The Kelvin Guest House in Brighton

My partner and I had a lovely stay here a few years ago. Our room was clean and comfortable. The two young host there were friendly and helpful.

Lovely room and elle was very friendly and helpful and stones throw from pier. Warm welcome and we definitely will be back again. Sharon +Jimmy.

Good location, but the bathroom is very small, the bedding could be improved and young kids were serving the breakfast... on top of that, they do not accept payment by card !

Lovely place to stay right by the seafront, will definitely stay again.

Die Gastgeberin ist eine nette motivierte junge Frau. Wir haben im April 2019 dort übernachtet. Für eine Nacht kostete das 3 Bett Zimmer 144 Pfund. Das Zimmer und Bad waren sauber, das Frühstück ok.Der Eingangsbereich des Gasthauses war aufgrund des sehr dreckigen Teppichs nicht sehr ansprechend, besonders wenn man so viel Geld bezahlt hat, aber die Gastfreundschaft der jungen Elle machte den Aufenthalt angenehm.

Excellent place with few recommendations (for which I kept a star myself)It is absolutely at a great location for which its occupancy is almost always full. Its four star BnB guest house/hotel. The rooms are exactly for TWO adults. It has a nice small bathroom with all necessary hardwares(no comments)with enough towels and the usual tineast toilet shop! The floors of the bathroom are bit noisy.The room are small but cosy. We have booked 4 rooms for a night. All were well ventilated.Pretty happy with what we were offered. All rooms are no smoking zones. The place is slightly child buggy unfriendly as we cannot easily push the buggy, we had to fold the buggy and lift it up while they were helpful to find a place to keep for a night.It is at a prime location, 5 mins walk to Morrison, 5 mins walk to kids attraction Sealife,15 mins walk to British airways i360,Royal pavillion, Brighton Arts Museum and the Dome; 10 mins walk to Zipline, Brighton Palace pier and a long stretched beach. The beach is not a sandy beach as expected but its fun you wont complain not having sand as you have pebbles-)The place was all rainbow shaded showing the solidarity to gay rights and recent gay parade. If you are gay,probably it it the friendliest place on England to be.Oh! Let me explain about room 3 which is similar to other rooms in design and all other features and facilities. Its well ventilated but we couldnt sleep almost to midnight due to some foul smell of cigarette or the gas or something like that which was not distinct but really a distraction. Probably it was due to the exhausts pipes of toilet and kitchen just outside the window.The room has a table with hot kettle and tea/coffee/hot chocolate sachets along with two small packets of cookies.The breakfast is included and the two beautiful ladies there are ready to ask your needs and preferences. We asked full British breakfast, everything was there but the portion size is also small(probably I was expecting more based on my previous experiences).The taste was ok.Another problem is parking which is tricky. No parking space at all. You may go to park your vehicle next to the Sealife which is expensive or take your vehicle at least 10 minutes away to Brighton and Hove councils parking which is safe and relatively cheaper.Its one of the good 4star guest house with best possible services at reasonable price without parking. Oops:-)

Great location, reasonable pricing and very friendly, professional staff. Best choice if youre looking to visit Brighton and want to be looked after and not break the bank.The staff were even so kind as to offer me paracetamol and didnt bat an eye when I threw up all over the room! (Top tip: Avoid Daily Catch, the nearest chippie - Im still feeling queezy after getting it all out of me this morning!)Would definitely recommend.
