The Standard Spa, 40 Island Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139, United States, Miami Beach
Stylish hangout offering creative Mediterranean fare, drinks & a bayside deck at The Standard.
Overall the Standard Spa hotel is amazing. I had breakfast at Lido restaurant. Let me say even with the pouring rain, this place was amazing.Ordered the breakfast croissant sandwich... Most HUMONGOUS sandwich ever! It was packed and delicious to say the least.... The bacon was to die for. Thick thick cut- incredible! Coffee was great, variety of choices on the menu was well giving and everything looked and tasted amazing- which is rare in South beach. The team was upbeat, accommodating for my son with a high chair, super attentive and sweet. From the hostess, servers and manager Ernie, who was incredible too, I really only have compliments and a desire to visit again soon!Place is great for a family occasion or date night. Beautiful views and ambiance!
Weve been coming every Saturday for a long time, and we miss the old menu!!!!!The new one is limited, pretentious and overpriced, the shakshuka tasted like it came from a jar, service was great as always and we miss the crispy egg sandwich!
Service incredible. New menu not good at all. We ordered the shashuka but nothing like a real Israeli shashuka. Bread super greasy. Bring back the top notch old breakfast options.
Nice view & good oysters… but highly disappointed at the Miami spice menu. The mushroom toast was okay, and the red snapper was bland. I had to add a ton of salt n lime to give it flavor- they’d be better off offering a blackened fish sandwich. I also thought it was really weird that they added mascarpone cheese to the fresh mango gelato dessert, it killed the refreshing vibe.Oysters were really delicious and fresh! But the mostly Spanish-speaking staff made it very difficult to even find out what kind they were.Maybe it’s the New Yorker in me, but Miami really needs to up their game with service and educating their staff, plus making sure that they actually fully speak and understand English especially when it comes to the specifics of what is in the food. If you are selling seafood your staff should be able to answer questions like is it local or wild caught and know what the name of the oysters are and what region they come from. The tropical cocktail I got on the happy hour menu without alcohol was good. I would come here for sunset views a drink and oysters or maybe french fries next time, not for a real nourishing dinner especially at the mainstay prices.
Yea so food is good but they legit take forever, super slow service and half our party couldn’t have dinner bc there was no spots at the valet so they had to leave. Not returning
I loved spending my mother in laws birthday here. We planed it as a surprise and she loved it too. The only complaint I have is that we asked one of the waiters to take a picture of us by the ocean and he replied very rudely “I am very busy right now” I truly understand if you are busy and I respect it, but it was the way and how rude he said it that made me feel bad, and even embarrassed.Makes you leave with a bitter taste after a great time.
We had a fantastic vegan scramble for brunch here. The location and food were outstanding, but a special shout out to our server Madison who went above and beyond to personally check on the ingredients in the scramble for our eldest daughter’s food allergies. Cannot recommend this place highly enough because of Madison’s amazing service.
Dinner for my bachelorette! It was AMAZING! Loved trying all of the appetizers. Never a lag in service and the drinks were phenomenal. Thank you!
Nice restaurant. The only issue is parking. You have to cross the bridge, park your car and then walk back to the restaurant.
Valet parking was full and the restaurant was literally empty. Front staff rude, employees dont have uniform. Food is trash. Very little to no options for food.
I was so ready to have a nice solo diner here— since I’ve had amazing experiences at The Standard’s in NYC.But here, That customer service is truly lacking and not a vibe at all. I was waiting for the longest and was ignored. I lost my appetite and left after my cocktail :/ the ocean view is pretty but the service (maybe it was my specific waiters idk. truly lacks. Very dissatisfied.
The venue and views at the Lido are spectacular. Dined in for sunset and the views were spectacular! I give it 3 stars because the food was ok, a little overpriced, in my opinion, for the food quality. Also, THERE IS NO PARKING after 6pm. only valet and it’s $30 first 3 hrs…
Great staff, very accommodating as we had a to move tables more than once due to rain. The views are lovely, and the outdoor seating is such a nice upscale beach vibe (when its not raining). The humidity makes it pretty warm in summer, but they have plenty of umbrellas, misters, and fans. I had the chicken sandwich and my friends had the oysters. It is a bit pretty pricy, but the food was good, and youre paying for the views and staff.
We had a reservation at 6:45 and arrived early even with troubles for valet. Yet we were told we had to rush our dinner for no absolute reason. Do not recommend. Food overpriced. The view is the only reason you should go.
This place don’t tell you anything regarding parking. I did a reservation and I was eating at the restaurant when my car was towed. The waitress knew that my car was being towed. And that’s make me wonder, from all the people in the restaurant, how did they knew it was my car? It seemed that it’s a sketchy business. I asked the front desk receptionist and she never mention anything regarding the parking. I parked right in front of the restaurant and they charged $273 for 3 minutes
Come for the frose and views! Such an adorable setting at the hotel. Food wise the highlight was cheese filled tater tots. They have limited parking out front.
You are paying for the view.. thats it. The food wasnt worth the price. The Lido burger is pretty plain tasting. Customer service is garbage as well. 23 dollars for a burger that has lettuce and cheese.. The coke was super flat as well..good luck if you go.
View was great! Brunch menu was generic and nothing special. Did see a very large iguana run between the tables while eating which was both interesting and scary
Excellent customer serviceBeautiful placeAmerican style menu
Came here after the Spa closed because it was convenient. Wound up being surprised by truly fantastic food and service! Very high quality ingredients and interesting flavor combinations. Cant wait to come again soon!
What a place. Perfect setting for a drink in Miami
The view is beautiful, location is great and the furniture is colorful but unfortunately the food has no quality, greasy and microwave heated. The juices werent freshly squeezed and food was soggy. Staff not very friendly. Hopefully they will improve since it is a beautiful setting.
Food was awesome, the service wasexcellent and the view espectacular.
Such an awesome view, food was awesome and service was on point. We have a table of 13 which can be a lot but no complaints here. There was a mishap on one order which was my fries(I ordered parmasan fries and they came out plainbut the server noticed right away before I had a chance to say something. She came out with a fresh order of parm fries. Awesome Awesome Awesome!!!!
I give the 2 starts only for the sake of the beautiful view. There were cockroaches all around getting on your feet from the cracks of the wooden floor. Food? Horrible. We ordered a burger and got a veggie one instead. The Tuna ceviche was TOO sour you couldn’t eat. Coconut cocktail was like a sugar bomb! Not recommended.
5 star deserved for the view and service but I will give 4 for breakfast menu….
Food was amazing we ordered Oysters (amazing, the Seafood cocktail (amazing, passionfruit ceviche (it was okayand Lido Burgers with Truffle fries (amazing. However the service was far from good😣, very rude.
Food was good. Lido Burger is amazing, oysters were fresh and delicious and very tasteful seafood cocktail. Passion fruit ceviche wasn’t as good. I regret ordering it, however the rest was great. The busser was a very nice guy. The rest of the staff was very rude. We asked for a beverage and changed our minds in that same second when ordering, and the waiter would roll his eyes and “ugh” us because we changed the beverage we wanted even though he was still there taking notes. I would understand his frustration if the order was made and the drink got to the table, but in this case we were still ordering. Very very rude staff
We had an amazing time. We started off searching for the green light, the sights of the bay are spectacular, the food & refreshments were delicious, the staff attentive and the ambience gave us happiness. After our meal, we wandered off and found a fireplace surrounded by outside beds that were the cherry on our evening. We had an amazing time.
Absolutely gorgeous place. I have no words to describe. Very serene and cozy ambience. Best view of the Sunset by the beach. Great food and drinks. Friendly service. Definitely recommend.
Excellent food, truly professional service. All the dishes we had were really very good, fresh and cooked creatively. Our waiter was polite, charming and helpful, unusual for Miami where service is typically robotic.
We came to this place to see the sunset but we ended up having an incredible experience. Their gardens, the scene, the staff, I would say everything really played amazing.Their attention to detail is breathtaking.I’m not giving a 5 stars because of we had a few misunderstandings but in general, Luka and Chad really took care of everything for us to have a great experience while there.Looking forward to visiting again.A must go and a must comeback!
One of my favorite places to stop and get a drink in Miami. The food is great, ambiance is amazing. Always something to get into here.
Absolutely fabulous restaurant and hotel! Really love this place, the space, the food at the restaurant, and the amazing staff! Highly recommended for groups of friends or just for a date. The pool and the bar have great views of the Bay! Definitely be back!
The oysters, burger & cheesecake were so good. The view was the cherry on top 💕
Wanted to enjoy the ambience of this beautiful spot on the Bay. Seated very quickly without a reservation 🙏🏼Had a great light meal as I soaked up the last of the sun rays. Great way to end the day.
Great views and food! Great for pics!
The view was beautiful food was mediocre. The atmosphere was great too
This place is simply amazing. I cant think of a better view to have while eating.
Great space for outdoor drinks/food, arguably 1 of the best in Miami. Amazing for sunsets. They just reopened after being closed due to COVID. The new restaurant is fantastic w/great & friendly service.
Decent food but totally American and a bit expensive. Super popular so you should make a reservation ahead of time. Gorgeous views and great customer service
Best amenities, atmosphere, staff, guests … WOW 🤩 Exactly that relax magical waterside vibe you’re trying to get in Miami. With a killer Happy Hour Menu and most of all if you get the chance to be indulged by the charismatic and expert photographer Chad … guys let me tell you that’s quite an experience without any fausse note 👌🏽so rare in high end hospitality places. From the get go our call with the Hostess Marianna made us feel special, very caring and personable she is absolutely here to assist you and that’s real luxury ! Maria was amazing too once upon arrival. And Milagro our bus Wonder Woman definitely added to that perfect moment. Will be back for sure ❤️
Sooooo yum. This menu is amazing. Drinks to juices. Salads and hamburgers. Wished they had a Caesar salad. The chocolate cake was amazing. The drinks are phenomenal. Must try. You can sit at the tables or pool and get served. The view is amazing. Service is spectacular.
Nice chilled place. Good for drinks and good enough for a meal if you want to enjoy the view.Food is decent, not great. Try the catch of the day for fish and / or the New York Strip dor meat. The view is pleasant for day or night drinks /meal.
Beautiful place , especially during sunset. We came after we had dinner -So no comments of food. Wine selection would have been better. Drinks were good but not great. Worth of going but only bcs of the atmosphere.
Only complaint would be they need more vegan options! The vegan breakfast was DELICIOUS! Out of all the restaurants we visited this was our favorite! Delicious vegan food and great view!
What an amazing experience. Met up with friends at this place for a quick bite and drinks. I really enjoyed their food and the view is absolutely breathtaking. I ordered their Impossible Melt Burger with a side of truffle fries and their Kale Salad. Simply delicious!!
Love this place! I have come for breakfast, lunch, and dinner over the last year. I think I like breakfast the best. Attached is the Avocado Toast on sour dough, and Egg White Omelet with Goat cheese and mushrooms. Its right on the water, you can pull up on the boat, and there its always busy right by the pool. I really like this place. I just ordered off the happy hour menu, but it had a little bit of everything- cocktails, tacos, appetizers. Everything was really tasty! The shrimp cocktail was my only disappointment- its literally one individual shrimp youre ordering, not a cocktail glass full of them like I had imagined.Be sure to bring layers. I came on a really windy day and once the sun was setting it was freezing. The staff did provide thin blankets for those that were really cold. That was really nice.Upon arriving they had told me that the dining area was booked with reservations but that I could sit at the bar. Thankfully the bar is essentially the same area and atmosphere, and I got to sit right next to the water. The dining area never actually filled up, so Im not sure what that was all about, but it worked in my favor so whatever.Oh! And the bathrooms have these cool faucets where the dyson dryer is built right into the faucet. I thought that was cool.My only real complaint with the place is the parking. There is basically no parking option aside from valet, which costs $25. Just a friendly heads up to add that into your budget for the evening or in case you dont like others driving your car.
Great service, great views, great food, great ambiance, great outing! I took my 11 & 12 year old to catch the Sunset. My Kale Salad was very yummy! My son enjoyed his Impossible Melt & my daughter enjoyed her Fried Chicken Sandwich. The French Fries that came on the side of their sandwiches was very fresh & seasoned well. I had a Frose & it was good. Kid friendly.
