A real gem of a place that specialises in real ale beers. Definitely worth a visit. Small inside the bar, seating for around 18 people. Outside seating also available but only if the weather permits.

Great traditional local pub. No music, juke box, tv or mobile ‘phones. So you talk, listen and enjoy proper beers, lagers, ciders and speciality drinks. Cosy, like pubs used to be. Loads of Camra awards and terrific beer festivals. Love it 😍

Good pub, good quality real ale, friendly staff and customers. Very clean plus a good range of lagers, ciders. Well worth a visit.

A great choice of beers, a friendly pub, mobile phone free, so nice to sit and chat. The barmaid is friendly and can tell you all about the different drinks, if you need any help choosing what to order. Very clean facilities, and comfortable interior, as well as outside seating during warmer weather

Carol was delightfully friendly. A small and cozy good old fashioned boozer, the perfect stop whilst waiting for a train.

Great for real ale lovers - mobile phones are prohibited, well speaking on them is. Weird policy considering its 2022 but apart from that its a nice cozy little pub 👍

Fantastic beers and incredibly friendly locals. Very small room, so our group of 5 were forced to share tables with prior arrivals, which turned out to be a good thing.Beware the opening times - closed down at 9.30 on a Saturday.

Landlord was very good to us after our connection train we were supposed to catch was cancelled. Gave us very warm welcome.

Hoested by the lovely Carol, always ready with a smile and a cheerie welcome. Great craft beers and ciders, warm in winter cool in summer what more could you ask for, when we visit Worksop its the only place that we have a refreshment. THE MALLARD, FIRST CLASS.

Stopped in on my way home from Mansfield. This is a great little place with some lovely clientele and its great to see all covid guidelines being followed 👍 will definitely visit again if Im waiting for a train at Worksop and I recommend that anyone else in the area does too😁

This little pub is a hidden gem.Wayne is a great host and takes great care of his customers,his advice on ales is second to none and also he remembers what beers you like and offers suggestions.His covid measures are great and he has created a space that allows people to social distance and he has changed to table service,hand cleansing is widely available and he has the now obligatory paper register for tracing,also the pub is very well ventilated which seems to be an issue well not here.

Great place indeed .. Lovely selection of real beers in a historical setting ..The hygene is first class during this period ...meets all criteria above and beyond ...Also no mobile phones great to escape all the modern day ...bleeps n peeps..

Stank, turned 180 and walked straight out. I don’t care how good the beer is I would rather sit in the fresh air on the platform and drink a can.

Nice little watering hole conveniently placed on the platform for a swift ale before the train.

Real surprise to find such a great micro at Worksop station. Cosy, friendly, plenty of banter. And most of all, fantastic beers!

Just perfect. Small, old style railway station bar. Ales really good. Pleasant atmosphere. If I commuted to Worksop Id definitely be stopping for a relaxing after work beer while waiting for my train. Dont ever change it, it cant be improved upon.

Excellent beer, excellent cozy and quirky proper little boozer thats positioned on the train station platform. Even mobile use is banned inside the pub. Friendly and professional old school bar staff. Not many of these places left now unfortunately. Only negative is that its small but this is also a positive as it makes it more atmospheric and cozy. Probably the best pub in Workshop if you like real ale and a cosy pubs.

Excellent pub. Staff and clientele friendly to strangers and the beer was first class too. No children allowed but dogs are - another bonus! And no TV or music blaring in the background. Recommended!

Great beers, good relaxed and friendly atmosphere. You can actually see your train arriving as you finish your drink. Never miss a train and never have to leave your drink unfinished. Perfect!!

Always a great welcome. I live 240 miles away now but call in when in the area.Great ales, great people and great conversation. What is there not to like?

Always a really good place to have a pint. Not the kind of pub where you have a thousand TVs blaring out the same sound. You can actually sit down, talk and enjoy a drink in here. And the beers are great.

Right on the platform at Worksop station. Some interesting rail photos around and superbly kept beer. Friendly staff and customers. Very small in the bar area, but could imagine it being cozy in the winter.

Great pub! Worth a trip just to come here and they have a few beer festivals too. No kids and you have to go outside to make or answer phone calls. Bliss!

Not the kind of person who usually leaves reviews not this is the worst pub Ive ever been in. I actually left my pint and went over the road to another pun I felt that uncomfortable. The bar staff were rude and it was like walking in to a pub from an odd horror movie. Avoid at all costs. I suspect if you stay long enough you will become one of them. Pretty sure they were eyeing me up to either eat me or sacrifice me. 100% the most bizarre place Ive ever been. If youre catching a train, get on the train. Dont look back. After going across the road the the Station hotel, I said to the landlord " are you normal in here?". Immediately asking me if Id been to the Mallard. Says it all. I have children. Im so glad I got out with my life.
