Cosy pub with very friendly staff. The vegan burger was absolutely delicious!

Good wine selection. Live music playing too which made for good atmosphere.

The only reason this is not a 1 star is because of the pub manager who served us - actually really cares about this pub and his job.But the experience this Saturday night was really bad. Made a reservation over autoanswering on the call, then hostess could not find our reservation. Took 10 minites to be seated at the table, but nobody was in front of us.In total it took 35 minutes to just get the drinks. I understand that restaurants can get understaffed, this is normal. But the big mistake here is offering table service. They should have just said that we can order drinks at the bar, would have taken so much less time.When we eventually got the drinks, the gentleman who brought them litterly said:“Here is your beer and whatever this is (aperol)” It then turned out he was a bar back, which is fair enough. But why would anybody send a barback to serve? Again, just don’t offer table service if you are understaffed.The food situation was not great either. Olives just did not arrive. Pie that husband ordered was cold inside 🙈My chicken salad was good and big enough.The cherry on top of this experience was a group of people that were so drunk they were litterly screaming 😱 Not just loud ( this is fine, its pub at the end of the daybut screaming like wild animals, which is over the board. There still should be some standards for behaviour in public places.The pub is super beuatiful with top notch interior, but service and food are very bad. Just come here for drinks only and not in the evening.

I came here for dinner on Thursday evening with two visiting Aussie and Kiwi friends, who wanted traditional pub grub, and we were not disappointed.They had a wonderful menu and excellent variety of drinks. The food was delicious and the staff were exceptionally attentive and amazingly friendly. The pub is spacious and very well kept, with a beautiful beer garden out the back and I would definitely say that this place has a lovely neighbourhood vibe. They do quiz/games nights and they even have board games to keep you entertained.As I have said, they have a lovely food menu, which caters for all, and their staff were wonderful, especially the lady who was behind the bar, I assume she was the manager and the bearded man, I think he sounded Scottish, who took our table order and sorted our drinks and bill.What an amazing menu and great customer service. Well be back for one of your quiz.

I’ve always driven past this place but never visited as it is a few more minutes walk past the Latchmere. I eventually ventured inside and was pleasantly surprised. Great pub inside. Feels like a community. Nice crowd too. The range of beers was good and they were serving 1 litre steins to celebrate Oktoberfest. Well worth a visit.

Weren’t taking orders at the bar and the app automatically adds a service charge. Really poor and unwelcoming management from what used to be a nice pub.

Drinks were flat, if you like beer this is not for you.As I write this review the serving lady has just rolled her eyes as I ordered a beer. A little bit my fault I suppose, i did ask if beers normally have bubbles.1 out of five stars, they get one because the chips were good.

Not kids friendly !!! Don’t even think bringing kids for Sunday lunch here…Not the best of experiences, especially when everyone is really careful where to spend their money on and if you get what you paid for. This place is definitely not the case.If you want to spend £1000 for a big table of 15 adults with 5 kids, and be treated poorly, served flat beer and staff giving you attitude, then this is a must visit pub.…

Great welcome food was good but the drinks were flat sent them back next ones were the same, we were there celebrating a birthday, great garden area so stayed on for several hours, Not sure what was wrong gin and tonic flat rum and coke flat, maybe something they use to wash the glasses but did spoil the experience

Came here to try food as we live in the area and always pass by it. The chicken was lovely, fish and chips were amazing and the drinks were perfect for the hot sizzling summer. It’s best to come when they just open. Avoiding the crowds to enjoy peaceful lunch

Absolutely cracking food & service.Korean chicken burger was 🔥and chicken schnitzel was bloody good as well. Decent sized portions.Staff were attentive and friendly.Atmosphere was cool as well.

Waited 45 mins for a cheesecake and hot chocolate. Its a pub however they over charge for the drinks and food. The people that work there are rude and unprofessional. I would give it 0 stars

Great pub with lots of good options. The food and particularly the bar snacks are great. Lots of different drink options available as well. There is lots of seating space and the back garden seating space is great as well.

Just a random find when my partner and I were around in Battersea and desperately trying to find a place to eat, as the first pub we went to had a party and loud music, and we were too tired for that. We both loved it, such a lovely vibe and bugers were amazing. We have visited twice and just know well be back again! 🥰

Quiz every Monday, it is so funny and a good way to start the week. The food is amazing, tasty and really good for the price. The waitress are amazing and the service is fast even jn a busy day as a quiz day. Really recommended.

Disgusting food - ordered items including bottle of wine and chips which never arrived via app. The waiter was totally vacant and couldn’t be bothered with anything .Won’t be coming here ever again! I thought this was meant to be nice?!

Went on a Sunday afternoon but ate from the main menu. The burger was tasteless and got a paltry amount of chips that were quite strange in texture. Chicken wings weren’t nice at all. Would avoid the food here unfortunately.

Pretty disappointing visit. Ordered on the app and by the time our mains came we still hadn’t gotten our drinks or water, no apology for this either. They were out of the chicken roast at 2pm. Ordered the burger with bacon but no bacon came in it. I was told I’d get a refund but no one ever came back. The burger itself was very average, and some of it was burnt. My friend got the beef roast and it was overcooked. The staff never came over to ask how the food was and we couldn’t grab their attention either to raise these issues.

Lovely place, food and wine. Lights on the edge of being too low and music inaudible.Lovely staff and amazing outdoor space. Bathrooms need updating and a spot of investment but worth a visit

Decent choice of craft beers, couple of cask. Nice surroundings and lovely staff. Wings and chips are a good lunchtime snack for a tenner.

We had quite high hopes for the food as have eaten a nice roast here before, but on this occasion, sadly, the food was not good. Nachos with really fake cheese, and overcooked, dry food and expensive wine. Possibly because it was the end of the day but the food just didn’t feel very fresh or well cooked. Not good !

A wonderful local pub to visit, for great food and a relaxed atmosphere. Sunday roasts are amazing and a very good portion size for most meals on offer. I have been back many times and will keep going back!

Nice garden area, staff polite and helpful. Good range of beers, quick service, food decent and large portions. 4 stars rather than 5 as the food could be improved slightly- there was no salad or coleslaw with the burger and chips, though in fairness this was clear from the menu.

Beautiful park, and an amazing Japanese pagoda. We had a small memorial ceremony there with friends and it was the perfect place for that. Maybe the weather could have been better though ^^ since we released burning lanterns

My friend booked a table for 4 of us to have Sunday lunch here and after reading some of the reviews I was a bit unsure about the place, so I am very happy to report an all round very good experience.Our table in the garden was lovely and it is a nice setting. The staff were friendly and efficient and the Sunday roast was delicious - the beef was aperfectly cooked medium rare and super tasty and tender. I do think the roast potatoes could have been better though. We finished with an assortment of ice creams and the sticky toffee pudding and we were all very complimentary. All this washed down very easily with a couple of bottles of yummy cotes de provence rose.Its not the cheapest place but I prefer to pay a bit more for roast beef and get a good quality meat, as here. With regards to paying a service charge for drinks, it is very easy when ordering on the app to remove this charge. Recommended.

Made welcome the moment I arrived after being new to the area. I asked if the pub was fully booked for the England v Czech Republic match the following night and the manager arranged for me to have a good table, after squeezing me in.I enjoyed a good meal and a good few beers. A great atmosphere with great staff and a fun clientel. Can highly recommend. Great pub

The macaroni and cheese my daughter had was fantastic but the chicken wings were bland, the fish & chips I had the batter was over done.Staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful, although there was a few dogs in the pub and the staff were touching them and serving drinks and food after. A big no no in my bike. Only assisted should be allowed in places that serve food.

The atmosphere was lovely in the garden and the staff were friendly but we waited over an hour for our roast dinner. When it did arrive it looked great however, it was cold and the beef was very tough. It took a lot to grab the staffs attention, so we gave up and ate it in the end (we were very hungry). We would usually stay for another drink after a roast dinner but didnt think it was worth waiting around for.

Was working down the road in the estate, told the lads take them for Lunch as a thank you... Were seated in back, nice outside area with canopy.. First round 2 Guinness and Amstel, ordered burger and chips twice, had another round .... asked for bill....... Could have Knocked me down with a feather.....£70.31 ... for a quick lunch, needless to say Wetherspoons next week...🙏

Nice pub and good food. Unfortunately our food took more than an hour to come out but credit to the staff; they really took care of us and handled it really well. Not often in the area but would definitely head back to watch sport or for a leisurely Sunday roast.

Both the food and the drinks were great. The bar staff were so helpful and just made you feel at home. They were quick to serve the food and clear the table and not having to pay upfront for the food made a nice change. I’d recommend going here, it’s a really nice pub.

We had our Christmas dinner here. Festive lights & tree set the scene. We had twenty people, everyone enjoyed the food. Staff really freindly & helpful. I was recommended a hot gin...never had before v nice. Our bar tender was great. Well done .

Came here for a Sunday roast, it was suppose to be rare rump beef, it was massively overcooked and chewy.The potatoes were undercooked and tasteless, as were the other vegetablesWhen the server asked how the meal was I said the above and he just said "oh was it"? And took the plates and left.No apology or acknowledgement. Wont be going back.

Lovey pub. Wonderful indoor and outdoor spaces. Good selection of beers and polite, friendly, happy, helpful staff.They were running a half price meat free Monday’s deal for August but I was there on muscles Wednesday. (Bowl of muscles and a glass of vino for £12looked good - as did all the food but I was just just drinking the local Dennis Hopper IPA.The light house is a great pub but with a mostly male team the ladies toilets get over looked. My guest was disappointed at the toilet paper stuck in the wall behind the door and the filthy toilets. She thought they probably never see the hole as they clean the loos from the door and therefor the door hides the hole. Still, no excuse for the dirty loo. I will defiantly be returning for Monday supper

Welcoming place with really nice front of house staff. Food however wasnt great. My pork belly roast was really bad - dry meat and leather like crackling with a cold Yorkshire pud. I quietly took it to our waiter who with any fuss replaced it. The burger however wasnt too impressive either very dry patty. I didnt complain further however my place was complimentary anyway. Just shows they are getting customer service bang on.Would happily return for a drink with family and friends but not for food.Selection of beers good, beer garden great and nice open main room great for groups of friends and family.

Really friendly pub. Took my dog in and the staff were very welcoming. We went for brunch during the rugby and the bloody Marys were great. Had some lunch later which was good, the burger was amazing.
