Stylish modern vineyard with a tasting room & restaurant preparing modern Australian food.
Visiting Adelaide hills for the first time and had the Lane recommended to us. So glad we took the recommendation, the venue is beautiful, the wine was delicious but best of all was our wonderful host, Agnes. She was full to the brim of knowledge, she was personable and she really made the experience worth while.10/10 thank you Agnes for a memorable experience.
Had lunch here for my wifes birthday. What fabulous food and great service. Definiately 5 star. The views over the vineyards and Adelaide hills are second to none. Staff were so polite and knowledgeable and left the appropriate amount of time between courses. Wine, supurbe. What a great afternoon.
We visited here this morning and had an outstanding experience....Agnes went out of her way to show us around many of the superb wines. 10/10 from us...Thank you.
Agnus provided some of the best customer service I have ever received. She and The Lane should be congratulated on the wine and food tasting. It was some of the best food I have eaten.
The most amazing service by Agnes during our wine tasting. The food and wines here are also incredible but the service is just exceptional! Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Had an amazing lunch dining experience today. Food and wine were beyond expectations. All the staff especially Natasha, were attentive ,friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Would have given 10 stars if possible
Great food, wine and service. Unbeatable views. Thanks to the chef for preparing a selection of off-menu dishes for very particular dietary requirements.
We had the great pleasure of having Dan talk us through the wonderful selection of wines at The Lane. Very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He even knows Croatian wines. Lovely tucker too.
Fantastic wine tasting experience at the hills
The menu was really well put together and the dishes were full of flavour. The service was unfaultable. The views were beautiful. The star rating not complete due to the acoustics and noisy atmosphere. Maybe polished concrete floors are to blame. The music being played was not complementary if anything, annoying.
We were there on a Wednesday to do the gathering experience & lunch after. The gathering experience was 5 different wine with 5 canapés pairing. Loved it! The staff was very tentative. He explained the wine & the accompanying food. Love the Lees butter. Wish they sell it to take home. At this point, we were so full but still went over to the restaurant for lunch. Thank goodness they have an a la cart menu. We ordered the oyster & marinated olive as our entree & the kingfish & ricotta mushroom dumplings. It was perfect for our already full belly. If you are in the Adelaide Hills area, if all the vineyards in the area, this one you have to visit. Views of the vineyard, just beautiful. Food & wine delicious. Staff, amazing. The Lane Vineyard, can you start making Lees butter for sale.
OMG, this place! Such a gorgeous setting with the late autumn colours on a wintry day. Fantastic wines and an amazing lunch. The 5 course set menu introduced us to some incredibly edible flavours. We had the best time. The customer service experience is the best in the region.
We attended for The Gathering experience and it exceeded all our expectations. The staff were brilliant and the food and wine pairings were very well explained. The food was amazing, even as small samples. The actual location was absolutely beautiful and we have since signed up for their wine club, as such we will be back!
Nice area and yummy food really like it 🥰
We visited the Lane to sit on the chefs table for the afternoon and looked after by Nastassja in front of house and Cameron in the kitchen. The Service, knowledge and experience displayed by the Lane team was outstanding. Wine pairing was spot on. Food sensational. An absolutely amazing experience. Well done to the team. I would highly recommend.
What a Sunday afternoon, sitting outside and enjoying the warm autumn sun whilst looking out across the beautiful grounds. We had the perfect time with friendly service coupled with crisp, fruity white. Already making plans to return for a meal at the restaurant
Food was amazing and service almost spotless. I do have to say tho, for a lunch experience, waiting 35-40’ between courses with portions that are more than tiny ( like smaller than for a kid is not the best. I like to enjoy a spacious service without getting stuffed with all the food but this was too much of a wait between them which definitely affected my experience and overall opinion of the place. A shame
We had the gathering. 5 wines paired with food. Excellent
I did the experience with my mum and sadly we discovered there that the experience is only made up of three red wines ( which both of us CANNOT drinkand nor did the website state it was red wine only. However, I spoke with Nitasha, and she was absolutely delightful! she apologized and offered us a full refund or a $200 credit to spend on the amazing wine selection they have. we of course chose the wine credit as we wanted to still support the winery. I got to sample many wines and ended up picking about 7 white wines. So Very happy with my afternoon there, I would only recommend that they add on the experience description that it is red wine only.
We celebrated my husband’s birthday with friends yesterday. Firstly we had a relaxed and informative wine tasting and then a super delicious lunch from the Harvest menu. Food, staff, wine & afternoon were all top class. ⭐️
The food blew my mind!! It was an amazing twist on modern Australian cuisine. They accommodated for me, a vegan, really well and whipped up an incredible eggplant dish. However, I would recommend calling ahead to inform them of any dietary requirements as I was lucky another event was on at the same time where they had to cater for other vegans.Their wine is really well suited to be consumed with food, which isn’t a bad thing but if you’re looking for wines that can stand on their own, then you may like to try flights other than Taste the Lane. I also felt like our server was in a bit of a rush so the explanations were a bit abbreviated and wasn’t as detailed as what I had experienced at other wineries. It probably was a very busy day for them and people were doing the best
The view here was so good! We sat at the high tables to do a quick wine tasting after having lunch nearby. I would love to come back and try the food it looked like a great dining room and menu. Our host was really knowledgeable about the wines. The winery also has great areas on site to have picnics and sit under the trees or umbrellas. Better for a more informal meal and would be lovely for a late afternoon drink and snack too.
Beautiful vineyard, with a lovely cellar door and restaurant. We booked an estate picnic at ‘The Boatshed’ and enjoyed a light lunch under the shade. Food was very fresh and tasty, but probably a little overpriced if you were just looking for a simple picnic. Gluten free and vegan options are provided. Can also purchase extras for the picnic experience such as a bottle of wine, as well as a round of golf balls to play a game of ‘closest to target’ near the lake. The estate is very nice to walk around, and all the picnic spots have shade, cushions, blankets and a box with sunscreen and hand sanitiser.
Amazing blend your own wine experience. Fantastic wines. But the whole experience was made by the outstanding staff. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Big shout out to Dan for going above and beyond. Making our day truely memorable. Highly recommend. Beautiful estate.
Amazing cellar door, beautiful wine, most importantly the people who work there are the best! Big shout out to Dan and Nash, they are absolutely great with offering tasting experience to the customers. Thank you very much! I will be back.
Beautiful views, great service... And the wine is pretty good too.A great spot to stop in on a sunny afternoon and enjoy a glass or two.Note: if you want to sit for a guided/set tasting, I recommend booking in advance.
All around a pretty disappointing birthday experience. Food was good but didn’t knock our socks off. Service was decent but nothing special. They didn’t have room for us to do our tasting in the tasting room (though we had booked inand instead asked us to sit at our lunch table, we felt like we didn’t get the full tasting experience and was forgotten about a lot. I found the toilets to be fairly unkept for a place of this caliber. The scenery is beautiful and the design of the building is nice. Previously The Lane was what I recommended for people to buy since I love many of their wines, but having my birthday tasting/lunch up there has left a bad taste and all four of us were pretty disappointed. Not worth the price tag for the experience.
Would give this place 6 stars if possible. Everything here was exceptional from the location, service wine and food. We started with a tasting and the guy was lovely and let us taste as many wines as we like as he said not reasonable to expect people to buy wine they havent tried, even the more premium ones, he was right too we loved a lot of the wines and bought a lot. Then we moved to the dining room and again the service was outstanding. The food was exceptional to match as they kitchen respected the quality of the ingredients and elevated them further with great technique and flavoursome sauces. Would definitely recommend this place as the best experience weve had at a winery.
We had the 5 course menu. $95. Everything was lovely. Not stunning but lovely. The service wasn’t great and it wasn’t that busy. We got fed.
Amazing experience! The Chefs table and the wine tasting matched perfectly. Food was to die for and the service was above and beyond.
Astonishing! CLASSY, educated in hospitality staff, clean, respectful. Wine and food is to die for. Cant wait to return, buy their produce and support SA!
What can I say apart from fabulous. Our waitress was so very helpful and attentive answering all of our questions about the food and wine. The three course lunch with matching wine was exceptional. The floor supervisor assisted with additional winery information. Well done.
I came here with my wife and we had a delicious 5 course lunch. The food was incredible - we loved everything. The service was excellent and the view was stunning. I would recommend visiting this place if you want great food and good wine.
Stunning views, delicious food and great wine. The restaurant caters very well to vegetarians (rather than treating them as afterthoughts like many places do). Highly recommended and worth the cost.
We had a lunch with friends. 5 tasting courses . I dont eat meat and they offered me very good options. The staff was knowledgeable and attention to details. We were very happy.Beautiful location and amazing view.I recommend it.
We enjoyed a wine tasting followed by a picnic lunch, the perfect outing to celebrate my sister’s birthday. Great selection of wine and lovely spread of food in the picnic boxes - all was very tasty. I definitely recommend the panorama location for the picnic - it costs extra and needs to be booked ahead of time, but it’s worth it for a private lunch spot with amazing views of the vineyard and hills. The staff were really friendly, knowledgeable, accomodating and went that extra mile to make our experience a pleasant one!
Lunch for five.... We went with 3 courses with matched wines, outstanding!Impressive service with in depth and friendly knowledge of all that they do at this first class venue. Thanks to all.
Great wedding venue located just out of Hahndorf. Scenic view of hills and vineyard. Reception facilities and food very good. sufficient Car parking but need to be careful at night as unlit and need to watch your step
5 course degustation was amazing. Delicious food and good attention to detail. Very friendly and informative staff adding to the experience.
Incredible dining experience from the moment we arrived - definitely lives up to its reputation.Choice of 3, 5, or 7 courses, and you have the option to have paired wines for each.Service is charming and knowledgeable.Food is sensational- best we’ve had in a long while.Love the whole ethos of “provenance”.Lamb was incredibly tender- grown on the farm. There’s also a cellar door on site so you could do a tasting there before or after lunch.Highly recommended!
Amazing lunch! Gorgeous views. And delicious wine. Not much more you can ask for!
Excellent service, picturesque views and delicious wine. They had a great selection of each variety. Carlos who is very well informed and obviously love what he does, made our tasting so pleasant! We will definitely be back with our friends and family! Thanks Carlos! Definitely highly recommended!!
The tasting was ok - there were different options depending on your preferences and you can choose individually. The service was a little slow considering the staff/ customer ratio but very friendly & knowledgeable staff. The views are fantastic even on an average weather day.
Recommended by a local, the Winery is simply stunning with gorgeous views and equally gorgeous wines. Our tasting was served by the friendly and knowledgeable Henry. We walked away with a few bottles and managed to get the name of the only place we can buy it in Sydney (ironically the local Coogee Bay hotel 🏨). Well worth the visit. Unfortunately we didn’t have enough time for what looked like a delicious long leisurely lunch but there is always next time!
Great restaurant with very attentive staff. Lunch food and wines were delicious and freshly prepared.
A fantastic location with picturesque views, friendly and knowledgeable staff. We had three courses and every dish was exquisite and the wines, devine! Would highly recommend. Cant wait to come back.
$10 tasting fee is unusual in Adelaide and shouldve been an indicator to stay away. Tried 6 wines, liked none of them, still had to pay. Maybe they have good food, but didnt stick around to try it.Service was wonderful though, could not fault it for a moment.
First off I would have to say that this was one of the single best dining experiences Ive ever had. Everything about my meal, the service and ambience of the location exceeded my expectations. Located in the heart of rolling hills, green pastures and grape vines is this amazing restaurant and winery. Upon entry the staff greeted us, sat us down and introduced us to the gastronomic afternoon that lay ahead. With an 8 course luncheon on the menu for mothers day, we were greeted with a free glass of their fantastic home grown sparkling wine. Onwards from this was 8 courses of absolute perfection, cooked and waited by their extremely polite staff. The best part which was saved for last, was the bill which was very reasonable.I could not recommend this place enough! There are two things to be aware of however:1. The road you travel down to get to the restaurant is on unsealed road (mud/rocksso if you care about your car take it SLOW.2. As mentioned in Joans complaint, there is a very understandable $10 per person charge if you dont show up to your booking, or cancel without 24 hours of notice. (which if you have a large booking may be costly).
Really amazing food. The degustation was delicious with matching wines. Service outstanding. View, atmosphere really beautiful. Good for a cozy special occasion.
We were treated to a tour of the winery and a Blend Your Own session before retiring to the dining room for a degustation lunch, matched with some of The Lanes premium wines. An amazing culinary experience that we would highly recommend to all.
