The security is top notch which is a plus given the high profile patrons and dignitaries who grace the Lord Erroll Hotel.Class is maintained by ensuring the very best of English dishes are well prepared, presented and served with utmost professionalism of the staff.The garden is very well manicured that one is tempted to run fingers over it.Boarding facilities are classy and elegant to maintain the high standards of the hotel.A great venue for business meetings, family and friends.

The satisfaction of my experience at this restaurant made me feel like a king! Ive never experienced such well seasoned food and perfect waiter accommodation. I highly encourage viewers of my review to visit The Lord Erroll. It is surely worth your hard-earned money!

Very nice food and, above all ambience. Upmarket, posh, lush etc. etc. However, bring a well lined wallet since a glass of wine is about 12 USD. Pity is, it didnt taste like 12 USD. Also the linguini prawns didnt have the prawns. And for 30 + USD you could expect that. So Ill go only back on very special occasions.

Very Fancy. Has a very royal Ambience, might as well dress up. Food is good too. Very clean, spacious and private. Great place to do something special like a proposal, birthday, anniversary etc

Very high standard gourmet restaurant. The food is very delicious. The very pleasant and chic setting. The staff are particularly very welcoming, warm and lovely. Very well located in relation to the city and access is quite simple.

Quiet and elegant set up .The starters and food were quite spectacular.Wine selection was amazing.The service was great but food did take a while. When ordering any meat be very specific on your preference whether medium rare or well done. Loved the set up .

First time there with my girls and they did not disappoint. We are definitely coming back. The ambience and decor is wow, just wow!! The food was yummy...i am coming back to get the banana bread!! its to die for.Thank you Jackson(he was in charge that evening), Our waiters George, Winnie. And of course Brenda for making sure we had a good table for the four of us and for being prompt in your responses during reservation process.Had an awesome time.

Ambience and decor of the restaurant is really great. Simple, old, European style architecture. Friendly staff and well maintained grounds. Not easy to get to via public transport you would have to use a motorbike to access it or brave a 15-25min walk to get to the place. They have gourmet meals so it can get pricey. Budget accordingly if planning that spectacular n memorable date.Staff are quite friendly and helpful. There has been a recent change in management so when I went there was a bit of touch n go. But they finally came through. Hopefully you should have a better experience by the time you read this post especially for planned functions.One of the most memorable things is when the waiter serve you. There is a special something they do when they present your meal. Allow me not to spoil it. It make you feel like royalty. Its small, but goes a long way.

I expected more from a place like this. If it were another establishment or if it had a lower rating or if the prices were half, I would accept giving a higher rating. But this way it doesn’t really live up to my expectations.The food was mediocre. Many wines on the menue weren’t available.I would come again and pay the prices but the food quality needs to increase and the availability of the wines has to be ensured.However, the waiter and the staff were excellent and attentive. My compliments. Also, I thank you for fulfilling the wish of an individually designed cake!

Service is good although the waiters need more training on the meals, the bread selection is one of the best Ive had, the main meal was average and the quantity was small. Early Saturday night and most of the desserts that looked great on the menu werent available. More posh casual than romantic.

Horrible experience. Didn’t serve food with the right pace and the display of the plates were just bad - not very appealing. We started dinner at 7:30 in the evening and the dessert came at 10:00 PM - that’s how slow it was and how bad the service was. Our dessert wasn’t the same as described - chocolate ice cream become vanilla. And my chocolate mousse’s size was half the size compared to others’. They messed up our orders and no one even apologized. After the dessert there was no coffee or tea as listed in the menu. No one said anything. Simply the worst experience I had in Africa during our two week trip there. What a sad night and bad ending of our trip in Africa. Unpleasant place.

The food was very good. The onion soup was nice and flavoursome. The tuna steak house special was very good and my girlfriend also enjoyed her calamari and salmon. A minor mishap was the fact that they initially forgot to bring our sides with the main course but this was remedied after we mentioned it and not a very big deal. I liked the decor and the service was good. I cant give it 5 stars because at this price point and with this presentation there is the promise of an unforgettable meal. It wasnt quite that but certainly worth a visit.

I had a lovely dining experience at Lord Errol. The wait staff was very attentive and professional. The menu was nicely varied and not too pretentious. The meals were beautifully prepared very tasty. Each person in our party of 6 were were happy with the experience.

Quite simply The Lord Errol Restaurant has to be one of the finest restaurants in Africa if not the world. From the moment you arrive youre taken to a whole new world of tranquillity away from the hustle of busy Nairobi, its truly an oasis of calm.On my arrival at the restaurant, I was taken aback by the decor & landscaped gardens that surround the terrace area. It was though I was transported back in time to an era when the rush of modern day life did not exist.It was a quiet evening & I managed to meet with the new head Michelin starred chef who was kind enough to whip up a special three-course menu. This is true service when someone goes above & beyond for their clients it really makes an impression that will stay forever. So let’s get onto the foodTHE STARTERA salmon mouse with berry sauce & caviar. I have never had a salmon mouse this light before. The combination of the sauce with the salmon reminded me of being back in Sweden, I had flashbacks of when I was a child eating berries from the forest.THE MAINThis was one of the most beautifully decadent dishes that I have ever come across. Risotto with lobster tail from the Kenyan coast paired with shrimp & asparagus. It can be very tricky to get the right consistency for risotto but I felt the did an amazing job pairing the flavours together. It was a true tour de force of a dish they truly has passion for the finer details.THE DESSERTI’m a dessert person so I was curious what the chef would come up with. He did not disappoint I was served with a tasting platter of different desserts from the menu from a super gooey brownie to a perfect macaroon & the best cheesecake that I have had in Africa yet. tip; try the Kenya milk tea with your dessert it’s divine.I would like to give a special mention to Eva for looking after me & to the owner Zahra whom sat with me for a while and introduced me to their homemade soups that are one of the house specialities. My time chatting with Zahra was enlightening as she was extremely articulate & humble such a wealth of knowledge.

Perfect experience. Hosted our 7th anniversary, a group of 15 people. Eve the events manager made sure all our requests were met. The set up was beautiful, Kimani our wait staff was always available to assist through out the evening. The food is very tasty, though I wish ossubucco would be brought back to the menu (chef please).The cake!!!!! The cake!!!!! Woooowww!!! The cake surpassed our expectations. My request of choc chip was captured well and sprinkled with awesomeness. It was a good highlight. The staff singing for us was a nice touch. We are really grateful for making our special day even better.Well definitely be back.

If you are looking for an intimate, upmarket restaurant that has comfort and good quality food, then Lord Erroll is the place. The service can sometimes be a little bit slow (have been twice now and the starters took at least 45 minutes to arrivebut the quality of food is really good. I have had both a fish and chicken main course on separate occasions and the portion size is good. The price is a bit on the high side, which makes it a place that is good for occasions.

Amazing. Right from the start, the awesome people welcome you very nicely, even without a reservation 🙈 (the new year was kind to usand check on you all through. The food is scrumptious. The ambience is calming. I will definitely be back!

The service was Swift and courteous. The ambience warm and quite. Though the place was super busy being Christmas lunch the service was meticulous. This is a place I want to go again. Note; if you love your drink ask for Jesse he is kind, well informed and his drink recommendations on point.

Was taken out for dinner by my partner. One thing that struck me was the customer service. Wow. Everyone was very friendly, and treated us so so well 😊 I was pleased. The food was delicious, and extremely filling, I wasnt even hungry the next morning. I love how the tables are set apart so you dont notice the people having dinner around you. Highly recommend this place

This is by far one of the most exclusive restaurants to be in away from a main hotel setup. The compound is really well done and maintained, parking seems sufficient... Service is exceptional and the staff are cheerful and their willingness to assist with a smile is, again, exceptional. Meals were served within a very reasonable amount of time and was delicious and well served. Theyre serious about service and quality delivery, highly recommend.

Very nice quaint restaurant. Tucked in the upmarket Runda neighborhood.Can be quite tricky to locate if you dont know your whereabouts.Lovely place, great ambiance and the food is delicious. Service is also super. Waiting time can be long especially if in a large group. A must visit and its worth taking the journey to eat there.

One of the best restaurants in Nairobi. The staff are excellent and really take pride in their service and quality. The duck is especially good! There is also a nice garden I could see as a great venue for a wedding or company retreat. The restaurant is divided into several themed large rooms, including a classic cigar bar, formal dinning, and extended patio setting with shutters in case of unfortunate weather. A great place for a whiskey complimented conversation, tea at noon, a light lunch, or a steak dinner.

Located somewhere at the heart of Runda, about 2 minutes drive from Limuru Road, the place offers a quite environment and cool ambience for relaxation and reflection. It would be an ideal place to enjoy a meal, drink some wine accompanied by melodies from a perfect pianist while enjoying the warmth provided at a fire place within the facility. If you want to be away from the noisy city center and malls, head over to the place and if you are lucky to be served by Karanja then you will love your stay even more.
