Staff is always extremely helpful. Good selection of camping, hiking, climbng, canoeing, kayaking, running, & dog stuff. A little pricey, but they have a great selection of things if you need them urgently.

Always a great trip just to see what is new. Also extremely helpful and friendly staff.

What an awesome store. They have everything! I could spend all day here. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Picked up a few Gränsfors Bruk axes and other supplies while I was there. Very happy. Ill be back!

love the fact you can check to see if they have it in stock on the website. amazingly quest carries a ton of equipment. found what I wanted and they had it. awesome cafe inside too.

Quest always has an amazing selection of clothing, shoes, gear, and other outdoor style items! The employees are always helpful and knowledgeable and it is very cool to browse and be inspired for your next adventure

I lost my favorite leggings that have either been discontinued or were out of stock everywhere else, and I was desperately searching for a replacement pair. Quest had what I think must have been the last two pairs in existence in the size/color I wanted. I ordered from ~1000 miles away and they were shipped and delivered in 4 days! I appreciate it SO MUCH. I will be in Louisville this summer and will definitely stop in to shop in person!

The sad thing is I have shopped here for years. Bought many items for backpacking from them. I do not live close. So with quest closing at 7pm it was hard to get to the store but I finally was able to make and 15min to 7. But I new what I needed and new right where to go but from the point of entering the store to leaving felt like I was absolutely not wanted in the store followed by someone behind the counter to shoe department not to help but to watch me then person in shoe department was short with me and said he new nothing about backpacking shoes. I asked for two shoes in size 10.5 and 11 but only the 10.5s showed up and the man walked off and hid behind wall by register. The store had plenty of people in it but no one was being waited on. I’m not sure I’ll go back it’s 30min from my home. Hour round trip. To buy a pair of shoes. To be treated like that. I have met the owners and gave money at fund raisers but life is to short.

Very cool outdoor outfitter. Middle to high end merchandise, lots of niche equipment for hiking, rock climbing, camping, or any other outdoor activity you can think of.

First off I love this store. If you want high quality outdoor gear , then this is the place. What really sets Quest apart from other stores is their employees are knowledgeable in what the are selling.I bought a knife and I was surprised how much the associate Damon knew about knives. Being a knife guy that is really nice for them to understand what youre talking about. Im so glad I found this place.

This is the best outfitter in Louisville. After not being able to find rock climbing gear at any of their competitors I was surprised to find Quest had a wide assortment. The owner Ryan is an extremely genuine guy, and I’m proud to support this local business.

We love this store. We drive 150 miles to go there. They have alot of great items. Will go back again soon.

David Baker runs a great Fly Shops and really knows his Fly Rods, Bought 5 this year! And Abbey and the girls are so helpful upstairs, made shopping for my son and his girlfriend so easy! Great quality!

I live nowhere near the store and just ordered on the website, but I was super happy to find a place where I could order a Patagonia sweatshirt that was sold out everywhere else. Order shipped fast and I even got a UPS tracking email right away. Im always nervous to order from stores I dont know online but the sweatshirt came clean and neatly wrapped, just a few days after I ordered it. Thanks Quest!

Big selection of the top brands in outdoor apparel. Nice coffee shop and a pretty good selection of camping and climbing gear, too!

Quest only had one small rack of Arcteryx jackets. The website claimed they had my size in stock and the next day, I went to try it on. The Atom LT in large fits me more perfect than any jacket Ive ever worn. Im sure glad they had one on the rack!

“Outdoors store” that has less of a selection than Walmart. They’ve got your fly fishing needs, some camo, and flashlights that are hundreds of dollars. Nice people though

Always very friendly and helpful staff, great service, decent selection of a variety of outdoor gear. Id love to see more climbing options since thats my main outdoor activity.

Somewhat disappointed in this place. I was told they have 30 day return policy when I tried to return my backpack but missed the deadline by about another month. Our trip to montana blew up when my wife broke her leg at the gorge so it defeated the purpose of having the backpack, keep in mind its $150 pack still has tags and everything. After spending 1k+ at this place in last several months and having awesome experience I think I will start shopping online. I was trying to support Quest being local and all but seems like they didnt want to help me. Instead I was offered for them to purchase the pak back at a lower price. It just rubbed me the wrong way..Moral of the story for my situation was you can buy online cheaper and get a potentially better return policy.

Quest is the premiere outdoor store in town. No other store in the area focuses on outdoor nature recreation. If your visiting town, then go where the local hikers a campers go… Quest Outdoors!To add, the customer service and brand selection is top shelf.

Purchased a Kavu sling about 6 months ago and the stitching was coming undone. Went into the store today and they replaced the bag, no questions asked. I even offered to contact the supplier, but they made it right. I now have a new bag. Would highly recommend Quest!!

Loved the selection of outdoor equipment. Prices are decent on some products and very high on others. I did buy an affordable summer hat that I am pleased with. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

I cannot say enough good things about Quest!! The staff was so friendly and helpful (special shout out to Savannah!! She was awesome!! They helped me gear up for the adventure of a lifetime, and were very intentional to keep trying different boots until I found ones that were going to work for me. Highly recommend for all your outdoor needs!

This place has everything. Whether youre gearing up for the winter, for hiking, climbing, fishing, travel abroad, or all points in between then theyve got the gear you need. Knowledgeable and friendly staff and a very wide selection of brands. Everything is top notch quality, the kinds of clothing and gear you can hang on to for a good number of years due to durability.

I can honestly say this is my favorite Outdoor store in Kentucky, I now drive over an hour from Lexington to visit this store. After going to multiple stores trying to find my partner a pack for backpacking we ended up here on Saturday. An older gentleman named Del helped my partner for over an hour trying on packs. He was beyond courteous and patient, more importantly he was very clearly an expert. If you are looking for the quintessential outdoor store experience Quest Outdoors is a great place.

The staff here are so helpful. Special shout out to the younger caucasian man with long dark hair who helped me find a good hiking shoe. He was very knowledgeable and listened to my foot issues and ended up recommending the best shoes i have ever worn since my accident that has caused a lot of lingering foot issues. These Altras are great and my feet thank you. Thanks so much for helping improve my quality of life 💙☀

Rory helped us with hiking shoes. He was very knowledgeable about the impressive selection they offered. I was told about this local owned shop and worried they would have nothing but it is a pretty good size outdoor store. 10/10 would recommend. As we checked out the cashier let us know about some hiking spots and gave us a couple pamphlets on the area and one on volunteer opportunities. Very impressed with the entire shopping experience!

Had a great first experience. Employees are knowledgeable and very helpful. It’s expensive, but they’re name brand and specialty outdoors items, so they’re comparable to prices you’d see for these items anywhere else. I’ll certainly be back.

Great store for top of line gear, but keep in mind its for top of the line stuff so you wont find many "affordable" items. The stuff youll buy here youll buy once and use forever so do your research before buying your gear and youll be a happy camper!Cool coffee shop and used gear options too!

Very nice big store has anything u could possibly need or want for camping or hiking, only downside is its expensive, but I just found out they price match. So they are a great store to go to for all your camping, hiking and outdoor needs. Upside is they have every single thing is top of the line and newest products out. Its a must visit store if you love the great outdoors.

Love this store. They have the top of the line outdoor equipment. (Camping, fishing, kayaking, climbing). People are friendly and helpful. They are expensive but also have great sales. Love attending their camping weekends.

I can sometimes find cheaper prices online, but if you want good hiking gear, this is the place to get really good advice. Theyre always willing to show me all about the different products and let me try them out. Worth buying in the store to keep a place like this in business.

Im not from Louisville and this was my first time in this store. I was so disappointed that I got in to late because they were closing early for the holiday. The staff was extremely friendly and they had an amazing product assortment. The prices were also in line with any other outdoors store ive shopped. Thank you quest

Honestly, its the only true outdoorsy shop in our area. That certainly doesnt mean its bad, though. Far from it, in fact, as they seem bent on sharing their passion for the outdoors with everyone who walks in their door. Complete with a coffee shop in the lower level (who make a mean campfire coffee with liquid smokeQuest really does seem to offer something for everyone in nearly every sector of the outdoors. From hiking to kayaking, bouldering to fishing, trail running to camping, Quest has it all. And what they dont have, the folks who work there have heard all about, can tell you about, and can probably order it for you.Genuinely nice and supportive, never pushy or "salesy," they are always a great bet for some solid advice on the best pair of shoes for your ultra marathon, or when the next group is leaving for a summit of Rainier.And unlike most places that make you feel bad for bringing your kiddo in tow, they all seem to love my little guy and smile and wave at him. Sure its small change stuff, but thats the stuff Im looking for if Im going to trust you on your recommendation on pricey shoes or a couple thousand dollar summit. A genuinely place with genuine people.(Though I would love to have a location on my side of the river...)

My whole family loves this place. My wife used to shop here before outings with the girl scouts and I know buy stuff for myself. They have some of the best trail running shoes you can find locally and the prices arent bad. Helpful friendly staff as well.

Very pleased each time making a purchase, here. Within the last month I bought a Thule car box for the roof of our SUV. The managers and staff were incredibly helpful when we picked it out and lent suggestions and their opinion on the model and size. They understood what we were looking for and were patient while we took a little time to decide on which to invest in. They promptly helped us to install it on our roof, gave some helpful hints for use, and we were on our way. Very happy with the end result and took the car box with us for a road trip of 20+ hours of driving. Definitely a level of customer service you do not receive buying from Amazon or other big box stores. Thanks, guys!

Every time I have come to the store I am always greeted with help and kindness. The staff always find a way to make me happy or add some knowledge to my arsenal when making a decision. Never feel pressured and it shows how willing they are to make my purchase an educated one. I will avoid specifics but they do right by me in every scenario and I am proud to shop at this store even when we all know it is easy to shop online instead. There is value in coming in and making the purchase for sure! Thank you for all the help.

Hometown outdoors at its finest. Love the store and the outlet. Definitely find some great deals. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and actually uses the products in their down time giving them first-hand knowledge of most of the gear.

Large selection of all major brands in trekking apparel. The employees we spoke with were professional, knowledgeable, and eager to provide assistance. The layout of the store is multi tiered with different departments on each level. There is a coffee shop on the bottom tier. I would venture to say that the store carries nearly every trekking and camping item you could ever want or need.

I live out of town, but I make it a point to stop in if Im in Louisville. There isnt a store this nice anywhere near me.They keep the place very clean and they have a respectable selection of outside gear and apparel. The staff has been friendly and helpful.

Staff is always very helpful. They sell top quality stuff. Unfortunately, the prices are very high as well. Be prepared to dish out some dough. The good news is that those items should last you a life time. If you are serious about outdoor gear, this is your place. Dont forget to try their coffee. Its awesome as well.

awesome outdoors store. super helpful and knowledgeable staff. just had the backpack guy fit me for multiple packs, fill em with weight and watch as I ambled around the store then give feedback and go over all the bells and whistles of the different packs for like 20 minutes. got a ton of useful advice and didnt make me feel like a total noob. also they have an awesome coffee shop in the store, how can you not love that

I was frustrated when I moved to Louisville a few years back... only one outdoor outfitter store? But then I visited for the first time. Wow! Great selection in everything from rock climbing gear to personal watercraft to backpacks and gear to jackets and clothing. And now they have coffee too! Epic. The new location is so much bigger. The staff is always courteous and glad to help. The prices are competitive, about what youd pay online or at REI or another such place. And now they have a rewards program too. Overall a great place to shop and my first stop for anything outdoors!!!

A locally owned business with friendly service. They offer mid to high end level outdoor gear. Everything Ive bought from there has always lasted, so the quality is worth the price. They have a great selection of active wear - for on & off the hiking trail.
