One of my favorite places to travel across county to visit. However, it is definitely different without Nick but super cool to be WOMAN and former employee OWNED!!!!They had the best Bloody Mary boots and Tacos back in 2019.Thank you for always graciously hosting DFD and the Mushroom Cult!!!

Always an incredible experience jamming here. The staff is nice and the music is loud. I come here every time Dog Fashion Disco does.

Showed up for the band one day and got drinks poured into my face. 10/10 hot bartenders

Quite possibly the best accommodations I have EVER experienced while at a concert. Nick (the AMAZING ownerhand delivered water bottles to the pit. Not only was it not expected but it was not required. This is very clearly a bar owned and ran by people that have been on the other side before.

Excellent bloody marys, Bartender was Terrific..and played poker and won some good money....all in all it was a hell of a Sunday and I will be a returning customer...ESPECIALLY ON SUNDAY BLOODY MARY DAY, I went there I was hungry..bythe time I left I was so full from all the goodies they stock u up with in the drinks...homemade chicken legs people, hard boiled eggs, sausage, pickles, olives, yes it was pheno.inal and the price was as well....great, great job..got me a new sundy hangout for sure...

Eh, not pool table, crowded seating arrangement, very dark. I saw they had a venue for live music, so maybe I just showed up on an off day, (8 o clock Friday nightnot much attention showed by the bartender, but I did run into a couple decent patrons

Was very leery as in not the best area and parking tough BUT...would go again in a minute. Food great, music great, Bloody Marys awesome! Atmosphere fun. Very busy so go early and stay late if you want a seat!

I love this place. From the walls to the people this little music venue is genuine, exciting, and creative. The Looney Bin is hands down the best spot to go to for live music in kankakee county. If you dont believe me feel free to check it out yourself.

Amazing venue! Awesome staff. Maureens jello shots are to die for. Owner is an awesome man. And they get the greatest bands there! Just went to my 30th or so show there and I am so happy I went. It was awesome. Thanks Looney Bin for being my go to bar!

A dive bar in every since of the description, but a dive bar with a heart and lots of character. We saw Dan Baird there last night and while the club is small, about 250 is all you could fit here, the band was having a good time and so was the audience. Easy to find with Google maps. The parking is on the street on down the road in another parking lot but thats no big deal. Acoustics are good. Short drive and we would definitely come back to see another band there. Plus $2 Pabst, how can you beat that? Free popcorn .

Cool little spot. The best bands play here. Liz is pretty awesome too. Nick is a cool dude you will always have a good time in here.

Great place to see live music! Caught The Stoney Curtis Band there. The owner and staff are awesome people. Had a great time and we cant wait to go back.

The owner is strange. He got in trouble answering the phone at Walmart years back. He claimed that it was done out of humor but it was spooky and not even close to being funny. Also, he suggests that this place is 🌈 friendly but he doesnt even truly like blacks so I doubt its really 🌈 friendly. Im almost certain that hes claiming it just to gain lgbt money.Theres no way hes so accepting of one group of people despite their 🌈 orientation but subjects another group of people to racial stereotypes and descrimination because of their skin.I think hes kind of slow this is why I wouldnt recommend the Looney Bin to any group of people.Behind the scenes, I bet he secretly laughs and poke fun of his black and 🌈 customers while they are at his bar trying to have a good time. Typical "my best friend is black or gay" type of response. I dont know what made you think that I was joking. There is no laugh out loud or smiley emoji anywhere in my review. Google sent me a notification the moment you replied to my review so I replied back. That is what the reply is for. It has nothing to do with me coming back constantly to slander your business. If you want me to stop replying just say so. Its not rocket science. It doesnt require a masters degree in computer science for a person to figure out why I replied. Its pretty obvious.

I enjoy myself every time I go to the Looney Bin. Nick and Maureen are wonderful people the staff and of course Bulls barbecue is fantastic the hospitality its just an all-around comfortable place to visit I really enjoy myself when Im there. I really recommend this place for a good conversation and some good food and just an all-around good time....

Not sure if there are enough adjectives to explain how much I love this place. After all, its my second home and it holds a ton of memories for me.

Great place for local and national entertainment, some of the best BBQ and food around and the beer is always cold and the staff always awesome !!

Went there for the 1st time to see Local H for the millionth time (popped my gfs Local H cherryloved the bar, bartenders, owners, everybody was AMAZING! Will DEFINITELY be going back! Kim and Mike give the Looney bin 2 thumbs up!

The Looney Bin. Looney. Yup! Looney! You just did the most craziest things ever....you verbally disprespect an act you booked. Note to management- be very careful who you talk too. You never know who they are or what friends (or business ssociatesthey may have. This just jeopardized all your future bookings. Totally unprofessional. Unacceptable. Outrageous. Looney! Yup. Looney. Dont disrespect the hand that brings you revenue. Well take it elsewhere ... And we are! Your loss.Reply to owners reply - It has worked out very well on my end. The feedback I received was overwhelming. So, I recommended that acts I represent, go elsewhere. And many have. Funny thing....theyve all said "thanks for the recommendations. Were playing at better venues making more money." Hows that work for you?

got to meet David Ellefson from Megadeth what could be better than that first band should have gone on 2nd with their energy and comparing to the Megadeth crowd

Very loud and fun at night, theres your occasional bar/cat fight outside, cheap/great booze and the weekly entertainment is wonderful to have especially when you come in to just chill and watch others get stupid on the best stuff in town.I have had many experiences their its been a ride. You can always find a friendly and warm face.So the name fits the bar which is amazing and I dont remember if they have bathrooms or not cause during the summer many people we to drink and chill outside.I think The Looney Bin could use some games though like bags, horseshoes, pool table, just some other games for fun of course.The drinks are perfect nothing to change their and the atmosphere is hysterical. A real dive, but I wonder if thats the point. Bulls BBQ moved there. I liked Bulls in the past, but this time was absolutely awful. Worst brisket I have ever had.

Nick is awesome, doesnt allow BS in his bar. Now that they have added Bulls BBQ, you cant beat the place.

Went for one showing, and was pleased with what I paid for. However, I didnt pay to be belittled just because I was trying to help one of the acts out the door. I was chastised by the bouncer for holding the door, when I was simply trying to be a civil human being. That doesnt fly. Be professional and straighten your attitude.Its also not healthy for your business if you grade people on their political stance. Im not paying to have your political party views crammed down my throat.
