The Ivy Tower Bridge in Mpwapwa

This is a lovely, lively place for lunch. The menu and prices were really spot on and the food was delicious. The service was outstanding and they were very accommodating with my toddler. The location next to the Tower Bridge is really nice too.

Brasserie with a view of the Tower Bridge.The place is very busy and a reservation is needed. There is an outside terrace with heaters.The atmosphere is nice, especially the little details. The menu has an appealing design. Silverware and plates have vintage charm.Dishes are not very big, well presented. Food is tasty, but not remarkable.The service is slow.The overall impression is positive. Great location with a view and decent food at a relatively good value for money.I had onion soup with truffle and also wild mushroom and truffle linguini. Both dishes were just god enough.

I loved the chic brassiere style decor! The food however was mediocre at best. Perhaps if it was a local restaurant, I wouldn’t have been this harsh but the limited flavour in the food was… off brand for the luxury vibe that they are clearly going for. I forgot to take a picture, but the crème brûlée- if you can call it that- was just custard. There was no thin layer of sugar to crack, so my spoon sliced into it as though it was softened butter. Service was standard and the waitress we had was friendly enough.

Lovely setting and the food was good but we had to wait 5 minutes for the steak sauce and fries by which time the steak was cold. Not really worth the money and definitely not worth the 13.5 % gratuity thats added to the bill

Horrifying food and shocking service. Came it at around 5:00pm on a Thursday evening, informed that all tables were booked “ahead of the dinner rush” but that we could be seated at the bar. As we walked to the bar 90% of the restaurant was empty, it took 20 minutes for a waiter to take our order. We waited around 50 minutes for our food to come meanwhile the couple sat next to us waited 30 minutes just for their order to be taken, got fed up and left. The food arrived disgusting, the burger was burnt (both meat and bunand the tartare was chewy, thickly cut and tasted not fresh. When we left we noticed that the restaurant was still half empty, were exactly was the “dinner rush?”

The food was served on time and taste really good. We had the three course meals which was affordable. The ambiance was lovely and the staff were very accommodating. Thumbs up to the chef!

I’ve been here a few times before and loved it, so on this trip to london I stopped in for a quick fish and chips. Unfortunately the fish was quite soggy, but otherwise tasty. Close to Tower Bridge and an oasis for a quiet moment out.

I loved this place !! Great foods & services & the guests there were so nice !! A very sweet /pretty lady was having her birthday celebration & she gave me her complimentary birthday chocolate cream puff as she was a vegan !( I was ,too for 17 years ,now a vegetarian for 13 years ! She made my day !! Her b.f.& his family were all fabulous !! I had a vegan salad w/ watermelon & chilli & raddish & cashew nuts ,which was so ~ delicious & nutritious,as well as cream tea ,the scones ( 3pcs !! smelled / tasted so ~good !! One of the very best Ive ever had !! It was more than worthwhile experience & the lady at the front took pictures of me for me ,offering to hold my very heavy bag & my trench coat even to take better pictures of me w/ o carrying em !! So thoughtful & 1st class service !!! I highly recommend this place to everyone !!! What a great view of the tower bridge from the Ivys at this location !! I didnt get my table outside ,regret this !! I planned to ,but forgot it as still having a slight jetlag !!? A fantastic location to have a cream tea right by the tower bridge !! A great spot for photos / videos ,too !! If I were a YouTuber ,Ill create a video of cream tea there !! Many were having afternoon tea there ! Id love to go back there for a champagne cream tea someday soon !! The bathroom was so cute !! The ceiling was covered w/ silk roses !! 😍😃

Very disappointed with this place!!!!!My partner travelled from abroad to see me and we wanted to go to a nice restaurant for our date. To name a few, the service was very slow and the waiters looked uninterested. The food arrived luke warm, despite good taste it was hard to enjoy when it was obviously sitting out for a long time before being served to us. The cherry on top however was a kitchen TILL RECEIPT that was left UNDER the food that was served to us!Yes, it happens, they are just people, but waiters didnt offer much of an apology or offered to rectify the mistake. I had to dig out the receipt from under my food!!!!!!! We were not offered anything for the inconvenience, not even a silly drink. Overall we are very unhappy and would avoid coming back, as for the price you pay, you can find plenty of places in London with far better service.

The quality of service I would give 3 stars. The quality of food 4 stars. They are decent - just not worth the million pounds they charge. BUT this restaurant deserves 5 stars for being right across the Tower Bridge. The view is just spectacular. And imagine sippin on amaretto sour with that view. Priceless

I have been to other Ivy restaurants before and this one was not as good an experience. We did get outdoor seating which was appreciated but the service was a bit slow and the cutlery could have been more polished considering its quite a fancy restaurant. The food was pretty tasty but we were unable to take away leftovers which I find crazy. I would go again to try the afternoon tea which looked rather lovely.

Great location, pleasant service, good food and the current set menu offers good value for money. The bang bang chicken salad starter was another level, however the pasta main duck parpadelle not so good, tasted like it had been left under a hot lamp a couple of minutes too long, not fresh pasta which was a shame, edible but could be improved. Would certainly return though, gin options are great.

We shared breakfast here and had a lovely time. We booked for when it opened at 08:30, so had no problems with getting a table, but could just as easily have walked in at that time. It was filling up by the time we left, though so dont rely on that. The service was prompt and friendly and the food was both tasty and plentiful. We both had the full English, which is excellent. A plate of breakfast pastries is a great way to start, too. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed the food and the view. Service was poor. In 1 and half hrs of being there we had one drink as no one asked us if we would like another. We flagged a greeter down and ordered 2 drinks.15 mins later we asked a waiter where are the drinks. He then checked and said we dont have the ingredients to make that cocktail. So our drinks would never have arrived and no one had the courtesy to let us know this info. Wouldnt go again. Have been to other Ivy locations and not had any issues so just a poor stand alone site

A great locationService was quick and staff were lovelyI would suggest that the prawn risotto on set menu should need some more flavour and seasoning and the prawns were so tiny !Other than that all good

WHAT AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE! The staff was super welcoming and friendly. My husbands rib-eye steak was not done to his liking, the manager was so understanding and gave him a fresh plate with sides and all. We were served a yummy dessert as it was my birthday. They have extensive wine options and cocktails. Thank you for making my day a special one.

I’m one of the first to admit that I am a big fan of The Ivy chain, so I was delighted to receive a Afternoon Tea Gift Voucher from a relative recently for my birthday. We booked a table for a Sunday afternoon and luckily the weather was a toasty 29 degrees, so it was perfect weather for an outside table booking.We arrived 5 minutes before our table was due and waited to be seated. I have to admit, I don’t think I’ve ever felt so unwelcome in a restaurant, and felt like I was a massive inconvenience to the waiter who was dealing with us, even though we had a reservation. After he sat us however, I’m pleased to say that the experience got much better.The table and location looking over Tower Bridge was fabulous, and our waitress for the experience was very friendly and attentive - and luckily the unpleasant welcome was soon forgotten.The afternoon tea was very good value for London and the quality and quantity of the food. Some of the highlights included the Chicken and Truffle Sandwich, the delicious Chocolate Pot and the fresh Scones with Clotted Cream and Jam.It was a lovely way to spend an afternoon, and it would have been 5 stars if it wasn’t for the poor reception at the start.

Sirloin steak was cooked well (unfortunately the rib eye was out of stock). Triple cooked truffle chips were exceptional. The service was excellent and the views of tower bridge and city hall were lovely. Would highly recommend.

We visited that restaurant for brunch. The whole atmosphere was really good. The only reason I didnt give this 5 stars is because, we weren’t seated in the nicest part of the restaurant (no reservation). Everything else was excellent, service and food.

I took my partner here for our anniversary meal. It was a blistering hot day in central London - but the service, professionalism and service of the staff, in particular the Portuguese Waiter who served us - was incredible.A lovely meal, in a nice restaurant with a good atmosphere.Highly recommended - and essential to book.

The ivy restaurant tower bridge great place to hang out beautiful views great service if you just having drinks or cocktails don’t get a peanuts to give you pistachio nuts when you visit the UK Tiffany’s not mandatory as a service a paid a salary but I still got it because I think that’s the right thing to do so enjoy

Afternoon tea was fantastic. Reasonable price compared to hotels. Nice views of the Thames and Tower Bridge. Service was professional and not obtrusive. Was able to enjoy the afternoon tea and were not rushed.

My fav branch! Service always impeccable and they know how to make a dad feel special on his 60th birthday 🥰 also best sticky toffee in London (possibly the world).

We had a private room on the first floor. The views are amazing. The food - the liver pate was eexcellent, the fish rather tasteless and desert was also good. Overall it did not totally convince me. But the venue is great and very well kept.

Great location. Good place for a work lunch, but I would avoid the 13-14:00 times as it gets really busy. Some tables are not always placed on the best way and you might need to ask other guests to stand up to get out or back to your table. But the food is amazing and I do recommend keeping pace for desert!

Great place to have an afternoon tea.They have a great selection of cocktails as well.Perfect to celebrate a birthday or anniversary.

Good points- delicious food, serve well and reasonable price.But I don’t like the greeting service. We booked a table for dinner. We arrived 10 min early . We were taken to bar to enjoy drinks while waiting for table . There were no enough seats in bar area. We were just left. We had to go back to entrance, to ask if we could use seats in lounge. We could have been told earlier.

Had dinner with my colleagues here, and it was absolutely delightful :)The service was friendly, the variety of options impressive and we all enjoyed every pick from the menu. The dessert especially left us speechless and stuffed (in a good way).

The food was great and the atmosphere was bright. The servers were great, when you get their attention. There were open tables but they all seemed super busy.

Very nice selection of sandwiches and the scones were out of this world. Cake selection a little disappointing. Good vibe inside and staff very friendly. Good place to go for a treat

The restaurant is lovely, service impeccable and location is great however the food, although presented nicely, is not very tasty. I was disappointed.

We had an absolutely delicious meal here for my birthday, with amazing service by Ellie. Would definitely recommend - cannot fault! Just a shame we do not live close enough to attend more regularly! But, we will be back…

Walked in on Saturday afternoon for tea and was told that it was full. However I saw many empty seats and still wouldn’t be allowed to go in. Then I booked a table online right away. Finally got a table outside.Ordered an oat latte and chocolate bombe which was recommended by a waiter. The taste of that latte ☕️ which looked like a dirty was awful 😣 whereas the chocolate bombe was excellent 👍🏻by seeing its melting with pouring hot chocolate 🍫on top.Service inside the restaurant was good though but not at the front desk. I think the reception ladies should be more patient and polite to customers.

Ive been to many of The Ivy but this one remain my favourite.Great view and beautiful location.Delicious food and good wine list.We will definitely see you soon!

Wonderful experience! Service was excellent we had a young lady waitress with plaited dark hair and glasses serve us who was very friendly and attentive. Food was very good, couldve been slightly hotter but all in all a lovely visit!

We went there to ask for a table and despite it not being busy were told to book online.Stood there in the lobby and did just that.Other than this nonsense, all else was wonderful and the food delicious.Would happily go again (after having booked online)...

Absolutely beautiful restaurant. Very aesthetically pleasing. The Sourdough bread was fresh and warm, perfect with my duck curry. The curry was flavourful and had the perfect balance of ingredients. Perfect choice of meal. Would love to come back!

4 friends and I came to the Ivy Friday night 5.30pmFood was amazing but one member of staff, Ella stood out above all others.Although busy she made time to chat laugh and make us feel really good. I did speak to manager as she really was outstanding.

The food is delicious, well-portioned, and worth the price. The waiting staff are very attentive. I will say however, that the atmosphere is fast-paced - staff seem very rushed. Maybe not the best place for a quiet meal, but great if you’re celebrating with a group of friends.

We were running super late for the show. And the staffs were very helpful with ordering food. It’s a such beautiful restaurant with lovely view of Tower of London. I wish we had more time there.The food wasn’t the best to be honest. One of the dish tastes a bit funny but the duck curry is very tasty.Recommend.

Absolutely brilliant. Our waiter Adam was very friendly, memorable and knowledgeable about the menu. He recommended some nibbles which were delightful, the Zucchini Frittas.Food was a good portion and good value for money. Although busy, it was not noisey and great for conversation. The ambience was just right and the decor was so so pretty.

The only reason I didnt give this 5 stars is because I dont think we were seated in the nicest part of the restaurant, and the decor is gorgeous! Everything else was fabulous, service and food and the salted caramel martini is to die for! Lunch menu is reasonably priced for the quality, and there is an extensive wine list. Im visiting another Ivy restaurant in a few weeks and can only hope it is as good as this one. Happy Birthday cake was a lovely touch - thank you.

Absolutely amazing restaurant right next to the iconic Tower Bridge. Attended for my wife’s birthday. We had a lively three course meal. The food was simply amazing and the staff were extremely good and attentive. It was a lovely experience and comes highly recommended. Also, ensure you book if you are looking for a weekend slot.

The Ivy is a good place to enjoy a romantic dinner and have the best culinary experience with your partner!You can share the appetizers/sides and you can also enjoy amazing main courses at this fine dining restaurant.The view here is of the city and is very nice during the night.The bar is also a good opportunity to try their cocktails (which are very good as well!)Overall, it’s worth the money, being one of the best restaurants in London.

Love the location just the menu is not to my taste. Excellent service. Views of Tower Bridge and a lengthy drinks menu. I had a cocktail with some cute candyfloss on the side of the glass. It was a nice and quite strong beverage. The cream tea was quite nice. With warm. Fresh scones. Strawberries. Jam and clotted cream. My tea of choice was not available. Chosen tea wasnt nice. Cheese souffle and zuchinni fries were quite good.

Beautiful place! Went here with my boyfriend for a late birthday meal. All the staff wished me happy birthday. They were all so lovely. We sat outside and they offer you a blanket and make sure you are comfortable. Couldnt fault the scenery and surroundings. Food was absolutely amazing. Not a problem with anything. My dessert was on the house as part as a birthday surprise. Cant wait to visit again!
