The Liguanea Club in New Kingston

I made a stop at JD Bar and Grill and it was simply amazing

I play tennis here, Love the efficiency and privacy. Very professional staff

Great spot in the heart of New Kingston. If you love racquet sports its the place to spend Lavish weekends.

Clean and friendly services of staff, the ground is Immaculate. Prices are really affordable. You wont regret going there.

This place was excellent. My family went to spend time with relatives in in JA and stayed here. The staff were pleasant, rooms and grounds clean with many amenities. We played ping pong, took the kids to the mini playground, could have played tennis, and had relatives come and hang out at the pool with us. They also have great, fresh food and a bar that made good drinks. Although, the Wi-Fi was kind of spotty at times and everything shut down around 9:30 pm on the grounds, overall it’s a great place to stay.

Ive said it before and Ill say it again. The ambiance is just right, but there are still areas that need upgrading. The wooden floors that creek as you walk in rooms and main foyers, the internet service needs to be in all rooms. Bed is comfortable, continental breakfast is very delightful and filling 🥧 and staff is accommodating and friendly. Pool is completely out of service which wasnt listed when I booked, so swimsuit was unnecessary to bring. The world class tennis courts were in full swing with students and trainers. I will still visit again for the class that I enjoy exists here, clean room, well presented amenities and the atmosphere

As a member Liguanea Club provides modern recreational facilities, fitness & yoga classes and other amenities perfect for todays working professional. It has something for everyone including the exquisitely maintained hotel.

I stayed with my mom and we were very impressed with the amazing service from the entire staff. Located in New Kingston it is walking distance to the bank, Emacipation Park, restaurants and more essential places. To management (Mr. Walker & Janice), front desk (Jermaine), and the restaurant team thank you for your impeccable services.

Rooms are nice, but service needs work. Communication between front desk staff seems lacking. Dining room slow even when just 3 tables are being served. Servers need to listen to requests. Asked for orange juice no ice 3 times before they got it correct. Ordered egg white omelette and got it without cheese they forgot the ham and bacon side orders too. I am still waiting for my copy of the invoice to be emailed to me too which I was promised I wouldve gotten at check out. After waiting more than 5 minutes, I left as I didnt want to miss my bus.

Landscaping is awesome and property seems well maintained. Great for outdoor event... WiFi is quite weak.

Beautiful as usual but was really there for the art and craft exhibit but the sun was extremely hot for such an outdoor setting

Three star hotel at best. The rooms are sparsely decorated and the breakfast that comes with the rate is barely a breakfast. The bar closes at 8pm as well.

Some part of the hotel plant needs repair and renewal. Some security urgently need retraining or reassignment,displaying a power intoxicated rather than sober engaging approach.

I like the place very good I know Im clean. Are very friendly and you know youre comfortable I like it I will say five-star all the way because I will be back for a quiet place very clean and nice and you know your to you happy you feel comfortable security. You dont even have to worry where are you so Im coming back.

Private establishment. No closing time on pool except during cleaning. Rooms are clean and hot water is always available. Security guards are really polite as well

What makes the Liguanea Club remarkable is its staff. From the General Manager who made every effort to ensure my needs were met, to the front desk receptionists and the housekeeping team, everyone was amiable and assisted in making my short stay a pleasant one. Some facilities and the landscape are in need of improvement but generally, my experience was a good one.

First I love the security at the gate she is amazing. Secondly I love the secretary forgot her name but they are so nice. My room was ok clean for sure.. It was a good experience I would go back...

We ate on the patio where there was a delightful breeze. I had the curried goat with "buss up shut". The curry was amazing!! My teenager boys had fried chicken and potato wedges... nothing was left on their plates. The rest of the menu made my mouth water, Ill have to return to try more.The service was friendly and knowledgeable, thumbs up all the way around.

Ideal place to bring the whole family. Staffs are amazing especially receptionist Roxanne. Yesterday was my birthday and Ive ask initial when booking to have a birthday note, when I arrive I got a bottle of wine. Best birthday ever,Ill be visiting back in October and November.

We booked 3 nights here, and wanted to change the moment we got there but was too late to do so,but next morning we cancelled the remaining 1 nights. There was cockroaches and red ants, bathroom was not completely clean as if the person just forgot about it. The room we paid for was not the one given. They wanted to make up for it but we already changed our minds about staying.

I visited in about 2017 and it was not bad, but the WiFi was very slow and the pool wasnt cleaned during the time I was there because there was always leaves and dirt floating on the waters surface. Our room however was nice enough. And it is at a pretty central and convenient location because Burger King, KFC and so on is in walking distance from the hotel.

Very convenient location which is right in the heart of new Kingston. Also amazing customer service by the staff especially by the GM. I had to leave the hotel before breakfast time and so I relayed the information to the general manager. He was very courteous. He had me order my breakfast from the night before and at 6 my meal was packaged and ready for the road. Also the grounds were beautiful and clean. I definitely recommend staying here.

New JDs restaurant at Liguanea Club has great food and great service. Tables are covered by roof but open to outdoors so no covid worries. Lovely bar as well.

the club is very a very prestigious reputation for being an exclusive club with a rich history. I visited to support a tennis tournament. the grounds are well kept and they have accommodation on site. they have a squash court and a swimming pool as well. the changing rooms are kept clean and an attendant was always present when I visited. the sport shop is also relatively well stocked.

Ive been to conferences/workshops at liguanea club twice now, once in 2018 and once in 2020. Both times the staff was unfriendly and the facilities lacking - small rooms and walls so thin we could hear the prayers of the meeting next door, literally. They are very disorganized as well, not delivering items that had been paid for by the organizer because they had been lent to other meetings.... It was a mess. At first I thought that it was a fluke but when I went back a year and a half later it was the same. I am not anxious to attend anything else there.

Really shocked and disappointed with my one day stay here. Booked to enjoy the pool and the restaurant but they do not serve any food or drinks after the brunch morning service. Im here alone and reception told me if i go out for food i wouldnt be safe! Walked out very scared and got a terrible kfc around the corner came back to enjoy the pool only to find they had rented it out for a big kids party! Totally ruined my visit here, would never of booked it if i knew they do this on Sundays. Terrible way to treat guests who pay a lot to stay here :(

The Place is gorgeous and easy to access from the main road. The staff are very pleasant ... The room as bunk beds I dont know how you feel about that but they are neat ,also the rooms are cool once the air conditioner is on then a fan mix the air making it cool 😎.

The facilities were okay but customer service was less than satisfactory. During our meeting, the a/c became too cold. On three occasions spanning one and a half hours, we requested the ac remote, however a technician didnt come to the room until our meeting ended. Other than that it was a good visit.

It was good. I went there for an Information Session and I was comfortable. The building is beautiful and furniture comfortably arranged. The staff are very pleasant. The meeting room was an adequate size. The plus was that the noise outside the room was significantly reduced and did not affect the meeting. There are various activities and classes for adults and children who are members of the club to engage in while there.

The rooms are very nice and breakfast was lovely too. There was allot of noise coming from persons on the corridor. The other facilities are not so nice eg the pool. If you love tennis though this is the place to be

My visit was confined to a small conference room. The ambience was good. Bathrooms were at the entrance. They could take a little freshening up. Staff were pleasant. I will be having frequent meetings here so I wait to see how things will transition.

The dinner menu??? What who even knows what these items are can you people get real and serve items that the average person recognizes and might possibly eat this is Jamaica no rice no potatoes not even a green salad is available you must be joking the seating and the service is very poor also I’m very disappointed please fix thisWon’t be eating here again

This members club is one of the best in Jamaica. It offers tennis, squash and other activities. They have a pool and a very nice restaurant which has excellent food and an awesome bar service. It is located in the very heart of New Kingston and is therefore central and within walking distance to everything in the area.

Very nice place! Old but well maintained and clean. Very green, even hummingbirds enjoying the garden. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice sports facilities. Great food. Highly recommended.

The staff were wonderful, treated us well. The bedroom and breakfast room were overrun by tiny tiny ants they bit us continuously. They had a pool and tennis courts. The breakfast area was wonderful. Loved it, stayed three nights

Excellent service. Very friendly and helpful staff. They go beyond what you ask and do it all with smiles. The waiters at the restaurant were amazing and the bartender even created a delicious mixed drink based on my wine taste. I will definitely be a returning guest.

Very bad experience. Although I had my reservation booked and confirmation number from booking, they didnt accept it! They said I was not in their system and, since they were fully booked (???for that night, they sent me to a different hotel at my expenses and made a manual reservation from the day after for 5 nights. I went back the day after and I found out I was only booked for the first 3 nights, then out, and again 1 night. After further discussing, they told me I could stay for 5 nights and they were gonna basically kick out the person who was supposed to have my room during my fourth night (same thing they did with me when I arrived).The first day I paid 10 EU for breakfast. The second day they tried to charge me more, even though there was way less food. The third day I had breakfast outside.If you ever decide to book here, make sure you double check directly with them if your reservation has been received and accepted.Anyway, the atmosphere in this place is somewhat heavy. You can tell people are not a all friendly and do nothing to hide it.

The floors in this hotel are so loud. I can hear every single person walking in the hallway. The staff is not the friendliest; a bit unapproachable. There is a cool water pool, tennis court and such. No restaurant and a small convenience store. There are restaurants and eateries from walking distance. The hotel and rooms are not in their best shape. Lots of security to get any guests in due to the fact that this is a country tennis club.
