You have to see this if in koh mak. Just a bit sad the place looks abodonned in early november.

Unfortunately this no longer exists. The land where this once was has all been cleared and all of the statues are bunched together in a pile. Hopefully some day they display all the statues again.

A bit run down, not easy to spot

You wonder what’s in some guys heads at times...... come here and you will see !!!! Brilliant!!!

Really unique place. The statues are all crowded together. It seems like they moved them since some of the pathways dont lead anywhere. Getting around can be difficult due to the proximity of the statues to each other.I enjoyed the art very much. Its different. And regardless of what you think the message is, I can admire anyone who makes art like this.My favorite statue was the mermaid. :)Also: the location wasnt correct so I edited it. I added a photo of the road you need to enter to find the kingdom.

It was a little difficult to find but worth the effort. A very unique place! Look for the "stone ladies" on the dirt road.

We tried to enter but the place was occupied by people who now seem to live there. There were clothes hanging outside the little shelter, with personal everyday items inside, a couple of motorbikes parked outside, few roosters in cages. Didn’t want to enter inside a “private” property so we didn’t continue any further, and anyways all the statues were eaten by the vegetation and very damaged.

A hidden and strange attraction of Koh Mak, until recently not on Google Maps, The Kingdom of Somchai’s Affection is a garden of erotic sculptures created by a local artist. It is located in Ao Suan Yai on the North-West side of Koh Mak, on the way to Happy Days bungalows. The visionary environment consisting of ready and willing females in suggestive poses is an impressive example of creative wish-fulfilment and a bright specimen of outsider art – inspiring for some and repulsing for others. The locals seem embarrassed by rather than proud of this work of imagination and desire; nobody takes care of the garden and the sculptures are left to slowly decay, year by year, under the influence of the elements.
