The Lula Inn - Bar in Auckland, New Zealand
Had a farewell dinner here & couldn’t recommend it enough - atmosphere & views were amazing & staff were awesome! Very kind & accommodating to our group 😁
Very expensive drinks, otherwise it would be 5 stars, 30 dollars for 2 beers Id a bit much, lovely view out of the back seating though.
Love the place, James is the best bartender ever! Making sure we arnt running out of mimosas at bottomless brunch
Had bottemless brunch. Terrible experience didnt get served food until after 1 hour. Only had 3 drinks served in two hours. Not a bottemless experience.
Booked a work function here and it was great. Excellent views and a really nice spot. Snack plates were of a very high standard and the service was good. Definitely recommend for small work functions.
I love the vibe!! Its so tropical and planty, with the best view, definitely a place Im coming back to. Food was delicious and the service was friendly and punctual. If there was one thing that could be better, Id say my gin cocktail tasted really watered down, I think there was too much ice that melted quickly and I didnt really enjoy it as much as I wanted to. But everything else was perfect 🥰
This place is one my staples because of the location, live music, ambiance and gin menu! Usually go here for drinks rather than dinner but when I do have food its not a bad experience. Featured is the fat chips and smoked chicken wings with miso and black garlic. Wasnt a fan of the miso and black garlic flavours so wouldnt order it again. Shouldve just ordered the four cheese pizza which is to die for! Recently tried the dumplings and can confirm Im not a fan but the karage chicken is delish. Ive been to the bottomless brunch here and I cant really say it was the best experience. On my most recent one we had to ask for refills and it wasnt even busy so not sure why this was the case but the bottomless brunches Ive been to elsewhere ensure that your glass is never empty. My meal was alright - the corn hash was difficult to cut and the "salad" didnt really make sense. We needed to order two sides of fries since the meals were so light.
We booked bottomless brunch for a ladies get together. We had James as our server, he was incredible, very attentive, great customer service, very patient with a great smile and personality to boot. Food was fantastic, I had eggs bene and it was done to perfection. Great location, great view. Unlimited Mimosas and Bloody Marys started our weekend with a bang. Loved it!!!!! We will be back.
Amazing location but the waitress seem to have an issue with me. Very weird. Give the bar manager a PAY RISE
First time at the Lula Inn and the food and drinks for bottomless brunch was great! Alex was super friendly and she made our experience an awesome one, would definitely come again :)
Thoroughly njoyed our Bottomless drinks brunch...very friendly and attentive staff. Meals were scrumptious though it was a smaller serving than I expected, but the music drinks and company made up for it.Lively atmosphere and it allowed for outdoor seating as well. +++for service.
The Lula Inn is in a very good location, with great views over the harbour. The cocktails cost $16-20, and a bottle of wine $45-50. The staff were very friendly and helpful.Definitely worth a visit.
I just can not say enough about Nico,,he was SO MUCH FUN! He was the best waiter I have ever come across. So fun and involved with the staff and customers. He made our day. Thanks Nico!
Was really good food but i got discriminated against. i’m an 18 and a half year old female australian, i have an australian form of government photo issued identification, i went to the bar to get a drink and got dismissed, i was told it’s not valid, i wasn’t allowed to order another drink after that. same man came to the table to check everyone else’s IDs who i was with, then muttered under his breath “f**k*** b**** to which 3 people heard. really horrible customer service and i felt very targeted. his attitude ruined a special family reunion that had been planned for a long time.
Really great atmosphere and decor. Amazing views off the back deck. There are lots of local craft beers and international beers on tap, along with a great range of delicious cocktails. There was a live band playing when we were here, and they were really talented and entertaining. Great venue.
Half full, but told reservations only. However, we observed drunk groups of 20s going in without even being asked. Avoid this place if you just want to go for a couple of quite drinks and a meal. Oozes pretension. Danny Doolins over the road is a better bet and much less pretentious.
Great environment but the fried chicken could be little bit more salty😋the Boy with Pink hair provided model services 😊💯Love the cocktails as well🍹
Very nice atmosphere. Lots of tables. Great drinks selection. Not much food choice but good food. Nicely cooked. Music was way too loud.m to hold a conversation. Wait staff were excellent. Good place to hold private functions.
Good as nightclub, terrible dining choice.Went on a Sat night for dinner and stayed till around 11.Food was disappointing. Everything lacked seasoning. Potato skins were not skins, but deepfried chopped potatos. The pulled brisket had no seasoning at all. And for some reason was topped with aioli. As if brisket werent rich enough. Bad choice and no flavour.Deepfried chicken was soggy and had no flavour at all. Super disappointed. My friends ordered fish and chips and same experience. No flavour .A bit of salt pepper and garlic powder. Whats so complicated about it? If it were only one thing or another, but everthing was poorly made.Drinks and service was ok (hence the 2 starsand they had a nice band playing aftewards.
Horrible experience with the bouncers on Saturday night. One bouncer in particular had commented on the way I looked and said I wasn’t going to be let in to the place because I had “make up all over my face” without knowing that I actually have a blue birthmark on my face. Absolutely disgusted me how disrespectful he was to me. Made me feel completely embarrassed and upset. The bouncers jobs are meant to look at ID’s to make sure people are of age and to make sure people aren’t too intoxicated, they aren’t meant to comment on the way people look.
Really cool place to unwind on a Friday night after a busy work week. We got a few of the small plates to share and portions were really decent. Really recommend the Brisket on Flat Bread... absolutely delicious! Good food and good cocktail!
Had the best waiter who was amazing. I forgot his name but he suggested the banana bread and it was amazing! Bottomless brunch was amazing such a nice atmosphere too!
I visited for their August resturant month menu. The service was prompt courteous and efficient. Water had to requested in addition for drinks as it was not offered to the table to begin with. The atmosphere was pleasant and upbeat. The food was well presented simple and tasty with lots of bread as a filling. No special cooking.
Had a bottomless brunch here ordered the salmon, hash brown was like cardboard, the house wasnt packed. But one guy was serving 4 tables. Our empty plates were sitting on the table way to long. I had to call a staff member to clear our table. They seem to be walking around in circles, while we had to wait on someone to refill our flutes. After few Mimosas you forget about the slow service. This was my first time here and ive been to a few bottomless, this one was by far the worst.
Place has good atmosphere. Food is ok. The chicken burger is huge which is great however the chicken was over fried and hard to eat. Their platter for 2 was well worth it. Everything on there was good.
Have ladies night with some close friends . Ordered a plater to share which included salt & pepper squid , but when it came nothing looked like salt & pepper squid. More like sweet & spicy squid . Tried a few of their signature drinks , wasnt really impressed . But overall was okay . My friends all happy and enjoy themselves
We had Nico as our Bartender and he was absolutely amazing! Give this guy a pay rise because he deserves it! Cant wait to come back and be looked after by Nico. 5 star service! So happy with how our day turned out!
We went there as part of the Restaurant of the Month offer.Really hesitated what rating to leave, the service was friendly, all dishes were home made and quantities were fairly large, however the main (gnocchiswere absolutely flavorless and the desert was a "strange non-identified chocolate thing".We ate less than half of the plate for main and hardly touched the desert...The waiter didnt ask any question, not sure if he was polite or used to it.
Me & a few gfs meet up here, all mamas that never get out much to try out their bottomless beer, bubbles & dumplings on a thursday. Wow as soon as we get there my friend sips her drink pretty quick she asks for a refill the waiter says "oh sorry you have to wait 15 minutes" I swear about 20 minutes in still no refill 🤦♀️ 30 minutes - were only on our second drink, I tell our waiter that I read the terms & conditions & theyre withholding a service we paid for, by now our foods finished - 50 minutes in weve now had about 5 drinks each still no extra food, (we only on 5 because I went to the manager & complained, he didnt even apologize or try make amends just went straight into defensive mode & snappy)After complaining about the food & drinks being limited, in the last 10 minutes unlimited drinks & dumplings cause our times pretty much up. Anyway our waiter was really cute young & kind she gets a 7 cause that food wasnt coming out fast enough or the refills, but her manager was a 1 for being snappy 🤔😂 the place is a vibe 8, the band was so cool like 8 aswell.
Nico was amazing! They were understandably understaffed but we still felt well taken care of and Nico was a vibe. Give this man a raise y’all! Food was also bomb, loved the boujee salmon!
Our waitress was amazing ! However the manager was rude we only got served food once during our whole bottomless brunch and only 1 drink in the first 40 minutes ! The manager tells staff to say drinks are every 10 minutes for a bottomless dinner but no where does it say that in the terms and conditions! When asking the manager he was extremely rude there was nothing bottomless about the situation the waiting staff are over worked and the manager was disgusting rude !
Horrible experience from the get go. Firstly the waiter took ages to take our order, we kept looking around trying to catch smones eye so they could. The waiter took our order, checked twice, yet I and many others received the wrong order. When I told the waitress she asked if I was fine eating what I was given. I didn’t want to waste food and since my previous order they also got wrong and I was hungry I said it’s fine I’ll eat it. I waited 40 mins for my mocktail. Every time the waiter would come around to pour the alcoholic drinks, I would remind them but nothing for 40 mins. Our plates were not cleared once we had finished. And even though the waiter checked our order twice they forgot to serve us 6 items! These forgotten items were shared food but we weren’t given as extra cutlery or plates! I had asked for spicy sauce or chill flakes with my meal but was told they had none, then when my friend asked for hot sauce with the fried chicken (because we weren’t given any!!?suddenly they had some?? When I asked for two maple syrups because two ppl hadn’t been given it with their meal, our waitress only gave us one? Smone accidentally split a drink and we had to clean it up ourselves. The napkins were not picked up by the staff instead left on the table. It was my friends bday so when we asked if we could cut the cake now the waitress said to us to clear the table for them and make space for the cake?!? At the end we paid and I spoke to the manager and clang explained what had happened and tried to offer feedback- I wasn’t looking for a discount or anything as we had already paid. After I tell him everything that happened he says ok, and walks off. This is ridiculous. I work in the hospitality industry too and this was actually shocking. I’ve never received such poor service, or had wait staff roll their eyes or be so rude. Will never recommend this to anyone. Atleast take the feedback nicely instead of storming off. Disgusting behaviour by the staff and manager.
Great time at bottomless last Sunday! Niko the waiter gave great service and set the vibe very well. Only ask is that you guys have some spare sunglasses somewhere because the table was so bright from the sun on the ocean - nice view though : )
Bottomless brunch - Great service, nice enough food to go with the drinks!
nice food and ambience, our waitress Ellke (sorry if I spelt it wrongwas very nice and attentive.
It gets 5 stars for the G&T I had with bitter orange and earl gray! Very nice combo and great view of the sunset and the boats and very cozy seating with outside heater, pleasant even on the nippy evening. Food is not my type so will not comment. My company found it great. But will be back for the G&T!
Came to Lula’s for their bottomless brunch and had a great time! Weather was amazing and our food and drinks were all served promptly! Nhi was a great and attentive waiter! She made sure we were looked after and can’t wait to come back again sometime! !
Cool venue, great location, yummy desserts, service was pretty hard to get though, even though it wasnt particularly busy. Definitely still worth a visit.
Had dinner here with a group of friends and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Drinks were good, food was good and our waiter was amazing offering food and drink recommendations and always making sure we were enjoying ourselves. Would absolutely recommend and we cant wait to try the bottomless brunch.
We were here for the botomless brunch and it was pretty good: prosecco, mimosas, Bloody Maries. Tbh, Bloody Marries were pretty bad, dont go for it. But the rest was great :And the highlight of the day was Elijah, who provided great service and was really helpful and cheerful. Really made our day!
I came for their bottomless brunch experience and had a fantastic time. Both Daniel and Alex were spectacular and helped to make my experience fun. If you want a bottomless brunch right on the waterfront with delicious food and great service, I cant recommend Lulas enough.
Went to bottomless brunch on Saturday 12/02. Food was amazing. Niko was amazing. So attentive, polite, and just generally pleasant. Very professional but still a lot of fun at the same time, and definitely built an atmosphere at our table. Thank you Niko. We were sat in the side/back by the restrooms, with no fans, so it was pretty muggy. Felt bad for the staff especially working in the heat, cant imagine as I was hot sitting and sipping cocktails. Overall a great deal and enjoyable.
The food was amazing. Lots of food choices and everything tasted good. Grilled fish, popcorn cauliflower, pizza and prawn dumplings were spot on. We had a group booking outside which had a nice view. Had a great time. The only downside was that there is limited mocktail menu and I had to pay cocktail price for wanting a drink from there without alcohol in it. It still tasted good but perhaps there needs to be more mocktail range or not overcharging to make it without alcohol.
Half the cocktail items werent available and only upon trying to order were we told. Cheap tables, dirty cushions that were uncleaned, covered in crumbs and stains from previous customers. The unavailable menu items were all listed as if they were available untill trying to order. And my burger came with tomato which was not listed in the ingredients, meaning I assume there are unlisted ingredients in most menu options. My burger had two tiny sad little pickles, the burger was flavourless which was suprising for something advertised as wagyu beefPrices were actually laughably high. $27 for my burger. I Honestly feel you can get a more flavourful and higher quality patty at McDonalds. This establishment needs to seriously do better. There were flies in the outside area too.I ordered a drink called the colonial, then ordered another with pineapple and was confused when it was smaller and didnt have a slice of pineapple, contrary to my instructions of the same drink but with vodka.
We booked a table for 6 on a Sunday night and were seated in a booth. Service was great, Angela and Hannah were patient, accommodating, attentive and friendly. We ordered the platter which was amazing, a couple of pizzas which were also really nice, two vegan dishes (cabbage stack and tofu), the fish and pork belly mains. The two vegan dishes were nice but not amazing and the pork belly crackling was not that pleasant to eat. Everything else was great though! We also took in a cake to celebrate a birthday and they brought that to our table as well as plates, forks etc. Very professional and friendly staff with yummy and reasonably priced food!
Attended Bottomless Brunch on Saturday, 28th Nov 2020 at 11:30am. We were given the booth to sit in. We requested a table as some of our big bodied guests were getting a sore mid section (stomachas the table was cutting into their stomach. The first waitress apologised saying unfortunately there are no tables available as the tables have all been reserved so we could not move. The brunch continued and we had another waitress come around taking our orders and topping up our drinks we again asked if we could move as it was getting extremely uncomfortable even painful as she could clearly see. She understood and confirmed she would sort something out as there have been bookings cancelled and a table is possibly available. The first waitress returns and tells us once again sorry there are no tables available. We thought it was strange seeing there was a table or two with no one sitting there until we left the restaurant. Our main waitress was rude and dismissive. The second waitress was lovely and accommodating. Why we couldn’t simply be moved to another table to make my friends comfortable was poor service. The cocktails Mimosa, Bloody Mary and Prosecco were average. The food was nice. Overall experience 1 Star just because of the bad service we received and not accommodating your customers who clearly needed assistance.
Really enjoyed this restaurant in Auckland. We had a few different appetizers including the cauliflower, dumplings, and potstickers, all were very yummy. Had the market fish as an entree, which was perfectly prepared and very flavorful. They had a nice selection of local wines and beers. Our waitress, Ellen, was absolutely delightful as well!! She gave great recommendations. Lula’s is also a good place for a group because of the varied menu.
Had bottomless brunch here and it was awesome. Service was amazing, great staff. Food was great also and we had endless drinks for 2 hrs. View was absolutely gorgeous. 😍😘
Great service from our server for the night, Celia. Attentive but not too pushy. Had the $40 Restaurant Month special but definitely keen to come back another time. Luckily enough we also were entertained by Big Ticket, an awesome swing 7 piece band who play every 2 weeks. Made the ambience even better.
Absolutely loved the food here! We came for a light dinner and got 3 small plates to share between 2. Good drinks list and have to go back to try the different Gin and tonics! The spaghetti was especially good, with the lamb ribs a standout! The flavours are delicious and different to a lot of the places that are doing pulled pork brisket and smoked flavours. The mussels were good but about the same as anywhere else. Saw a lot of other delicious looking food being served to other tables so definitely have to come back! Friendly relaxed service as well.
