Classic American bar fare & drinks in a lively setting with sports TV, games, & kids meal specials.
Horrible food and service. The food is blend, its more of a loud bar than a resturant. They should just keep to making drinks. The waitress was very unfriendly too.
The waitress was great. Very friendly and continuously checked to see if we needed anything. The Buffalo dip was very delicious and so was the Philly cheese steak. The kids loved their food. I was excited to find out we decided to try it on 75 cent wing night but the wings were kinda cooked dry and kind flavorless but over all will definetly be back.
We love this place! It’s very family friendly, the food is amazing, and the service was wonderful. My husband got the Backyard BBQ Burger and I got the lettuce burger, yes they have Keto friendly menu items here!! We will definitely be coming back soon!
Its okay, kind of expensive for bar like food. Not a big menu variety... server was great but dont think Ill be back to "eat" but drinks are good..Wouldnt really consider it a restaurant, more of bar with some food options.
It is nice when you can find a local restaurant with a good value and good food. I was impressed. The prices are in line with what you receive. Not cheap but not too expensive either. Again they have a good value.
the food here was horrible. I started with the turkey panini and it was disgusting. The cheese was cold and chewy, the sauces tasted like it was spoiled. All my food came out cold leftovers from yesterday. Next I opted for the burger which was dry, they cooked it well without even asking my preference. The onions tasted like the were microwaved and the bbq was watery and flavorless. The fries were surprisingly good.
Came into a nearly empty restaurant (2 patrons inside and 1 group outside). Waited for 6-7 minutes and never saw a host/hostess or employee. It seemed there were two employees smoking and talking outside with the outside group. It was unfortunate. We were hoping to give the place a try but left and went elsewhere.
The food is great. Though, I will say that they started skimping on the fries/ tater tots randomly. We ordered a side of fries and got 13 fries. Thought it was abnormal the first time but then we brought a group and it was the first thing they noticed and mentioned.
The restaurant called me to tell me that half the things I ordered was no longer available. So ordered something else. However they promised me a refund for my previous order. I was still charged for the previous order and never got the refund. The restaurant charged me twice for both the previous order and the second order. It cost me $60. Its been over two weeks and I still have not recieved my refund. Dont go to this restaurant! They will just steal from you even when they screw up your order. The food wasnt even good
The cheese steak is good and the burgers are also pretty good. Unfortunately they were out of their Italian sausage sub as well as wings which were both marked on the menu as signature dishes. Ill return to try them in the future.
Jess was our server. She was very sweet, attentive, gave prompt attention to a minor issue with my meal- I had the Shrimp Piccata and found it to be a bit to be desired, however my son enjoyed his burger and fries. I snuck.a couple of fries and they were really good. I wish the chef had been a bit more generous with the portion of fries. I thoroughly enjoyed the Greek salad. Come on Wednesday! 2 entrees for 20 and half price glasses of wine!!! Thank you, Jess. We will be back.
I tried this spot for the first time last night. I was so disappointed by how underwhelming the food was, and how small the sandwich was. Our server was super sweet though and honest in her recommendations! Sounds like the restaurant is under new management. Be warned... between three meals, nobody felt like it was worth the price.
We ordered grilled chx sandwich. The chicken was dry with zero flavor. Burger King is better. Also ordered a philly. Supposed to be best on the menu. Gross! Tasted like dog food. Horrible. Our bill was $70 bucks and could have ate better at Burger King. Will NOT be back!
Came back to give this place a 2nd chsnce and it was worse than the 1st time. The waitress was a real pain in the a**and the food was almost as bad as she was. A real bad attitude. The only thing good was the music bingo.Do yourself a favor and eat at Taco Bell
I have way to many Good things to say about this place from the staff to the bartenders. They go over and beyond to make new customers feel like they are family. I would like to give a personal shout out to Donny the restaurant manager, who has been amazing and has shown nothing but the best customer service towards me and my girlfriend. I would recommend this Bar/Restaurant to anyone looking for good meal and a GREAT time.
Had a lot of fun here. The food was really good, and our server did an exceptional job tending to us.I felt the price was very reasonable for everything we ordered.I will come back to this little gem in the future, and will definitely bring friends to experience this place as well.
This was my first visit to the LoKal and it has some serious love for its comfort bar food so Ill definitely be back. The staff are so welcoming and nice, you never feel forgotten. The tomato basil soup is phenomenal, it just makes you feel warm and happy. I also highly reccomend their philly cheesesteak, they definitely dont shy away from the cheese. Cocktails are also prepared well, and are on the right price point. The atmosphere is welcoming and the TVs always have the games on.In summary, if youre looking for a great local spot with good food drinks and atmosphere, you need to check out the LoKal
The turkey panini was delicious. I got half a sandwich and a side salad (also greatfor $6 on the lunch special. The half sandwich was bigger than it appears in the photo. I would gladly order this again, and you can’t beat the price. The vodka mule is one of my faves but I also tried their Perfect Margarita, it’s good, but I do prefer the mule. The giant pretzel is actually giant, be ready to share. The only thing I didn’t care for is that it’s fried, that was really weird to me. I prefer baked and doughy. The flavor of the pretzel and the beer cheese was really amazing aside from that. Customer service is also great. This place has a small outdoor patio as well as a separate game room with consoles great for kiddos.
Small place, but very, very friendly. Our server, I believe her name was Jess was absolutely awesome - very attentive and friendly. I had the burger, which was pretty good, not the best, and my boyfriend had the meatball sub which he loved. The fries are awesome! The prices are very, very fair, two meals and a glass of wine was $30! We enjoyed trivia on a Thursday, and did pretty well to my boyfriends surprise. The owner or manager checked in with us multiple times to ensure our food was good and to see how we were doing on the Trivia. Will be back soon.
Great food and service with good prices too. The Philly was excellent
Great atmosphere, nice menu selection. The service could have been a proje faster ATMs more attentive. The food was delicious
This place is everything that a neighborhood pub should be. Cozy place, great view on the water, helpful staff and friendly patrons. But best of all, the owner takes pride in the place, listens to his patrons, and sees to it that the food and total experience is top-notch.
Great little restaurant. The interior was quite comfortable and a local tavern type feel. The food was fantastic! Everyone in our party of five got something different and each person really enjoyed their food. The french fries were delicious as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Well definitely be back!
Pretty good food my only complaint I wish that the menu on the website was updated. We called in a Togo order and two things we wanted they no longer had. Great burgers though.
Just moved to Acworth and we are trying all the local restaurants and tried this place for the first time. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left we felt very comfortable and welcome. The host that seated us was very friendly and welcoming and the waitress was also and very attentive. We have had bad service many places but not here. The food was amazing. We will be coming back and bringing the rest of the family. We probably just found our new favorite place to eat😊👍❤
Great neighborhood bar with good people. The diversity of the menu lacks a little bit but is made up for by the pleasant people who work here. The food is very good. I would definitely recommend this place as a stop on the way home or a quick night out.
Wouldnt let me review without at least 1 star, but would give a zero seeing that we had to walk out without being waited out. Walked in and was greeted. We asked if we just needed to pick a seat and they said yes. We picked a seat and sat forever and no one came to wait on us. At least 4 people working, maybe 2 other people in restaurant. Wont be back.
My first time there. I went there for a large birthday party. They were very accommodating. Im not sure how other customers liked that, because there was not a separate room, and we were near the bar. I went early to have dinner first. I ordered a turkey pannini and it was very large and delicious. I will be back. This restaurant is at the front of a very large neighborhood, Legacy Park, and has become a local hangout. A very laid back, friendly atmosphere.
Very nice place, kids loved it and the drinks were good.
The latest concept at this address is good. The food quality is good. The atmosphere can be loud sometimes as locals like to hang here and can get loud. They had some of the best grits I have ever eaten.
Great atmosphere great service but none of our food was very good. Im giving four stars because I did love the atmosphere, service and they are a great family friendly or just adults night place. They have an Xbox room that my son lived. I am hoping that the menu maybe expands and the food gets better with time, maybe try new recipes for the gumbo, jambalaya, shrimp and grits etc. The drinks are also good.
Good food, pleasant place. Service was poor, with multiple mistakes on a simple lunch order.Update to owners response: 10/26, seated at noon. Dont know if problem was with server or kitchen. Cup vs bowl of soup, feta on side request ignored on greek salad, request for jalapenos on sandwich ignored.
The Philly cheesesteak was good, with very generous portions. BUT, they no longer carry fish tacos and I spoke to the store and told them that was fine, did they have any other fish? The man said that he could do a FISH wrap. I received my order and the pictures tell all.... I got 6 shrimp and two tortillas. My daughter is allergic to shrimp, so I opened up the side salad I ordered to find just lettuce with a side of vinaigrette.I felt too guilty to even eat my cheesesteak as she sadly munched on lettuce for dinner. All of that could have been avoided if he just said “I am going to randomly give you shrimp instead of fish” and I would have ordered something altogether different. It was a very quiet “dinner” at our house
My husband and I have come to the restaurant several times for food or just a drink after a long day. We’ve also had to go orders! We have never had a problem with our order, always fresh and taste delicious. We’ve always been so impressed with the owner and his friendly demeanor. He always keeps us coming back!
I have only ordered through doordash so I can not speak on the service. First time I ordered there were a couple items missing, the second time I ordered I got a call from doordash stating the restaurant said they could not accommodate my order because they were busy....weird and major bummer. I personally would not have minded waiting a little longer but I wasn’t given that option. To me doordash is the same as calling in Togo, so do they turn those orders down too? Aside from the missing items and not being able to order at all the next time, the food I did receive was pretty good. Especially the shrimp and grits which had shrimp, andouille, and crawfish! I also had a side of broccoli and the grilled cheese bites which were both pretty decent. Unfortunately the cheese bites arrived with fries instead of the soup which is what I really wanted to try.Needless to say, maybe it’s best to just dine in at this place.
food, and service were both top notch. And the prices were more than reasonable. The menu shows a creative flair including my personal favorite. Capt Crunch shrimp. The only thing keeping them from 5 starts is a shortage of parking.
This place is going down hill , it use to be our favorite local spot . Not anymore food doesn’t taste good , first time we said it was OK maybe the chef is having a bad day ,second time we said let’s give them another chance this time we are moving on. Burger is always overlooked tomatoes are old please refer to pictures. The Philly cheesesteak’s bread is all mushy and wet and the fries portion is getting smaller they are also oily and overcooked as well .
The LoKals menu contains a wide variety of options without over extending its kitchens ability to produce quality appetizers, entrees and desserts. The bar has a pretty good selection of wine (they were out of some of the better ones listed each time we visited), liquor (though theyre missing some of our favorite brandsand beer ... they have beer in spades! The atmosphere is what you might expect of a neighborhood restaurant ... casually dressed folks listening to broadcast music, watching sports on the screens or engaged in conversations.Good energy, good food, good service thats worth the drive even if you dont live in Legacy Park.
Fun little place filled with friendly people. Drinks and food are relatively cheap. My only complaint is the music volume after 9:30 on the weekends. The music selection is good but its so LOUD you can only enjoy if comfortably from the patio, otherwise youll find yourself yelling just to talk.
The food was delicious and the service was great. We are now regulars here and have had a great dinner and very good service each time.
Good food and menu options. I love the Ceaser salad with salmon and the side of broccoli is awesome (I’m a garlic fan). Really cool game room for the kids but limited game selection for 5-6 year olds. Crayons and paper would be a great addition for the younger kiddos. While I have no issues with the speed or level of service (always quick), as a Lokal neighborhood dinner spot I’d love if the servers were a bit more personable. The owner is friendly and we appreciated him stopping by our table to say hello. We will definitely be returning.
Good food, and open late. Sometimes it is eight oclock before I get home from work, and I hate rushing in at closing time. My wife and I sampled the menu, having grilled cheese and tomato soup. She had a side of cheese grits. I opted for a caprese salad and hot wings. We ate family style, and everything was good. We will definitely be back.
Had a good time. Affordable, good food for the entire family. My kids ate the food. They had $2 domestic and $4 craft beers. Kids menu was like 5 or 6 bucks. They have like 15 Xbox games which kept my kids occupied. We will be back again soon.
My family and I had a great experience and the service was good. The food was great and portions was reasonable for the price. We also liked that the owner came by the table to make sure everything was good and ok. We will be coming back more often.
We are regulars. Eat here atleast three times per week. And the food is great! Here’s what to try... wings, tomato basil soup, best you’ll ever have, captain crunch shrimp is yummy, spring rolls, delicious and made in house, PHILLY Cheesesteak is the bomb, we have a hard time NOT ordering it every single time because it’s so good, burgers are great, and for a little neighborhood bar, the steak is fantastic, add the mashed potatoes and a side salad and it Gives all the steakhouses in town a run for their money? The Gouda grits are ridiculously good. Service is great. Just go check it out.
My family loves eating at The LoKal. We went in last night with a party of 12. We were seated in the game room, which the kids love. Our server, Bri, was fast, friendly, and helpful. Everyone enjoyed their meals, even the two in the party who needed their meals changed up quite a bit due to dietary restrictions. The restaurant was very accommodating to that. We have loved everything we have ordered at The LoKal, especially the Philly Cheesesteaks and the Captain Crunch shrimp appetizer. Great food, service, and atmosphere at a great price. We will keep coming back!
Great food and excellent service. Super busy Saturday night but everything was awesome! I had a Philly cheese steak. The wife had wings, and my daughter had kids tenders. We also shared the loaded tots which were a healthy portion as well as delicious. Great drink specials and excellent kids space with Xboxes. Well definitely be back. My favorite spot right now!
First the shrimp in the shrimp cocktail were warm , the second plate requested was filthy , the water tastes terrible , ok the steak although cooked to perfection it was tasteless , broccoli raw, potatos way too much garlic in them. Cool atmosphere the sign on the wall says take it or leave it Ill leave it alone .
Affordable prices! Most service good. Burger was a bit over cooked. Mac n cheese was a bit mushy. Flavors of food were spot on!
My family treated me to birthday dinner, awesome atmosphere...lots of tvs with a variety of things to watch ither than football. 2 of the owners were on hand and came to our table, great guys. Our server Ashley was on point and was there ready to assist in a great experience. I see great things happening for this establishment!
