I have been to the Keg Mansion in Toronto and also in Ottawa. Great food so l tried the Keg in Peterborough. I wasnt disappointed. I had the prime rib which was one of the best lve ever had. Tender enough to cut with just my fork. My friend had the sirloin strip and she just loved it. The atmosphere was warm and the restaurant was really well appointed. We had a great server and the whole staff just encumbered us with hospitality. I highly recommend the Keg Peterborough for an amazing dining experience. If you can get the vaccine and lets protect each other!! 🇨🇦🍁

Delicious food and amazing service.

TOO LOUD!!! We did enjoy our steak dinner however the pumped in MEGA laughing & talking made it impossible to even have a conversation.GREED is why these restaurants do this & it ruins the patrons night. Kids were holding their hands over their ears. Please TURN IT DOWN you have no problem filling the place, save eardrums.

They messed up every meal and the quality of the food was horrible, been to keg in Toronto 20 times and never had this problem!

The reason for the 1 star rating is strictly related to my meal. I ordered Blackened chicken and there was nothing blackened about it. It was a piece of skinless boneless breast of chicken over cooked in the oven with some sort of sweet sauce. They should do themselves a favor, if you dont know what blackened chicken is then please take it off the menu at $38.00 it was extremely disappointing. The ambiance and service was good.

Amazing everytime we go. Staff is lovely and the food is always cooked to preference.

Did not dissapoint. We will definitely be back. Portions got smaller since we were in Keg last time, so 4 stars. But it was a few years ago and a different location. We will be back.

My friend attended this keg with her daughter as a special treat. This is a mom with no help from the dad and the daughter is having a difficult time. The waitress told her the tip she left was not enough and she should be leaving a 30% tip. I will never eat here again. You just lost a regular who tips accordingly. Sometimes 30% sometimes not!

Great food & atmosphere. The service was excellent. It is a good place for date night! My only complaint is that its a little overpriced ($150 for two steak dinners with an app & 1 drink)

Ordered the Baseball Top Sirloin rate but it came medium-rare. Caleigh and Paul were sure to correct the issue immediately and returned with a perfectly cooked steak. They offered free desert without prompt which We felt was unnecessary given how they took care of us otherwise. Caleigh was attentive, and friendly. The mushrooms were delectable. Great service and food.

The food was expensive for what was on the plate. We didnt receive an order of bread we asked for. I believe one is paying for the ambiance of the restaurant.not impressed

Ambience is 100% outdoor patios great, menus fabulous and the staff enjoy to be served by! Would highly recommend

Very well run. Yes, I pay a bit more here but the wait staff are as much a part of the experience as the great food. Professional, courteous, attentive.

Service was slow, my companions and I waited a long time to get our orders taken, and then after another lengthy wait, some of our party was informed that their main selection was unavailable. The food itself was fine.

Just had a super dinner at the keg steakhouse celebrating our 56 anniversary Shantell and John Paul served us our dinner. They were very friendly made our evening very pleasant. Thank you. Gave us a complimentary dessert

Late reservations, past 830. 8 minutes before sever came. Our entree after bread and appetizers came 1 hour after order. My steak was not cooked to order....2 times. The server and manager charming and professional. It paled in comparison to my Barrie keg restaurant experience. My wife and I go to kegs in every city we visit. I know what to expect.

Drove over an hour to get to this location for our 10 year anniversary dinner. Once we got there the doors were locked. Would have been nice to get an email or a call saying that the reservation was cancelled so I wouldn’t have had to drive two hours.Update: 05/24 - Got an email yesterday saying my reservation was cancelled through OpenTable.

This is one of the best Kegs we have been to if not the best! The food was exceptional and made exactly as requested adding a food allergy to that. Staff were very accommodating and it was all an amazing night out. The manager(sshould be proud of their chefs and staff.

Disappointing! Went out as a couple for a birthday celebration dinner - only one of our dinners was correct. This was *not* the fault of the server, who went to check on our order, but of the kitchen and mgmt not checking what was coming out of the kitchen! I had ordered a steak with lobster tail, but received steak and grilled shrimp, and the lobster that was served 20 minutes later was an extremely small tail for the cost! I told my husband to go ahead and eat his meal so it wouldnt get cold. The potatoes must have come out of a corporate prepared bag because they were a glutenous whip with little potato pieces and zero garlic flavour for a garlic mash. Salad was thick with a caesar dressing and veggies were just okay. It was once the place to go for a great steak dinner but the value vs price just isnt there anymore it seems! It seems to have gone the way of corporations pre-prep & dump bags! $148.00 was our sub-total. Well be sure to start seeking out the individually owned restaurants over the franchises for steak dinners...

Nice location with a good bar. There is lots of parking as well. They have a great wine selection and the drinks were also very good. It is exactly what you want from a Keg steak House. Went here for dinner with my wife and daughter. The service was great and the drinks were also great. My steak was cooked perfectly and I thought my meal was very good. My wife and daughters were not as well cooked and we unfortunately got a bad steak (meaning it was toughbut those things happen. The staff were completely understanding and corrected the issue. I would go back as I had a nice time and meal.

Went for a second interview with the GM Juston and was told "Its not that youre too old buuuut...."The tone at the top says alot about a restaurant.I have worked multiple different restaurants from cooking to managing and am strong in sales. At 44, I am confident that I am not "Too old". This shows the Keg isnt interested in ability and customer servicing and is discriminant in their hiring.

Had an excellent dinner tonight. Decided to go and treat myself out. Waitress Sabrina did an excellent job and was very pleasant to deal with. Would definitely come back again. Great service.

Service excellent. Food a little bland. I think theyve cut back on keg steak spice. Not enough sauce on steak Oscar. The chef burned skinny little pieces of asparagus stocks and put them on my plate. I pointed that out to waitress . Dessert excellent.

Worst experience I have ever had at a Keg. Ordered the take out. Decided to try the Rib SteakFor the first time. Ordered medium rare. Once home and opened up everything found that my steak was completely raw and so fatty and grizzly. About half the steak was just fat and so bloody that I could not eat it. Blood was pooled inside the container. Was absolutely disgusting. $62 meal went right to the garbage. Will never get takeout from the again.

Exceptional dinner, In a nice cozy atmosphere. Starting with the fresh Caesar salad with large full leaves of lettuce. Super cheesy garlic toast. To the mouth watering main course of a bone-in Rib Eye steak paired with garlic mashed potatoes, with a side of mushrooms cooked right in with the steak, and vegetables.Topping it off with a free , large slice of Billy Miner Pie for our anniversary! The Keg is the perfect place for a special occasion.

Cam was our server and he was awesome! The food was out of this world and the atmosphere was very nice. It was my birthday and they brought me complimentary ice cream cake after our delicious dinner. We will definitely return.

Enjoyed by time at this location. Although I was disappointed they no longer offer nacho chips, as I always got them as a gluten-free option for some apps, I had a very pleasant experience nonetheless. The manager came up to me to ensure that my food would be handled with care which I really appreciated. I got the baseball sirloin which I normally get and I asked for it "chicago" style which is now my favourite way- I highly recommend getting your rib steak or sirloin Chicago style. I also really like that they offer mini desserts, its the perfect end to a wonderful dinner!

We have been to many Keg Restaurants over the years and can honestly say, this one’s at the top of the list! Considering Covid protocols, they run a very efficient and safe place.Our orders ( 5 of uswere taken quickly by Christine, a very charming and lovely woman, who kept us supplied with drinks, the orders were correct and the other wait staff stepped up to bring all of our appetizers and meals at the same time so everything was piping hot and no one was left waiting. We were really impressed by the efficiency, considering that restaurant seating was opened up to include more patrons. I needed to sit somewhat farther away from others, so they placed us at a table that accommodated us well.Can’t say enough good about the Keg in general, but this one’s especially great! Highly recommended!! Good jobGreat job, staff and management!

Excellent service! Emily was wonderful. Our dinner was great! The Billy Miners pie for my birthday was on the house, although we were over full we did manage to eat it. All in all, classy, cozy and comfortable. Prices are a bit on the high side and noticed the prices have increased...I guess you get what you pay for. Well be back soon.

The Keg is my absolute favorite Canadian restaurant chain. Their standards are high and the quality of everything on the menu is best-in-class. The annual Lobster Summer promo was on during this visit. Its the best yet. I ordered a half lobster with prime rib combo and loved every bite. Cheers to the Peterborough Keg staff and management on making sure our party of 6 had a phenomenal meal and a super night.

Went to the patio on a date. The staff was very thorough as my date had allergies to egg and nuts. The bar manager - Paul - was amazing and friendly and gave us our options around the allergies. Our server was also great as she made sure to alert Paul immediately of the allergy and worked with him to ensure everything was perfect. The food was amazing and the service was fantastic.

Been here about 4 times now with my girlfriend. Absolutely amazing every time. The staff always goes above and beyond. The environment is amazing and so far I’ve never had a issue here.Atmosphere: The keg has a very well made atmosphere. Everything from the lamps, the wood and the seating. And even the smaller stuff like Cups and plates, are all well balanced and look like they belong.Staff: The staff are absolutely amazing. They are great at understanding and interpreting what you say. Even though you are a complete stranger they seem easy to have a conversation with and are not too invasive when you’re having your meal. And they excel at the little things.Food: the food is simply delightful. Every time I eat here the food meets and often times goes beyond my expectations!Cons.The only cons I see of eating here is the price and really the only other thing that to others could be a slight issue is the lighting. It is pretty dark, However to me that is something I personally enjoy.

We had an amazing dinner at the Keg in Peterborough. Excellent service, steak cooked to perfection and the food was superb. A beautiful atmosphere and they accommodated my disability like no other restaurant has. Thank you to everyone who served us , and having a special hello from the manager was sweet. Great staff !!!

First time visiting the Keg in many years and first time at this location. Wasn’t a disappointment. Awesome service, great atmosphere and amazing food. Definitely worth the price of the meal.

First time visiting this location and my first time ever having filet mignon. What an absolutely amazing experience! The steak was so incredibly juicy and tender, I couldnt imagine it being cooked any more perfect.The service was excellent and the manager came out to us to ensure our experience was pleasant for our anniversary. Will definitely be returning to this location in the future and recommend it to others.

This is a great steakhouse. They specialize in steak and definitely know what they are doing. It is usually busy here in the evening, so I suggest calling ahead for reservations. If it is busy, you can always dine in the lounge which is also good. The service was excellent here. I definitely recommend this place!!

It was crowded when we attended. Our party of 6 spoke loudly just to be heard in the midst of the noisey open floor plan. My little granddaughter ordered mini hamburgers from the kids menu, which arrived too crispy and thick for her liking. I cut off the crispy parts and she was happy. I enjoyed the filet mignon. I usually order "medium rare" but our waitress recommended "medium," and it was perfect. I chose the small filet with baked potatoe and there was plenty for a 2nd meal at home. I dislike open floor plans as my wheelchair usually gets bumped, as it did a couple of times here. Next time, we will request a table near a wall.

Consistently very good service and food. Waitress asked if we were celebrating a special occasion and we said yes, our anniversary. Well after we were done our entrees, we were surprised by a huge piece of Billy Miner dessert. Yum!

Food has always been consistently great here. Nice atmosphere and the service is excellent. Great selection of entrees and drinks. My only complaint is I am not a fan of some of the table locations. Some of the tables are tucked a way in a corner which I personally do not like. Other than that The Keg is a great place to have a great meal. My preference is the South Albert St location.
