Lost world is the best for sunset
El mundo perdido es increíble. Es el area con influencia teotihuacana. Tiene elementos de arqueoastronomía. Muy bello y especial. La vista es insuperable
Hermoso lugar.
View sunset from top platform over pyramid.
These pictures were taken from the Great Pyramid at the Lost World. It is the best place for Sunset because you have a 360 degree view and the other temples look very close to you.To stay for the sunset, make suee you have paid the extra Q100 and have the corre t color bracelet.I also recommend that to enjoy best the sunset, Silence is the best way to wait for it.
Love it
Great place, great history
Awesome find your guide Cezar
This is a must see if youre in Guatemala. We stayed in Flores and did the afternoon sunset tour. Transport from Flores was 120 GTQ, we left at 12pm. Tickets to the park were 250 GTQ as the sunset tour costs 100 GTQ extra (youre in the park later than official closing time). You also have to have a guide for the sunset tour. You will need GTQ cash to buy the entrance tickets, no cards or USD. Our hostel managed to get these for us in advance but we were the only ones - everyone else on the tour had to get off the bus at the entrance and buy the tickets (which seemed to be no hassle).Took about an hour and a half to get there and got back to Flores around 8.30pm. It rained a lot while we were there, but it was hot. I was glad to have trekking sandals (some of the paths had flowing water on them by the time we were leaving!and light clothes. Picked up a plastic poncho there for 20 GTQ.Thought it might be busy for the sunset tour but it wasnt. I heard you might see more animals for the sunrise tour. Unfortunately it was too cloudy to see the sunset but I still thought the place was amazing.
Great place to watch the sunset. You are right above the canopy so you are able to see the afternoon activity of birds and other animals. You see far away the top of some of the tallest pyramids rise just above the canopy. Its a great experience and totally worth the extra 100 quetzales.
Had a great time here. Went for the sunset tour. It rained but was still good. Went with the Los Amigos tour. By far the most economical (100Qand entrance was 150Q.
Probably one of the most interesting sights of Central America. Maya pyramids. Be sure to have an appropriate guide. And luck. On the way home we were blocked by some people who decided tourists were to blame because they didn’t have running water. The restaurant is decent, beer is fresh. Be hydrated as you’ll sweat your brain out.
Tikal is magical and wonderful place. Mayan civilization so very advanced in their time and created wonderful masterpieces.
Magic place!
This is a famous place to watch sunrise or sunset. You can get a great panoramic view of the other temples from here.
Part of Tikal, the lost world is a series of temples that rise out of the jungle canopy. The highlight is the astronomical temple which you can climb to get a vire of the jungle and the other temples.
Awesome place to learn about mayas old piramids
As part of the Tikal rouines it is truely impressive and I thougt its nicer as grand plaza itself. So you shouldnt skip or miss it.
Very special place.
Great view in Tikal
Really nice place
Simply breathtaking! The mystic energy one senses from the forest and the ruins is really special. Your mind takes a journey trying to imagine how millions of mayan people (yes, millions!habited on that land now covered by nature, their wisdom and ability to build such magnificent pyramids and temples where every detail has a cosmologic and symbolic meaning. You have to live this experience!
Wow!
Lots of stairs so make sure you are healthy enough for that and elevation. Once you are on top it is absolutley worth the views.Dont forget the camera! Nothing like this.
Wonderful
Love it i wold like to came back again.
I liked it
Very beautiful and amazing
A wonderful place to take a walk
Mayan splendor at its finest.
Awsome! The views were amazing from the top of the pyramids. We had a great guide who knew so much about the ruins and showed us a lot that we would have missed.
It was definitely interesting but it’s hard to compare when you’ve been to a couple other Mayan ruins. If your like me and seen some already in Mexico I probably wouldn’t go see these but...if that’s what your into check it out! You can spend at least 5 hours here
AMAZING !
Good spot to see birds. Here, we can climb one of the temples.
Best. Go.
Just awesome, nothing else needs to be said.
Amazing, simply amazing.
Loved the lost world. One of the best sites in Tikal. Visit the museum, it is worth it!
Trip ko lang
The oldest part of Tikal, is literally like a lost world, is southwest of the Main Plaza, a place that is mystique and less crowded
Stunning
