50 Canada Square Park The Ivy in the Park, London E14 5FW, Machinga
Modern British menus served in a refined, art-filled space with a garden terrace and an orangery.
We just had a great dinners very good service, good vibe and I love the dark lighting. Bonus point my 2 years old daughter felt asleep and we finally enjoy a relaxed dinner after age 😀
Service was absolutely poor. We got there 30 min early and were asked if we wanted our table but we sat in the bar area first for a drink. 5 min before our booking time we went and said we are ready for the table but they had given it away and we had to wait another 20 min. We were put in an area that seemed out of the way and was ignored for about 20-25 min and the only way we got service was to go up and complain. The food was great but they did not cook my rib eye the way I asked for it. I ate it and it was nice. The area we were in was leaking when it rained, People were moved because of this. My mum tried to use the disabled toilet but the staff were in there using it and she had to have a chair to sit on and wait. We were given a discount for the inconvenience and poor service but we were willing to pay full price if only we had a better experience at a place that is meant to be one the top restaurants in London. I can safely say we will not be going back to this venue because of the poor service and its leaking roof. The staff who bought us our meal did not know the difference between a rib eye and a sirloin steak and tried to give us the wrong one. On a side note the gravy boats are made of metal and the gravy or sauce goes cold quickly if not all poured on at once.
Stunning evening spent with family. Food and service were exceptional. Worth every penny!
Positives:Went to the Ivy for our Mother’s Day Celebration. Beautiful atmosphere but it was extremely busy, understandably. Classy and elegant restaurant.Staff all dressed professionally and service was great - staff were friendly and professional. Food came in good time. Very tasty and delicious.Negatives;Finding the restaurant was difficult. Looked for it for a while walking around. Situated close to a mall and tall buildings which might not be a preference if you are looking for a natural view.Might not be ideal for a romantic evening, if going on such a busy day including weekend. :-)
I do not usually leave reviews for restaurants but on this occasion I have to. I made a booking and had to change it a few times because we had to change the number of people attending. We went from 6 people to 9 and the restaurant did everything they could to help us. They really went out of their way ... Thank you. We was served by Gabriel and he was brilliant, nothing was a problem and his customer skills, his demeanour making sure we have everything we need was exceptional. I would like to add the food was amazing. Would I return? 100% thank you all at The Ivy .... made the evening exceptional. Gabriel you have great future ahead of you.
Excellent lunch. The summer truffles and onion soup is exquisite. The mozzarella salad, eggs benedict and shepherds pie above average and beautifully presented.Drinkable Chablis. Will return.
Went for afternoon tea. Lovely setting and friendly staff..bit disappointed with only one small finger sandwich 2 very small buns and cakes. Could have done with more savoury items. And only half a pot of tea..had 2 teens with us didnt want tea but Lemonade unable to change the option. Price ok but we could takeaway the cakes we didnt finish..was there for tern birthdays and so they got a large profiterole with a birthday message
Was a bit disappointed. I usually really enjoy the food at The Ivy’s across London but my chicken was bland and the service was slow during this visit (got our order wrong a few times). This visit didn’t match up to the price
Gorgeous decor with a nice and lively ambiance. However, the food was far from that, I was grossly disappointed with the quality of the food. The burger was burnt and tasteless and the chips were very dry, not even condiments could save them. The food was definitely over priced for what it was, and it is overly popular most likely due to name and location.
What a lovely spot to stop in for lunch! There was live music and nearly every table was full - we walked in at 3pm and were able to get a table for an hour. The dish I got was the prawn and avocado open faced sandwich. This was absolutely incredible and more than what I could hope for in a sandwich - the sauce the use and the massive heap of shrimp they added on really made this dish fantastic.
Very slow service - we’re informed there was an electrical problem in the kitchen after waiting almost an hour.Ordered drinks did not arrive at the table.Staff did not communicate with each other.Food was nice but pricey. One bowl of four olives was charged at £3.95 (almost £1 per olive!)I had a gift voucher to spend and would not return to spend my hard earned cash. The venue itself was very nice and colourful and pleasant to sit in.A little over rated unfortunately 😞
Its ok. The food is quite nice, but the portions are small and very pricey. A large bottle of water costs £9.00. Its about 100mls. A handful of chips is also £9.00. I suppose the high cost is because of the area. I think the food could be better and the vegan option is mostly salads.
Both the service and the food were top quality. The place is not too crowded, unlike some other Ivys.
Lovely place. Loved the ambience, service, and hospitality of the staff. The only minor drawback for me was the portion size. I found it a bit small for my liking, but apart from that it was a wonderful experience. We went there to celebrate my wifes birthday with her mum and our two-month old. Staff made sure we got a bit secluded space, if my wife needed to breast-feed. We were also given a surprise complimentary celebration plate at the end of the meal, to celebrate the birthday. Loved it.
Good Food, nice settings.. but many dating couples.. not ideal for a group of 4 girls :-you need to know which wine ...
Experienced this restaurant during the Queen’s Jubilee which was celebrated with a special drink menu. The location and setting are gorgeous and colorful. The menu rather inclusive of all kinds of diets from plant based to meat and fish eaters. Drinks menu could be it’s own venue and service was excellent. We had the zucchini fries and bread and butter to start, steak tartare and miso salmon as mains. Everything was fresh and delicious. Dessert was the only disappointment. I ordered a gelato that came a bit melted. Prices are reflective of the cuisine but well worth it for a special occasion, catch up with a friend of a date!
I’ve tried the Ivy restaurant on Los Angels, this has more options and better location, love the balcony seating better decorations. The lobster linguine the one on Los Angels is more delicious than this, but other starters is way better here.
Came here for our anniversary yesterday - food and atmosphere was great with very friendly staff. For starters we had tempura prawns and rice balls - both were lovely!! For mains, I went for the Korean chicken with a side of chips (loved the Korean chicken- was moist and so tastywould definitely recommend! My partner had their burger and was also happy! They were even kind enough to bring us a desert on the house for our anniversary! Thank you for a lovely experience! Great quality food and a beautiful place to dine at in the summer☺️
Lovely atmosphere, food was great , ambiance was on point although the starter I ordered was expecting chunk of duck not mashed duck , overall it was great 9/10
Vibey restaurant with incredible interior design, comfy, relaxed and sophisticated. Add tasty grub and attentive service and your sure to have an enjoyable time, whether it is brunch, lunch, high tea or dinner.
We sat at the bar for a cocktails which were very nice, entrance staff polite bar staff didnt look happy to be there. Toilets awful! Loo roll on the floor, 3 toilets, one was over blocked with no sign on the door, and the other had a broken seat, you could tell they hadnt been cleaned something they should be checking regular with the customer turn over.
Great indoor space. The staff was really nice and efficient! I love Shepherd’s pie so much. Highly recommend!
Lovely atmosphere and delicate decorations in this restaurant, it’d be a good choice for special dates or celebrations.Overall, food is nice and delicious, also, they came really quick; however, the rib eye steak is not what we ordered ‘rare’, a bit overcooked outside so it taste chewy…and it doesn’t come with fries or any sides for more than £30.
This place is absolutely a Gen in the middle of the city. The food is excellent, the service s great and the design of the place is significant. It seems that most of the people arrive here are from the financial district, arriving for small talk meetings over coffee. We were looking for a nice place for a British breakfast and were lucky enough to find it.
Good ambience, attentive staff, good starters but let down by the mains. The blackened cod tasted average when compared to the likes of Roka. Cocktails were above average but really expected more from the price. Overall its a good restaurant and worth a visit but there are so many better restaurants in London which makes the Ivy look mediocre
I’ve dined at the Ivy Canary Wharf quite a few times now and tried a lot of the options on their menu. I can honestly say that I have never been disappointed! It’s a perfect spot for almost every occasion. The staff and servers are all so kind and caring and the food is 10/10. Can’t wait to go back!
Food was super good and tasty. Vibe was great. Perfect place for dinner. Managed to get a 10.30pm booking and it closed at 12.30pm. Later than stated on google. Will go back if ever in Canary Wharf again.
Always enjoy the Ivy, eaten in both Norwich and Canary Wharf, not been disappointed yet, I would give an extra star for bringing me a no so little birthday surprise, which was delicious if not a little early in the day for cake but what the hell, its not like Im going to say no thank you. 🤷🏿♂️
Very smooth, efficient and delicious experience. The staff were amazing and the food was incredible! Perhaps I would have hoped to see more vegetarian options available, but neverthless, I was fully happy with my choice! 👍
Went there for Valentines Day dinner. It was absolutely amazing. The food is incredible, the location is very nice and the staff are outstanding and super friendly. My partner and I had three course each, I had a non-alcoholic cocktail and my partner had some kind of gin. We ended up paying £99 with the service charge included. It is an amazing place and well worth a visit.
This was my first time at any of the Ivies - though I was yet to go to the flagship in Covent Garden, the opportunity arose to eat at the Canary Wharf location and I decided to see what the fuss was about. Inside, a convivial atmosphere is immediately created with an abundant use of wallpapers, mirrors, and dimmed lighting. I ordered a Negroni and their steak tartare to start, both of which were done well and the latter coming with a generous helping of toasted sourdough, a bonus considering they dont give you free table bread here. For my main, I ordered the duck curry; the duck was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was a perfect mix of sweetness and heat. One small letdown was the service - it felt very abrupt and lacked charm - but ultimately minor considering I enjoyed the food and atmosphere.
The Ivy at Canary Wharf is so much nicer and welcoming than the Tower Bridge branch! Lovely decor and the fish and chips are delicious and quite a good portion size for the price. Presented very well with the lemon, vinegar and tartar sauce served on the side. Desserts were also lovely 😊
The Ivy is such an oasis in the middle of Canary Wharf. The aesthetic is top notch. However I felt that the food and drinks didnt live up to it. The cocktail was not one of the best (the only component you could taste was wine, which was a let down. Not balanced at alland the food itself was just...ok. Brilliantly presented but didnt really hit the mark. In addition to this, we had to wait 10+ minutes to be seated, as our table "wasnt ready" despite our reservation and the fact that I counted at least 4 tables for two ready. The hostess at the entrance asked me multiple times if I wanted to get a drink at the bar whilst I waited but whats the point of reserving a table, if its not ready by the time you arrive? Just to add on that one, I was also 5 minutes late, so there was really no excuse in my opinion.
Lovely place to go as a family, our 9 month old had a great time! We booked in advance and had a secluded table with a high chair, food arrived promptly and was delicious, staff paid attention to our little one too. Highly recommend!
An amazing place to eat out.The food was top class and the service was A star. The staff were so professional and attentative, from the moment we were escorted to our table, to When we were choosing our food and right to When we left. Beautiful evening, nice place to eat out and well recommended 💯
Amazing spot for breakfast/ brunch. Great atmosphere and beautiful plant-themed decoration. My go-to dishes are their pancakes, egg Benedict and English breakfast. Lunch / dinner are good but not my top choice.
Reliable, consistent and service is always friendly and welcoming.I would enjoy The Ivy a bit more if each independent place had a few special dishes to call its own.Other than that very good as per usual.
the interior is quite peculiar; staff is nice.Food -wise is okay-ish, we had salmon, shepherds pie and fish &chips as main and shrimps as starter . I would say it s quite overpriced and I am not sure if it s worthy. Would recommend it? Probably not.
We had a nice dinner after the ice rink session. We didn’t had a booking, but they were he be able to offer us a table in 1h. Just went for some drinks then got back to the restaurant. Great atmosphere, service and staff member. We’ll be back soon
My boyfriend took me here for a little spontaneous birthday celebration after work without booking. The hostess was so nice to help us to coordinate a table. The vibe is awesome! No wonder it’s very popular!I really appreciate it :)
Great place for weekend branch. Very nice interior design and good service. Booking is essential on weekends, place is packed.Big variety of cocktails, including non-alcoholic. Menu is also very diverse. Really liked their tempura prawns with kimchi mayo and was pleasantly surprised with their burger as well. Fries were not that good though.
This place is absolutely amazing! I loved the interior of the place, staff were friendly and on point. We ordered few main dishes and desserts and they were delicious! Prices are reasonable high but worth it. I highly recommend it 🔥
dont come here if youre looking for a quiet time with your date as loud music is played over the speakers. nor should you come here if you dont like glass or mirrors as theres plenty of that in this place. this is the kind of place you would come with your friends before visiting a nightclub or after a hard week being a master of the universe in the surrounding banks and have the urge to be loud and raucous. food is nothing special - pricey pub food is the best way to describe it. but then again who wants a deconstructed shephards pie cooked in a waterbath.
Such a beautiful restaurant! Everything was top notch, the wait staff, the decor, the food, the DJ (the music was so good!), the small touches - everything. We had a bit of an issue with a leaky roof (there was torrential rain, and we were sat upstairs underneath a part of the retracting roofbut I could tell the staff were sorry/mortified. Don’t forget to get your parking validated before you leave! Up to 3 hrs free parking in Canary Wharf car parks if you’ve spent money in their restaurants/shops. I will definitely be back.
What a lovely establishment. Easy to book a table online. They accept Amex. Lovely staff- impeccably dressed. The menu is really diverse. Great flavours, and food arrives piping hot. Seating is well spaced. Lovely decor and ambience. Thank you for such a lovely lunch.
It was my first time coming to The Ivy Canary Wharf and I must say my dining experience was pleasant. The food was 7/10 (I got the fish & chips), the dessert was the best 10/10, the decor was really nice and to make it even better..the view was amazing! Service was really good too, the waiter that served us was very attentive and overall not that expensive. Will defo be coming back here for future occasions.
Nice and quality restaurant. Located in a fancy place and great outdoor seats as well. Fantastic decoration! Fish and chips was so nice with tartar sauce and mashed peas. Fish cake was amazing!! Never tasted like this before.
Had my graduation dinner at The Ivy and our table was taken care of by Mantes who was excellent! Food came out quick and warm, drinks were strong and not watered down. Favourite thing was the tempura squid and prawns! Thank you too Mantes again! He really made sure we were taken care of. Cant wait to return for Brunch.
The atmosphere is nice the vibe is good. The food is nice too. The only issue I had was the server that serviced our table did not seem like he wanted to wait on our table, he literally throw down the portion on chips that where missed on a reorder after they got the steak wrong, he pretty much huffed everything we asked for more drinks or salt or pepper, it was like it was too much to ask. That made a nice night out more of a dampener. Food was still good when the Order was brought out.
It was a lovely place, great atmosphere, booked for a birthday.Staff was very friendly and asked for feedback on how to improve which I liked. I was very honest about my order garden pea risotto, as I couldnt eat it, waiter asked as my plate was full.We ordered the seafood linguine, fish and chips,Veg garden pea risotto wasnt the best couldnt eat it., burger, monkfish prawn curry, which was beautiful. Cocktails were nice.I have attached the pictures.Thank you very much hope it helps.Definitely go to experience this restaurant.Hit the like button
