The Ivy Cobham Brasserie in Ḩalfāyā

Thanks to the Ivy Cobham team for a lovely early dinner today. Delicious food as always and such friendly, attentive service. We visited for my Mums birthday and she was made to feel very special. My sons interest in cocktail making was indulged which made his day! No doubt we will be back soon

We were looking forward to a big birthday celebration but the experience pretty much ruined the weekend. Service was not great - slow and plates were left for nearly half an hour in front of us after we finished. The real drama was when we went to enjoy the handmade cake I brought for my partner. We were not told ahead of time that they have a rule that you can bring a cake and they can "present" it for you but you cant actually eat it. Are you serious? Do people really bring whole cakes to show and then take them home? How on earth would guests eat it later. The "it is our policy" and it is due to allergens ect just seems like a massive excuse. If you want me to buy your cake maybe let me know that you even have the service at the time of booking. When we tried to pay 10% tip instead of the 12.5% they automatically add they made a big fuss like we were running out on the bill. Was probably the difference of £5 on a £330 bill - I wish we had removed the whole service charge considering the experience. Was an awkward, unpleasant birthday celebration and I certainly wont be visiting any Ivy again on the back of it.

We came to the Ivy for our anniversary. It was my first time at this one, my partner had been before. We came on a Thursday in August. It was very busy, service was slow, we waited over an hour for our main courses to be brought out… our starters came out twice it was a shambles. The food was nice, not amazing. However the cocktails were delicious. We have since then decided that we would only go back for drinks. Food and service is not worth what we paid.

Visited this restaurant several weeks ago. Posted a review regarding my experience, which was somewhat mixed. This review prompted a response from the restaurant asking me to leave my details using the link supplied and someone would contact me,Well the weeks have gone by and no contact.Quite clearly this is just a automated response and they have no intention in coming back to you… don’t waste your time replying if you get the same contact regarding any issues you may have ….!

Lovely restaurant and good service. Good drinks selection, limited veg option. Would I go back? Probably not, or only when I fancy spending some good money for a special occasion with a touch of Italian food !!

This place is quite nice,but to busy and noisy,but then again its busy everywhere these days .The food was nice ,coffee ok and scones were nice .They had plenty of staff and most were quite helpful and smiley.They must be worn out seeing how busy it was .it was nice to visit once but wont be returning again Im afraid.

We were served, ate and paid the bill within 45 minutes. Our waitress was ok however from the moment we sat down it was clear they wanted us to leave. We received our starters within 7 minutes of being there, my wine hadn’t even arrived. The mains were placed on the table before the starters had been finished or cleared up, there wasn’t any room for them so we were forced to stack our plates. We arrived at 2:52 and left at 3:40 , the quickest lunch out I’ve ever had. If I wanted fast food and service I would’ve gone to McDonald’s. Overall it was incredibly disappointing especially as it was for a birthday.

We have been to The Ivy many times and it’s one of our favourite restaurants around Cobham, Esher and Weybridge. Great customer service and the whole team is always very nice. Fantastic food, well presented and great value too. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.

I made a booking on line, received a text message confirming but with no other details. A family emergency occurred which meant I needed to cancel the booking. I tried the unhelpful text message on the site and it was pushing me into pre emptive questions such as what booking did I want to make not giving the chance to say that I wanted to cancel. After searching for a phone number I finally found one but was kept waiting for so long I gave up. I finally sent a reply to the original text message asking to cancel. I have no idea whether they got the message. For an up market expensive brasserie it should not be this difficult for their customers ti contact them. Next time I will simply not turn up!

A very enjoyable experience. Food was delicious, service was very attentive and friendly. Great selection of wines and cocktails.

Good food,very busy but quite expensive. Very attentive staff. Parking there (on the streeta nightmare but overall very worthwhile.

A really nice experience at the Ivy Cobham! We were a party of four and all had three courses all of which were delicious. Would definitely recommend to others. My only piece of feedback would be regarding the sourdough bread. Although the flavour was lovely, it isnt stated on the menu that you receive a whole loaf of this. One of our party ordered this and was of the opinion it was about 3-4 slices, so I would say if the menu could be updated to reflect this, this would make it a bit less misleading. All in all though, a good experience and would certainly go back!

Was absolutely delighted at my dining experience here my partner took me here for afternoon tea for a surprise for my birthday and the atmosphere the food the waiters the scenery was all so beautiful I’ll definitely be coming back again

Went there with colleagues. I ordered tempura prawns as starters which were good. I had salmon with aubergine, which lacked seasoning. The highlight was the Chocolate Bombe.Service was patchy and some of our members had to wait long for their food to arrive.

Very beautiful restaurant. I felt comfortable, the service was good and I enjoyed the meal. The food is well made.

Great food and dining experience. Service might get a bit slow when it’s crowded. Best to make a reservation to make sure that you’re not waiting a long time for a table.

First time at The Ivy and I was not disappointed. All the dishes were delicious and of course well presented. Upon looking up, it was clear this was a problem that had occurred before. I had paid so I had not option and was offered to move.Would have liked a e-mail address to offer my opinion.My guests I had not seen for 2 years and 9 months due to COVID.So I will sadly be not returning again

The Ivy has one of the best reputations as an exquisite restaurant and this establishment proves why it does. The food is top class and the atmosphere is unique resulting in a great dining experience.

The Cobham Ivy is THE place to go to, if you love greenery as you tuck into yummy food. There is a huge selection for vegetarians. The wines are excellent. The portions are generous but not wasteful. The desserts are to die for. The taste and the presentation of the soup is cute. Have you sat before a bowl of soup empty but tiny flowers and julienne of tomato, only to have your server elegantly pour out the soup for you?The service is phenomenal. Why dont you start a franchise in India? Would love to eat often in your place.

Poor service and poor foodWhen you are are paying top end price, one of our dinners main courses didn’t turn up until after the rest of us had finished ours. He may have been the lucky one as the burger was dry with bun stale and the pasta dish tasted like they forgot to add the flavouring

Had a wedding lunch there on the 5th August. The food was amazing. Stunning restaurant and decor.Service from everyone was great. Our waiter Louis was outstanding!

My family and I ate here yesterday lunchtime. We were sat in the conservatory which was light airy and very comfortable. The food was very tasty and beautifully presented. The service was also excellent. We would definitely recommend and revisit.

So disappointed, this was our second visit to an Ivy restaurant the first time was in London & not a great experience but we put it down to the pandemic so decided to give the Cobham one a go. Beautiful surroundings but disappointing food & service. Our friends meal didn’t turn up at all, we asked several times for the the food but they had clearly forgotten, we asked 3 times for a beer before it finally arrived, there were lots of waiters standing around so they weren’t short staffed. My friends meal of linguine was bland, the burger my husband had didn’t taste good at all & the bun was stale. The desserts were ridiculous- mini truffles were just 6 tiny truffles (£4.50)on a plate & the Eaton mess was just literally a meringue nest with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream & a strawberry on top- an unbelievable £9!!Very very disappointing & very expensive for mediocre food.

Went for a family lunch and loved every minute. From walking in the door we were so well looked after. Service was fantastic and our waiters were top notch! They provided great advice on dishes. Everyone loved their food and enjoyed every dish we had. Food was so fantastic and they catered amazingly for vegetarian and vegan in the group. Highly recommended and will definitely go back in future.

I absolutely love this Ivy. Such a lovely feel about it. I particularly love the conservatory/courtyard area. Light and airy yet a secluded feel to it. The staff are attentive yet relaxed and friendly. The food is superb with lots of choices. Make sure if you love a dessert you go for the chocolate bomb! Its to die for 😋

Had a lovely night here with my family where we celebrated my brothers 60th birthday. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Food was really nice and plenty to choose from.

Asked for a nice cosy table for 2 people inside the resturant and I was assured that this is still absolutely fine by the lady who called me to check we are still arriving that evening to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. On arrival we were seated in the conservatory at a tiny cold square garden marble table, so small it was difficult to fit our dishes on. The seating was a sofa so you couldn’t sit up right at the table comfortably and felt too low for the table. Different to what they show on their website.To be honest it was like a glorified canteen.The waiters were lovely and attentive, our starters were nice except for the sirloin steak which was really chewy so I had to leave the chewed up steak on the plate. Not in a rush to go back which is such a shame as was looking forward to going there.. Having read their dress code on the website, I wish I had gone in trainers and ripped jeans now. The champagne was good. 🥂

I went here for my 30th birthday, it was a lovely place & the interior was beautiful. Obviously youre expecting to pay a bit more for somewhere like this, so you wouldnt be going here everyday. The staff were attentive & really nice & even gave me a profiterole with a candle on because it was my birthday! Lovely touch. I only have three things that stopped me giving 5 stars. Firstly the car park is so small ! So we had to park halfway down the road. Secondly as we were a party of 2 we were placed in a corner, we were very out of the way & had no atmosphere on a Friday night! Thirdly I ordered the chicken milanese which was beautifully cooked but I asked for it without the egg it came with the egg which let the dish down.

Lovely staff and nice location and building, somewhere we tend to return to again and again. Always as spot on with food as they are with service. My partner who is vegetarian loves their vegetarian menu as well and they add and subtract dishes seasonally so often something new to try.

Booked the table for my birthday. Although the restaurant was quite empty when we arrived, we were seated quite close to the waiter’s computer and not in the main area.The food is expensive, we really enjoyed the smoked salmon and squid, but shrimp cocktail wasn’t as nice. Fish and chips was nice. We liked that they had some smaller desserts. Quite pricey overall, but the service was great and food was ok. Next time would like to get the table in the garden.

We had very good experience. The timing and the arrival of the food on the table was perfect. The Happy Anniversary profiterole from the house made overall experience very beautiful.

Went there for my birthday lunch. Lovely interior, average food and unenthusiastic service. The white onion and truffle soup and the sea bream were good. Blackened cod and fish cake were a bit disappointing.Regarding their service, I would say the attitude of some staff members was even a bit indifferent and impolite. Lastly, I see that they have free parking on site but the parking instruction in the booking confirmation suggested us park somewhere else with a fee. Not an enjoyable experience and would recommend exploring other restaurants in the town.

This Branch of The Ivy is over rated in my experience. We placed our orders about 20 minutes after arrival.The starters arrived in reasonable time. Although the hot starters arrived first and we had to wait quite a bit for the two cold starters. After this, we waited another 75 minutes for our main courses. There were 7 in our party. No orders were special orders and 5 orders were for their signature dishes. When they arrived we waited 10 more minutes for the vegetables to arrive for 4 of the orders. Meals were acceptable but not anything special and definitely not worth the price. This restaurant charges separately for vegetables and gives nothing else without an extra charge so dont expect bread on the table or any other niceties like olives or balsamic and olive oil. We did order dessert. All of which were ice creams. 20 minutes later we decided to cancel dessert as we didnt want to waste any more time. Strangely enough the desserts arrived then with the lower ice cream scoops melting. To be accurate and fair, they removed the dessert charges from the Bill but this experience has put us off this Ivy branch. Oh, forgot to say that the vegetables were untrimmed green beans and luke warm broccoli.The whole meal took just under 3 hours. Plenty of waiting staff but the kitchen seemed to mix up or delay orders, even within the same table. Not impressed.

My partner and I had not booked a table and were able to be seated immediately on arrival.The decor inside was exquisite as one would expect from The Ivy.The service was A grade and the food delicious and with generous portions. I had the fish pie for my main dish, as per photo.

Gorgeous breakfast in a fabulous setting. The service is outstanding. Would definitely recommend , thank you!

If I could give more stars, I would!What an INCREDIBLE lunch we had here yesterday. I had requested a quiet table for a business meeting, and we were given (from what I could tell), the BEST table in the restaurant, was perfect. Service was second to none, thank you to our wonderful server. Attentive, efficient and not too intrusive. Loved the Ivy branded hand sanitiser on each table. Food was fantastic - we had scallops + prawn tempura to start, followed by fish cakes + monkfish curry for main, finished with apple tart + creme brûlée for pudding - cannot fault a single element. Prosecco was delicious and cold, and my associate had an amazing cocktail - started off with just a chunk of candy floss, and then the drink is poured over the top making the floss dissolve. Magic!The ladies bathroom deserves its own review to be honest, stunning! Even if you dont need to go, its worth checking out and having a selfie!Parking could have proved a bit tricky, but luckily I have a tiny car and could fit in a spot previously overlooked by all the 4x4 beasts filling up the modest car park.Overall, a wonderful experience and I cannot wait to come back! Thank you!

The Ivy Cobham Brasserie is a lovely retreat next to River Mole in Cobham.Its elegant atmosphere is quite charming with several nice and cozy seating areas including an outdoor space looking on River Mole.Its bar looks so attractive and their drinks menu is satisfactory for almost every taste.The restaurant itself provide delicious dishes for each course made by variety of tasteful ingredients including meet, chicken and sea food.They have kids menu too for younger guests too and our kids were enjoying their time there too.Their hosts are kind, helpful with a such and well enough hospitality attitude that gives you total comfortable feeling.I think The Ivy Cobham is one of those places where after your first visit, you promise to yourself to return to it again and soon.

Wonderful brunch at the Ivy Brasserie. We had the full English and the vegetarian and they were delicious. Service was excellent as always. We sat in the conservatory which has a very nice mood and atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Lovely food, cocktails and service. Staff are so friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed. Reasonably priced too and the restaurant is set in a nice location with parking (although quiet small). COVID-19 compliant which made me feel safe.

This ivy Brasserie in Cobham is really nice, we were here for breakfast, the ambiance is really good the staff gave a great service and were very friendly and attentive, when we walked in the did a temperature test and asked everyone to use the sanitiser, their was even hand sanitiser on each table when we sat down. The place looks great, very clean. The breakfast was brilliant, definitely worth coming back. Thanks to the staff

Went here for brunch. I had avocado poached egg on toast..it was delicious and healthy. The virgin mary was just perfect too. The restaurant decor was beautiful and there was a lot of space. Very small parking area, so take the train..

This branch is amazing! They all are really.. but something about this one. Went for breakfast and the food, service attention to detail was stunning! Keep up the good work! Will be back soon!

Always a firm favourite. Local and consistently good. Has a great ‘West-end’ style buzz, with a beautiful long bar to match, serving up delicious cocktails. Can get a little loud... I put it down to excited people, having fun. Booking advisable, although you can sometimes turn up weekdays for brunch/lunch and get in without a reservation.

The Ivy at Cobham was an excellent experience. The food and service was first class and whilst prices reflect the quality, service and location, they are not out of control. The menu options were excellent and there is a dedicated Vegan & Plant Based menu that is extremely welcome addition to any restaurant with a great range of quality options.

Had a breakfast treat from my wife and son here today (29/11/18). It was indeed a positively memorable experience. The food was on point, the presentation on point, the service was on point and the ambiance was one of a wonderful dining experience. Definitely giving it the thumbs-up 👍. A must visit for a dinner experience next.

This place is superb. Excellent staff, superb food and a lovely atmosphere. The food is expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for. We took a one year old and two older boys and the staff were very helpful. Parking on site is occasionally hard, but theres plenty of on street parking.
