where to eat dinner in Warwick?The Malthouse was excellent, a bit slow on service but other than that, I can highly recommend the place.Food was beautiful, beer was cold!

Good feed, great atmosphere

The waitress’s attitude was so bad.We told her that we need some plate to share, but she said “there is a plate!” The plate she mentioned was placed bottom of the sweet potatoes bowl. And my friend doesn’t wanna complain it to her and she used it after wiping herself.I gave only one star because sweet potato wedges were good. I do not recommend other meals and I think the staff should improve their service quality.

Terrific beef ribs. Great steaks and good side meal options. Make an awesome. Long island iced tea. Lovely fit out throughout building. Great for big groups also

Really nice industrial and unique decor and friendly staff. Wings were pretty good and portions were generous. Steak was just ok a bit chewy, sadly.

Our booked table for 8 was given away to 3 people 20 mins before our booking making us wait outside for 1 hour before offering to serve us outside. After giving in to sitting in the cold our food took another hour to arrive and one meal was forgotten adding 20mins to the wait. When talking to the manager at the pay counter he was rude, unapologetic and blamed his kitchen staff for all the problems (for all intents this was not their fault the food was great). Managing staff obviously have no idea how to run a restaurant and we do not recommend the malthouse to anyone staying warrick, there are much nicer restaurants to pick from.

YUM! We all enjoyed our meals & desserts. Our 2 teenage boys loved the doubled up Malthouse burger. Love the decor and service was great too. We have been a few times now and never been disappointed.

Funky little place with a cool atmosphere and some AWESOME drink specials. Rooftop setup is ridiculously fabulous. Im running out of positive words but its great.

Unfortunately I didnt catch her name, but this five star review goes to the hostess that was feeding table 1 at 6pm 09/06. She showed exceptional customer service, knowledge and was pleasant to be around. I havent had someone so exuberant in a very long time. A real asset to the place. Food was also delicious.

We enjoyed our dinner at the Malthouse. Very welcoming place after a long days travel, the meals are well presented, generous and very tasty! We will recommend to our friends.

The rooftop bar is an awesome idea! But we believe my dad got food poisoning from the Carbonara and the poor ol waitress couldnt crack a smile to save her life. But hey the burgers are good.

Was passing through town and stopped in for lunch. We were impressed.The menu is well priced and the portions are decent! The drinks list is pretty long too. Food came out pretty quick and quantity was matched with quality. We sat upstairs which was pretty relaxed.Would recommend.

Food was okay however having to wait an hour and a half for it ruined the experience. Staff seemed confused and stressed. They lost our drinks order and the meal orders for 2 tables near us. The venue looks great but unfortunately is let down by poor service.

Ribs were nice, beer schooner size was 500ml. Staff super friendly. Only downer was desert not fresh and all bought produce.

Very surprised.Prices were fair, food excellent. Chicken was moist and ribs were good for American BBQ which Im not generally a fan of.Decor is well done and quirky enough to keep you interested.

Hubby and I stopped in on our way back from Stanthorpe and really enjoyed our lunch. Staff were friendly and meals were amazing with generous servings.The atmosphere was pleasant. We will definitely stop in again.

Service was.not good. Over 40 minutes for.a.burger. The.meat was so spiced I couldnt.taste the meat on a huge.mound of slaw.and.a gravy. Onion rings..no dipping sauce until I asked.for.some. Solo.out of a jar. Far from.satisfactory

Great looking little place we came in on the past weekend after spending 5 hours in the car we were seated outside in the heat whilst inside was empty we were greeted by a miserable waitress clearly there was an issue between the staff you could have cut the tension in the air with a knife when ordering the girl was clearly thinking about something else and our order was incorrect once ready our food was great apart from the lack of attention from the waitress it could have been 5 stars but the staff let our experience down

Asian salad with chicken I ordered was bland and tasteless. I asked for some dressing to to fix it and they wanted to charge me $3 extra. They dropped it to $1.50 after I complained, but thats still not good enough in my book, having to pay extra just to make my meal enjoyable.

The restaurant looks nice outside and inside but the service is below average the southern style chicken burger I ordered was nothing to be excited about it was bland and had next to no sauce on it, and the gravy that came with the meal was also bland. Wont be going back anytime in the near future.

The venue has lovely decor. A warm and welcoming industrial theme inside with a lovely greenhouse eating area outside. However, that is were the praise ends. The service was sub par and the food bland. I ordered the Vegan Veggie Burger and the bun was soggy when it arrived and the pattie had hardly any seasoning. I also could hardly taste the sweet chilli sauce that was described in the menu. Very disappointing. The only thing I enjoyed about the meal was the chips and sauce that were served on the side. The were crunchy and well seasoned and the sauce very tasty. However, overall I was very disappointed with the experience.

Fantastic food. Good value

The service is exceptional. Hanna was fantastic, reserved a table for the 8 of us, spoke us through the menu and looked after us very well. The space is great. The interior design is really cool. The food was tremendous, everybodys stakes cooked to perfection. I highly recommend.

Really cool fit out. Service was a little clunky. Portions were massive and the flavours good. Had sliders - and ate more of them than I should’ve which is a good sign. Meals were delivered quickly - out in 20 minutes - for lunch, so nice and snappy.

Wow what an absolute disappointment. Went in for the tiered breakfast 19/8 and wasnt great from the start. Made a booking a week earlier but the booking didnt exist not that it matter there were 2 tables occupied. we sat at half 8 ordered maybe 10mins later. Coffees literally came out cold after just being made around 9.05. The 2 other tables ordered the same as us and their food came out while we waited. First table finished their meal before the pancake tier arrived. They were literally ready to go when they arrived and that was after asking the waitress where it was. We ordered for 4ppl and got 1 platter. Consisting of 2 small bean serves, maybe one mushroom cut into 6 slices, 4 hashbrowns, eggs, maybe 3 rinds of bacon, toast, chorizo, 3 slices of avo and 1 tomato cut in half, spinach none of them cooked fresh spinach fresh tomato cold bacon. After questioning when the second one was coming out we were told that was 4 serves and the chef had forgot to add the rest and had compd us 1 person, but dont actually bother to tell us that until we had sat there waiting for more food to come out. So each person then got 1 slice of avo and half or half a tomato and the rest. Didnt arrive until 9.40, we ate and got out at 10am. 1.5hrs for 3 tables all eating the same meals with the same basics. Cannot convey my disappointment. Talked to the manager as there was no way I was paying $20 per person for what we received and no fight ensued. We probably werent the only complaint. Only words being talked about here are disappointing. The waitress needs to put a smile on her face and pick up the pace, we should have walked the first moment we got attitude. Lucky for you guys you dont wear nametags but can understand why now. She shouldnt be working weekends. The garden shop will be happy to have us back. Just ridiculous.

Nice venue aesthetic. We were told we would be waiting 30-40 mins, took an hour at about half maximum occupancy. Prices were decent for reasonable food. Our waitress seemed apathetic and low energy. If not for the waitress and the wait which didnt seem all that justifiable, Im sure our experience would have been 4-5 star. Nice place and decent food.

Staff forgot to take our order and we were sitting there for 40 minutes and eventually had to call them over despite the fact that they weren’t even overly busy. Two of us ordered the veggie burger which on their menu said ‘veggie patty’ but when the burgers came out, they were basically a bun with some mixed lettuce leaves, slices of tomato and a mushy baby food substance like sauce. Very disappointed as I loved everything about Warwick except this place and I strongly disagree with false advertising.

Good food, first complaint Ive had about the shear quantity you get just for something like a burger. (Its too much)The restraunt is also accessible for wheelchairs on the first floor. This is considerably good considering this is in Warwick where not too many places are actually accessible.

I stopped here on the way through town for lunch. Wasnt sure what to expect but the building had caught my eye on a previous trip through to Armidale. Its a well decorated restaurant, offering great value and huge burgers! Ill definitely try stop by on future road trips.

Look, the atmosphere is great but that’s about as far as it goes.Table of 4 - 2 had steak sandwiches, 1 had calamari and the other had the chicken burger.The steak was cold, I mean, I actually thought it was just the salad until I touched the steak and found it was cold to touch. The 2nd steak sandwich was also cold. The calamari is okay, also cool, but still flavoursome so that wasn’t too bad. The southern chicken burger was pretty good.Service - it started great but the attention of waitstaff to get 2nd/3rd drinks was a bit of a chore. Was also a tad slow, arrived at 12 and finally served mains just after 1. There were only 3 tables in being attended too. The male waiter was friendly and wasn’t too bad, the female seemed to want to be anywhere but there.Similar service on the last time we attended too.

The female bartender was unbelievably rude to an older waitress who was our primary server . She was knowledgeable and helpful and brought us drinks when we asked and offered dessert. By the time we left, our waitress( older ladywas the only one helping customers and the female bartender rang a handbell every time to call the waitress over. She was the only person she treated this poorly and rudely. Although after spending and hour and a half with the female bartender the male bartender was no longer smiling or seemed happy to be there. We wont ever go back with such an unpleasant and rude person behind the bar. She should be embarrassed of how she treats people.

My friend and I are here in warick for work, been doing some restoration work at a heritage listed building for three weeks now, donno if it was because I was a person of colour eating inside... or something else. But when we had first sat down and got our order taken, we were the first few people in the restaurant/bar, took 30 minuets to get our order taken, then another hour for our meals to be severed, that being said there we 3 too 4 other tables that had arrived after us (that had more then 3 people per tablethat were being severed their food. Very unsatisfived with the service. Bar the young lady that had forgotten part of my meal and served me a free drink in compensation. Over all the food came out warm (not hot/fresh). My friend didn’t even finish his meal because he had said that most of it was cold. Maybe should work on their customer service a little more considering your paying $30-$50 for a meal (per person), plus my friend and I had already paid close to $100 in drinks just waiting for our meal. P.s won’t be going back there anytime at all, very disappointed.

Great atmosphere. Easter Friday special seafood platter, great value, prawns, lobster, squid, Moreton bay bugs, smoked salmon, sea scallops, oysters natural and Kilpatrick plus 2 coronas. $60.

Gorgeous atmosphere, fantastic sky deck under the stars. Smoking deck off to the side, with toilets upstairs too so youre not having to walk up and down stairs every time you need the loo. Lovely staff and security, all very helpful and welcoming.

This place looked great from the outside and the decor inside was just as great. I thought I was in for a treat. Staff were friendly, however seemed slightly confused with the job. Both my partner and I ordered steaks and the meat was of poor quality and you could taste it. I ordered med rare eye fillet - one side was medium and the rest well done? How does this even happen! Chips were cold on the plate and the coleslaw was flavourless. Wish I had kept going

Good quality food for decent price. Classic, fried chicken and brisket sliders were great.

Was a regular customer for quite some time and enjoyed myself but in recent times they have seemed to change their ethics and quality of service after coming here week after week and eating food with friends on the rooftop its was to my shock when I was told that only a small section of menu would be available upstairs (entreesand that they were fully booked downstairs. I accepted this and asked nicely if I could just place normal order and just have it upstairs this was not an option and was forced to leave to purchase myself dinner elsewhere I was very upset after being a long time devoted customer but obviously these things just dont matter to the management

Do yourself a favour and bypass the takeaway joints - stop here instead. We stopped in for a quick bite - they fast tracked the kids meals and then packaged up everything they couldnt eat for later on. I had a burger - it was large and quite tasty. The chips were okay but were made tasty by the pepper/gravy sauce that came with them. A great place to stop for lunch.

Malthouse is a faux-rustic style steakhouse that is well-suited to larger family groups and parties. Its noisy, convivial and convenient, with decent food served efficiently, but unfortunately a little hit-and-miss on the quality.The upper area of Malthouse is an open air bar, TV area and good place to socialise. To me it screams happy after-work drinkies with friends and also looks like it would have an awesome atmosphere for sporting events. It overlooks the highway and has an appealing cubbyhouse feel.Downstairs is the main food service area, with mostly larger tables. Booking ahead is advisable as peak times can be extremely busy.Sadly, the place seems chronically understaffed. The wait staff are excellent and friendly, and somehow manage to get everyone seated, fed and watered while still smiling, but every time I sit there I cant help but feel sorry for them. I also wonder when theyll burn out and leave.The same goes for the kitchen staff. They do their best but given the volume of food theyre expected to pump out the quality can be a bit hit and miss. Ive had potatoes come out somewhat undercooked and the steaks Ive had here have varied between truly excellent and mediocre.There are also a few other little tells that suggest this is a place primarily for making money for the owner rather than someones dream project. The menu is as dull as its possible to be - it serves steaks, ribs, burgers, a couple of other standard mains and desserts that are probably the same as at any of ten thousand similar places around the world, and most of the components probably come in the same packaging. Likewise, most of the decor is plastic or stuck on.In short, Malthouse is a fabulous place for a knees-up or family gathering: its convenient, cheerful and efficient, and after a couple of drinks you wont care about the plastic plants. If youre a bit of a foodie there are far better places around. It could be a lot more than it is.

Love the atmosphere and the food is amazing. The burgers are huge and oh so delicious. Can work a bit on the service side (like get another patronthe poor girl was running around like crazy trying to get to everyone. But handled it very well.

It was our first date night ever of 11 years together we were disappointed that it was a lunch menu not a dinner menu for example no entrees selection. Then to top it off the USA rib sauce was sickeningly strong. Then when I ordered a Medium rare steak I recieved a medium to well done steak the waitress was lovely and got me a steak cooked to medium rare for it to be a Blue steak that I then recieved luckily I do eat blue steak. The place has some beautiful features but I wont be quick to run back as the menu was not at all exciting. Thank you to the wait staff for being so polite well done to you girls. To the chef from another chef " If in doubt throw it out, dont send it out".

Great restaurant and bar with a good menu and decent range of beers available. Although the building is new, the decor fits in with the country lifestyle and my first though was that it was a recent renovation of an old house. Well done to all involved.

Nicely set up restaurant, with outdoor area. Dont sit outside if traffic noise is going to be a problem.Staff were prompt with the service and friendly.Good range of food on the menu, the food and Prices suit the areas economics and are competitive.Steak was a bit over done. If you like medium rare get rare. Not unusual for most restaurants that serve steak.

Excellent! - Food, The Service, Decor and The Staff were excellent. Dropped in for Lunch. Ordered the 400gram Rump cooked Rare with just Coleslaw and the Blue Cheese Sauce - Quick, perfectly cooked, great presentation and really YUM! Thank you The Malthouse - I will be back with my crew!

Food was very good, resonable price, came to the table in good time. The place was very nice, different and well appointed. Yes, the service was slow from the bar, but they will learn (I hope). The bar upstairs could easily become a great meeting place for friends after work.

Food was great. Decor and atmosphere were cool. Customer service was terrible they need to up their game in terms of table service. Meals and drinks orders were taken promptly and delivered promptly but some wait staff were rude and pushy. Not a pleasant experience. Especially when there are so many other great places to eat in Warwick.
