The Magnetic Hill in Moncton

Went early in the day on a weekday and it was empty. Really strange and interesting phenomenon. Definitely a visit if you are in the area

Interesting optical illusion. Feels odd going up hill backwards. Dont hit the brakes unless you have too. Probably will reverse the rest of the way.

Interesting phenomenum to see if you are nearby. The history panels are the best part. The worst is the pseudo-Maritime village with all closed stores.

Very cool attraction. Lots to see and do at the amusement park. Driving up/ down the hill was an amazing experience

Very interesting experience. Its a very short attraction if theres no line up to get it. We were in and out in about 30 minutes. Not very expensive from what I remember and if youre in the area its definitely worth the visit. Its one of those things youll remember forever.

Waste of time and money.Currently on a drive across the country, started in the Yukon. Worst paid "attraction" Ive been too. The waterpark around it seems nice so go do that, dont bother paying the $6 to roll on down a hill.

Ok so you know the deal… optical illusion for sure but still fun to do. $6 gets a giggle and it’s worth it.The village was cool with very eclectic offerings . The staff all smiled and visited with our dogs

Its a real thing, the optical illusion, but the way they ask you to experience it is rubbish (staying inside your vehicle and then rolling your car backwards "up the hill"and the price point for doing so absurdly high. It should be done on foot with water, bouncy balls etc. I think your average punter, especially ones who dont know what to look for/expect, will be underwhelmed.

Good educational field trip for anyone.

This is the first thing we did after checking in at Moncton.We were excited and wanted to see if it really happened.Waited in line till it was our turn - there are directions what to do and thats all you have to do.However after putting my car in neutral nothing happened- realized my parking brake was on.Released it and the car started moving backwards.We were thrilled and could not conceal our excitement.If you happen to be in Moncton go and experience it for yourself.You will not be disappointed!!!

As long as you do it correctly its a crowd pleaser to the young ones in the car.Make sure to follow the directions. Do not put your car in reverse or turn your car around at the base of the hill.

Backed my 10 passenger up the hill in neutral! It wasnt very far. For six dollars I wish we had done it twice while we were in the zone.

Lots of things to do besides unraveling the magnetic hill - zoo, waterpark, etc. Bring a carpenters "level" when you go here or use your phone to check the ground level. *hint!

Hill was okay, not worth the price I thinkJust go to the village or parks

Worth the trip. Still amazes me. It was fun. No line so that was cool too.

Give me my $6 back. Seriously. Drove up to the top, putting car in neutral along the way thinking something special was to happen…Just drove up turned around, drove back down. I had to ask the guide what I just did.Here are your instructions:1-Drive up to white pole (1/4 way up)2- Get on left side of drive.3- Put in neutral.4- Roll backwards.5- Exit.What a grab.

The hill itself isnt great. Something to check off a list to say you did something interesting. The illusion of going uphill is seen best at the end because of the angle of the road I guess.That being said there is a Waterpark and some other interesting things built around the hill to extend the experience. We got there too late so didnt venture into it.

Well maintained and fun. Dont spoil the fun by researching how it works... more fun that way🤗

I suppose I shouldnt be surprised someone would charge $6/car to gently roll down a hill, but whoever they are, they got my cash fair and square. Extra star for the lady in the ditch that got pulled off the road by all the magnets.

So much fun things to do and explore. Beautiful spot for the whole family to enjoy.

Just went here the other day and it was such a crazy experience! The illusion is unique and so cool! Would definitely recommend others to visit if they are in New Brunswick.

Neat effect and cool area. A bit touristy but fun, including the village. Payment for the hill area seemed silly but was not a large amount.

Pretty unique place to visit and it wasn’t too busy for us on Canada Day. Just be mindful of other visitors and you’ll have a pretty neat time. It isn’t anything mind-boggling but cool nonetheless. It’s unfortunate that you have to pay to enter though. Maybe in the future, (and I’m just reaching here), if this place becomes famous enough, a national park status would be nice.

I was feeling that it would be nice to add to my bike trip. Haha, a Magic trip around the Mountain eh? Where I could see bys playing, swimming, playing mini-golf, go-karting and more! Although my photos this trip were just down on the wharf eh? Yes by. A buddy and I were there before and had ourselves a nice bite but no pictures. Well that changed eh? Heres just a few but yeah, more are coming soon because its definitely a nice trip.Up the road (or down the way, I guessfrom the casino and past the bridge. Its definitely a cool spot to stop!

Childhood memories relived. This time, seems to be badly organized. Should let the car go all the way back up the hill before another car should start. Most of the time people cant back their car all the way up and ruin it for the next person. Also $6 is a bit high for what it is. Should be $3 per trip or $5 to go twice would be nice.

Pretty trippy experience on The Magnetic Hill. Highly suggest pulling off the highway to see this for yourself if you have some extra time when passing this attraction or in the area.

Was only expecting to see Magnetic Hill. Didnt know there was so much to see and do there when we arrived. Friendly people. Great place... will recommend...

We only went to Magnetic Hill but you could definitely spend all day here with the family if you want to do the zoo and waterpark. Seems like a great spot. The illusion was definitely worth a visit.

Does as advertised! The car got up to about 20km/h, going "up" the hill, backwards, in neutral. Just watch out for people who dont know how to keep their steering wheel straight! Yeeeeshhh. Also lots of cute shops for souvenirs, a zoo, waterpark, restaurants, and a little covered bridge and "wharf".

Yeah this is pretty cool. I kind of want to dig up the road to see whats going on.

Awesome. Not sure how but it worked. We got up to 19km/hr in neutral pulled up hill backwards in an suv. Happy times.

the hill itself is a quick and fun experience but there is a lot more fun to be found here (including a zoo and a Waterparkwe went on the hill twice, once in reverse and the other time facing forward. such a trip. looks like youre facing up a hill but you actually roll as if going downhill. fun experience.

Interesting place for everyone. Only did the hill and the warf area. But the rest of the area looks great for a day trip.

Okay geniuses - why cant you just go and experience it for what it is instead of ruining it for everyone. Its a surreal feeling to have your 4 ton truck being dragged up the hill. Only a few places in the world offer this illusion so you might as well enjoy it when youre in the neighbourhood.The staff working there are pleasant and welcoming. You can even repeat as often as you like to left you try and figure out the illusion. Even though infographics explain the phenomenon as something to do with not seeing the horizon, your eyes still try to fool you and thats part of the fun of it.

What an amazing first time experience for me! The animals were SO active and it wasnt too busy when I went! I highly recommend this zoo! Its not too big, but big enough to cover the animals we all love!

Beautiful park and definitely the hill is magical.. If you put your car in neutral it actually goes upward in downward Hill. So cool to see that. Must do this activity if you have kids in age 5 to 10 years.

Interesting, but not a must-do. We enjoyed seeing it as it was on our way to other adventures, but I wouldnt recommend going out of your way for it.Pros:- Only $6 per car- We went in the off season so we could pass through three or four times uninterrupted- Interesting optical illusion, and brochure to explain how it worksCons:- Only lasts a minute- Exit was a bit tricky to find

So much fun! Kids had a blast, we got to tell them all about the "giant magnet" in the hill. Would definitely suggest stopping by if your driving through the area.

I have been coming here since I was a kid. I love it! A bunch of slides to choose from, huge wave pool, lazy river, snacks and you can even get a all in one wristband and go to the arcade or mini golfing or on the amusement rides. So much fun!!

Newly renovated shops and attractions. Fun for all ages. Adults have your car pulled uphill by the magnetic hill. Lots of local produce from art to tasty treats. Cafe, candy store, souvenirs, and more.

A well known and liked Moncton attraction. A small charge is required (years ago it was free). There is a theme park here.
