The London Bridge Experience & London Tombs in Gimbi
Description
Privilege
Only half an hour long and when you consider the price, its a rip off. Not very scary at all either. Seem to be only interested in promoting the pub theyre attached to
MoreNicley done acting and also historically interesting parts, the end is a little bit loud but weve been warned plenty of times. And as were from Austria the scariest part of the whole tour is the bavarian beer cellar at the End ;-)
MoreAmazing experience! Very scary, but fun/funny as well. The actors all did a great job. Highly recommended!
MoreThis was included on our London Pass tickets. Definitely something to go and do if you have not been to London. Who doesn’t love a good ol fashion scare in October.
MoreThis was great, I took two young men to this and one passed out with fear. Worth every penny. Thank you guys! Really enjoyed it
MoreLoved the historical information and the actors who really brought the time period to life. The haunted house part was a great touch right before Halloween. It was nice that they offer a scary and not so scary option after the historical section for those who don’t want to go through the haunted house experience.
MoreThrilling, exciting and informative! The staff take you through the history of London Bridge in a fun way with a strobe scary walk in the end. The whole experience lasted about 30minutes which was a massive let down for the price. Not for the faint hearted or those with medical conditions.
MoreI visited the adults only Halloween special with my fiancé. The best experience I’ve ever had, MILES scarier than London Dungeon, and absolutely amazing experience! I loved it so so so much! I s**t my pants! I was unfortunately picked for a very… adult activity and my goodness, that was traumatising… especially when I was probed with a giant rubber… device (🍆). The actors were next level amazing, my gosh, it was just insanely amazing. I’m without a doubt coming back next Halloween. You WON’T regret it!
MoreBrilliant night ...the host Sasha was unbelievably helpful and funny ...top girl !!!!!She made the night even more fun for us all cant wait to go back x
MoreI had amazing night. Thank you for the great entertainment. Sasha was brilliant at her job. Definitely recommend going if you good night 👌🏻😁
MoreA gift, probably not for use, whated more history, but the staff worked very hard and they were very good 👍 fun light history
MoreCame with high expectations after reading good things but it’s not as good as it sounds. The whole thing lasted about 35 minutes and is in two parts. First part about 15 minutes walking in different parts with people talking about history of London bridge which in parts is incorrect and the Jack the Ripper bit was the worst for that. Next part is the scary part, walking through the dark with live actors who weren’t supposed to touch you yet they did a few times. Whilst that bit was quite good, very scary so be careful if you’re taking children. There is an option to leave after the first bit. Disappointed with the whole experience which could be so much more.
MoreWe had a great time. The actors were really good and it was dark and scary. We had an issue with Tesco Clubcard vouchers which was sorted out by the wonderful Sasha and James. Very much appreciated. We shall be back to visit the bier Keller again. The food was delicious and well worth the money. Thanks guys xxx
MoreNot sure if we done the whole tour but was done in 10 minutes.. the actors was pretty good although only had two sections where they spoke to you
MoreGreat experience, the actors and stories were really interesting and well acted. The horror maze was pretty scary but not too intense as you go with your tour group and the actors won’t chase you through.A very solid 45 minute tour with a nice bar at the end.
MoreThe experience was amazing but the service in the desert shop wasn’t great. Also please stop misgendering the lady at the front, it’s they/them :)
MoreFun little activity worth checking out. Had a good time with this. We brought our 5 year old and he did a good job, probably wouldnt recommend it for small children still. Staff was all very friendly and the experience was worth checking out.
MoreFriendly and understanding receptionist.Love the guy who stopped me on the streets and chatted Liverpool FC with me.Everyone is committed to showing guests a great time. All the actors really got into their acts.Great learning experience and fun to be had by any age.Different rooms with different themes such as a flickering lights room and a clown room.Reminds me of a Haunted House.10/10Wish I could do it again.❤❤❤❤❤
MoreThis needs to be advertised as a haunted house. I assumed it would be costumed actors telling grisly tales...but the last section is outright haunted house non-historical jump scares. I have an anxiety disorder and did not feel the intensity of the experience was made clear ...I had a full-on panic attack and screaming "NO," "SAFEWORD," "HELP," "PLEASE LET ME OUT,"STOP STOP STOP" and screaming and crying and there was absolutely no staff or ability to escape. Which made me panic further. Eventually I saw a light and was able to escape through the backstage, actors area, and back to the entryway. Anyway if you like jump scares, zombies snarling at you in the dark, scary clowns shooting at you ...great. But this is marketed as a historical attraction. I am absolutely livid and shaking that this company could be so cavalier with peoples mental health.
MoreThe beginning of the visit to this attraction is promising. Lots of interesting tidbits about the more macabre side of the bridges history. I just want to mostly warn people that the final leg of this journey is a "haunted house" style jump-scare type of experience that is not like the rest of the tour. If you do not like haunted house experiences, end the tour there. They do not stress enough how claustrophobic and scary this portion can be, they just sort of play it up as if its part of the allure. If you are into this type of experience, you will probably have fun.
MoreActors were OK..but all in all ..boring..wasnt scary no rides..wont be visiting again ..lthey tell the same stories as London dungeons..which is a far better experience..sorry
MoreThe London Bridge was pretty much "meh" in terms of experience. The "experience" part was rather disjointed and the "London Tombs" part was a straight up haunted house affair. They relied on cheap jump scares.
MoreWe visited london on a friday just for the day and Upon entering the London Bridge experience me and my family were met by a lovely, friendly and smiling young lady who explained everything to us and as usual we were a little early so she said we could wait in the bar. The experience started promptly at 3pm, and the atmosphere was brilliant from the moment we entered, the actors were very engaging and each one played their part extremely well and explained the history in a fun and informative manner. The props were some of the best Ive seen and there has been some great thought put into each and every area you visit. The final part where you experience the horror walk definitely keeps you on your toes but in a fun way, the actors here were excellent. It does last around 40 minutes and in my opinion is worth every penny, next time Im in London I will definitely visit again.
MoreI never write reviews, but I had to express the disappointment of this experience.I think it lastest 30 minutes in total, with half of it as a Halloween horror walk experience. Then the whole thing ends abruptly when you get to the other side.People are probably giving 5 star reviews because you can get a free soft drink after.Dont get me wrong, the first half with the actors was good... I thought the whole thing was going to be like that but it wasnt.DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
MoreA poor, cheap and partly boring experience. The shows were too long and drawn out, the scripts were dull and random, the actors were sub-par, the sets were cheap. The "tomb" bit at the end was bad. Very bad. Not scary, cheap, weird, awkward and completely inconsistent with any of the story/timeline we were discussing. The actor that lead us into the "tomb" bit was completely ignorant, joking about the idea of a trans person potentially being pregnant, laughing and saying "its ridiculous but I have to ask". This outdated unnecessary, time wasting bile he was spewing was completely unneeded and left a sour taste after leaving.I wont be back.
MoreThis was way more fun than I anticipated. Not only do they have a really cool tavern to chill in with a few cold ones while waiting for your tour, but the tour itself was also quite entertaining. Better than your average haunted house. Definitely recommended. We didnt have to wait very long at all even when buying tickets on site. Im not sure if we were just lucky or what. We were there in late afternoon on a weekend in August.
MoreThe detail in the live action was really amazing and how scary they managed to make the scene its very good and well worth the visit.
MoreSpecial thanks go to the wonderful ladies at the front of house who honoured my tickets after being unable to make our allotted time slot due to the train strikes and delays. It’s a good mixture of family friendly/historical learning as well as downright terrifying fun! The maze and catacombs at the end were genuinely frightening and the only thing that got me through was telling myself they couldn’t touch the audience. So don’t go through it if easily scared! The actors put on a great show and interact with the audience wonderfully- both with children and adults. There is one room in the maze at the end with very intense strobe lighting, so beware if you suffer from epilepsy or light sensitivity, because it was a lot to handle.
MoreAbsolutely brilliant day out if you like a little jump scare definitely the place to be , great hosts and actors/ actresses. If your visiting London for the first time its definitely a must along with other attractions, would definitely go again.
MoreThe London Bridge stories were so interesting and great fun. As for the tombs, I cried 😂 the actors in this were truly terrifying. Not for the faint hearted but well worth a visit if you enjoy a proper scare.
MoreDo not enter the tombs under the age of 12.. Especially also abide by rules of do not enter if heart conditions, Epilepsy, Asthma, or Pregnant.. With latter you will be of exceptional high risk of losing baby if you go to Tombs
MoreI dont recommend booking or paying ahead as there is a strict no refund policy. Its recommended for teens but, my 12 yr old found the waiting room gory and nauseating. Without going beyond the waiting room, we asked for money back and they wouldnt budge. Anything that deals with kids shouldnt operate this way. Its antiquated thinking, poor for marketing, not customer-centric and leads to bad word-of-mouth. BTW, it never sells out anyway.
MoreWould like to say a great big thank you to James whom i believe was the manager for his help and kindness.Through all the fun and scare my sister managed to lose her earring and James kindly went back over the whole experience until he found it. Well done James for all your effort. As for the experience that day it was brilliant, great staff great actors. Sadly we returned on the 22nd of June at 6pm to relive our delightful scare fest with differant guests, but the lady host on duty that evening that opened the experience did not have the same enthusiasm or welcome towards anyone, many rooms were skipped and hurried and her enactment of the experience sadly lacked any personality or welcome without enthusiasim, 25 mins from start to finish!!! Will definately go back but definately when James is there.GREAT VENUE GREAT FUN BUT WHEN THE RIGHT PEOPLE RUN THE PLACE AND REINACT.
MoreEverything was OK, kids were terrified of the tombs...One thing I didnt like or appreciate was that as I was going through the dark part with strobe lighting one of the staff down there thought it would be fun to bark at me to hurry up (that was fine, all in jestthen stuck her foot out and trip me up!! Really sly and makes you think maybe she has a bit of a spiteful streak....luckily I didnt fall forward and smash my head on the bath (propin front of me....really weird and off thing to do hence my low star review.
MoreI know I am responsible for this but I thought that an attraction that sells children tickets would not cross this line. I took my eleven year old and everything was fine until we reached the pub guy. He warned that if we had a heart condition or were claustrophobic should not proceed and leave at that moment. Well I would like to recommend to split the tickets in two. One up to this moment and adults only from this moment on. Because it was being kinda funny even. But from then on it was hell. There was another group with us, mainly children and 2 teachers with them. One of the girls fainted. My daughter started crying, wanted to go back, running away from it all, but there was no going back. I had to make her go on through the most terrifying experience of her life. She thought she would dye several times. As a mother I wish I’d never made her go through this hell. It is, in a historical sense, interesting to go up until the bar tender. The rest does not add anything, should be forbidden to children and only teaches you about panic emotions. Sometimes in a crowd.
MoreWhat an experience!!! Even though its been a few months since, Im still talking about how incredible this was. I Cant thank the staff enough for going above and beyond for my friends hen do. Weve already made plans to do it all over again later this year, I cant wait to be a zombie again.
MoreInformative and entertaining!I definitely learned a few things, such as how to cook and garnish a decapitated head to keep the birds away and the juices in.The actors have a script to follow, and arent able to improvise. Its understandable as they have a timetable/schedule to keep to; but it would be nice if the actors could interact with and react to the visitors. The tombs after the experience are good fun. It involves a lot of darkness, and strobe lighting, and wobbly floors, and the same few actors looming and jump scaring. The modified chainsaw is diesel powered which is unwise in an enclosed environment with poor ventilation. They should find a way to run a chainsaw without the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning, and without it smelling so bad.Altogether a great time, definitely do it if you can.
MoreVery scary.....great actors with awesome talent but if you are not fan of horror movies, then dont go. It will scare you like hell...
MoreWe came as a family with 2 seven year olds. We liked that they included the children in parts that were scary, but they used adults for the scary bits. We all had a really great time and it was good to link in with what the children had learned at school. Recommend for other families with older children but note that there is a ride at the end that has a height requirement, which sadly our children were just short of, but still an amazing time!
MoreGlad that it was not as scary as I thought and Im a HUGE scardy cat! The first part is historical with no scares, so its fine for younger ones. The second part has jump scares, noise and lights, but still moderately scary but fun. Only a few jump screams. Actors dont touch you and nothing pops out from above. London Dungeon is better from a education standpoint, this is better from a scarish standpoint.
MoreWorst experience ever! They said that it is suitable for kids but it for sure isn’t! They didnt even specify that we were gonna be entering the tombs they just sent us to the next room and it was the scariest thing I’ve ever seen. This experience was horrible i had many nightmares after this. They even said that if we looked really scared than the actors would back up but I was crying a lot and they could tell I was scared but they tried to scare me even more one of the actors even grabbed my arm. Even though I went there many months ago I am still traumatised till this day. DO NOT GO THERE!!!!
MoreThis was absolutely the best experience I had during my time in London. The show itself was absolutely scary, in a good way! You can tell the people working here are very happy and enthusiastic. If you go here, ask for Cheeky Charlie, he is incredibly nice and a loveable person. Matter of fact, he was the reason we went there in the first place. Love you Cheeky Charlie!
MoreIt was excellent. Great entertainment and I highly recommend visiting when in London. I think that if you dont go and visit the tombs the experience would not be as good to be honest. It has to be done
MoreThe bridge experience is fabulous! Lots of information, in a fun way, until the catacombs which were terrifying, in a good way! Please don’t go if you have epilepsy though, lots of strobe lighting and crazy sounds, however you can safely go and do everything before the catacombs.Great actors, zombies, and chainsaw crazies along the way!I really enjoyed this. Staff were lovely too. Not allowed pictures inside but I was able to get some just before the experience starts at the entry.
MoreNot worth the money! Not interactive, quite boring, the actors were as disinterested as we were.I was offered a discount on the street but it was still over £55!A treat for my children during the Easter holidays, wish I hadn’t bothered! Felt very rushed, we were out within 40 minutes!Don’t waste your money!
MoreWe visited the London Bridge Experience and Tombs on Sunday 8/8/21 and our timeslot was for 12:00. Arrived at 11:45 and was booked in quickly and efficiently. Went down the stairs and waited for the doors to open around 11:55.You go through around 4 different sets with the actors who were great, giving you a bit of gruesome history with a bit of comedy about London Bridge. I would say although the lighting needs to be dark and atmospheric I think the 1st room and the Roman room lighting needs to be adjusted slightly as you couldnt even see the actors faces. After the pub set/scene you are sent into the tombs which I think was around 10mins in duration. Great sets, actors and good fun with a few jump scares but not very scary in my opinion when I compare it to Broadwitch Hauntfests Biometrix scare maze or a house from Tulleys Shocktober fest. All in all a great fun experience and recommend doing. I just expected it to be a bit more scary. Also when I had watched youtube reviews people were saying the duration of the experience was an hour to an hour and 15 mins. It only lasted 40 mins for us so was a lot shorter than expected but still great and we enjoyed it.
MoreWow…I wasn’t expecting it to as scary as that!!! I took a 9 and 7 year old and I think in our little your group there wasn’t many left crying at the end 😂 the staff were lovely and I thoroughly enjoyed it! A must for a London visit if you enjoy being frightened!!
MoreAbsolutely fantastic experience.A bit hard to find, mind you, it would of helped if my phone was working right.. We had read it was opposite the station, turned out it was a mile down the road, so we took a stroll down the river Thames which was lovely. Saw a big ship. When we arrived at London Bridge and pay entry, you step into a waiting area with lots of decorations, stuff to read, old artefacts and money. When your slot comes your walked through by a guide, they take you to different themed areas and talk about the times back then. Its quite informative and very theatrical. Then you come onto the tombs, this whole area is decked out in frightening scenes with people jumping out on you, chainsaws (bladeless of coursetight spaces, compressed air, all sorts. Not for the faint hearted, check the website for medical conditions and health concerns, one lady did have to leave before entering. You also have the option to buy a photo they take of you pretending to be frightened, which my wife took the liberty of purchasing for £9...We both wore green, but my green was affected by the green screen which made for a interesting picture..Well worth a visit, and look for promo codes, we got 2 for 1 from train ticket purchase. We were also quite blessed with the weather as you can see... 😂🤔☔
MoreI would say this was one of our more memorable places on our trip. It is educational and a little scary. It starts with the educational stations and then they line you up to go through the scary tombs. Not too bad at all and the ice cream at the end is awesome.
MoreSo much fun! The actors are great and the sets are cool. Its not just jumpy, but atmospheric too, with creepy sights, sounds and even smells. They also cater for different scare levels, with a "guardian angel", standard or hardcore tour options, depending on when you go.
